The Reunion by Leslie Johnson (7)

Seven

“Told you it would be fun.” Archer boasts as we get off the roller coaster.

“Yes, smartass. What next?” I’m getting swept up in the excitement.

The sun’s starting to go down and the night is starting to cool. The lights are flashing and everything takes on a magical quality. Or maybe the magic is coming from being with Archer and not having a care in the world except if we have enough tickets to get on the next ride.

We ride every ride screaming along with the passengers. My stomach muscles ache and I feel fantastic.

“Do you have one more in you?” Archer asks his arm now wrapped around my shoulder.

I’m snuggly next to his side the frog under his other arm.

This is where you belong my heart whispers, but stop the line of thinking before it gets any further.

This is just a one-time thing to get him out of my system.

I have a job.

I have a life.

I have Maria.

But you don’t have Archer.

“Stop thinking. You’re letting go remember this is you letting go and having fun.” Archer breaks into my thoughts.

“Sorry,” I tell him.

“We need something to get your mind off what ever you’re thinking of. Perfect,” Archer says as he gets in line for the haunted house.

“If you get scared I’ll protect you.” I joke as we enter the darkness.

“Thank you,” Archer whispers in my ear. He puts his arms around me and walks behind me as we make it further into the ride.

A scream rips from me when a guy with a chainsaw jumps out in front of us.

“I’ve got you baby,” Archer says pulling me closer into him.

The ride melts away as the hard planes of his stomach hug my back. When we emerge from the stupid haunted house Archer spins me around and kisses me deeply.

“What was that for?” I ask when he pulls away.

“For protecting me in there. It was pretty sketchy.”

“Anytime.”

“I have another surprise for you. Will you come with me?” His face is serious and I swallow before nodding.

It was the right answer because the smile Archer graces me with knocks my breath away. He’s gorgeous.

We climb in his truck and drive into the night. I smile when he turns down a familiar dirt rode. The lake was one of my favorite spots to hang out at when I was younger. Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money and the lake was free entertainment. It was also where Archer and I made love for the first time after prom.

“Archer.” I exhale when I see the picnic laid out at our old spot.

“When did you have time to set this up?”

“I have my ways. Come on.”

Archer leads me to the plaid blanket and starts taking out the food from the basket. It’s all my favorites from the local restaurants we used to eat at. He thought of everything.

The moon spills out over us as we eat with the soft sound of jazz pouring from his phone. It is perfect. He is perfect.

No, I tell myself. He isn’t stable. All I’ve ever wanted was stability. Growing up poor and not knowing what was going to happen made me realize what was important and I needed to remember that.

“I had fun today,” I tell him wanting him to know how much I appreciated what he did for me.

Getting away from the stress of my job and going back to the simple was a nice change. It would be something I would think about on the lonely nights in my apartment. I also promise myself I would make more time for me to get out and have fun.

Maria was always begging me to get out and do things for myself and it was time I took her advice. Archer showed me that today.

“I’m glad. It isn’t so bad here is it?”

“Please don’t,” I plead. “Today was perfect. Don’t ruin it.”

“We need to talk, baby.”

Panic takes over and I do the only thing I can think of to get him to shut up. I launch myself onto his lap and kiss him with urgency.

He resists for a fraction of a second before he loses himself into my passion. His lips are unyielding as they ravage mine.

All my frustration pours out of me. He erases my thoughts when his hand snakes up my shirt and unsnaps my bra.

With familiarity he flicks his thumbs over my nipples and I moan into the night. My hands work his shirt as he drives me crazy sucking on my neck.

“Take your shirt off.” I grind out when I can’t get it past his arms.

Archer chuckles and shrugs off his shirt. I’m stunned again at the muscles he gets to wear everyday.

He stretches out on the blanket and pulls me with him. I hold my breath as his fingers brush over my stomach pushing my shirt up as he goes. Arching my back he pulls it off and feasts on the skin he just revealed.

My fingers tug on his hair when he finds my nipple and sucks it into his mouth. I squeeze my legs together as the ache starts to build.

Archer rolls over so he is hovering over me the moon casting shadows across his face. He plants his knee in between my thighs and I shamelessly grind against it. He has made me lose all sense and I’m falling further into him.

Archer’s hand reaches down and pops the button of my jeans, pulling them down and kissing every inch of my legs. I can’t stop my legs from shaking as he travels back up my body. He licks the inside of my thighs and I lock my legs around his head.

Archer uses his tongue and fingers to bring me close to an incredible orgasm. He pulls my legs apart and continues up my body until he reaches my lips. I kiss him deeply tasting myself on him in an erotic mixture created from our mutual passion.

I open my legs letting him in. At some point he removed his pants and I gasp when he nudges my entrance.

When he enters me I cry out at the perfection of it all. Archer stays where he is connecting us in the most basic way. He leans down and kisses me, his tongue entangling with mine.

I suck on it wanting to become one with him. He begins to move in and out in slow thrusts. My hips rock with him meeting every thrust with my own.

Archer groans as our passion feeds off one another. The night fades away into silence and only our mutual lust echoes in the air. It’s as if the universe doesn’t want to interrupt the perfection we are creating.

Archer grabs my legs and lifts them over his shoulders hitting a spot I never knew existed.

“Do you feel that? Do you feel how good we are together?”

I nod my head because I do. I feel everything and he refuses to let me ignore it. Archer’s focus is on me as he begins to push harder and harder. I scream as my orgasm thrashes into me. My legs go weak but Archer keeps them where they were plowing into me until he reaches his orgasm.

I snuggle into him and Archer pulls the blanket around us.

“We need to talk,” he says bringing my head his chest.

I suck his nipple into my mouth not wanting to have reality crash into us just yet. Archer chuckles and pulls my head up kissing me softly.

“No more distractions. We need to talk,” he says not pulling away from my lips.

“I don’t want to.”

“Too bad. It can’t wait. There are things we need to discus.”
