Justice: Katieran Prime (Katieran Prime Book 14) by Kd Jones (10)

Chapter 10

Twelve Hours Later

Zander had met a great many villagers and arriving Morinians. He helped set up security parameters and even had time for a little training with the Colonial warriors. He had missed the morning meal, ate a quick energy bar for lunch, and when he came back from training most of the villagers and Morinians had already shared an evening meal. He was ready for a shower, a hot meal, and to check on his sister.

Walking down the stone pathway leading behind the council building, he admired the clean fresh air and even though it was now nighttime, the weather was still warm. On Norad, they had a cold season and a hot season. The Colony had only one season—hot. It was actually good for his artificial limbs. His joints ached less and he seemed to have more fluidity in his movements.

He heard children laughing as he came around the corner of the building. His sister was there, playing some kind of jumping game with several villagers and Morinian children. He stopped to watch them. Their innocence and ease at welcoming strangers amazed him. Lizetta had the biggest smile on her face and it warmed his heart.

“She looks happy,” a voice said from behind him. He knew that voice and his body responded to it immediately, as if she had caressed him.

He turned to find HonORa standing there. He hadn’t seen nor heard her approach because he had been distracted. Following where she was look, at his sister playing he smiled. “She does look happy. Thank you for taking care of her while I was away.”

HonORa smiled as she watched the young playing. “She is an amazing young female. Lizetta helped me settle the Morinians in their new quarters and has made friends already. The other children really seem to like her.”

“I don’t think she’s smiled like that in months. I was worried about her.”

“Are you hungry? We saved some food for you. I could show you how to heat it up. Your quarters are right next to mine.”

“I’m starving. What about Lizetta?”

“Let her play a few more minutes. All the parents have decided to let the young stay up a little late since this move to the Colony was rough on them. We’re in the first duel cottage on the right. It’s close enough that you can watch her from the kitchen window.”

He followed her down the stone pathway to the first set of cottages. It was two cottages grouped together sharing a wall and a small front porch. Ten cottages were on each side of the pathway, for a total of twenty cottages. He took the two steps up to the small porch with ease. “They went to a lot of trouble to accommodate people who may not be here that long.”

HonORa opened the door. “They didn’t know how long it would be, but they can use the cottages for the visitors they get from the Colonial prime city from time to time. Each cottage has two to three bedrooms and one to two bathrooms. Lizetta and I picked out your cottage. I hope you like it.”

As he entered the cottage, he noticed a sitting area to the left of the front door and a kitchen to the right, which had a large window. He walked over to the window and looked outside. Sure enough, he could see his sister. There were now lights in the trees that lit the pathway and the small playground the children were playing in.

“It’s beautiful isn’t it? ZenIM had someone working on the lights, but they didn’t get them on until now. They’re solar powered so each light soaks up sunlight during the day and will be able to run all night.”

He turned sideways to face her. “It is pretty, but you’re more beautiful.”

She looked up at him in surprise and desire. “Zander…”

He placed a finger on her lips to keep her from saying anything. Wrapping an arm around her waist, he slowly pulled her to him, giving her plenty of time to object. She didn’t stop him, but instead she tilted her head back and licked her lips. He took that as an invitation.

Zander rubbed her lips with his thumb gently, then skimmed his fingers over her cheek. She had such delicate features, high cheekbones, flawless skin, and the most beautiful mouth. It was a mouth he longed to taste. He leaned down closer until his lips barely brushed hers. He brushed them again and again applying more pressure. She hesitated at first, then she responded tentatively, almost shyly. The sweet shy response made him keep hold of his raging desire; he didn’t want to scare her, he needed her to want this as much as he did.

Finally she eased a bit and opened her mouth for him. He could tell by her hesitancy that she hadn’t kissed many males before. It filled him with pride to know that he was special to her. He wanted her to feel special too. He thrust into her mouth gently but with strong strokes. Zander eased when he felt her tensing and increased his pace when she wanting more. All the while he was making sure to bring her pleasure.

His reward came when her moans of pleasure increased and she leaned further into his embrace. She raised her arms up to wrap around his neck. He lifted her up and turned to place her on the sink ledge. Goddess, I want her. He had to have her, but he needed her to want him just as much.

He caressed her shoulders letting his hands travel down to her waist. The more she arched for him, the more he touched. Zander fumbled with the buttons that connected her white robe on the side. He didn’t loosen the buttons but rested his palm right above her heart. It was pounding hard in her chest and he knew that if he touched his own chest, it would be pounding just as fast and just as strong.

“Zander?” Lizetta called out from the porch.

HonORa jumped back away from him and almost fell into the sink. He wanted to growl with frustration at being interrupted, but he didn’t want to be caught like this. It would probably embarrass HonORa.

Lifting her gently off the edge of the sink he placed her on her feet. Then he turned around and walked toward the doorway, making sure to block any view of HonORa that Lizetta might get when she walked inside.

“We’re in here,” he called out.

Lizetta entered the cottage and smiled at him. “Do you like it? HonORa is going to be right next door to us. Her bedroom and your bedroom share a wall, so make sure to not snore.”

He grumbled good-naturedly. “I don’t snore.”

His sister laughed, “You don’t have to hear yourself. You sound like a grunbur drowning.”

“What’s a grunbur?” HonORa asked, stepping around Zander to sit on a chair in the living room.

Lizetta sat down across from her. “It’s this nine-foot-tall furry wild creature on Norad that hates water and can’t swim. It’s got a bad temper and a really loud rough growl. It’s so loud it makes the birds fly away when it roars.”

HonORa laughed, “That bad?” She raised an eyebrow at Zander.

He liked seeing her laugh and smile. “It’s not that bad.”

Sitting down on the couch next to HonORa, he tried not to stare at her like a starving male. She shifted uncomfortably and her cheeks reddened. He could scent her desire for him and it was driving him crazy.

“Oh, I was supposed to get the food warmed up for you while you showered and changed,” HonORa said, jumping up.

“You don’t have to do that.”

“It’s no problem. I’ll have Lizetta help me, so that way she’ll know how to use the cooking equipment.” HonORa quickly walked to the kitchen. Lizetta followed her.

That left Zander with no other choice but to go and shower. Since the shared wall was on the left side, he assumed his bedroom was the one on the left. He entered, pleased to find his bags waiting for him on the bed. The Colonial warriors must have brought the bags up earlier from the shuttle. Grabbing a change of clothes, he walked out of his bedroom and entered the bathroom which was located between the two bedrooms.

Twenty minutes later, he came out of the bathroom feeling clean and refreshed. The delicious smells of the food had his stomach growling. There was a table between the kitchen and sitting area with four chairs. A plate sat there with steaming food and a glass of Katieran juice waiting for him. He sat down and smiled when Lizetta came out of the kitchen with her own plate.

“I didn’t want you to eat alone,” she told him.

He smiled. It was something their mother would have said. Then he realized there were only two plates of food on the table. “Where’s HonORa?”

“She said she was feeling exhausted, so she went to her quarters to get ready for bed.”

“It’s been a long day for all of us.” He tried to keep his disappointment out of his voice. He would see her tomorrow and they could talk about the kiss. He needed to see how she felt, make sure she was okay about it. Please goddess, let her be all right with it because I want to kiss her again and again.

*****

HonORa turned the water from warm to cold. She needed to cool her body off from her reaction to Zander’s kiss and the feel of his body against hers. It had been years since she had shared a kiss with TomAZ, but it wasn’t anything like Zander’s kiss. She had never reacted so physically to her former suitor.

Zander was completely different. His lips were firm, warm, and dominating. She never thought she would like that kind of a kiss but goddess, her whole body had lit on fire with desire. It was still all tingly.

She used soap to lather up her arms and chest. Her fingers ran over her nipples, making them tighten in response. It surprised her because she had never really touched herself like that before. Closing her eyes, she imagined Zander was the one touching her, pinching her nipples and pulling on them. Lowering one of her hands to her stomach, shivers raced up and down her spine.

Resting her hand over her bare pussy, she imagined Zander’s big hand and long fingers. They would feel rough from his manual labor and training. Tipping her head back, she relaxed as the water cascaded down her hair and face. She rubbed her lower lips and it felt good. She liked it but it wasn’t enough. She needed more. What would Zander do?

He would slide his finger inside of her, stroking her inner spot, the one she had heard the Earth females talk about. They called it a G-something. She lightly touched a spot inside and jerked her fingers out in surprise. It didn’t hurt but it felt…strange. She re-inserted her fingers and stroked in and out lightly, touching the sensitive inner nub. The more she stroked, the more she wanted to hit that spot harder. So she increased her speed. Her body arched and she felt fire racing up her spine. She was racing toward a cliff that she needed to reach. Closer, so much closer now.

“Oh…oh…Zander!” she called out his name in a moan as she had her release. HonORa held her other hand against the wall of the shower to keep her balance. Goddess, she had no words for what she felt. If it could feel that good with her hand, how good would it be with Zander?
