Three Date Rule: A True Love Romance Novel by D.G. Whiskey (12)

~Madison~

“You’re mine,” I said as I shoved my shoulder lightly into his. “You can’t escape this.”

His kart was just in front of mine, and I had a star to use, the most potent weapon in the game. It would turn me invincible, make me go insanely fast, and if I touched him, he would spin out.

He didn’t stand a chance.

“I hope you like the idea of me tying you down naked on your back and torturing you for hours by barely touching your cock. Maybe I’ll sit on your face and make you eat me to twenty orgasms before I even consider fucking you. I’ll make you beg for it.”

The competitiveness of the game had brought back my confidence and my sass. I had been scared it would never come back, but coming home with Carter had been the right call. He’d eased me out of my funk in the perfect way.

And I would repay him by giving him a night he’ll never forget on our final date.

“You’re bluffing,” Carter said. “There’s no way you’d last that long without fucking me.”

I grinned. “Just went up to thirty orgasms, buster.”

Carter’s gulp was audible even over the sound of the game, and I giggled as I inched ever closer to his character. I was giddy over my impending victory.

I hit the button to release the star power up, and my kart leaped forward. Carter should have been taken out, but suddenly, he wasn’t there.

“Where’d you go?” I cried. Cursing, I fought to get my kart under control. I’d been so focused on hitting Carter that I’d overextended. With the extra speed from the star power, I slid off the track and into the wall, dumping all of my speed. “Shit!”

Carter laughed maniacally. “I swerved off onto a shortcut. You can’t catch me now.”

I peeked onto his half of the screen as I regained the track. He was right. Within a few seconds, he’d crossed the finish line.

“I can’t believe it,” I said, staring at the screen. “I had you.”

He dropped the controller and put his arm around me. “It’s not over until the fat lady sings. Now that I know how hard you were planning on teasing me, it’s only fair that I return the favor.”

As disappointed as I was to lose the game, the thought of Carter having his way with me sent sweet chills racing along my spine that made the hair on the back of my neck rise. Goosebumps popped up on my arms as I thought about how much power he’d have over me.

Why is it so hot when I think about Carter holding that power over me, but when I see Gary… No. Stop it. It’s because Gary’s a terrible person. Don’t let him poison your life by allowing him into your thoughts to ruin this.

“I’m all yours,” I said to Carter in the sultriest voice I had. He had that look in his eyes, the stormy fire that betrayed how worked up he was. He leaned toward me to kiss me, but I leaned back and put a finger on his lips. “Next time. Remember, today isn’t a date, which means we aren’t allowed to fool around. As soon as we cross second base, it’s officially the third date. Do you want that right now?”

Carter growled, and the sound sent a shock through my body. He was so cultured and refined most of the time, but his primal nature leaked through whenever he wanted me, and it turned me on so much every single time.

“I do want that,” he said. “I want that very much. I can’t wait to see how hot and wet your pussy feels when it’s wrapped around my cock. I can’t wait to feel how tight you get when I make you come while I’m buried inside you.”

Every word stoked the fire inside me, making me hotter and hotter as he built the image. It didn’t take long until I squirmed in my seat, suddenly aflame with desire and needing it just as badly as he did.

“I need to see your face as you reach your ecstasy,” Carter continued. “But not like this. If I only get that once, then I want to do it right.”

I breathed heavily, flushed from the intense, low way he spoke. His eyes never left mine the entire time.

“That’s a good idea,” I agreed, although my body screamed disagreement. “It should be a spectacular night, and I want to be prepared for you, not wearing everyday underwear underneath work clothes, with hardly any makeup on.”

Carter shook his head. “I’m not worried about that. You look sexy as fuck.”

He knew exactly what to say to make me feel like the most wanted woman in the world. It wasn't an elegant statement, but it was honest, and that made it hotter than any number of fancy compliments.

I needed to cool off. This level of tension was dangerous. It felt like it could snap at any moment.

“Do you want to watch Netflix?” I asked. “Something funny and low commitment?”

He raised an eyebrow. “Funny and low commitment? Is that a hint?”

I blushed. I hadn’t even considered the parallel. “Honestly, I just need something to distract me and prevent me from jumping your bones right now.”

Even as I said it, I knew I was playing with fire. Carter’s eyes grew a touch darker, but he nodded.

“Do you want to stay for dinner? I can order something.”

Once more, I was at a crossroads. If I stayed, I risked crossing the line with Carter. Even if we didn’t, spending this much time hanging out with him seriously bent the rules. If I went home, I’d be stuck thinking about and obsessing over the meeting with Gary and driving myself deeper and deeper into my own mind.

“I’d love to,” I said.

Let’s hope this doesn’t backfire.
