Balls: A Second Chance Sports Romance by Lolita Lane (1)

Chapter One

We burst through the doors of the school, laughing. Together, we had enough of the festivities. The high school prom, we decided, was actually kind of overrated.

Then again, with what I was planning to do, maybe I personally was speaking too soon.

"That was so cheesy I think I was going to puke," my date for the evening said. He was tall, muscular, handsome as an angel, and he was undoubtedly mine. After four years, you're pretty damn sure you've found the one.

I walked by his side, our hands locked together. "It made those kids day, Bruce."

"I know, but that was after school special sickening."

"Marvin and Gertie aren't going to get a lot of chances to feel special you know. Besides, everyone just expected us to win. A good plot twist is underrated."

He stopped, and pulled me into his arms, his firm grip resting on my hips. On top of it all, he looked so dashing in his tuxedo. "I guess you'll just have to be queen to me and me alone."

"The pageantry is overblown anyway."

"Still going to treat you like a queen though." He leaned in, and shared another kiss with me. We'd been together for so long yet I still wasn't sick of our kissing, and the sparks still flew in my head as we met. Every single touch of my body, every single time I touched him back, it was still magical.

The way my heart kept beating through it all, it reminded me how blessed I was. I heard about people going their whole life without running into someone they could really call their soulmate. Me? I found him. I was only eighteen-years-old, but I found the man who I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

"Ah, there is our chariot, my queen," he said, mockingly, pointing out to the road. A limousine pulled up to the curb.

"You didn't." My eyes went wide seeing it. "You sprung for a goddamn limousine. "

"It's for you. You deserve the entire world, Noelle. I'm going to do my damnedest to make sure you get every single thing I can give you."

"You really didn't have to."

"Well I did, and it's here." He walked over to the door and opened it for me. "Madam, please join me." His tone was mocking, and I could do was giggle in return.

I climbed in. It was super posh inside. There was champagne bars and everything else. He slid in beside me, and I realized I had a drug more powerful than booze could ever be. Tonight was definitely the night.

High school sweethearts. Ever since we ran into each other in freshmen year, Bruce and I have been inseparable. We held each other when we were both awkward kids, and kept one another close even as we matured into adults. I couldn't imagine my life without him by my side, and at this point, I felt a little silly holding out on him.

"Driver, take the scenic route. I want the lovely Noelle to enjoy her trip back home."

I blushed, his hands resting on my lap. Sure, we had been intimate. Mouths, fingers, hands going places that made me blush just thinking about it. The only thing we didn't do though, was the most basic of all ways of expressing one's love.

Ever since I started having feelings about boys, I put my virginity on a pedestal. I knew it was going to be a big moment in my life, and it would be something that I would always remember. No one wants to remember some kid drunkenly climbing on top of you, thrusting twice, and maybe accidentally making you a teenage mother in the process.

So I was going to make sure the risk, no matter how minor, was completely worth it. I wanted it to be the best night of my life, and more than ever, I was sure I wanted it to be with the man right beside me.

Flustered, I leaned over and shared another deep kiss with him. I didn't exactly hint at my plans tonight. For his part, Bruce never pushed me. Despite four years seeming like an eternity compared to what our classmates talked about, he was perfectly fine with keeping our intimacy firmly where it was.

I smiled, feeling the arousal in me grow more intense, knowing what was going to happen.

The ride was wonderful, cuddling with him, seeing the city pass us by. Maybe it was a bit of a waste of his money, since I think I would have been just as happy sitting on a couch doing this, but soon enough, we reached my home. The moment of truth was drawing near. I reached for the door, but I was dating a gentleman. He opened his door, slid over the trunk, and got my door for me before I could do it myself.

I laughed. "Extreme chivalry is your new sport, huh?"

"Well I'm not going to get into a division one school for football, so may as well look into new options."

I took his hand, and stood up. I took a few steps toward my home, and he was still watching me, holding the limo's door. He wanted to make sure I got in safely before he climbed back in and had the limo take him the rest of the way to his own home.

I had another idea though, but I had doubts whether I could go through with it.

Feeling my heart pound, I realized that I wanted this for sure. I wanted this so damn bad. I looked up at Bruce. "Aren't you going to come in with me?"

He raised an eyebrow. "It's late. I figured you'd be exhausted and wanted to go to bed."

I shook my head. "My parents are off meeting with my Uncles. I have the entire house to myself. I'd be awfully lonely in there without you to protect me." I smirked at him, hoping he would get the picture.

Bruce glanced at me with a strange look on his face. "Are you saying what I think you're saying, Noelle?"

I took a deep breath as I searched for my courage.

"I want you. Completely. You know..." I was looking for a way to put it subtly, but not so subtly that he would miss what I was offering. "For the first time."

He smiled. Mission accomplished. Bruce turned around and bent into the limo. I heard him shout something I couldn't understand at the limo driver before standing back up, closing the door, and watching the limo pull away. We wouldn't be needing it, after all. My bed was more comfortable than even the limo's backseat, and really, any backseat of a car, even a really fancy long one, was super low on my romantic places list.

Soon, Bruce was by my side, we were walking together toward my home.

Sure, he said us letting others win the Prom King and Queen awards was cliché. Really though, we were the ultimate cliché. High school sweethearts in the small town of Franklin, destined to go together to the same community college, destined to spend the rest of our life together.

Opening the door, I walked into my home as I listened for any sounds just in case my parents were still at home. They had left on their trip this morning, and I had played good girl for so long that they completely trusted leaving me alone for prom night.

The need inside me was so strong, that I didn't want to waste too much more time. I headed toward my room, and my love was right behind me, knowing that I was finally going to give him what I knew he was silently desiring for years.

I slipped off my heels, and then climbing onto my bed, I relaxed my legs a bit and shot Bruce my most seductive look. "You know what I want tonight, Bruce. I know its what you want tonight too."

A look of surprise clouded his face. "Are you sure you want this, Noelle? I'm fine with us just exchanging our normal sort of play. The last thing I want is to rush you into something just because you want to please me."

"Bruce, are you trying to tell me you don't want to experience me fully? To have my tight pussy," I leaned forward and dragged a finger across his face seductively, "wrapped around your cock?"

"There's nothing I've been dreaming about more, Noelle. It's just, why now?"

"It's been four years. I've agonized over if I've been too much of a prude just because I want it to be special." I grabbed him by the tie. "We just had our senior prom, the last major event of our childhoods. We're adults now, Bruce. There's nothing I've ever been more certain of – I want you to make me a woman."

"You're the sluttiest virgin I know, Noelle," he said with a grin.

In a flash, he was on top of me, another sweet, wonderful, powerful kiss between us. I was pinned on my bed, his hand caressing my flesh, and going down over my dress. I wanted nothing more than for him to rip it off my body, but I knew this was a rental and I couldn't exactly afford to replace it. So instead, I reached behind myself, clawing for the zipper. Bruce laughed, and grabbed it for me, helping me unzip it, and I wiggled it off my body, letting it slink to the floor. He looked up and down my body, with that same adoring grin he always wore. "Definitely the sluttiest virgin."

I didn't care he was teasing me, I just wanted him. I wanted his flesh against my own, and I yanked that childish clip on tie off his neck, and then grabbed the collar of his shirt to bring him in for another kiss as I undid button after button, ripping it open to reveal his firm, toned chest. It was mine. Mine to touch, to caress, to kiss, to love. Mine to enjoy. He ran his hand down my body, finding his way to my bra, unhooking it, pushing me back down on the bed.
