His Revenge: A Mafia Revenge Romance (Omerta Series Book 4) by Roxy Sinclaire (8)

Reassurance

Teagan

The party was boring, as expected.

Not that I minded the parties my dad threw, I just didn’t always enjoy them. There were rarely people my age present, and pretty much the same people kept coming, only they grew older and more boring each year.

Involving myself in the world of underground bikers hadn't helped me build up my tolerance. The party was the very definition of pompous, and I'd become pretty used to going out to a bar, or someone's place, and watching a bunch of idiots get drunk and make fools of themselves. I never cared to join in, but watching it was fun.

This party… was nowhere close. The rooms, all the ones we went to, were full of people, dressed to the nines in expensive, designer clothes with matching jewelry and accessories only owned by the rich, gliding around, haughtily holding up glasses of bubbly champagne and occasionally chatting with other people. I could even imagine the conversations, remembering them from all the previous parties.

Throwing veiled jabs at each other; trading boring stories; throwing around their wealth. The genuinely interesting conversations happened around my parents, particularly my dad, but I had never been allowed anywhere near them when we had guests.

Occasionally I would sneak into hearing range, listening to cryptic messages that made less sense the more I heard them until I came to learn the truth.

I wasn’t interested in it. Besides, I was too old to be sneaking around. I looked up at Ronan, saw him glancing around with a frown, looking a little distracted. I bit my lip, an idea coming to me.

I tugged at his arm to get him to look at me, seeing his expression clear almost immediately.

"What is it?"

"Do you want to get out of here?"

He blinked at me, then glanced around, frowning slightly. "Uh…"

"Neither one of us is enjoying this, right?"

"Well, I don’t know anyone here. You don’t see anyone you want to talk to?"

I rolled my eyes. "Please. The youngest people here are a few of the trophy wives, most of them new faces. Anyone else is here more for my parents than for me."

I was fed up of wearing the dress. It was nice, but it was too tight, flowing like a wedding dress, and it felt like too much fabric weighing me down. I could hardly breathe in the dress, and if my posture was any less than perfectly straight, it felt suffocating.

Besides, I was desperate to get dirty again with Ronan. I couldn’t get enough of him, and even though we hadn't talked at length about our relationship, I wanted to jump him anytime we spent too much time together.

Ronan narrowed his eyes at me. "What exactly are you offering? We've been all over this place, and pretty much everywhere we go there are people."

I couldn’t even risk taking him to my room, guards walked around the upper floors where dad didn’t want people wandering, and it would be bad if one of them saw us.

"I'm suggesting that we sneak away from this party."

"Okay."

I was startled for a moment at his immediate agreement. His eyes were suddenly very focused, and I blinked at the sudden intense look directed at me, almost…

"Why are you so desperate to get away?"

Surely, it couldn’t have been that boring. Or maybe I was kidding myself thinking I was helping with his boredom. We really hadn't done much after getting away from my dad, just walked around, got some food and glasses of expensive champagne that neither of us really drank.

"I just hate wearing a tuxedo. I swear it's my first and my last time."

I rolled my eyes, feeling quiet relief spreading through me. At least it wasn’t me.

"Okay. My dad is watching us, so we must leave one-by-one. You should probably go first. I'll have to go around and say goodbye to some people, and my parents."

"I'm a little worried about the way your dad keeps staring at me," Ronan commented.

I glanced around, even though I knew he wasn’t in this room. "You don’t need to worry about that. My dad and I plan to talk. I will help get rid of all his fears, and underneath it all, my dad is just a little pussy cat. He loves me and will do anything to protect me."

He didn’t bother hiding his skepticism, and I just rolled my eyes again. I knew my dad could be intimidating. It was why I never had people over. Ronan didn’t know the half of it, and if I had my way, he never would.

"As long as you don’t break my heart, then we have nothing to worry about," I reassured him.

He just looked amused.

I hugged his arm to my chest before releasing him, giving him a last look as I left him behind.

I went around, mingling as I was usually expected to at these parties. I picked only the people that would report back to my parents if I didn’t talk to them. If I missed a few, my parents would have to live with it. I always imagined these parties were meant to be more intimate. My parents were having their anniversary, and it was turned into a party for their friends.

After talking to my parents, I made my way out. I would have wanted to go to my room to change first, but I needed to get out of there before someone sidetracked me. The dress and the shoes were uncomfortable, but I would live. Besides, I had a car. And my keys were in the handy little purse I'd been walking with all over the place.

Ronan was waiting for me at his apartment when I made it. I didn’t have clothes at his place, but when he opened the door, I immediately threw off my shoes and rushed through to his bedroom. I took in a deep breath once I had the zipper of the dress down. I pulled it off, not giving a thought to how delicate it was, and tossed it onto the bed to take care of later. I traded it for a large T-shirt and a pair of boxer shorts from Ronan's closet.

I left the room, to go find Ronan. It was a small apartment, I didn’t have to search far. He was seated on his couch, watching the TV and eating from a large pack of chips. I groaned as I eyed the bag, and he glanced up at me.

"I am so hungry."

"You could have eaten something before you came. I wouldn’t have minded waiting for you."

Right. He probably changed as soon as he got back, just like me, already dressed in cotton pants and a T-shirt.

I snorted. "In the dress, I was wearing? A few sips of champagne and I thought it would squeeze me to death if I dared to take more. I was ready for the party from before lunch so I haven't eaten anything since breakfast."

He held out his bag of chips. "Want to share?"

"I'm going to need something of more substance than that, but thanks. Do you mind if I use your kitchen?"

I was walking before hearing his reply, even though I knew he wouldn’t say no. He didn’t know how to cook, mostly surviving on take-out and frozen meals. He loved the few times I cooked for him. I would have done it every time I was over, but we usually got distracted.

Checking through his fridge and cabinets made me realize his supplies were low. I usually made him go grocery shopping with me and I couldn’t remember the last time we went. Aside from the popular instant meals, there wasn’t much to cook. I did find enough fresh food to cook something easy and light, enough for two people even with Ronan's appetite.

Arms sliding around me made me jump, and I almost cut myself where I was chopping veggies on a board on his kitchen counter.

"Ronan, you startled me."

He just hummed, his arms tugging me back into his body, ducking his head so he could plant a kiss on my neck. Followed by another one, and then more sliding down to my shoulder where the T-shirt had slipped off. I set down the knife, gripping the edge of the counter as I pushed back into him, feeling my breathing pick up.

Ronan took it as some cue, and I suppose it was. I went readily as he turned me around so he could kiss me, my lips parting as his tongue slipped into my mouth. I kissed him back, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck, shivering as his hands slid down my back to cup my ass cheeks. He gave a light squeeze as he rolled his hips into mine, and I groaned when I felt his erection press against my abdomen.

Then we were moving, my feet following wherever he led me until he bumped into something and I bumped into him. He stopped kissing me, turning us around so the table was behind me, his hands sliding under the T-shirt to pull down the boxers. I kicked them to the side and hopped up on the table, parting my thighs and reaching for him, holding him as close to me as possible as we continued to kiss. I dragged his pants off his hips as his hand slid between my thighs. His free hand slid under the T-shirt to cup one of my breasts as I used both of my hands to jack him off and massage his balls. Until I got impatient and tightened my legs around him, tugging him closer.

"Ronan, please."

His hands moved to my hips, dragging me so I was on the very edge of the table. I held his cock in my hand, guiding him in me and we both moaned as he slid inside with one smooth thrust. I circled my hands around his hips, grabbing his ass cheeks and grinding against him. I gasped as pleasurable shocks ran through my body and did it again. Then Ronan pulled out of me, until just the tip of his cock remained inside me, sliding slowly back in until he was seated fully. He repeated it several times, just as slowly, and I raked my nails over his ass at the tease.

He shocked me with a single hard thrust, pausing right after as my body shook on the table. He did it again, picking up a rhythm that drove me crazy, carrying me closer to the edge, but not enough to get me over it.

"Oh, fuck—"

His movements grew harder, faster, and I was gasping and panting for breath and trying to keep up. We kissed sloppily, I could feel spit trickling down my chin and he just pulled off to lick it up and went back to kissing me. I could feel my body start a light tremble that meant I was getting close. As I shuddered in orgasm, his movements stuttered for a moment before he regained his rhythm. He didn't stop, and I clutched at him helplessly as he had his way with me.
