Sakura: A Secret Affair: Falling for Sakura Trilogy Book 3 by Alexia Praks (29)

Ever After

Six Months Later

When Sakura woke up, it was to the sound of birds chirping and morning light shining in through the windows. She blinked a couple of times to get used to the brightness, as she lay there feeling exhausted, as if she had just finished running a race. Once she’d gotten used to the light, she searched about her surroundings, wondering where she was. Because this certainly wasn’t her room.

Her eyes lingered on the beautiful chandelier dangling in the center, the crystals exuding an array of rainbow colors about the space. A moment later, her gaze shifted to the king-sized bed that she was currently in.

She sat up, her mind still reeling over what had happened last night. When she moved, she realized she was naked under the sheet. She frowned for a moment, and then everything came flooding back.

Instantly, she blushed and clutched the sheet against her.

“Oh, God,” she whispered softly. “I’ve done it again, haven’t I? With Sebastian and Darcy?”

She licked her lips as she pulled the silk sheet away from her, and there, her eyes were drawn to the many bruises on her skin. Love bites. They were everywhere on her body.

Last night, how many times had they taken her? Oh, God, she didn’t know. She just knew she had been mindless, only feeling the pleasure while the two men kissed her and took her, and nothing much else.

How many times?

The door squeaked open, and Sakura hastily pulled up the sheet to cover herself. Sebastian came in wearing a bright smile on his face.

“You’re up?” he asked, as he came toward the bed.

Sakura noted that Darcy was behind him, and he, too, was wearing such a ridiculously happy smile on his face that she thought the world had turned topsy-turvy.

“Good morning, Sakura,” he said, coming to stand at the end of the bed.

Sakura licked her lips. Her eyes avoided both men. “Morning.”

Sebastian sat on the bed beside her and pulled her into his arms. He then kissed her on the forehead. “How are you feeling?”

“Like I’ve just run a marathon,” she replied promptly.

At her answer, both men laughed.

Darcy said, “It can’t be helped, considering what we did to you last night.”

Sakura blushed again at the reminder. “I can’t believe you two went all out like that again. I swear, I cannot move an inch now. My whole body is bruised and sore.”

At her declaration, Sebastian pulled the sheet away from her, which made Sakura gasp in outrage. She demanded it back, but Sebastian was stern.

Both men stared extensively at her naked body, which made Sakura groan in despair.

Sebastian said, “Hmm. The bruise will likely stay for a couple of days.”

Sakura sighed in vexation. “That’s not something I want to hear.”

Darcy chuckled, which drew her attention to him. What did he find so funny? Just to show him how unhappy she was, she grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.

Darcy easily caught it. Then he came around to sit on the bed in front of her. “Sorry,” he said. “Now, how about something to eat?”

Sakura nodded. “Yes, please. I’m starving.”

Sebastian said, “Well, it is noon.”

Noon? Had she slept through the whole morning?

Darcy smiled. “You did need your sleep, since we didn’t let you rest until nearly dawn.”

Sakura absorbed this information quietly. So, they had made love to her until nearly dawn? She couldn’t believe it.

“All right,” Sebastian said. “I’ll cook lunch.”

Sakura nodded. “And I’ll have a bath.”

“I’ll draw one for you.” Darcy offered. “Since you can’t possibly move yet.”

That made her blush again. “I can move, at least a little.”

Sebastian retrieved the sheet for her, which Sakura eagerly took and covered herself once more.

It was then Toby appeared at the door. The loyal pup trotted into the room and came to the side of the bed, his tongue eagerly hanging out, begging for Sakura’s attention.

Sebastian chuckled. “You want to be by your master’s side, don’t you?”

Toby barked excitedly. Sebastian picked up the dog and placed him on Sakura’s lap. “Rest a bit more.”

She nodded, and the two men left her—Darcy to draw her a bath and Sebastian to cook their lunch.

As she lay there stroking Toby’s soft, furry back, Sakura smiled, thinking how fast time had moved since the two men had confessed their love for her, six months back, in Hawaii. Now, they’d just moved into their newly built waterfront villa on St. Joseph Island, across the road from Princeton Mansion.

This master bedroom on the second floor, which the trio used mainly for doing sexy things, was spacious and beautiful. It also had an exquisite view of St. Helena Beach. Up on the third floor were Sakura’s personal bedroom and attached sitting room, which she used for entertaining her friends, as well as her studio, where she worked on her paintings and photographs.

Across the hallway from her room were two more bedrooms; one was Sebastian’s and the other Darcy’s. They each also had their own attached studios, where they operated their respective, thriving companies remotely, whenever they happened to stay on St. Joseph Island. Meanwhile, on the ground floor was the kitchen and living room as well as three spare guest rooms, a large gym complete with every fitness equipment imaginable, and an indoor swimming pool, which so far, since they had moved in, both Sebastian and Darcy had used almost every day. They even had swimming races, and of course, the winner got to kiss her, as per usual.

It was ten minutes later when Darcy returned to announce the bath was ready. After she made Toby get off her lap, Sakura got up from the bed, taking the sheet with her and wrapping it around her naked body for decency’s sake. As she slowly headed toward the bathroom, she internally groaned at the aches and pains in her body.

Darcy came rushing, and before she knew it, she found herself in his arms.

“Oh,” she said in surprise, smiling. “Thanks.”

“No problem,” he said, making his way toward the bathroom next door, Toby following closely behind.

Once they were inside, he put her down and asked, “Need help getting in?”

Sakura shook her head. “I’m good.”

Darcy nodded and then left her a moment after.

As she got herself into the tub, Sakura didn’t miss the fact that Darcy had also added some cherry blossom-scented oil into the water, which was, of course, her favorite. How considerate of him, she thought with a smile.

She lay back, loving the smell and the hot water against her skin. Then she closed her eyes as Toby made himself comfortable by the tub, waiting for her to finish.

As she enjoyed her time soaking, she remembered once again the day both Sebastian and Darcy had confessed their feelings for her and, of course, the announcement of their official relationship to their family and friends. Of course, Sakura still couldn’t believe everyone had been so understanding, accepting the trio’s unconventional relationship.

Akira, Mary, and Katherine had congratulated her and told her she had made the right choice. Of course, her parents—all four of them—Beth included, were over the moon for her. James even hinted at a wedding and babies, which once again made Sakura chuckle in amusement.

Tristan and Logan, to her surprise, were a little upset that she hadn’t chosen them. They outrageously reminded her that they could have taken Sebastian’s and Darcy’s places. Of course, she knew they were teasing her when they both chuckled at her reaction and then congratulated her and gave her hugs, along with Nicolas, Hayden, and Conrad.

It was half an hour later when Sakura decided to get out of the tub and rinse herself in the shower. Once done, she put on her underwear and then a pair of skinny jeans and a white sweater, since it was rather cold, as it was the beginning of winter.

Once she had put on some makeup, she turned her attention to Toby and asked, “Shall we go down?”

Toby barked in agreement, and a moment later, the two headed out the door.

Along the stairs, Sakura heard Tristan’s voice and had no doubt that the other brothers were here again, probably having lunch with her and Sebastian and Darcy.

She found out she was right when she entered the open-plan kitchen and dining room. She saw Nicolas making sandwiches, Conrad helping him. Sebastian and Darcy were setting the table, while Hayden was stirring the pot, probably cooking some sort of soup. Meanwhile, both Tristan and Logan were getting out glasses. She guessed these brothers couldn’t stay away from her, after all, even when she had moved out of the main house with Sebastian and Darcy.

“Hello, everyone.”

At the sound of her voice, the brothers turned their attention to her.

“Sakura, darling,” Tristan said. “Hungry?”

She nodded as she came into the room. Suddenly, something caught her off guard, and her eyes widened in shock. Her stomach started churning, and she felt like throwing up.

God, that smell! Why was it so horrible? And her head felt dizzy, too.

She pulled her face and said weakly, “What’s in the pot, Hayden? The smell is making me sick.” Suddenly, she couldn’t handle it and rushed out the door.

Sebastian and Darcy looked at each other, and both men chased after her.

Logan asked Hayden, “It’s Beth’s chicken soup, right?”

Hayden nodded. “She likes Beth’s chicken soup.”

Conrad agreed. “She does, and I do as well.”

In the bathroom, Sebastian and Darcy came to find Sakura sitting in front of the toilet, clutching her stomach.

Sebastian came to kneel behind her and asked, as he embraced her, “What’s wrong? Are you sick?”

Sakura raised her head, tears in her eyes. “I don’t know. I just suddenly feel sick and want to throw up.”

Darcy frowned and asked, “You haven’t caught a fever, have you? Infection?”

Sakura shook her head. “Not that I know of.”

Sebastian said, “Then we should make an appointment for you to see the doctor.”

Sakura nodded. “Okay.”

A few minutes later, she felt better, and the three returned to join the other brothers. Luckily, Hayden had already thrown away Beth’s chicken soup, as directed by Nicolas, and Sakura didn’t seem to be affected. During the meal, the brothers watched Sakura eat as if she had never eaten before.

Noticing them watching her, she said, “I did say I’m starving, didn’t I?”

“Good on you for having an appetite.” Nicolas handed her more sandwiches.

Sakura gladly took them, and Sebastian and Darcy looked at each other, grinning.

It was some time after lunch that the brothers and Sakura were in the lounge, having coffee. On the sofa, Sakura was reclining on Darcy, who was embracing her. Meanwhile, her legs were resting on Sebastian’s lap, who had a tablet in his hands, currently working on his real estate empire.

On the sofa across the room sat Nicolas and Hayden. On the floor near the coffee table was Conrad, playing with Toby. And in the two armchairs opposite each other were Tristan and Logan.

It was peaceful, and as Sakura watched the Princeton brothers before her, she felt blessed, happy, and content with her life, especially with her two beloved men, Sebastian and Darcy, by her side, loving her. God, she was one lucky girl indeed.

Suddenly, Nicolas said, “Dad’s dream is about to come true.”

At this, both Sebastian and Darcy looked at each other, while Sakura cocked her head to one side, wondering what Daddy James’s dream was.
