Casual Sext: A Bad Boy Contemporary Romance by Lisa Lace (49)

Edward

Watching Mia’s naked body in the shadows of the street lights below was the perfect fire, igniting the simmering arousal Edward began to experience the moment she walked into his office. He knew he wasn’t going to get any work done with her fucking teasing the hell out of him, so he turned it into a delicious game. He’d had a hard time keeping control, and he had to laugh as he watched her half-naked body squirm as he punched the keys mindlessly for as long as he did. He even videotaped some of it for his own private pleasure later. He made sure to delete the garbage he’d typed on his computer after he decided to end her torture.

Now, here she was, bound and naked in front of him, ready to do whatever he wanted her to do. Watching her breasts rise and fall so hard made his mouth water and his cock rock hard. He dropped his pants to the floor. He ran his hands over her curves and teased her until he couldn’t stand another minute himself. He picked her legs up, wrapped them around his waist, and thrust forward, pushing her open and filling her with his entirety.

He fucked her against the window, her ass pressed against the coldness. He concentrated on hitting her sweet spot and pleasuring her. Showing her that he had what it takes to make her explode. Her gasps and panting were more than he could take, and he found himself fucking her harder, pushing into her as his orgasm yanked him to the edge. He grunted and held himself deep as he came inside of her, holding himself there. He felt her muscles clench around him, her body jerking and then trembling as she came down from her orgasm. He pulled her wrists free and unbound her, still inside her. She encircled her arms around his neck and buried her head into the crook of his neck as he carried her back to the chair by the table.

He sat down and cradled her in his arms until she was ready to let go. He believed she would have stayed that way all night if his phone hadn’t interrupted them again. She picked her head up, and he pulled the tie from her eyes. He waited for her to say it was okay to go, but she didn’t. She said nothing. He felt her give herself to him that night, her everything, and he didn’t want to break their perfect moment for anything. His dedication to her was as important as her submission to him.

He stroked her hair and patterned his breathing to hers. He caressed her naked body curled up in his lap, memorizing every inch of her as his fingertips glided over her waist, her thighs, her shoulders.

He didn’t want the night to end, but eventually, it had to. When she climbed off him and stretched her muscles, he knew it was time. He felt like he was letting her go forever. He ached to grab her and pull her back to his body, but he didn’t. He watched her walk to the window, pick up their clothes, and walk back. She slid her body into her dress while he reassembled his attire.

“I would say thank you for dinner, but we hardly ate a thing.” He fastened his pants and chuckled.

“I was too hungry to eat.” She looked at him for the first time since they made love against the window. With a solemn sadness, she picked up the food and put it back into the bags she’d brought it in. She picked up her shoes and leaned toward him, kissing him on his cheek before walking barefoot toward the door.

“Mia?” He had a nervous feeling well up in his stomach. “I need to know that you’re okay.”

“Yes.” Her answer was barely audible, barely felt but he believed her. “I need a little time to let all of this sink in. If it is a big part of who I am, I have to adjust my mind to accept it as well as my body did. One thing.”

“What is it?”

“I would do anything for you.”

Her words struck him hard, but he completely understood. He wanted to run to her and pick her up. He wanted to tell her he was in love with her, but he forced himself to stay where he was. It was too much for her. She needed to process this revelation.

He watched her walk out the door before he sat back down and clenched the arms of the chair to keep himself from running after her.

Edward knew there was no point in trying to continue working. It was almost midnight, so he shut everything down, grabbed his phone and his case and left. Remembering the missed call, he answered the message and listened to Jack’s voice telling him to call him immediately. He didn’t sound happy, and that worried Edward.

He speed-dialed Jack, and the phone rang twice. “What the fuck took you so long?”

“Hello, Jack. It’s nice to talk to you too.”

“I just left there not an hour before I called you. You couldn’t be bothered?”

“I was busy. You knew that. What do you want?”

“I know what you are doing, playing one side against the other. It’s going to catch up with you, and someone is going to get real sore.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You can’t tell your little girlfriend you want to save her and her company and then turn around and tell me you are going through with the takeover.”

“I have it all under control. Will you relax?”

Edward had to buy time with Jack. He knew it was going to be impossible to persuade him to sign off on the deal, knowing all he was getting was a few measly shares of Mia’s company in the long run. But if he could slip the proper documents saving her company into the fake takeover documents, he might be able to get Jack to sign them. He’d destroy the takeover documents, and Jack would be out.

“You had better. I deserve this, Edward. I’m keeping my eyes on this. Don’t fuck me over!”

“I wouldn’t think of it, brother.” He hung up and left the office, pulling Mia’s name up on his phone.

I know I promised to give you time, but we need to talk. He set his phone down and started his car. A reply came back, and he picked it up.

Tonight? About what?

About your company. I just talked to my brother. It’s not good. I may need your help.

Where do you want me to meet you?

He sent her the name and address of a small bar, and within an hour, he was walking in. When his eyes met hers, his stomach formed a knot. He wanted to give her more time. He needed to. He also needed to be sure he could save her company. Jack was moving too fast, and Edward was losing time and hope.

“Thank you for meeting me so late.”

“Sure.” She slid a glass of wine toward him when he sat down. “I figured you might want this since we didn’t get a chance to drink any of it earlier.”

“I had a little.” He looked down at her breasts before searing his gaze into her eyes. Her cheeks blushed a lovely shade of pink. That took care of the knot in his stomach.

“What did you want to talk about?”

“Right to the point. I like that about you. Apparently, Jack will do anything he can to make sure your company ends up the way my father intended to be: sold off in pieces to the highest bidders.”

“That figures.”

“It’s going to be a real problem if I don’t get his cooperation.”

“He can be so pushy.” She looked up at him as soon as she said it.

“What?”

“I meant to say, he seems the type. Always pushing people around. He seems difficult to work with.”

“Yeah, he can be.” Edward thought her comment was odd, but he let it go. He kept the question in the back of his mind. “Mia, I want to help your company, but it needs more than my approval. I’m afraid Jack is going to create some problems.”

“I will help you out as best as I can, but first and foremost, I need to secure what is left of my company. We had a huge scare a few weeks ago, and somehow my entire record database was wiped clean from the network.”

“Really?” The knot in Edward’s stomach returned, accompanied by a large amount of guilt over what he’d done.

“Steven, myself and the entire staff worked hard to get it back. When we thought all was lost, somehow Steven was able to break in and get to the backup.”

“So, all is well once again?”

“So far, but I don’t want it to happen again. We were very fortunate to regain access. I know it will be a large investment, but we need a better security system.”

How could he sit across from her and lie to her face? I was the reason your company disappeared! But I’m the reason it was returned safely. My intentions were good. Your security is fine. Don’t waste the money.

How could he tell her the truth? “I can help you there. That’s what Donovan Technologies does. I can give you a hell of a deal, too. I know the boss.” He winked at her and smiled.

“No, Edward. I won’t do that. I don’t want favors, especially from your company. You think we have problems now? They would have a field day with us if they knew you were doing special favors for me. No, I’ll find another company, an equally reputable one. I have to do this on my own.”

Edward sat back and finished off his wine.
