Welcome to Wolf Creek (Alpha Lumberjacks Book 1) by M Andrews (4)

Chapter Eight

Easton

Laurie is wrapped around me, her head resting against my chest and my cock seated inside her. Her hips are gently rocking, even in her sleep she can’t get enough of me. Hell, I can’t get enough of her. I spent all night between her thick gorgeous thighs making her come with my hands, my tongue, and my cock. I was like a ravenous, possessive beast, marking her, and claiming every fucking inch of her. She’s mine now, and I’m never letting her go.

“Angel, it’s time to wake up,” I softly whisper and place a kiss on her forehead.

She groans and wraps herself tighter around me. “No, I don’t want to leave these arms or this bed,” she mumbles.

I roll her onto her back, and pull her fat, pink nipple between my teeth and thrust deep and hard into her warm, wet cunt. Her body arches off the bed and my name slips from her lips. I love that sound, it spikes my desire for her. Fuck it, we’re not leaving this room until I’ve fucked her raw. Every move she makes today will remind her of me, and how I made her mine.

“Easton, I’m coming,” she pants. Her greedy pussy clenches around my length and pulls me deeper. Thank fuck, she’s too damn good, I can’t hold on any longer. Three hard snaps of my hips has us both coming hard, and I fill her with my seed. Maybe I’ll get her pregnant, then she will be mine forever.

“Oh my God, these are the best eggnog pancakes I have ever had. Truth be told, I’ve never had them before. I didn’t even know they were a thing,” Laurie says, licking her fork clean. Even watching her eat is sexy as fuck.

We made it out of bed just in time to catch the tail end of the breakfast rush at my family’s café in town. Neither one of us wanted to leave that room, but I needed to get some food in Laurie before we headed to my cabin for the rest of the day. I know once she’s in my place we won’t be leaving until spring.

“My Aunt May makes the best in town. Want some more?” I ask waving down the waitress.

“Yes and yes.” Her face beams with excitement. “I worked up quite the appetite last night.” She winks.

“I better order you two plates, you’ll need your energy for what I have planned for you later.”

“Who knew getting stranded in a strange town could be so delicious and dirty.” She giggles from behind her coffee cup. “I know we are a little past this at this point, but I should get to know the man I’m sleeping with.”

“I’m an open book, Laurie. I will tell you anything you want to know.”

She relaxes back in her chair. “I want to know it all. Every detail.” She smiles.

“I will skip past the part about being born here, I’m sure my mother filled you in on that. I graduated from the University of Washington. I’ve slept with ten women.”

“Okay, maybe I don’t need all the details.” She frowns, and I think I can see a spark of jealousy in her eyes. Don’t worry angel, my heart and my dick are all yours. Laurie hangs on my every word as I tell her about my early days at the mill with my brothers sweeping up sawdust and wood chips, and cleaning toilets until we were old enough to join the cutting crews.

“Do you miss running your own crew?” she asks, taking a bite of her pancakes.

“I miss everything about it. The feel of the ax in my hands, the sound of the trees cracking as they come down, being out in nature with the smell of pine instead of the stale air in my father’s office. Shuffling decades of paper was not how I envisioned my life,” I admit. I knew the day would come when I would have to take the reins, I just didn’t think it would be this early in my career.

“Why don’t you hire an office manager? Someone to handle the day to day stuff. It would take the load off, and you could go back to doing what you really love,” she suggests.

“I never thought of doing that. My father, and my grandfather before him, did all the work themselves. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot. You’re quite the genius, Laurie,” I say and stand up from my chair to move around to sit next to her on the booth side. Being across the table from her is too far away. She slides easily under my arm, and I kiss her temple. “Enough about me, I want to know everything about my Angel.”

“I grew up in Hartford Connecticut. I’m an only child. My father is a retired investment banker and my mom is the fundraising queen. I got married to my now ex-husband when I was eighteen. The first few years we were married everything was perfect, or at least I thought so. William was going to school to become a lawyer. I worked three jobs to help put him through law school and keep a roof over our heads. I believed in him, and he told me that once he graduated and got established in a firm, we could start a family, and I could move forward in my dream of opening a book store and a café.” She pauses and lets out a sad sigh. “William graduated and we moved to LA for his job, that’s when he changed. It was no longer about us, it became all about him. The money we were going to use to put down on a location for my bookstore was now being used to buy him new expensive suits, and a new Audi R8. He was all about status and appearance. There was no more talk about starting a family, and then came the snide comments about my weight. But the big kicker came the night he asked me to meet him for dinner. Waiting for me at the table were divorce papers. The coward couldn’t do it in private because he didn’t want me to make a scene. He obviously never really knew me at all, because by the time I finished venting my anger, the entire restaurant knew what a dick he was. I sacrificed everything for that man, and he left me broken and used. That’s my pathetic, sad life.”

“The only thing sad and pathetic about your story is your asshole ex-husband. Any man who is lucky enough to have you should drop to his fucking knees and thank God, every single day. I’ve barely spent twenty-four hours with you, and I can already see how utterly amazing you are.” I want fly to LA and take my ax to his precious car for the way he treated Laurie. One of the many lessons my father taught my brothers and me was that you do anything and everything to make your woman happy. You treat her like a queen, because in the end, the queen will always protect her king.

“You’ve spent your entire life taking care of everyone else. You sacrificed everything to make your ex’s dream come true, but who was taking care of you? Who was making the big sacrifices to make all your dreams come true? Let me be that for you, Laurie. Let me take care of you. Let me make your dreams come true. Unlike William, I am a man who keeps his promises. I will give you as many babies as you want, and I will build you your bookstore. I will do anything to make you happy, because you are mine.”

Laurie climbs into my lap and rains kiss down my face. “Stay here with me, Laurie. We belong together. I felt it the moment I saw you, and I know you felt it too. Say yes.”

“Yes,” she says repeatedly between kisses.

“Mine, all fucking mine,” I groan against her lips. “We have to get out of here. I need to be inside you.”
