Alpha's Redemption: An MM Mpreg Romance (Northern Pines Den Book 5) by Susi Hawke (10)

Drew

Saying good-bye to all my friends was hard. Harder than I’d expected it to be. I’d even teared a little when Alpha Mikael and Taylor had stopped in to say their farewells. I would miss my community, but I was excited to go to my mate’s homeland at last. My only regret was that I hadn’t been able to say goodbye to Dylan in person.

My stupid sister kept him busy and on a short leash. Liam promised that he would keep his eye on his cousin and watch for signs of neglect.

My sister wasn’t an alpha-bitch, she was just heavy handed and traditional in her ways like our alpha father had been. Dylan seemed fine with it though, and was pregnant with his own cub now. Hector promised that we would visit. In the meantime, I would write, call, and text. I wasn’t going to let my friend lose himself in his relationship like my parents had.

I smiled as I remembered our weekend with the wolves. They were a fun community. I had a little surprise tucked away in my bag for Hector. I was saving it for a special treat. Aunt Kat had given it to me along with several other little novelty gadgets. The main gift was a set of handcuffs with a black satin blindfold and a leather paddle. The nipple clamps and flavored body paint were another thing I was saving for a rainy day.

After all of our good-byes, we’d had the exciting plane ride. The babies had handled it better than I’d expected them to and slept most of the flight while I’d watched the clouds out the window and done a mental happy dance to finally be traveling with my mate.

I leaned against Hector's arm as we drove through his village in his father's limo. Jules and Diego had accompanied us, along with their mates and all of our children. It wasn't very safe to be riding like this holding our cubs without human car seats, but I was pretty sure that nobody in this little village would bother with Hector or anyone in his party.

"Where are we going first?" I asked with a yawn.

Hector smiled at me, the joy of sharing his homeland with me evident in his eyes. "First, we are all going to my villa. If Diego's padre wants to come see his son and nephew, he will know where to find them. I doubt we will be there longer than an hour before my family begins to pour in. My parents especially will be eager to meet the new jaguar alpha cubs."

I rolled my eyes. "Is it such a big deal that they're alphas? Really?"

Hector smirked. "Only in that it means our family legacy continues to spread down to another generation. But above that, we jaguars are an endangered species. It's good that we have four new cubs right here counting Tony and then Jules' cub."

Jules smirked. "Yeah, the fact that I'm bring home a baby jag might be enough for Tio to forgive me. We'll see."

Diego tilted his chin up. "I do not care if padre is impressed with Tony. I would like for my brothers to met their nephew, though. He is such a perfect jaguar specimen, they will be nothing but proud to know that he is their kin."

Everyone grinned at the little jaguar omega while Stefan just pulled him over onto his lap, cub and all. "Come here, Kitten. Quit telling everyone how perfect our cub is, even if it's true. Their cubs are just as perfect as our Tony."

Diego looked around at us with wide eyes. "Of course they are! All babies are perfect! I never meant to imply that by taking pride in my own little one. I assumed that you all did the same."

After we all laughed, Sean pulled out his phone and scooted over to Diego. "Hey, have you seen the pics of our triplets when they were brand new? Check this out, I have a few dozen that you’ll love."

Colin said, “And did we tell you soon the trips sat up for the first time? I’m pretty sure they’re baby geniuses, not that I’m biased.”

Jules leaned in and patted his little primo on the head. “When Sean’s done showing you his gallery, let me know, I have a lot of shots that he didn’t get.”

Hector and I grinned at each other as we watched the triad of mates rib Diego and give him a taste of his own medicine. It was funny, it was sweet, it was… family. My heart swelled as I looked around me and realized for the first time that this was what it felt like to have all your dreams come true. I snuggled up to Hector, cuddling Peter and smiling at Kent, who was in his Daddy’s strong, sure hold. I couldn’t wait to see what the future held for us.

I had my big cat daddy mate who adored me, our precious little twins, and a new group of friends that were filling in the missing spots of my family mosaic. I had even traveled thousands of miles to another country! And my mate would be taking me around the world in the future. The lonely little bear stuck in his small town rut was no more. Now I had everything that I'd ever wanted and I knew what happy felt like… it felt like everything I’d ever dreamed it would.
