Defiant by Max Hawthorn (1)

Prologue

ONE YEAR AGO

In the Gospel According to Dad, Jayden was pretty sure getting fucked by a stranger in a nightclub restroom made him the Worst Son Ever.

“You like that?” The stranger had a great way of growling as he fucked Jayden up against the stall’s door. He was huge, a beast of a man with muscles Jayden never even got to see, but sure could imagine under the lines of his tight shirt.

“Yeah,” Jayden gasped. His cheek was pressed against the door, his hands were spread to the door frame to keep the flimsy stall from spitting them both out to where everyone could see.

Everyone could damn well hear, though.

“Yeah,” he grunted. “I fucking love that!”

They hadn’t swapped names. Why would they? That went against the point of picking up strangers in clubs. If you asked for names, phone numbers came next, and after that?

Dates.

Maybe flowers.

Then a whole lot of weirdness and bruised egos when they found out who Jayden’s father was.

God, but this guy was good! He was everything Jayden hoped for but so rarely managed to get. Rough, but not dangerously so. Powerful, but in control of himself. Hung like a fucking freight train, but with the knowledge of what to do with that glorious cock.

It filled Jayden almost to breaking point, fucking every last care in the world out of him the deeper and harder and faster it went.

Sometimes the stranger gripped his wrists.

Sometimes he grabbed Jayden’s hair.

Jayden’s cock was still in his own pants. This guy had pulled down Jayden’s briefs enough to fuck his hole, but hadn’t lowered them all the way. It teased and tantalized as he was banged solid up against a vertical, unyielding surface, but the cotton protected him from painful friction.

Yeah, this guy was damn good.

Maybe they should have swapped names, ‘cause Jayden was half sure that this asshole was gonna ruin him for hookups for a hell of a long time.

“You know,” came that addictive growl, right into his ear, “I’m gonna fuck you until you cream your pants, and then I’m gonna leave you here with no idea what fucking day it is. I hope you like a good old-fashioned walk of shame, ‘cause nobody out there is gonna look at you and not know you just got fucked so hard you can barely stand up.”

Full, with that thick length hammering his prostate, and the stranger’s deliciously filthy words in his head, Jayden found peace.

It was the only way he found peace.

His orgasm ruined him. Like a terrier, it sank its teeth into him and shook him until he was nothing more than a boneless, quivering wreck. He didn’t know which way was up. He was damn sure he couldn’t stand under his own strength, but those arms were like a vise, and they weren’t letting him fall. He thought maybe he felt the stranger swell and spit in his ass, but he was too far gone to care, caught up in all-consuming bliss.

What day was it, anyway?

He laughed feebly in between gasps, and the beast withdrew slowly from his ass.

“You okay?” His partner breathed it against his jaw.

“Mmmh.” Jayden managed a nod. Or at least, he thought he did. He tried. “That was amazing. Thank you. I needed that.”

“You and me both.”

Jayden found himself being moved around the stall and lowered to sit on the closed toilet seat. The guy propped him against one wall so that he wouldn’t topple over, which gave Jayden a great view of that cock one last time as the stranger pulled his condom off and tucked himself away.

He hadn’t even pushed his jeans down to fuck Jayden.

“Lock the door once I’m gone,” the stranger said, his dark eyes suddenly serious. “Let me know once you’ve done it.”

Jayden blinked up at him and found nothing but concern, so he gave a little nod. “Pinkie swear.”

“Good. I don’t like it when people don’t do as I say.”

And that was it. He was gone, pulling the door closed after himself, his fingers there and holding it place at the top of the door.

Jayden leaned forward once he had the strength and slid the lock into place. “Done,” he called weakly.

The door wobbled as the lock was tested, and then the fingers were gone.

Jayden let his eyes drift closed, and they stayed that way until his cellphone rang.

He didn’t answer it.
