Kiss and Tell: A MFM Romance Novella (Small Town Bad Boys Book 5) by Annette Fields (14)

CHAPTER NINETEEN

NACIO

I swirled my third whiskey around in my glass, unable to stop thinking of Maddy’s tongue swirling around the head of my cock.

Never before had a threesome worked out so perfectly in my long and extended experience. Sometimes the girl had regrets or there was some awkwardness with the other guy. Sex became so much more complicated with another person added to the mix when it was often complex enough with just two.

But Luke finally put his immature pride aside and Maddy seemed to genuinely enjoy every bit of it. That honestly surprised me about her.

She knew she wanted it but was still conflicted about it up until the last moment. Even when a girl learns and accepts that she loves all the cock she can get, it usually takes a while for her to let go and just really enjoy it.

Not her. She loved it from the get-go and that made this experience one of my best. I never even went inside her but still loved her sweet little mouth as if I had.

My eyes flickered over to the elevator doors opening and I couldn’t hide my surprise at seeing Luke approaching me. Alone.

Even more surprisingly, he didn’t look hostile in the slightest. Rather he came up to the seat next to me as if we were old pals meeting up for a drink that had been planned for weeks.

“Anyone sitting here?” he asked.

“You are,” I replied.

He seemed hesitant at first but proceeded to pull out the bar stool next to me and eased himself into it.

“Gin and tonic, please,” he said to the bartender.

“On my tab,” I instructed.

Yes, even at my own hotel I kept my own bar tab and paid for it in full. These people’s salaries depended on me plus having money was no good if it didn’t get circulated back into the economy.

“Thanks,” Luke said, a complete 180 of how he felt about benefitting from my money just a few days ago.

We clinked glasses when his drink arrived and we both drank deeply.

“So how is she?” I asked.

“Sleeping like a baby,” he said without any hint of resentment.

“Good.” I pushed my empty glass across the bar. “That means she doesn’t have any doubts keeping her awake.”

“You’re right about that.”

Luke stirred his drink, keeping silent for a while as I watched him curiously.

He came down here for a reason. To unload something he carried on his shoulders.

“Have you ever been truly in love with anyone?” he finally asked.

“In what sense?” I countered. “I’ve treated hundreds of women like queens, showering them with attention, luxuries, and orgasms. I’ve pursued relentlessly until they begged me to take them. Every experience is unique and I’ve loved it all in different ways.”

“But have you met anyone you thought was the one?” he said. “The one person who’d make you forget about all others in an instant. The woman you can see yourself growing old with and raising kids with?”

I fought hard to keep from rolling my eyes as he talked. As mature as he was for a twenty-one-year-old, he still had much to learn about reality.

“No, because I don’t live in a woman’s romance novel,” I answered dryly.

“Well that’s what Maddy is to me,” he said solemnly. “It’s like we’re the same person in two different bodies. We just understand each other on a different level than most people do.”

“That’s romantic,” I said tersely, wondering what kind of point he was trying to make.

He downed the rest of his drink and looked at me squarely, but not in a way that was a challenge.

“And she happens to need two men in order to satisfy her.”

He said it as if fully realizing it for the first time.

Maybe he needed time to come to terms with hit, but I knew this from the first moment I saw her. This was the connection Maddy and I had automatically that he did not. Perhaps his connection with her was cultivated by many years of subtleties and nuanced emotions. It was deep, maybe even true love as he suggested.

However, Maddy and I connected physically, chemically and instantly.

And she needed us both.

“Does that affect your feelings for her?” I asked, hoping he knew better than to slut-shame a woman for enjoying herself. “That she’s the one for you?”

“No,” he answered. The correct answer. “Not at all.”

And yet he looked worried for the first time since sitting with me.

“I am concerned about how other people will treat her, though. Especially in a small town like ours.” His nostrils flared. “If our old-school neighbors see her with you, or wearing a bunch of expensive shit they know I can’t afford, they will talk.”

“I don’t kiss and tell,” I said flippantly. “And I know how to be discreet.”

He gave me a long, hard look.

“I guess you’re going to be a regular part of our lives now.”

“Is that so?” I couldn’t help but smirk.

I chased my prize and I finally caught it.

“Maddy’s happiness means everything to me,” he said. “And this arrangement makes her happy to the point of unconsciousness, so I’m good with it. I just have one rule.”

The kid was ballsy. He was also more intelligent and mature than I gave him credit for. The more I talked to Luke, the more I realized what Maddy saw in him and respected her for it.

“Go on,” I offered.

“Don’t ever play her,” he practically spat through gritted teeth. “You’re either with us or you’re a player slaying your conquests or whatever. But Maddy sees the good in everyone, even you, and she will develop feelings for you. So don’t ever crush her. If you can’t do this arrangement anymore, let us know to our faces. Do not go behind our backs.”

I let his words soak in, absorbing them like a sponge. So he wanted me to not “cheat” on this arrangement. Never before had I had any kind of loyalty to a situation like this. And I never was the kind of person to be restricted.

Still I found myself saying, “Okay.”

I’d be staying in the area for the foreseeable future. I could be a faithful third partner. If Maddy enjoyed herself as much as she appeared to, this arrangement could keep me plenty busy and satisfied.

And no one had ever captured my attention like her before. I still needed the chance to get inside her.

“Good.”

Luke nodded to me as he slid out of the barstool.

“Thanks again for the drink. I guess we’ll see you in the morning.”

I nodded.

“I’ll arrange breakfast in bed,” I grinned. “For three.”
