Inked in Vegas (Heathens Ink Book 6) by K.M. Neuhold (4)

Chapter 4

Zade

Walking down the strip with an arm around each of my men, life doesn’t get much better than this.

Although, I’ll admit that I’ve had the urge to call Liam and check in. I know if I show that I’m worried about Liam being all alone, then Royal will go all papa bear, worrying about him. Nash and I talked about it before the trip. As anxious as we might be leaving Liam on his own this weekend, he’s old enough and mature enough to handle it. We need to set a good tone for Royal, so he won’t be obsessing the whole time.

I lean into Nash’s side and bask in his familiar, spicy scent. He tilts his head, subconsciously inviting me to give him a little love bite, which I’m more than happy to oblige.

If it was up to me, we’d spend our kid-free weekend with the three of us tangled up in bed together and skip the club and everything else. But now that the scavenger hunt is a competition, there’s no way I’m going to pass up the chance to dominate.

“Hey, hold up,” Royal whispers, giving my arm a tug to slow me and Nash down.

The rest of our group continues on, not noticing that we’ve fallen behind, and Royal nods toward the hotel we stopped near. Caesars Palace.

“If we’re going to win this thing, we’d better get started now. While everyone else is dancing and drinking, we can be racking up items off the scavenger list. And, what better place to start than a gladiator helmet?” Royal explains.

“Fuck yeah, let’s do this,” I agree.

“Do you have a plan?” Nash asks.

“Of course. You two are going to distract one, and I’m going to nab his helmet, then we’ll all run.”

“Simple yet effective, I like it,” I agree.

“All right, but run fast, because if security catches you, you’re in trouble.”

“Don’t worry baby; I’ve got this,” Royal assures him before pulling Nash in for a kiss. It never fails to make me giddy and horny to watch my men in an embrace.

When they break apart, I steal a kiss from each of them, and then we plan.

“I have a bad feeling about this,” Nash warns as we make our way toward one of the Roman guards.

“What’s to have a bad feeling about? We’re just going to create a diversion and Royal will nab the helmet and run. It’ll be quick and simple.”

“Yeah, okay,” Nash agrees with reluctance.

I link our fingers together and pull him along before he can start to fret too much about it.

The plan we came up with is to kill two birds with one stone: get a bunch of strangers to pose for a selfie with us and one of the guards and then Royal will sneak up and grab the helmet.

When we near an available Roman guard, Nash and I start flashing charming smiles at a few passersby, cajoling them into posing with us.

Once we have a decent size group, we gather around the Roman, and I hold my phone out and start snapping pictures of all of us. In the frame, I see Royal sneaking up. In a flash, he snatches the helmet, and I catch several more images as the guard goes from smiling, to confused, to full on pissed off.

“Run,” I shout to Nash, grabbing his arm and making a break for it.

We’re halfway to the door before I realize Royal isn’t behind us. I skid to a halt and look around. The lobby of the hotel is crawling with people, and it takes me a minute to finally spot him.

Royal looks properly chagrined as he hands the helmet to a security guard who’s looming over him with a pissed off expression.

“Damn, does that count if we only have pictures and not the actual helmet?” I ask.

“You and Royal made up the game; you and I both know you’ll fudge the rules and say it counts.”

“Good point,” I agree before holding up my phone again and taking a picture of Royal being escorted out by the guard. “And hey, that means we’ve got three items already.” I check the items off the list, so everyone can see, and then Nash and I hurry after Royal.

“Damn,” I mutter.

“What’s wrong, baby?” Gage asks, reaching his hand out and putting it on my knee under the table.

“Those assholes are getting a jump on us. I knew that’s where they disappeared to,” I gripe.

“My theory that they were fucking was just as valid,” Dani argues.

“Well, now they’ve got three items off the list.” I show Gage the updated scavenger hunt list on my phone and he’s nowhere near as concerned about this as I am.

Then an idea strikes me.

“I’ll be right back,” I excuse myself and beeline for the bathroom. I slip into a stall and drop my pants, sliding my pink lacy thong down my thighs.

“Beck.” Gage’s voice echoes off the walls of the bathroom.

“Yeah?”

“What are you doing?” he asks, his feet stopping in front of the stall I’m in. I kick out of my panties, readjust my thigh highs, and then pull my jeans back up, careful not to zipper my junk now that I’m going commando. I don’t know how Royal does it all the time, I worry too much about rogue metal teeth.

“I’m in a bathroom, what do you think I’m doing?” I quip.

“It looks like you’re getting changed.”

I open the door and reach for Gage’s hand. I hold it palm up and place my panties into it.

“Shove this into your pocket so we can pretend to get this from a stripper later.”

Gage’s fingers curl around the lace in his hand, and then he smirks at me.

“Does this mean you’re not wearing anything under your clothes?” He licks his lips, eyeing me with interest.

“I’m still wearing something lacy. I know how much you love it, and I hate to disappoint.”

“You never disappoint me.” Gage wraps his arms around my middle and tugs me close, pressing his lips to mine, and slowly coaxing them open. When his tongue slides against mine, my cock strains in the confines of my jeans. “I love you,” he murmurs against my lips, and I shiver with pleasure. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing those words from Gage.

“I love you,” I reply, pecking his lips once more, and then I wipe my lip gloss off his mouth with my index finger. “We’ve got a G-string now. What do you think we should set our sights on next?” Gage pulls his phone out of his back pocket and shows me the list again. “Oh, I so know what we’re doing next. Let’s go.”

Dani

“I don’t think Gage and Beck are coming back,” I say before downing the remainder of the weird pink cocktail Beck talked me into ordering.

“Yeah, there’s no way they’ve been fucking in the bathroom for twenty minutes,” Adam agrees.

“Don’t worry guys, we won’t abandon you during your bachelor weekend,” I say solemnly, because I heard them whispering about ditching us earlier, and I love to fuck with my guys when I get the chance.

“Uh…” Madden casts a sideways glance at Thane, and I bite the inside of my cheek against a smile.

“I mean it, don’t worry. We’ll stick to you two like glue.”

Thane shifts in his seat, and Madden just keeps looking uncomfortable.

“You’re mean,” Owen whispers, finally cracking my poker face.

“I’m fucking with you guys. If you want to ditch us to get up to something kinky, I fully endorse that.”

They both breathe a sigh of relief.

“Why don’t we plan to meet back up in a few hours?” Nox suggests.

“That sounds good. Let’s say we meet at the MGM fountain at ten?” Thane says.

“Cool, I’ll text the rest of the guys to let them know.”

With plans made, we settle up for dinner and part ways.

“So, what’s the plan? Do we care about this scavenger hunt or would you rather drink and gamble since we are in Vegas?”

“Drink and gamble sounds good to me. If we stumble upon a celebrity or a What Happens in Vegas shirt I’m happy with that,” I agree.

Owen nods in agreement and slings an arm over my shoulder again. I relax into his touch and try not to feel too bad for myself that I’m constantly surrounded by gorgeous men and yet I’m painfully single.

Not that I’m allowed to feel bad about that. It’s my own fault, and being single for the rest of my life is the price I’ll have to pay for making a dumbass decision when I was eighteen.

Owen and I stop at the first casino we come to and head inside to throw some money away. Hell, that’s what Vegas is for, right?

“So, when are you going to tell Madden and Thane the big news about your wedding present? Are you waiting until the wedding or telling them after?”

“I’m not sure yet. I’m not sure if doing it on the actual day is best, since they’ll have a lot going on as it is. Maybe before? I don’t know. I’ll probably just blurt it out at some random time leading up to the wedding.”

“Good plan,” Owen chuckles.

“Daniella?”

I stop dead in my tracks, the blood in my veins turning to ice. Owen doesn’t seem to notice I’ve stopped walking and that my world is imploding. I take a deep breath and fix my face into a casual expression before turning around.

My heart stutters to a stop and the world around seems to blur around the edges. The years have been good to sweet little Jamie Callahan. There’s a little stubble on his cheeks, his muscles strain at the tight sleeves of his t-shirt, and he has just a dusting of gray around his temples, which isn’t surprising since his dad went gray at twenty-five too. He’s all grown up and if the rage in his eyes is any indication, he’s so not over what I did.

“Hey Jamie, long time no see,”

“Tsh.” He narrows his eyes and shakes his head at me, and then his gaze travels over my shoulder. I follow his gaze to see Owen finally noticed I was missing and came back for me.

“Problem here?” Owen asks, glancing between Jamie and me.

“You the new boyfriend?” Jamie asks, cocking his head to one side and regarding Owen. “Friendly warning, don’t get too attached. You may leave her in your bed one morning, leave for work, and never see her again.”

“Jamie—”

“Forget it, Daniella. It’s ancient history.” Jamie turns and walks away, leaving me standing in the middle of the lobby of the Mirage with my heart crumbling to pieces.

“Who was that?” Owen asks.

“Remember when you said earlier that our right people were still out there for us?” Owen nods. “You just watched mine walk away hating my guts.”

“Oh shit.”

“Yeah, shit,” I agree with a sigh.

“If he’s still pissed, that mean he still cares. Go after him, try to talk to him,” Owen suggests. “What are the odds you’d run into him in Vegas of all places? Maybe it’s a sign.”

“No, all it’s a sign of is that the universe wanted to remind me what an asshole I am. I need drinks, lots of drinks. Let’s go.”

Nox

“What’s the plan, Bird? Do you want to try to check some things off the scavenger hunt, or find some other trouble to get into while we’re in Vegas?” Adam asks, linking his fingers through mine as we walk down the street.

“I say we go get the t-shirt, and it won’t be difficult to find an ashtray. Then, let’s go to a club and dance. It’s been ages since we danced together, and this time we can do something about the sexual tension.”

“Good plan.”

As predicted, it’s easy to find the t-shirt. We buy it from a street vendor on our way down the street to find the nearest dance club.

Pounding beats lure us inside a place called OMNIA. Memories of the first time Adam and I went to a gay club together wash over me. It feels like another lifetime ago. A lifetime where I was hopelessly crushing on my boss who I figured was way too good to ever share my feelings.

Adam turns his head and smiles at me, the look of love in his eyes making my heart flip. I wonder what I have to do to make Adam mine forever?

“You want anything to drink or straight to dancing?” Adam asks.

“Dancing,” I answer easily, dragging Adam straight for the horde of writhing bodies, moving in time to the music.

Finding an open space to occupy, I turn and plaster my back to Adam’s front. His hips mold against my ass, and his hands explore my chest and stomach as we move to the beat. Adam’s breath on the back of my neck and his hard cock grinding against my ass has me hard in seconds.

I thought my ex, and all the men who paid to fuck me, had stolen any joy I could ever get from bottoming. But Adam has made me whole again in every way, and even though we both prefer that he bottoms most of the time, there are nights when I beg him to fuck me. The feeling of him filling me, stretching me, claiming me is like nothing that came before. His gentle touch and unwavering love has smoothed out the scars on my soul in a way I never thought possible.

I lose track of how many songs play while we move together, touching, grinding, kissing, getting lost in each other. And then I can’t wait any longer to do something about the painful ache between my legs.

I stop dancing and grab Adam’s hand, dragging him through the crowd without explanation.

“Where are we going?” he calls over the music; my only answer is a coy smile.

I push through the first door we come across and find it leads to an alley. Good enough for me. I yank Adam out and then shove him against a wall. I look both ways to make sure we’re alone and then look down to make sure there aren’t any used needles or anything on the ground before I drop to my knees before him.

“Bird, what are you—”

I cut off his question by freeing his dick and taking it into my mouth in a quick motion. Adam’s fingers curl into my hair, never forcing, only establishing a connection as he rakes his blunt nails over my scalp.

I run my tongue along the bulging veins I’ve become so familiar with in the past year, as I take him deep into my throat.

“Bird, wait,” Adam gasps.

I stop moving but don’t pull off, just look up at him so he knows I’m listening.

“Is this okay? In an alley, on your knees, isn’t it a little…”

Reluctantly, I pop his dick out of my mouth so I can answer.

“Not with you. If you’d have asked me this nine months or a year ago, yeah, I would’ve thought this was gross and skeevy. I would’ve thought doing something like this would leave me feeling used and disgusting. But you never make me feel that way. Nothing I do with you could leave me feeling that way. I love you, and you love me.”

“Yeah, I do,” Adam agrees, cupping my face with one hand and running his thumb along my jaw in an affectionate gesture. “I guess, by all means continue, then?”

I chuckle and take him back into my mouth. His laugh turns into a moan as I suck hard, hollowing my cheeks and cupping his balls in my hand.

It doesn’t take long before his cock stiffens against my tongue and then pulses out hot cum down my throat while I swallow every last drop.
