Champagne Spiced Omega: an M/M Omegaverse Mpreg Romance (The Hollydale Omegas Book 4) by Susi Hawke (12)

Cecil

I looked around the packed chambers at our hodgepodge of found family with a proud smile. Luke was taking photos for us while our family of friends stood around the back of the room with big smiles all around.

Tom and Colin were there with all three of their children, Milo and Rafe were there with their two, Liam and Christian were there with their family that included their brother, Kent, and Ian’s buddy Grazer had even come for our big day.

Judge Abrams smiled patiently. "Which are we doing first, gentlemen?"

Cecil spoke before I could. "First the wedding, then the adoption so that Joshua joins us both when we're already married." He turned and looked at our friends. Liam and Tom darted forward to take the bundles from our arms. Josh was harder to hold onto now that he was a year old and trying to walk already. Three month old Bruce was easier to cuddle. Once they stepped back with our sons, we faced each other and joined hands.

I smiled up at Ian, so handsome in his pearl gray suit and ivory shirt. The thin gray tie was a nice touch. The man was a fashion plate, there was no denying it. I felt pretty natty myself in my slim cut steel gray suit with my ivory shirt and bright red bow tie.

"Alright, gentlemen. We're here today in front of your gathered friends and family to join you two in holy matrimony. Does anyone have a problem with this marriage happening?" The judge raised a brow and looked around. Satisfied at the lack of dissent, he nodded. "I thought not. I'm going to get right into this then. As soon as you say your vow, slip that ring right on. Okay? Here we go. Ian. Do you promise to love, honor, and respect Cecil as your husband and omega, for as long as you both shall live?"

Ian nodded. "I do, your honor. I promise to love Cecil for the rest of this life and whatever comes next. He's my best friend, my omega, and the one warm body that I don't mind sharing a bed with every night."

I ignored Tom's giggle as I held out my hand for the ring that Ian was holding. He slid it on and lifted my hand to kiss it with a loving smile.

"Alright then. Cecil. Do you promise to love, honor, and respect Ian as your husband and alpha, for as long as you both shall live?" The judge smiled at me as he spoke.

"I do, your honor. I promise to love Ian for the rest of this life and whatever come next as well. He's my friend and my alpha. And I'd better be the one warm body he doesn't mind sharing a bed with at night, or you'll be seeing me back here for very different reasons."

Ian smirked and held out a hand for his ring. I slid it on and lifted his hand to kiss the back of his ring clad knuckles as he'd done with mine.

"By the power vested in me by the voters of this county, I pronounce you two husbands. And Ian, you'd better mind your omega's warning, because I heard nothing if I'm ever called to witness at your murder trial. Now you two hurry up and kiss so we get that boy adopted."

Ian pulled me into his arms, stopping to rub our noses together as he whispered, "I love you, toots."

I put my arms around his neck and tilted my face; just before our lips touched, I responded. "I love you too, 90210."

Our friends applauded while we kissed. We only pulled away when the judge cleared his throat. He motioned for Joshua to be brought forward. Ian took Joshua and set him on his hip, while I took Bruce back and held him in the crook of my arm.

The judge pulled Joshua's adoption papers from a folder on his desk and smiled at our family indulgently. "You two have built a good family here, Ian and Cecil. I'm honored to be overseeing this today. Cecil. Do you promise to love this child as your own, to raise him, guide him, and help him grow into the man he's destined to become?"

I fought back the rush of tears that threatened to choke me as I nodded. "I do, your honor. Joshua is every bit as much my son as the one I gave birth to here."

The judge nodded and turned to my husband. "Ian, do you promise to love this child as your own, to raise him, guide him, and help him grow into the man he's destined to become?"

"I most assuredly do, your honor. Josh here stole my heart the second I met him last Christmas. He's every bit my son, just as much as Brucie there." I rolled my eyes at the nickname, but smiled at the sentiment.

The judge nodded and smiled indulgently at Joshua. "What do you think, young fella. Do you want these two to be your dads?"

Joshua clapped his hands and bounced against Ian's side as he screamed, "Dada! Dada!"

Everyone laughed and the judge slid the paperwork for both our marriage certificate and the adoption certificate over to where we could easily sign. He scrawled his name on both forms and passed me the pen. I winked at Ian, and bent over to sign my allegiance to the only two men in the world that could convince to embrace my omega side. Ian went next, taking care to scan each document before adding his own looping signature.

"Good enough, gentlemen! I'll have my clerk file these for you, and let you get on with whatever festivities you've got planned. Happy New Year, Montgomery family."

Those last two words were all it took for the waterworks to finally flow. I looked over at Ian with happy tears spilling down my cheeks. Joshua pointed at me and said in a worried voice, "Dada!"

I grinned and leaned over to smooch his chubby little cheek. "Dada is fine, baby. Let's get going, we've got a party to throw back at our place!"

Ian threw an arm over my shoulders as we walked out of the judge's chambers, surrounded by our friends. It was funny. I'd spent so many years preferring to be a single omega who didn't need anyone unless it was for a bit of fun on a Saturday night. Now here I was with a husband, two children, and a wide circle of friends who had somehow become our family.

I heard Tom asking Ian as we walked if he'd heard anything about when The Junior Dev would be up for trial, but Ian just laughed. "He took a plea deal. He's got thirty years with no parole."

Tom hissed. "Yeah, but what happens then? He'll be pushing sixty or something and have a fat bank account waiting to help him pick up where he left off."

"Nope. Not gonna happen," Ian said confidently. "Didn't you read the papers my office sent over to your house?"

"Sorry. I haven't had a chance what with Christmas, our anniversary, your wedding and adoption day... I was planning to read them tomorrow."

"Well, you'd better plan to get an investment advisor if you're not still using yours. Allie’s now a wealthy young lady. The Dev's estate was set up to split the estate between any found descendants, and if Junior was found guilty of any form of assault, he lost any claim he had to it. The estate is in the final stages of probate, and it's being split between Allie, Joshua, and the other child that was found during our search for other victims."

Tom giggled suddenly. "Wait. I just realized something, Ian! It's a good thing we're still friends, because our kids are half siblings! Oh, crap. That's fabulous."

I looked over at the stricken look on Ian's face, amused that the thought hadn't occurred to him. I'd thought of that little nugget almost right away. I just smiled over at Tom. "Hmmph. I guess it's a good thing we're all like family then, right?"

Tom clapped his hands gleefully. "Right? This is the best! We're going to be one big happy family. Although, I'm pretty sure that Allie doesn't need that money." Colin looked over from where he pushed the twin stroller and shook his head with a grin. Yeah, it was a good thing we were all friends.

Liam spoke up from behind us. "Just put the money in trust, guys. Maybe when the kids are of age, they'll decide to use it to found a charity to help people who have been victimized, had cancer, been orphaned, whatever. There are a lot of good causes that will be near and dear to their hearts, I'm sure."

I nodded thoughtfully. That was actually an excellent idea. As we made our way out of the courthouse, I happened to glance across the street to where a little park was set up with benches set out in intervals around the small duck pond.

I blinked when I realized that I was looking at Grampa and Brewski, sitting on a bench, side by side. I heard Ian's intake of breath, and knew that he saw them too. Grampa lifted two fingers to his brow in a salute, while Brewski blew a kiss in our direction. I turned and looked up at Ian, only to see him looking back at me with equal surprise and delight.

Ian leaned over and pressed a kiss to my temple. "Harold's acknowledging that I'm on duty now, and Brewski is blessing our adoption."

I nodded and looked back at the now empty bench. "Happy New Year, 90210. Let's go home and party, we have a lot to celebrate this year."

"You got it, toots. This is definitely going to be the best New Year ever, because we’re starting it as a family."

I reached over and took Ian’s free hand as we walked to our car, the two of us and our boys. One complete and happy family.
