Champagne Spiced Omega: an M/M Omegaverse Mpreg Romance (The Hollydale Omegas Book 4) by Susi Hawke (2)

Cecil

By the time we wove our way through the hotel and out to the parking lot, our ride was just pulling up. It was a bit of a risk to pick up an alpha at Tom's wedding, especially Tom's ex, but I couldn't resist the delicious temptation he offered.

The man was sin in a suit, no question about it. None of my friends were aware of my wild side. I'd just never had that whole nesting urge that so many omegas seemed to cultivate. No, I was just fine with an occasional hot night with an alpha who politely left before I awakened. There was no better feeling than to wake up from a refreshing sleep in one's own home with the satisfying soreness from a good fucking the night before, but not to have to deal with another person there to hog your space.

Not having to share my closets, make allowances for another person's dietary needs, argue over thermostat settings, or share my remote were just few of the benefits to being single. And if an alpha wasn't handy, there were always betas around who would do in a pinch. If the pickings were exceptionally slim, I had a full toybox that would handle my needs perfectly.

No. I did not need an alpha. All I needed tonight was to sink my teeth into that ripe alpha booty. The minute I'd seen his ass in that suit, taking him home had been the end goal. I'm the first to admit that I can be awkward as fuck. But get me naked and horizontal? That's where this boy shines.

"There's our ride," I said over my shoulder as Ian caught up to me. He had more friends here than I did, which made extricating himself a bit more strenuous than it had been for me. I walked over and opened the door, sliding in with Ian right behind me.

The driver took off as Ian asked, "I'm assuming we're going to your place?"

I shrugged. "Call me crazy to take a virtual stranger home with me, but you have an honest face. For a lawyer." I winked. "Besides, we have mutual friends that would notice if I went missing."

"Ah, but did any of them see you leave with me? That's where you went wrong, little omega."

The driver looked back at us with raised brows, but didn't say anything. Hmm. Good to know. He valued his tip and rating more than possibly saving my life. Stupid jerk. I turned my attention back to Ian.

"But how do you know that I didn't text a picture of your face to a friend and tell them that if I don't reach out by noon tomorrow to consider you the prime suspect in my disappearance?"

Ian leaned over and nipped at my ear. "Because if tonight is half as much fun as I think it will be, you may very well still be busy at noon tomorrow. Or sleeping. Either way, I don't see you wanting your fictitious friend to interrupt."

I laughed and leaned closer. His scent was nearly as delectable as his ass. I inhaled softly, savoring the citrus and amber smell that wafted from him. I must not have been as subtle as I thought, because he chuckled into my ear.

"Like the way I smell, do you? You don't smell so bad yourself. What is that, rose and chamomile?"

"Hmmph. Hard to say, big guy. It's not like I can smell myself, right? Stupid pheromones. I swear, it's all a trap designed by mother nature to make us all get goo-goo eyes and wind up with tiny humanoid sleep thieves."

"I guess I'm lucky that you have that aforementioned drawer for the doubling up then, hmm?"

I grinned up at him, but before I could say anything back, his lips caught mine. Oh, fuck. It was as if my world shifted on its axis the moment our lips touched. The heady mix of the nearly electric current flowing between us, his hot body, Greek sun god looks, funny yet intelligent sense of humor, and the ability to kiss the fuck out of me all combined to make me realize that I was screwed. Dammit. I should have known that an ex of Tom's would be the one alpha that I could see myself wanting to see again. And again. And probably again after that. And we hadn't even had sex yet!

The driver pulled up in front of my place a few minutes later, clearing his throat politely to get our attention. Reluctantly, I broke away from his kiss and looked around. Thanking the driver, I tapped my phone and completed the transaction before sliding out of the car after Ian. He stood there politely looking around at the front of my place and the surrounding neighborhood while he waited for me.

I closed the car door and looked at him with a grin. "Don't judge me by the neighbors. The area might look like it's right out of a sitcom, but for all I know it's a soap opera behind those closed doors."

Ian grinned and dropped an arm over my shoulders as we walked to my front door. "Trust me, toots. I do family law, remember? Odds are high on the soap opera factor, I guarantee it."

I snickered, thinking of the obnoxious soccer moms and perfect omega dads that roamed these streets by day. I usually kept to myself since I definitely didn't fit in with the Joneses around here. I got my door unlocked and stepped inside, holding it open for Ian long enough for him to enter before closing and locking it again. I turned to offer him a drink, but never got the words out.

Ian stepped into my space and lifted me up against the door. The eight or so inches that separated us in height disappeared when he held me up at face level. I grinned and wrapped my legs around his waist. Running my hands up to undo his tie, I looked up at him. "So I guess I don't need to offer you refreshments?"

"Unless the offer is thick, white, and creamy, I'll pass for now." His eyebrows wiggled as he dove in for another kiss. After that, it was on. Our clothes went flying in as we bounced off the different surfaces in my living room. I found myself pinned against the wall in the hallway a few dozen kisses later, our bare cocks grinding against each other as Ian held me up where he could ravage my neck with nips, licks, and sucking kisses.

"Fuck... the bedroom is the last door on the right if we want to make it to where the rubbers live." My words jolted him back to reality, and the alpha flipped me over his shoulder with a smack to my butt as he propelled us both to my room. I reached out and hit the hallway light on our way past the switch, which lightened a path to my bed.

Ian dropped me down on my bed and immediately crawled in after me, caging me with his body as he picked up his mission again to mark my neck with his kisses. "You know, I don't need to carry your love bites for the rest of the week. Seriously. Although it is turtleneck weather, I suppose. Nevermind, go ahead."

His head popped up with a smirk. "If you have the ability to think all that out, then I'm obviously losing my touch, toots. Now point me to the drawer. I've got something to prove now."

I practically chortled as I pointed to the nightstand on the left. Ian reached over me with a long arm and opened the drawer. He pulled out a big tube of lube and a handful of condoms, tossing them on the bed beside us.

I quirked my brow. "Either you plan to layer the fuck out of your magic wand, or you've decide it's going to be a long night."

"Magic wand?" He snorted. "Good one, now I really do need to look for that lightning bolt scar."

"Why don't you suit up instead, and I'll show you some lightning... spoiler alert? You need to have the rod grounded properly to feel it."

Ian groaned at my awkward puns, and ripped open a condom packet. While he dealt with that, I took off my glasses and set them on the stand. I blinked at the fuzzier version of Ian that hovered over me, but it was better to be half blind than to have my glasses wounded in action. An expensive lesson that I'd only needed to learn once.

Before I could ask how he wanted me, two strong hands were running up the backs of my bent thighs and pushing my legs forward. I gasped as his tongue licked across my ass, teasing the rim with insistent strokes of wet heat. Fuck yeah. He chuckled as I ground against his mouth, but buried his face in there and shoved his way in with a speared tongue.

Gripping my dick hard, I squeezed the base and willed myself not to come yet. Ian's head pulled back, and fingers took the place of his tongue as he quickly and expertly worked me open.

"Lift up, toots," Ian said a lifetime later with a tap to my hip. I lifted my ass and felt a pillow slide beneath me.

His fingers pulled out and I heard the snick of the lube opening, followed by the bottle farting out its goo. Everything was a blur past a foot from my face, so I was relying heavily on my sense of hearing at this point. In no time at all, I felt the lube bounce onto the bed beside me as Ian lined up with my hole. Pushing up on the back of my thighs again, Ian wedged my knees to my chest as he pushed the tip of his cock into my rim.

I couldn't help the decidedly unsexy grunt that came out as he pushed his pretty thick self into me, or the moan that came along with the pleasant yet burning stretch of him filling me. He leaned over my bent legs, pushing them out of the way as he came in for a kiss. I smiled when I could make out his features, reaching out for his shoulders to pull him closer.

As soon as my body relaxed into the kiss, his hands gripped my hips and he began to thrust. Digging my fingers into the hard muscled flesh of his back, all I could do was hang on as he took me on the ride of my life. His hips pumped a steady rhythm as I clutched his shoulders and rocked back against him with abandon. His intoxicating scent was driving me nuts. It intensified when he began to sweat, each stroke getting harder and faster as he did his best to pound me into the mattress.

He held me so closely that my dick found delicious friction against those washboard abs with each roll of his hips. I jerked forward, my body curling inward as my abs and ass clenched in unison when I began to come. Ian let out a strangled gasp and jerked forward with a red face. He drove in with one last thrust right as the heat of his own release spilled up inside me.

We lay like that for a few seconds, panting and gasping as our sweaty, cum soaked chests pressed together before Ian lifted and gave me a quick kiss before rolling off me and flopping to the side. He looked over at me with an easy grin. "That was fucking awesome," he panted.

"Or fucking awesomely?"

"That too," he gasped with a laugh. Ian lay there gazing at me for several minutes before he shook his head and rolled to his side to face me. His hand came up to stroke my sweat dampened curls off my face. "You're too much, toots. The only reason I can tell that you're still available is because you're not looking."

I rolled my eyes. "You've got that right. And ditto, by the way."

"Thanks? Hey, point me to your bathroom and I'll find something to help you clean up. I need to lose the condom anyway."

"Sure, or I could give a counter offer, counselor."

His eyes lit up. "Intriguing. Go on."

I grinned. "I have a large shower with several heads and a full length bench. Give me a minute to recover, and we can go for round two in there?"

"Offer accepted, but let’s stretch that minute out a bit. I'm still trying to breathe."

To my utter shame, I had to admit that I giggled like a fucking omega at that one.

* * *

At some point in the middle of the night, I woke up to an incessantly ringing phone. My house phone? Who the fuck would be calling that number? Shit. I hadn't given that number out in years. Pretty much since the day I got my first cell. I blinked groggily at the clock. 5:45 a.m. What the hell? Who called someone at that time of day anyway? I closed my eyes to drift back to sleep, vaguely aware of the warm body still occupying the space next to me.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"You might wanna answer that at some point. They're just going to keep calling," Ian groaned into his pillow beside me.

I jerked my head over as I realized all of a sudden that he was still here, and hadn't slipped off into the night. Surprisingly, it didn't bother me as much as I would have thought it would.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Hmmph. By the time I get out there, they'll have hung up. The only landline is an old phone in the kitchen that's still hanging on the wall in there from when my grandfather owned this place." I groaned as the strident ringing continued, and sat up. "I didn't even know the fucking thing still worked, to be honest. It's probably on autopay with my cable or some shit."

I stood and stretched as I walked toward the hallway, grumbling under my breath. "Seriously. Who the fuck calls landlines these days?"

Ian's chuckles followed me up the hall. The fact that it didn't make me want to kill him told me a lot about how I was already connecting to the alpha. I wasn't sure if I hated the idea, or merely found it humorous. I mean, the whole basis of our night together was that we weren't the types who stuck around. Yet he was still here, and I wasn't pissed. The next thing I knew I'd probably be cooking the smug bastard breakfast. Right. Wait. Am I out of bacon?

Right as I grabbed for the phone, it stopped ringing. I dropped my chin to my chest and groaned.

"Don't sweat it, toots. Count to thirty, and it will ring again. It's been doing it for the past twenty minutes."

I turned and looked at him like he'd grown a third head. "And you laid there with that shit going off? Are you crazy?"

Ian shrugged, stretching his arms over his head, his nude body on full display. "You were conked out and I wasn't going to help myself to your phone. There are limits to hospitality, even I know that much."

"In that case, why don't you help yourself to the hospitality of my Keurig? The pods are next to the machine. Anything with caffeine will buy me as your love slave."

He crossed the room to do as I suggested, swatting my butt on the way by. "Toots? If last night didn't already enslave you to my cock, then I'm at a loss."

I jumped when the phone's loud ring went right next to my ear. Rubbing the side of my head, I grabbed the phone and held it to my good ear.

"Townsend residence, you've got Cecil."

"Mr. Townsend? This is Leticia Browne. I'm a social worker handling the case of the Milton child."

"The what child? I'm sorry, ma'am. I'm not really awake, but did you say social worker?"

"Yes, dear. I'm over at the hospital. You are acquainted with a Mr. Bruce Milton, are you not?"

"Brewski? Yeah, he was my college roommate. Is he okay?" My brain was racing, trying to figure out what the fuck was happening right now.

"I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Mr. Townsend, but your friend passed away last night."

I stretched the mile long cord of the antique phone across the room and plopped down heavily at the table. "What do you mean he passed away? I don't understand, and why does this involve a social worker?"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Townsend. Please let me clarify. Mr. Milton has you listed as his son's godfather and guardian of his newborn son."

"N-newborn s-son?" I looked around frantically as Ian came over and set a cup of coffee in front of me. He took a seat with his own cup, pointing between the phone and himself to let me know he would talk if I needed his legal help. I smiled, suddenly feeling much calmer just having him here.

"Yes, sir. Joshua Andrew was born two days ago. His father had been expected to survive despite his condition, but these things unfortunately occur."

"His condition? I'm sorry, ma'am. I have no idea what you're referring to right now. I'm at a loss here, quite frankly."

"Mr. Milton was beaten within an inch of his life by his boyfriend, despite being a full term pregnancy. The alpha in question is missing,"

"I see. And what is it that you need from me, Ms. Browne?" I asked politely, still clueless what the fuck was happening here.

"The hospital needs you to come pick up the child, sir. Legally speaking, you are his guardian and have the rights and responsibility for him." Her voice turned wary. "Unless you've changed your mind and wish him to become a ward of the state?"

There was no mind to be changed, since I'd had no earthly idea of this bullshit, but I wasn't about to say that. Brewski had trusted his whelp to me, and I would do what I needed to do. That was that. "No, ma'am. Forgive me, as I said before, I'm still half awake. I need to pick up a few things before I can get there. What time shall I plan to come get the child?"

"Anytime, really. But why don't I plan to meet you here at 8:00?" She sounded more cheerful now that I'd agreed. Shit. I guess so.

"That will be fine, ma'am. I will see you then." I stood and walked across the room on trembling legs. After I hung up the phone, I stood there banging my head lightly against the wall.

I felt Ian's strong hands land on my shoulders as he turned me into his chest. "Who died and made you a pseudo-daddy, toots? And more importantly, how can I help?"
