Devotion (Club Destiny #7) by Nicole Edwards (31)

Chapter Thirty

Sierra wouldn’t lie, she was nervous as hell.

Tonight was the soft opening of their club and even after all the work they’d put into it, she still prayed there weren’t any substantial hiccups that would ruin what she hoped was the biggest night of their lives.

With the changes that Luke and Cole made, with Xander and Trent offering their input, she knew this place was going to be even bigger and better than Club Destiny. Although she’d only toured the fetish club once during operating hours, and she had enjoyed it, she knew they’d evolved significantly since Luke and Logan designed that club.

Stepping into the living room, Sierra caught sight of Luke and Cole standing on the back porch, both sipping beer as they stared out over the pool. She stopped in her tracks, taking a minute to admire them both. Her men were otherworldly attractive when they were dressed casually, but wearing tuxedos… Just wow.

Both men were tall, Luke a few inches taller than Cole, with long, lean bodies that were prone to make heads turn. She smiled to herself at the thought. They were hers and tonight, she intended to make sure everyone knew it too.

Aside from their public announcement of their relationship, the three of them didn’t flaunt their very untraditional lifestyle. Tonight she had the opportunity because of the venue and she fully intended to take advantage of it. After persuading Sam to help her, Sierra had managed to put a surprise in place that even Luke and Cole didn’t know about. Not an easy feat, mind you.

A low, seductive whistle caught Sierra’s attention, and she looked up to see that Luke had made his way inside while she was still staring at Cole through the large windows overlooking the acreage behind their house that seemed to flow for miles.

“Woman, I’m not sure I can let you out of the house in that,” Luke said warningly.

Sierra did a little spin in front of Luke and then took his outstretched hand when she turned to face him again. “You like it?”

“Stunning,” he whispered. “Then again, you’re always stunning.”

Sierra absolutely loved the dress she had found. It was a turquoise silk sheath with a cowl neckline, delicate beaded straps and a sweep train that flowed beautifully behind her when she walked. The color set off her eyes, and she’d known it was perfect for this event as soon as she slipped it on the very first time. Admittedly, Sierra didn’t dress up much these days, so she’d been looking forward to this night for some time now.

“Gorgeous.” Cole’s voice drifted her way when he moved into the house, shutting and locking the back door as he did, his eyes never leaving her.

“Thank you. I was thinking the same about the two of you.”

Her men could rock a tux like no other man in the world.

“Are you ready?” Luke asked, still holding her hand.

“As I’ll ever be.”

Sierra smiled at the two of them, another sudden surge of gargantuan butterflies taking off in her tummy. She prayed she could make it through this night.

Luckily she’d had the forethought to wear waterproof mascara.

Less than twenty minutes later, they were pulling up to the club in Sierra’s Escalade with Cole at the wheel. The vehicle came to a stop near the front doors, and Luke exited then opened her door and helped her out. The valet retrieved the keys from Cole and then he joined them. Standing between them, Sierra slipped one arm through one of each of theirs and then smiled up at them.

Showtime.

The club was already open, and as they walked toward the door, Sierra stopped to stare up at the sign that lit up the darkened sky against the mirrored glass, backlit by the white fiber optic lights. Beautiful. And the new name incorporated everything in one single word.

Sierra allowed Cole and Luke to lead her inside where they were greeted by two unusually large, extremely dangerous looking security officers who were employed, along with others, permanently with the club. Because there was no anonymity to go along with this club, they had to ensure the safety of their guests and members. They didn’t anticipate anything; however Luke wanted to be cautious. He said he wasn’t interested in putting his family at risk; therefore, he felt better with them there. She wasn’t going to disagree.

“Good evening,” Trent greeted them as they approached the main doors that would lead from the reception area to the club area.

“Trent.” Luke shook hands with Trent followed by Cole, but neither man let go of her arm, so Sierra settled for smiling up at him.

The intensity of Trent’s gray eyes sent a shiver down Sierra’s spine. It was no wonder the man was a sex symbol on the big screen, and being this close to him, she felt his physical presence down to her toes. She was still a little surprised by the fact that he was still unattached, although she had a feeling his involvement with the club might just change all of that. Then again, what did she know?

“You looked beautiful, Sierra,” Trent complimented her as their eyes met. Yes, he was in on her little secret. And even though she had no idea whether she could trust him or not, he’d never given her a reason not to, and she’d needed all the help she could get for what she was pulling off.

“Thank you,” she said shyly, feeling the way both Luke and Cole seemed to move in closer to her, as though they were ensuring Trent knew exactly whom she belonged to.

As if anyone ever questioned it.

“Enjoy your night,” Luke stated firmly as he continued toward the door, opening it and stepping back so that Sierra and Cole could enter before him.

Once inside, Sierra’s senses went on instant overload. What she’d seen yesterday during the bright light of the day looked so much more intimate at night. The entire space was blacked out from any outside light thanks to the electronic shutters that closed down over each of the windows. The lights were dimmed in the ceiling, but most of the entire space was lit red thanks to the lights that adorned each of the bars.

Right in the center were the oversized glass rooms, already occupied, although tonight the scenes were scripted to cater to the various guests that had been invited. Sierra noticed Mistress Serena in one of the rooms, and she remembered the scene she’d witnessed months ago at the club when Luke and Cole had taken the Walker brothers on a tour. Sierra found it fascinating how very normal Serena seemed in the daytime, although she still carried that air of dominance in everything she did. Quite frankly, Sierra liked the woman and there might be a small part of her that wished she could command her men as easily as Mistress Serena commanded everyone she came into contact with.

A waiter approached them, carrying a tray with several wine glasses perched on top. He held the tray out, and Sierra took one, but not surprisingly, both of her men passed. She’d learned early on in their relationship that Luke and Cole were not wine drinkers. Thankfully, they didn’t feel the need to pretend with her.

Luke leaned down close to her ear so that she could hear him over the music that echoed through the open space. “I need to take care of a couple of things.”

Sierra nodded her understanding before placing a kiss on his lips. Luke then leaned over to Cole, presumably whispering the same thing, and Sierra watched them closely. They may never be the kind to engage in public displays of affection on a routine basis, but if anyone were to watch them closely, they’d see that Luke and Cole portrayed their love for one another every time they made eye contact. The sight made her tummy flip excitedly. Still, to this very day, Sierra was easily turned on by watching these two men together. She was pretty sure she’d never get enough.

Sam came walking up at the same time Luke started walking away. The two of them stopped, shared a quick hug before continuing on their paths. When Sam approached, Cole leaned down and kissed Sierra on the neck and whispered that he’d see her in a bit. With a nod and a kiss, she sent him on his way and turned her attention to Sam.

“What do you think?” Sierra asked as the two of them stood side by side, wine glasses in hand and admired their surroundings.

“I think it’s phenomenal. There is a classy feel to this place that I love. Although it’s a playground for the wickedly taboo, it feels… normal.”

Sierra laughed.

Normal.

She wasn’t sure she even knew what normal was anymore. Considering the Domme currently wielding a whip while a naked man knelt at her feet inside a glass box stood just a few feet from her, Sierra was thinking they’d somehow come up with a new definition of normal.

“Have you seen Xander?” Sam asked, and Sierra turned to face her friend.

“Not yet, no. Is he here yet?”

“Supposed to be. He might be talking to Logan though.”

Sierra noticed how Sam didn’t make eye contact as she spoke which told her one thing. Her interest in Xander might very well be more than just platonic in nature.

It was clear, based on the conversations the two of them had shared that Sam and Logan were still interested in finding another third; however, they weren’t at all interested in having another person filter in and out of their lives. It’d started with Luke, Sierra knew, and then Tag. Both men had gone on to find permanent relationships, which wasn’t all that surprising; however, Sierra knew it had to be difficult on Sam. She wasn’t a promiscuous woman and her heart got involved a little each time, meaning when both of those men had moved on, she’d lost a little part of herself.

Sierra couldn’t even imagine what that must feel like. She knew intimately what it felt like to be with two men, what it meant to be in an untraditional relationship that had some significant sexual stigmas assigned to it, and she absolutely couldn’t fathom one of her men walking away and ever being replaced. Although, in that regard, she and Sam were different. Sam and Logan were immensely happy just the two of them, which Sierra respected. They simply liked to add a little spice to their lives.

Glancing back around at the club, Sierra realized this was just the place to allow that to happen.

Now, if she could muster up the nerve to do what she’d come to do tonight, she’d feel like she fit in just fine.
