Lucifer's Hounds: Lucifer's Hounds MC Book1 by Erika Blount (6)

SIX

Lilly woke the next morning to her phone buzzing on her chest.

Picking it up, she saw an incoming call from Cass.

“Hello?”

“Good morning, Miss Summers,” Cass said. Lilly could hear the smile in his voice.

“Good morning. What time is it?” she asked.

“Seven o’clock.”

“Really, Cass?”

He erupted in laughter. “Yes ma’am. Really.”

“Why are you calling me so early? Don’t you know I’m a bartender?” Lilly hoped he couldn’t hear the grumpy mood that showed on her face.

“Yes, I do know. And I’m calling you so early because it has been brought to my attention that you’re sleeping on the couch of my bar, again. Did you get drunk last night?” he asked, and about that time he stepped around the corner of the door that led to the front of the bar.

Hanging up the phone, Lilly looked up at him. The smile that crept on her face was one she couldn’t control nor hide even if she wanted to.

She was genuinely happy to see Cass. Her smile faded quickly, though, as she remembered why Cass probably didn’t stay with her yesterday.

“What?” he asked, noticing the change in her face. Lilly tried to regain her composure.

“Nothing.”

“No, something’s on your mind. What is it?”

“You keep leaving, disappearing without a trace or an explanation for that matter. What am I supposed to think? Because right now, I can tell you what I think.”

“What do you think?”

“I think you’re married. That you have a wife at home who probably has no idea what you’re out doing, or who you’re out doing things with.” If there was a time to be honest, she figured now was as good a time as any.

“Lilly, I’m not married. I don’t have a wife at home. I’m the president of a fucking MC that needs my attention ninety percent of the time. I have a role to fill and my club comes first.”

Lilly let out a sigh of relief. Club she could handle, a wife she couldn’t. She sat up on the couch, silently processing what he said. Now she could get the thought that he was married out of her head.

Cass walked over to her and held out his hand to help her up. He pulled out his phone and opened YouTube, and music burst from the speakers.

“‘Tender Years’?” Lilly’s smile came back in full force.

“Yes ma’am. May I have this dance?” he asked, pulling her in close.

“Of course.” She lay her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around his neck.

She was still in the same clothes she had worn to work last night, she hadn’t brushed her teeth yet, and she really wanted to take a shower, but none of that mattered. All that was relevant right now was the fact that Cass wasn’t married and she was in his arms once again. Cass led her across the room and spun her in circles, making her laugh when he nearly dropped her.

“Well good morning to you, too,” Lilly whispered, her head back in its rightful place on his chest while they danced slowly again.

“I had to see you first thing this morning. You’re doing something to me that I can’t explain. I’ve never wanted to be around someone as much as I want to be around you.” Cass sighed.

“You intrigue me and make me feel alive.”

“Then stop disappearing so much, or at least let me know when you’re done with club shit so I can talk to you or see you if I’m not working.”

“Ahem.” Lilly and Cass both turned to the doorway. Scott was standing there, arms crossed, looking at them.

“Can I help you?” Lilly and Cass said simultaneously then looked at one another and burst into laughter, which in turn made Scott laugh.

“I need to talk to you about the pipes in the corner that you wanted us to change,” Scott said, talking directly to Cass.

“Give me just a minute, please,” Cass said. Scott nodded and walked out the door.

“I want to see where this goes. No titles, no bullshit. Just you and me, figuring whatever this is out together. Are you in?”

Lilly looked up at him, unsure if she was dreaming or if this was really happening. “Abso-fuckin’-lutely.” She grinned then tiptoed to kiss him. His hand lightly brushed her cheek, giving her butterflies.

“Sounds like I’m needed up front,” he whispered.

“I know.” She sighed and pointed to the doorway. Cass headed in the direction of Scott. Letting her stomach get the best of her, she walked to the front of the bar.

The only two people in there were Cass and Scott. It was only eight in the morning.

“Hey. Did either of you happen to bring food?” she asked. They looked over at her and both smiled.

“What?” Lilly checked her reflection in the mirrors behind the bar. “Oh.”

Her hair was poking up in ten different directions. Laughing at her own silly reflection, Lilly tried to pat down the mess on top of her head. Finally getting it under control, she turned to see Cass and Scott were still staring at her.

“Hey, are y’all going to answer my question or are you just going to let me wonder and starve in the process?” she asked with her hands on her hips.

“There’s donuts over there.” Scott pointed at the end of the bar. Lilly rushed over and grabbed two.

“Oh, thank you. There is a God,” she said as she stuffed a donut in her mouth. Cass and Scott stood in the corner of the bar, talking and pointing around at the different changes for about ten minutes. When they finished up their conversation, Cass walked over to Lilly.

“I have to get out of here. I was supposed to be at the office twenty minutes ago.” He kissed her on the cheek before he walked back to Scott.

Lilly walked into the bathroom and started the shower. She heard the door to the bar open and close when Cass left. The air in the building felt less energetic knowing that Cass was no longer there. Lilly got dressed and rushed out the door. Scott stopped her as she was walking out.

“Hey, what are you doing?” he asked.

“Honestly, it’s none of your business. I don’t have to work today, therefore I don’t have to be here.” She stomped to walk around him. Scott stepped in front of her again.

“Whoa, I was just asking. I didn’t mean to offend you.”

“You’re good. I’m sorry, I don’t know what my problem is lately. I’ve got a lot going on in my head.” Honestly, she was going to check out her house, find the new owner, and discuss with them the possibility of her catching up on the rent and staying there, but Scott didn’t need to know that.

“I understand. Have a good day,” he said and moved out of her way. Lilly made it to the house in time to find that the new owner was a property managing company. The agent over the property was at the house when she arrived.

“You must be Miss Summers,” the woman said when Lilly walked up.

“Yes. Please, call me Lilly,” she said as she shook her hand. The agent wasn’t much taller than Lilly. Long, curly black hair rested just above her ass. She had a light about her. She was dressed in a green collared shirt with a white logo in the right corner and a pair of blue jeans with black boots.

“I’m Carrie. I’ll be the one managing your account with us,” she said with a genuine smile.

“Nice to meet you, Carrie.”

“It shows here that your account was past due with the previous owner, but it was paid in full when we took over.”

“What?” Lilly hadn’t made a payment. Until five minutes ago, she didn’t even know that an actual company had bought the property. There had to be a mistake.

“Yes ma’am. It shows a payment made yesterday in the amount of two thousand dollars on your account. Looks like you’re paid up for next month, too.”

“That isn’t right. I haven’t made a payment,” Lilly said.

“No ma’am, it’s certainly right. I took the payment myself,” Carrie assured her.

“Do you know who paid it?”

“I’m not allowed to share that information. I know, it’s silly, but it’s part of our policy.”

“Oh.” Lilly sighed. “Well, thank you anyway. And thank you for letting me know.”

“Not a problem. Is there anything else I can help you with?”

“Nope, I think that about covers it. I came here to try and talk you into letting me stay in my house, but it looks like I don’t have to. Can you tell whoever it was that paid it that I said thank you?”

“No, I don’t have their contact information. I’m sorry, Lilly.”

“Well damn. Okay. Thank you, again.”

Carrie nodded her head and gave Lilly a reassuring smile. “Anytime. It was so good to meet you,” she said as she walked to her car.

“You too!” Lilly called back.

She unlocked the door to her house before she walked out to Betty to grab some of the things she had loaded down in the trunk. She started packing everything back in and setting it in its original spot. It was weighing on her mind that someone had paid her rent and she didn’t know who. Mindy, maybe? Or her mom? She wasn’t sure. When she finally got everything back inside, Lilly kicked back on the couch. The couch at the bar was comfortable, but there was nothing like being at home on her own couch.

Lilly pulled her phone from her back pocket. It was only eleven thirty, and she was bored out of her mind just sitting at home. She decided to get up and go see Mindy. She needed some counseling after this morning, and a drink probably wouldn’t hurt her either.

Lilly got to the bar just in time to catch Mindy before lunch.

“I’ll have whatever you’re having,” Lilly said as she walked through the door. Mindy was eating a bowl of red beans.

“There’s some on the stove in the back. Go grab a bowl.”

Lilly fixed herself a bowl and sat at the bar. It was empty, mostly because it wasn’t actually open to the public yet. Lilly couldn’t help but think of how amazing it looked. The two different crews that had come in and redone everything had done such a good job. It was definitely not the same bar that it used to be, and that was a good thing. This was going to be good for business. Hell, the driveway alone would be good for business.

“So, what’s up with you and mystery biker slash boss man?” Mindy asked between bites.

“He came in this morning after he called and woke me up. I was worried that he was married at first, but he cleared that up really quick, then told me he wants to see where things go,” Lilly said.

“You’re joking.”

“Nope. I went to find him yesterday, started in on a complete bitch fest, and he grabbed me mid-sentence and fucked me, then left. Then this morning he said that and now I haven’t heard from him because he’s working. Or doing club shit, but I’m thinking working.”

“You lucky bitch.”

“Yeah, well, you know. My luck hasn’t always been like this. Oh! A property management company bought my house, so I met with the agent handling my account today.”

“What’d she say?”

“That I can stay . . . because someone paid my late rent from the last two months and paid next month’s rent, too.”

“Really? Did they tell you who?” Mindy asked.

“Negative. She said it was company policy that she couldn’t discuss it with me. Funny, huh? They can’t tell me who paid my rent.”

Mindy giggled. “That is kind of funny.”

“Did you do it?”

“No, love. I didn’t. I wish I could have, but it wasn’t me.”

“Damn. I thought it was you. It could have been my mom, but I haven’t talked to her and she doesn’t even know that the house got bought out.”

“I don’t know, love.”

Lilly sighed. She would have to give her mom a call soon. No one else knew about her financial struggles.

“I’m nervous, Min,” Lilly admitted. She moved her spoon around aimlessly in her bowl and tried to process everything that was going on around her.

“I think you worry too much. So what if someone paid your rent? Be grateful and call it Sunday. One less thing for you to worry about. As far as Cass goes, enjoy it while it lasts and have fun. Stop being so damn serious all the time.”

“You’re right. I need to stop overthinking and enjoy my life. What would I do without you?”

“Let’s not ever find out, because I don’t know what I would do without you.” Mindy offered her a smile.

“This is why I love you. So, what’s going on in your world? How are things going with Kyle?”

“Things aren’t going that well. The more time I’ve spent around him . . . He’s a great guy, but I just don’t think it’s going to work.”

“Aw, love. I’m sorry. You’ll find someone one day, though.” Lilly gave her a reassuring smile.

“Yeah. One day,” Mindy sighed.

Lilly finished eating and brought her bowl to the back. She was so used to spending almost all her time at the bar that even on her days off, she was there. The thought made Lilly giggle internally, and she shook her head. Walking back up front, Lilly took her place at the bar.

“Have you talked to him about the grand reopening?”

Mindy asked.

“No. I haven’t thought about it to tell you the truth. That’s the last thing on my mind when he’s around.” No sooner than the words came out of her mouth, Cass stepped out from the back of the bar. Lilly looked up in surprise. She was just back there. Where did he come from?

Mindy looked over at Cass. “So, mystery biker. Oh, sorry, I mean boss man. When is this grand reopening?”

“Everything is done, so I was thinking we could host the grand reopening on Friday. That gives us five days to get the word out, and I’ve already had the flyers made up. There’s a stack of them on the desk in the office.”

“I guess that’s settled then. I’ll ride around and put them out around town today since the bar isn’t open yet.” Mindy walked past him to the back in search of the flyers.

Cass walked up behind the bar and stood in front of Lilly.

“Can I help you?” she asked.

“Yes, you can. Meet me here tonight, seven o’clock.”

“And why would I do that?”

“Because you want to and I’m leaving for California tomorrow, so, you want to,” he said, giving her his signature smile. Lilly wouldn’t show it, but she had just melted internally. He was right, she wanted to. She returned a smirk of her own and nodded her head.

“Good. I’ve got to get back to work. I only stopped to drop off the flyers and then I saw your car and I had to say hi. You look amazing today by the way.”

“Thank you.” Lilly smiled.

“No, thank you,” he said and walked to the back just as Mindy rounded the corner with the flyers in her hand.

“Whoa, boss,” Mindy said, barely avoiding colliding into Cass when he walked through the door. “What was that about?” Mindy asked Lilly when he left.

“A date, maybe? I’m not really sure. I didn’t get the details because I was too excited that he asked me to meet him tonight.”

“That sounds interesting. You have to give me all of the juicy

details later.” Mindy walked around the bar, keys in hand, and kissed Lilly on the cheek. “I’m out of here. Have fun tonight.”

“Oh, I will.” Lilly smiled as Mindy rolled her eyes and walked out.

The day dragged on, and Lilly went back home to relax while she waited for seven. She was excited about seeing Cass because he invited her this time. He wanted to see her, though she was aggravated that he automatically assumed she would show up. She hated that he was right.

Lilly spent most of her day on the couch, and around five o’clock, she got up to get showered. She didn’t know what Cass had planned, but whatever the occasion, she would be dressed to turn heads.

She threw on a pair of black dress shorts along with a pair of black lace underwear and a black, one-shouldered, long-sleeved shirt with holes on the sleeve. Lilly looked in the mirror. All she needed now was to blow-dry her hair and apply some makeup. Whatever Cass’s plans were, he wasn’t going to be able to keep his hands off of her for long. Lilly smiled at the thought of Cass’s expression when he saw her tonight. Mindy was right; she had to live a little and not worry so much.

Lilly made it to Creek’s just in time. When Lilly rounded the corner of the parking lot, she saw Cass on his pretty blue bike pulling up by the front porch. It was almost seven, the bar was closed, and she had been told to meet Cass. These were the ingredients for a very fun and perfect night. Lilly smiled at the thought of the endless possibilities. Cass was dressed in dark blue jeans, black boots, and a black shirt with purple and gold lettering on it that she couldn’t make out beneath his cut, and he had on the same hat he wore when she met him in Houston.

Lilly’s mouth almost watered at the sight of him. She found herself aching for him. All she could think about was ripping every article of clothing off him and taking him right there in the parking lot. No. Stop. Focus, Lilly. It was hard to think straight when he walked around looking like that. She mentally noted to check the side of her mouth for drool when she could turn her head away from Cass’s direction.

“Hello, Miss Summers,” Cass said as Lilly approached the front porch.

“Hello, Mister Sonnier.” She walked up the steps until she was nose to nose with him. She felt cat-like, sexy, and seductive. She placed a hand in the center of his chest and pushed lightly until his back was against the wall.

“You wanted to see me?” she whispered.

“Yes ma’am.” He grabbed her hips and lifted her up. Hey now. I was in charge, Lilly mentally protested, but as soon as she was up, her legs went around his waist and she was no longer thinking of rebelling. He carried her through the door and locked it behind them.

Setting Lilly down, he stepped back and sized her up. “You look like a fucking model right now.”

“Thank you. You look pretty hot yourself,” Lilly said.

He walked back over to her and spun her around. Kissing her gently on the shoulder, he grabbed her hair and pulled it, positioning her head and neck exactly where he wanted it. Cass placed little kisses from her collarbone up to her ear before stopping and letting her go. Lilly turned to face him with her bottom lip half-poked out. Cass laughed at her.

“Oh, now that is too fucking cute.” He tried to stifle his laughter without much success. “Come see. I have something for us.” He led her to the back of the bar. When they made it to the lounge area, she saw that dinner was set up on the dining room table with a candle in the center of it. He pulled out a chair for her and kissed her temple before walking around the table to take a seat.

“I wanted to have dinner with you tonight for a few reasons. We’ve yet to have a meal together, we’ve yet to be on an actual date, and I wanted to see you before I go out of town tomorrow.”

Dinner was ribeye steak, baked potato, and steamed broccoli served with a side of ranch.

“How’d you know I’d need ranch?” Lilly asked, surprised.

“I may have asked Mindy for a few pointers.” He smiled. “How long have you been bartending?”

“Two-and-a-half years. Way too long.” Lilly cut into her steak and dipped it in ranch. Putting the first bite onto her taste buds, her eyes widened.

“Oh my god, this is amazing,” Lilly said, chewing a mouthful of food.

“Thank you.” Cass laughed at her.

Lilly finished chewing what was in her mouth before asking Cass a question of her own. “You said you were going out of town tomorrow. Where to?”

“California.”

“I’ve always wanted to go to California. Pack me in your suitcase!” Lilly joked, kind of. California sounded free, and there was nothing in this world that she wanted more than freedom.

“I think I could fold you up and throw you in there. My company has a job that needs a tool—the government says no—so I have to convince them that they do need the tool.”

“You’ve got that handled all day long.”

“I’m not so sure. Some of the people we do business with are ruthless.”

“Well, I have faith in you.”

“Thank you, even though I’m not sure faith will work.”

“It will,” Lilly said. “So, I have a question. One that I probably should have asked when I met you but I was too distracted to think. How old are you?”

Cass chuckled. “Thirty-seven, and you aren’t the only one who was too distracted. There was some smoking hot woman shooting pool with me, and I can’t tell you hardly anything about her. What I can tell you, though, is I want to know anything about her. How old are you, Miss Summers?”

Lilly’s heartbeat quickened, unsure of how Cass would react to their age difference. “I’m twenty-four.”

“I had no clue you were so young. I never would have guessed it. You don’t carry yourself like other women your age.” He held up his hands. “No offense, it’s not that you look older, you just don’t act like you’re twenty-four.” Cass fumbled through his last few words, trying to dig himself out of the imaginary hole he had evidently thought he dug. He didn’t dig one, though. Lilly smiled at the thought as well as the compliment.

“It’s fine. I take that as a compliment, thank you.” The two of them were almost done eating. “You owe me a few games of pool, by the way.”

“Yes, I do.”

“Then rack ‘em, boss man.”

Lilly was confident, and it radiated off her tonight more than ever. She wasn’t sure if it was because Cass made her feel that way or if it was because she was simply happy. Either way, she had no complaints. She was in this playful, fun mood. Something about Cass made her feel light and alive. Cass smirked at her as he retrieved the key to the pool table and unlocked it.

“Oh, free pool. I guess that’s just one of the perks of being the boss man’s play toy,” Lilly joked as she followed him out to the front and grabbed her personal stick from the broom closet.

“Oh, you’re being all fancy now?” he asked, eyeballing her as she put her stick together.

“Yep.” She leaned her stick against the wall. Cass walked to the back. When he came back up front, he held a black pool cue case.

“Someone else is going to be fancy with me,” Lilly noted.

Cass pulled out his stick and put it together. “Break ’em up.”

Lilly walked to the table and broke. She dropped one of each then missed the stripe she was shooting at. “Your shot. Open table, babe.”

Cass walked up to the table and checked out the setup. He got down on the table and shot out all but two of the stripes. “You better shoot like a man with one bullet,” he said as Lilly stepped up to the table.

She wouldn’t let him get inside of her head. I got this. I so got this. Lilly smiled a bright smile and got down on the table to shoot. She aimed carefully, taking all the necessary shots to set herself up for the next shot, and the one after that.

When she was down to only two balls and got herself hung up behind one of Cass’s stripes, he taunted her.

“What you gonna do now, MacGyver?”

“I don’t know yet.” She read the table. She had a hard two-rail bank on the three ball, and she wasn’t sure she could make it. Talking herself out of it, then back into it, she took the shot. The three ball teetered in the pocket before dropping.

“Damn good shot!” Cass said.

Lilly had a straight-in shot on the two ball and sunk it with ease. Left with only the eight ball, Lilly looked up at Cass. He smiled as he watched her every move. He didn’t think she was going to make it, or at least that’s what the smug look on his face said. He could be right. She wasn’t good at shooting the eight, only because of the pressure. It took her two tries, at a minimum, the majority of the time. There’s no way I’m going to make this.

Pointing to the corner pocket, Lilly shot the eight ball.

It sunk directly into the pocket, and Lilly jumped up from the table. “Yes!”

“Damn it, girl. Great shooting.”

“That’s the first time I’ve ever done that.”

“Done what? Won?” he asked.

Lilly slapped him on the arm. “No, thank you very much. That was the first time I’ve ever had an eight-ball run!” she said.

Cass smiled at her. “And it was against me. That’s awesome.” He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Hi,” she said, looking into his gorgeous pair of gray-green eyes.

He smiled so big that his eyes half-closed. “Hi.”

“What?” His smile was amazing, but it had a mischievous look to it.

“Why don’t you grab us a few drinks since I’m the rack boy? I have an idea.”

Lilly walked behind the bar. “What you want to drink, boss man?” she asked.

“Whatever you bring me.”

Lilly fixed her usual drink and grabbed a Dos Equis for Cass. She walked over and handed it to him then grabbed her stick to break.

“What’s this idea you have?”

“Oh, just wait,” he said, still smiling that up-to-no-good smile.

Lilly broke, and the cue ball took to the corner pocket like a magnet. She handed the cue ball to Cass. “Open table.”

“Lose a piece of clothing,” Cass told her.

“Do what?” She looked at him as if he’d lost his mind.

“You heard me.” His smile grew.

Lilly raised an eyebrow and smiled back. She took off her shoes. “Happy?”

“It’ll work for now. We’re playing strip pool.”

“Oh really? So anytime we scratch, we lose an article of clothing?” Lilly wanted to make sure she understood the rules.

“Yes ma’am.” Cass took his place at the table and shot. After two balls, he missed. Lilly’s turn. She shot and scratched again.

“Lose a piece,” he said. Lilly thought for a second and dropped her shorts.

“Mmm,” Cass hummed before he walked back to the table. He shot again and this time he scratched.

“Lose a piece,” she said. Cass took off his cut. “Oh, that’s not fair. If that’s fair, then your shoes don’t count,” she protested.

“No, no, no. They count.” Cass laughed. “Your shot, Miss Summers.” Lilly walked up to the table and made two more then missed. Cass shot and scratched again.

“Lose the shirt,” Lilly demanded.

“Nope.” He took off his jeans instead, leaving him in only his shirt and boxers. Lilly shot and missed. Cass went up and did the same thing. They went back and forth without scratching until Cass won. “Rack ’em, rack girl.”

Lilly bent over a little more than necessary when she was racking, and it didn’t go without being noticed. She felt the heat of Cass’s gaze on her body with every little move she made.

Cass broke, and the cue ball went flying off the table. “Damn it.”

He slid his shirt over his head slowly and tossed it on the floor. Lilly took in the sight of Cass standing there. To her, the most attractive way a man could be was shirtless.

To hell with this pool game. Lilly walked over to him and got straight to the point.

Grabbing his boxers and dropping them, she kissed her way from his neck to his cock. She heard him gasp as she kissed all around him, teasing him. She made it her mission to get as close to his cock as possible without touching it with her mouth.

She kissed all over his thighs, his lower abdomen, and his pelvis. He moaned, his want for her intensifying with every touch of her lips somewhere other than the one he needed her to touch.

Not able to take the torture any longer, Cass grabbed Lilly by the hair and pushed into her mouth. She welcomed him, her tongue circling his head.

“Oh, fuck yeah.” Cass moaned. The sound of his voice turned Lilly on even more.

She took his length into her mouth and started slowly, moving up and down, making sure to drag out every movement. The sounds he made had her wet and aching for him. Almost as if he read her mind, he picked her up by her thighs and turned her upside down, holding her up. Grabbing at her underwear, he ripped them off and threw them across the room.

Cass buried his face between her legs while she sucked him. Lilly’s moan was stifled by his hard, throbbing cock filling her mouth. Cass moved his tongue faster, making Lilly move faster. It was a never-ending cycle of pleasure. The feel of Cass’s tongue sliding up and down Lilly’s clit made the nerves in her legs twitch and sent chills all over her body. When she shivered, her body moved and caused her to wobble. For a split second, she was afraid she was going to tumble over, but Cass caught her and repositioned her just in time.

There were no words to describe the enjoyment she got out of Cass’s mouth hot on her pussy. Without any control over herself, Lilly tried to move her hips, helping Cass bring her to that state of pure bliss that her body eagerly awaited. It was difficult, though, to move at this angle.

Cass began moving his own hips with the same motion, forcing all of him into Lilly’s mouth. Lilly managed to refrain from gagging when she felt him halfway down her throat. The feeling sent Cass into a fit. He whimpered and moaned.

“Stop.” He managed to get the word out in a breath. He breathed heavily and Lilly could feel his cock pulsating. He was getting close. He turned Lilly back over, setting her down on the pool table. She let out a whine in protest, his tongue no longer on her, but she was silently grateful to be back in a normal position.

Throwing her legs over his shoulders, Cass slammed into her, changing her tone from whining to moaning.

He pounded in and out of her and with every stroke. Lilly felt herself on the brink of exploding, but she wanted to hold on to that on-edge feeling. Cass caressed her face as he positioned himself directly on top of her. His face stayed close to hers as his tongue grazed the inside of her bottom lip.

If she didn’t know any better, she’d swear his lips had shocked her. People speak of sparks all the time, but she’d never experienced it nor did she believe in anything of the sort until this moment. Something in that simple movement ignited a fire inside of her that the devil himself would envy.

Lilly felt like a shark who just had a taste of blood, Cass’s lips sending her into a frenzy. She wanted more, needed more from him. Cass picked her up off the table and lay in her place before putting her on top of him. His head rested on the rail of the pool table. Looking down at Cass, Lilly’s eyes closed and a smile filled with more than pleasure spread across her face.

Even if that’s all this is, or will ever be, at least I will be able to say that in moments like this, I am the luckiest woman in the world.

Lilly rode him slow at first in long, drawn-out strokes. She was enjoying every inch of him in slow motion, and he was letting her have control. There was no complaint on his part either, which was evident with the hungry look in his eyes and the way they would flicker closed when Lilly took all of him inside of her.

Cass grabbed Lilly’s hips and thrust upward. Lilly let out a half scream at the sensation filling her with both pain and pleasure. The pain was always the most pleasurable when it came from Cass, sending chills down her spine as he pushed into her. The felt from the pool table rubbed at Lilly’s knees, and she knew there would be carpet burn there later. She changed positions, her nose touching his, and picked up the pace. With one hand behind Cass’s head and the other on his chest, she rode him slowly, rubbing her hand down the side of his face as she admired the man beneath her.

She couldn’t help but think about how lucky she was and how she never in her life dreamed she’d experience something like this with someone who was so sweet, gentle, yet rough when he needed to be. As these thoughts raced through her mind, she placed her lips on his. She could taste the sweat on his lips, and it pulled her from her thoughts, replacing them with a desire deep inside of her that began to stir wildly.

She wanted her own sweet release.

Sitting straight up on Cass, she put both of her hands on his chest and ground her hips into him as she rode him. With every motion, she felt herself closer and closer to the brink of explosion.

“Fuck, Lilly. Yeah.”

Lilly allowed herself to continue to build. She held onto it for as long as she could, and she felt him building with her. “Come with me, baby. Please.” Lilly moaned.

“Yeah baby. Make me come. I’m coming with you.” Cass moaned, and Lilly could feel his release inside her, making her come undone around him. Her legs tightened around his waist along with every other muscle in her body as she came hard. Cass moaned with her as she let out a defeated, yet satisfied, whimper. After he drained every bit of her orgasm from her, she relaxed and lay her head in the center of his chest, a place she was now beginning to think of as her spot.

Cass did just as he had before and stroked his hand through Lilly’s hair. Lilly lay there with Cass, eyes closed and mouth open in a smile. The feeling she had in this moment was unexplainable. She lay there for what felt like an eternity when she realized she was probably squishing Cass. Sitting up, Lilly looked around. She had forgotten that the two of them were in the bar. Hell, she had forgotten the bar existed.

“Wow,” Cass said from underneath her.

Lilly looked down at him. The view from where she sat was amazing. She looked down into those gorgeous eyes, filled with pleasure that she caused, and a smile that was absolutely amazing.

“What?” Lilly asked.

“You. Just you.” He closed his eyes and let his smile remain.

“I’m fixing to make a run for it,” Lilly said playfully as she wiggled on top of him. Cass laughed and sat up with her in his lap.

“Here.” He moved to the edge so she could step down easily.

“Thank you.” She walked to the back in search of a towel to clean the mess they had just made.

“Look at that ass,” Cass said, causing Lilly to shimmy her hips from side to side a little as she walked off. She could hear Cass laughing to himself when she rounded the corner to the back of the bar. Coming back out with a towel that she had wet for him, she tossed it to him before she made it back to where they were.

“Thank you, ma’am,” he said as he cleaned himself up.

“Well, looks like I can scratch that off my bucket list.” Lilly let out a sigh.

“What’s that?”

“All of the above: strip pool, sex on a pool table, and sex with my boss. Three firsts for me,” she confessed.

“Really?” he asked, a look of astonishment on his face. “You’ve never done any of that before?”

“No. Come on, it’s not like that’s something I do with every guy I see,” she said, her tone dry and cold. She didn’t expect him to insult her like that. Lilly stormed across the bar to pick up her clothes. Cass followed behind her and grabbed her wrist, turning her to face him.

“Hey, I didn’t mean anything by that. I just figured a woman as beautiful as you has had her fair share of experiences. I wasn’t judging you, and I’m sorry if it sounded that way, baby.” One hand stayed securely on either side of her face. Cass touched his lips to hers ever so lightly. “That didn’t make it any better, huh? I’m bad with words, so bear with me.”

Lilly cracked a smile and placed her lips to his. “You’re good,” she said, pulling away.

“Okay.”

Lilly bent down to pull on her black shorts then picked up her shirt. “I think I get the hint,” Lilly said, putting her shirt on.

“What? What are you talking about?”

Lilly laughed. “Sorry. Okay, here’s my train of thought. Every time I wear underwear, you rip them off. I get the hint now. I’ll stop wearing them when I know I’m going to see you.”

Cass looked at her with a playful light in his eyes. “It’s about damn time.” He smiled her favorite smile.

“I don’t mind it, though. It’s sexy as hell, so now I’m torn. Do I stop wearing them or do I keep wearing them?” she pondered aloud.

Cass chuckled. “Whatever you want. How about some dessert?”

“What? I thought that was dessert.” She pretended to look surprised.

“That was the beginning of dessert. This,” he said, opening the cooler to reveal a pie, “this is dessert.”

“Oh, you really do know the way to my heart.” She grabbed two plates and spoons from the back.

Lilly rounded the corner to the front of the bar again with the biggest shit-eating grin on her face. There were few things that excited Lilly anymore, but sweets were most definitely one of them.

Cass laughed when he saw her. “Here I am thinking I was the only fat kid around here.”

She was nearly salivating over the thought of this pie. Dessert following dessert? Yes, please. “You are absolutely not. Fat girl gotta eat. Gimme!” She snatched the tray of pie away from Cass.

“Give it back.” Cass rose out of the barstool he was sitting in.

Lilly ran around the bar and behind a pool table. “Never!” she joked, holding the tray up and running a hand over it.

Cass juked, moving one way then the other and jumped onto the pool table and over it, tackling Lilly when he landed.

Cass had enough sense to put a hand behind her head as they tumbled to the ground, both of them in a fit of laughter. Lilly lay beneath him, laughing so hard she could barely breathe, with pie all over both of their smiling faces.

“Damn it to hell,” Cass said. Lilly, still laughing, got quiet as she looked up at him. His smile was out of this world.

Cass had also stopped laughing and, without saying a single word, he kissed her more passionately than she had ever been kissed before, even by him. She could feel the words he didn’t say, she could feel the hunger he had for her inside him, she felt the sparks as the two of them connected. In this very moment, there was not a world outside. There was nothing but Lilly and Cass, lost in each other.

Her mind raced as she tried to process whatever it was she felt. She felt safe, secure, and happy. More than that, though.

Cass pulled away all too soon, and they locked eyes. Cass’s hands gripped her face, and she played idly in his hair. “You are so beautiful, even covered in pie.” Cass leaned down and licked her cheek.

Lilly giggled. “Thank you.”

She leaned up and licked his cheek, returning the favor. “You taste just like pie!”

Cass laughed hysterically. His eyes were closed, his smile wide, and his face started to turn red. Lilly fell into a fit of laughter just because he was laughing.

“I need to get going. I have to get some sleep so I can be at the airport bright and early in the morning.”

Lilly stuck her bottom lip out. “Fine.”

Cass stood up and held his hand out to help her up. Together, they walked to the bathroom in the back to clean the pie off their faces.

Standing in front of the mirror with Cass behind her, Lilly couldn’t help but stare at their reflection. They fit well together. Cass wet a towel and wiped his face, then turned to her to wipe hers. She looked at his hands, watching each move he made.

“What are you thinking when you look at me like that?” he asked, his head cocked to the side.

“Honestly?” she asked.

“Well, yeah. Do you know how to be any other way?”

“It amazes how your hands are rough, yet so gentle when they’re on me.”

“That’s sweet.” A soft smile touched his face. Lilly regained her composure from her confession and turned around to walk out of the bathroom.

“You better get going,” she said.

“Yes ma’am. Keep in touch with me while I’m gone?”

“Abso-fuckin’-lutely.” She kissed him on the cheek.

Cass grabbed Lilly’s hand and started to walk her out.

“You go ahead. I have to stay and clean up. I can’t leave the place like this.”

“I’m not leaving you here alone,” he said. “I’ll help, then we can both leave.”

Lilly just smiled and started picking up the bar. While she washed the dishes, Cass cleaned the pie on the floor.

Drying her hands off, Lilly walked to the front of the bar. “Ready to get out of here, boss man?”

“Yes ma’am.” He opened the door for her, and the two of them walked out together, hand in hand. Cass walked her to her car and kissed her one more time before turning to get on his bike.
