Dragon's Surrogate Baby (Shifter Surrogate Service Book 4) by Sky Winters (21)

Chapter 21

Despite being twins and both boys, that seemed to be all their two boys had in common. Even from birth, they were different in ways apparent to both the eye and ear.

Conor looked just like his father with black hair and brown eyes. His sallow skin was in stark comparison to his brother’s paler complexion. You’d not know that the blonde haired boy with soft amber eyes could possibly be a twin, but Angus was certainly that.

As they grew into young toddlers, Conor remained stockier and taller, while Angus was of slighter, athletic build. Even their personalities were different. To look at them, you’d assume that Conor was bold, brash, while Angus was more quiet and reserved, but they were just the opposite of that. Conor was shaping up to be somewhat of a gentle giant with even temperament and always so loving. Angus, on the other hand, was loud and demanding, plus hyper in a way that Conor seemed to only find amusing. It wasn’t uncommon to find Angus crawling into mayhem while Conor sat nearby smiling in amusement, but not participating.

“We’re really going to have our hands full with these two when they get big enough to do more than pull up on the coffee table,” Colin remarked one day, watching Angus trying to get close enough to their new puppy’s tail to pull it while Conor sat stacking blocks around it, building a fortress that Angus would only knock over the moment he caught sight of it and it distracted him from the puppy.

Still, they both seemed like happy, content boys and that was all that mattered. It was such a pleasure to watch them grow and thrive. Ashley could no longer imagine that they had once been destined to spend their lives only with Colin, never knowing her as their mother and she never knowing them. It was so much more perfect this way.

Nearly a year had passed since she and Colin had married. For their first anniversary, they had planned to finally have the more formal wedding they had talked about. She had been putting together many of the details for months and Colin had been tending to some others. Her dress was ready only a few weeks ago and she couldn’t wait to wear it. Though this wedding, too, would be small, it would be more what she had always wanted.

When the day came to get ready to finally make it happen, she was excited beyond believe. She and Colin found themselves nervously handing off their young boys to their grandparents to take their first trip away from them. They had flown to Italy to meet them and make final preparations for the ceremony in a lovely gazebo that she and Colin had selected from first hand photos taken by his mother.

Colin had been right about his mother’s relationship with her. Over time, she had warmed to Ashley in a way even her own mother never seemed to have shared with her. When his parents were at their home in Scotland, she was more than happy to babysit the children, so they could go out for a bit and even happier to leave them with the men so the two of them could enjoy a day out having lunch and enjoying some much needed down time from the rigors of rearing small children.

Today, she was the model of support as she helped Ashley get to her hair and makeup appointments and assisted her with getting into her dress before driving her to the wedding location so that Colin would not see her dressed before the wedding. Despite it being their second wedding, she still insisted it was bad luck and they had already tempted being jinxed by him seeing the first one before the ceremony and Ashley had to say that the dress itself was stunning.

This time, Ashley wore a form-fitting mermaid dress made of ivory colored satin, with a partial lace overlay and the veil she had worn previously, this time with ivory accents added to the white so that it matched her dress. Around her neck were the pearls that had belonged to Colin’s grandmother, both old and borrowed. Her earrings were blue sapphires, a gift from his mother, both new and blue. She felt exquisite as they walked down the aisle scattered with rose petals toward the open gazebo.

Strangers stood by, watching the open ceremony with broad smiles. Colin’s parents stood nearby with the babies, smiling broadly as they watched the couple exchange vows for a second time. There was a huge cheer that went up from the surrounding crowd as Colin scooped her up in his arms and kissed her before they ran back down the aisle toward a waiting limousine. Ashley looked out the window at Colin’s parents, who were helping the boys wave goodbye to them and she felt a sadness at being separated from them.

“They will be fine, Mommy,” Colin teased.

“I know. It’s still hard, though,” she replied.

“I’ll show you something hard later,” he whispered playfully.

“Oh! You’re rotten,” she replied.

“To the core,” he joked, leaning in to give her a kiss.

Things were hectic as they arrived at the airport and made their way through ticketing and security. They cuddled and kissed as they navigated immigration, drawing giggles from some little girls nearby. Soon, they were on a plane headed toward Greece, where they would switch to a tiny puddle jumper plane to land on the nearby Corfu Islands.

Ashley had never imagined that she would be honeymooning on some luxury island with a man like Colin. For that matter, she never even imagine that men like him existed and that had nothing to do with the fact that he could shift into a dragon. He was loving, devoted, and already a wonderful father to their children. She could only imagine how things would be in the coming years as they grew older and he began to teach them the things they would need to know to live happily with their special gift.

Though they were both tired when they reached the island, the adrenaline ran high. Each of them were ready to get out and enjoy the night. They sat at a tiki bar on the beach sipping mojitos and watching the sunset sink into the sea in the distance. Ashley watched a yacht float down the waterway and wondered aloud what it was like to live on the water like that.

“I don’t know. You should buy one and see,” Colin told her.

“I don’t think the boys are going to be too happy if I go sailing off into the sunset without them.”

“Just the boys?”

“You might be a little upset too,” she said, kissing him on the cheek.

“You should buy one. You can afford it now that you’ve taken all my money.”

“I’ve hardly taken all of it.”

“Well, eight million is a lot of it.”

“Not my fault you tagged on an extra fee in case of twins,” she laughed.

In fact, she had been surprised when he had informed her that the transfer of funds had been made. She had not expected for him to pay her after the circumstances had changed. After all, they were married now, but he had insisted that they had an agreement and he owed her the money, transferring the funds despite her protest. She was well aware now that eight million dollars was a drop in the bucket for him, even without his parents’ money that would eventually come to him.

Ashley would have to eventually go home and retrieve the rest of her things from storage and her old apartment, which she had continued to maintain all this time despite not being there to live in it. She had thought that it would be handled for when they visited the state, but realized that it was no longer home. When they returned to the States, it would be more of a family trip to see other places rather than returning to a place that hadn’t felt like a home to her for years.

They watched as the sun sank down out of sight, leaving them in the darkness, only illuminated by the rising moon and nearby torches. It was so peaceful here, despite the numerous tourists around and the beauty of it all was indescribable.

“You were absolutely beautiful today. That dress was just perfection,” he told her.

“I’m glad you liked it. You didn’t look bad in your tux either.”

“I’m surprised you stuck it out this long really. I can only assume that it is my great man beauty that has kept you by my side all this time.”

“Oh, yes. If you had been an uglier man, I’d have been gone by now,” she scoffed.

“I know. I guess we’re both lucky. You get to be with someone as gorgeous as me and I get to be with someone who makes me look more ordinary by comparison.”

“I am constantly bowled over by your choice of words when attempting to be flattering,” she told him.

“Right? There’s that too. My charm and sense of humor.”

“Absolutely.”

Colin laughed at his own chest thumping, staring off into the distance for a moment before looking back at her again with a more serious tone.

“You are the best thing to ever happen to a loser like me. I am so lucky that you chose not to waddle away while you had the chance.”

“I think it might have been one of my better choices in life.”

Colin smiled and looked at his nearly empty glass, running his finger around the edge.

“I don’t know about you, but I think I’m ready for bed,” he told her, picking it up to finish off his drink.

“That sounds like a lovely idea,” she replied, standing to follow him back to their bungalow.

Colin wasted no time once they were in the room. They hadn’t had much alone time since the twins had come. Their sex life had been reduced to stolen moments during naps and play dates with their grandparents. Now that they were here alone, with no one to interrupt them, they could take their time, but he seemed anxious to get right to things and she found that she didn’t mind. They could take their time later. Right now, she just wanted him to fuck her.

She groaned as he reached out to cup her breasts in his palms. His skin felt hot against hers, and she closed her eyes with a small moan of satisfaction that turned into a gasp as his thumbs flicked over her hardening nipples. Then he released her. She opened her eyes to find him circling her, seemingly focused intently, so intently that it felt like he was making a mental image of her every angle.

She turned, keeping him in sight, but with her feet planted firmly in one spot. He finally completed his exam, looking into her eyes. He shook his head and made a clicking sound with his tongue.

“Just as perfect as the day I met you,” he told her.

“Well, thank you. You are just as perfect as the day I met you too,” she told him.

“I love the way you get so excited just thinking about what I am going to do to you. I can smell you when you’re so wet. I love knowing that you want me to touch you, stroke you. It’s hot knowing how much you want me inside of you.”

She started to protest, despite him being completely right. Couldn’t have him getting cocky, after all. He knew her too well, though. He could see the way her skin flushed when she was excited. His heightened senses didn’t miss the way her pulse pounded or the obvious beat in her neck. He could see her shortness of breath as her chest rose and fell in a labored fashion. No doubt, he didn’t miss the dilation of her eyes and he had already made it clear that he could smell the dampness between her legs.

So, there was no need in protesting. Instead, she let her gaze fall down toward his crotch. His own thin linen pants did very little to hide the fact that he was quite excited too.

“I like knowing how hard I make you as well,” she replied.

“I’m tempted to throw you across the bed and take you right now.”

“Yes, oh, please, yes.”

He stepped closer, and though he still didn’t touch her, every atom in her body buzzed and hummed in anticipation and need. The only word that continued to come to mind was “please.” It screamed through her brain as if her pussy had a megaphone to signal how bad the desire was for him. “Please touch me,” it yelled.

“Soon,” he said. “What’s that saying? All good things come to those who wait?”

“Fuck waiting.”

At that, he laughed outright. “For the record, I feel the same way. But I’m having too much fun tormenting you to stop.”

“At least you’re honest.”

“That’s me,” he replied.

“Apparently, you bring it out in me. I used to be a real scoundrel. Then I met this absolute angel one day. I wanted to pay her to have my baby, but it felt so dirty to know my work was going to be done by some baby baster apparatus. I could smell you then too, not just that you wanted me, but that you were ripe.”

Ashley’s eyes widened. So, he had planned it, but not exactly for the reasons she had guessed. She couldn’t believe it had taken him all this time to tell her that. It didn’t really matter, not now, perhaps not ever. Still, it was nice to know that she had been right about it. Then it hit her what he was really saying.

“Wait. Are you saying that you can smell me like that again now?”

“Yes.”

“And if we don’t use protection, I could end up with more twins?”

“Yes.”

Ashley contemplated this for a moment, deciding if she wanted to spoil the moment by having to fool with condoms or jellies. They had brought them along, but there was something about what he was saying that made her want to just throw caution to the wind and risk whatever happened. Maybe she would get pregnant again and maybe she wouldn’t. She stood, looking at him, watching him watch her try to decide.

“Fuck me. We’ll have a whole damned rugby team together.”

“That’s my girl,” he said, pulling her close to him and kissing her before pulling back to look at her again. His gaze drifted down to her cleavage, looking at her hard nipples pressed against her thin summer dress. Her nipples grew even tighter in response. A small smile touched his lips as he lifted his eyes back to hers again. “I love to see the subtle changes in your body as you become aroused. I have memorized the expression on your face when you come,” he added.

He took her hand and slipped her fingers between her legs, pressing them inside her panties to where she was hot and slick. A tremor ran through her body as her own finger barely grazed her already sensitive clit.

“Oh, God, Colin, please.”

She wasn’t sure if she was begging for him to let her stop or to demand that he let her continue. He was right about how badly she wanted him, and he intended to continue to torment her for a while. She knew that he loved to tease her more than anything, to push her to her limits before he gave her what she really wanted.

He maintained eye contact with her, watching her as his hand held hers in place, letting her stroke herself for him. Finally, he gently drew her hand away, making her whimper.

“I love pushing your limits until you can’t hold back anymore,” he said, reaching down to lightly stroke between her legs, as she silently screamed in frustration at the gentleness of his touch when she desperately wanted to be ravaged. “Right now, I want to keep you on edge.”

“You’re doing a damn good job of it.”

“I know,” he said. “I also know you are loving every single moment of it.”

“I —I do,” she admitted.

“Isn’t it great to feel alive? Isn’t it incredible to smash up against passion and danger, against temptation and anticipation. You have to push the envelope sometimes, because, otherwise, how do you know what your limits really are?”

“Yes,” she half moaned as his fingers danced inside her, slowly finger fucking her as her legs wobbled weakly beneath her.

“You want me to fuck you?”

“Yes.”

“How badly?”

“In the worst way.”

“Get undressed for me,” he told her, standing back to watch as she stripped off her dress and stood naked in front of him.

“Beautiful. I have the most beautiful wife any man could ever ask for.”

Ashley watched as he stripped off his own clothes and stood in front of her, his cock rock hard as he picked her up and lay her across the bed. Reaching out, he draped her legs across his shoulders and slipped into her as she pushed her hips upward to meet his thrusts. The rhythm between them was wonderful, a perfect harmony as their bodies met and parted time and again.

His strokes grew heavier, harder as his thumb found its way to her clit and began to rub it gently as he dipped in and out of her, playing her to perfection with each and every stroke. Her moans filled their bungalow as he sank into her deeper, piercing her to the core as if to make way for his seed. It was incredibly erotic just thinking about how free it felt not to care about things like getting pregnant. While it was something most women spent a great deal of their life being concerned about, some even inside of marriage, it was no longer on her list of worries.

She knew she could have dozens of children with this man and be happy. They could fill their house with little dragons and never wonder if they’d made a mistake in bringing so many into the world or bothered by eventually separating and leaving them in the lurch somehow. She would always be with Colin. Theirs was a love that other people could only dream of having someday.
