Charlotte breezed over and set a plate down in front of me.
“Thank you, Charlotte. You guys have been very hospitable.”
“Steve and I have really enjoyed your visit. I hope we can do this again soon,” she babbled happily.
After breakfast, Cale and I cleaned up the kitchen so Steve and Charlotte could finish getting ready for work. At a quarter to eight, they came back into the kitchen to say their goodbyes.
