Double Dirty Mafia Masters: An MFM Menage Romance by Olivia Harp (21)

CHAPTER 52

LEXIE

They were careful at first, but seeing that either they were too good at hiding or no one really gave a damn, they did it everywhere: their room (obviously), the elevator, pool, jacuzzi… she even sneaked a hand job —well… two, to be completely correct— in one of the bars. It was dark and loud and people were drunk so she took a chance.

They went snorkeling and did some activities but mostly just lay down on the beach and relaxed.

Her chest felt full. She loved them. Both of them. She loved how they looked at her and talked to her like an equal, how they trusted her completely and she could trust them too.

How they could talk for hours about silly things like the latest TV show or band they liked, or more serious things like business, or how they felt about the relationship they were in. They were happy and they adored her, that’s all that mattered.

A week later, they were back in New York. I still can’t believe they didn’t kick us out of the hotel.

She looked out the window on her apartment. She didn’t go to work today.

Not that she needed to, but she actually liked working with them, she liked keeping herself busy.

The business had grown much more rapidly than they could have imagined. She kept on working in a coffee shop, but after a few months it was obvious she needed her own space. A small office, at first. She was the person she’d always wanted to be. She could deal with anything and everything and when she couldn’t the boys were there for her.

But today, this problem was different.

It was late summer now and she was afraid, who knows why. It was almost the second anniversary since they met, the moment her whole life changed.

This time would be no different. She was nervous, even though she shouldn’t, she knew that in her heart, but still…

The boys opened the door to the apartment; she couldn’t hear what they were talking about.

She shivered. The way the city looked, it was breathtaking. Funny, the things you pay attention to when you’re on the verge of a mental breakdown.

“Honey?” Lucian said, closer.

She turned to him, Crow stood behind Lucian, both looking intently at her, worry in their faces.

“Is everything all right?” Lucian continued.

She faked a smile, “yes, why?”

“Crow asked how was your day twice, but you didn’t answer.”

“Oh, sorry,” she was so immersed in thought that she didn’t even hear him.

“I…”

“Something’s wrong,” Crow said.

“No,” she said with a fake smile.

“So?” Lucian said, walking over to her, Crow didn’t move, his eyes not leaving her, “What’s the matter?

She bit her lip. How could she say it? How on Earth would she begin to explain?

“They failed,” she blurted out.

Lucian looked back at Crow trying to understand. Crow met his eyes and shook his head, not getting it either.

“I mean,” she said, trying to explain, “you know, I…”

Fuck, why is it so hard? What are you afraid of?

She showed them. A white plastic stick with two small lines on a window.

“What is it?” Lucian said, taking it from her, not understanding what she meant.

She tried to speak but her voice began to break, “The birth control pills, they failed.”

Lucian looked at the pregnancy test, his eyes not really paying attention to what he saw, trying to process everything.

“You’re pregnant?” Crow asked, his voice beginning to rise with excitement, “Are you pregnant, baby?”

Lucian was taking it all in, his eyes going to her, then down to the pregnancy test in his hands, then opened his arms and jumped to embrace her before Crow could.

“You’re pregnant,” he whispered, the idea still sinking in, “oh my God, you’re pregant!”

Crow finally joined them in their hug, laughing out loud, the glint in his eyes betraying the fact that he was holding back tears.

The buildings around them began to light up, painting the windows in a multitude of soft colors.

“When did you find out?”

“Three days ago.”

“Three days?” Lucian asked, “Why didn’t you tell us?”

“I don’t know… I was scared.”

“Scared? Of us?”

Her voice broke, “I thought you’d be angry.”

“Honey, I love you,” Lucian said.

“You’re the best thing that ever happened to me,” Crow continued, “there’s nothing you could do that would make me angry, I love you.”

“We’re going to be a family,” Lucian said, “oh my God we’re gonna have a baby!”

He hugged her again.

“I began to suspect just after coming back from Miami, I was late but thought it was just stress. Then the puking began. Thought it was something I had on the plane. Then I just had to check.”

“Oh gosh! We need to make plans! There’s so much to do!”

“We need to find a doctor,” Crow said.

“And the baby’s room!”

“No man, we need to move to a bigger place, something close to a good school, and—”

“Guys…” she said, her heart still thumping in her chest.

“We’ll have to see about her job, maybe we could set up a home office—” She was still afraid, but they were so excited they didn’t hear her.

“Guys!”

“What?” they said in unison.

This was the question she feared they’d ask. And she was the one to ask it.

“Don’t you want to know who the father is?”

She saw them think about it. Their eyes fixed on her. She didn’t know who the father was, they’d have to get one of those DNA—

“Why, we’re the fathers, of course,” Lucian said, as if it was the simplest answer he’d ever been asked.

“You…?” she didn’t follow, what?

“We’re the fathers. It doesn’t matter which one of us, right?”

Crow shook his head, he didn’t mind.

“It’s our child. He deserves the best. He…” his voice broke. Then he smiled.

“It’s my son, and Lucian’s and yours, my love. It doesn’t matter who exactly is the father.

She began crying, opening her arms to them. They loved her… completely, absolutely adored her. They were starting a family, all three of them.

She was the luckiest woman in the world. Nothing could have made her happier.

The city, previously gray and uncaring, seemed to smile at her. The whole world turned brighter, more colorful. She wiped the tears in her face, she was laughing too. She felt like hugging these men for the rest of her life.

The two men who rescued her, who risked their lives time and time again for her, without expecting anything in return. Who killed for her. Who went through hell and back just to make her happy.

They were her men. Hers. And she was theirs. Forever.

This was true love.
