Major Events (Special Forces: Operation Alpha) by Jesse Jacobson, Operation Alpha (8)

Chapter 8

May hopped in the Jessup’s 1970 Chevelle Super Sport. He turned the ignition. The car roared to life. She was nearly hyperventilating, seeming to be brimming over in excitement. The adrenaline surging through her veins had amplified the alcoholic buzz.

“Thank you for coming to my rescue,” May said, when they were on the road. “That was a-mazing!”

“My pleasure. I’m so sorry the whole matter spiraled into a physical altercation.”

“Sorry? Don’t be. Oh, my god. That was flat out bad ass,” she squealed. “That big guy was younger and had you by fifty pounds at least, and you whupped his ass, then spanked the other guy like the little bitch he was. Woo-eee!”

Jessup looked at her, slightly bewildered, “This is a side of you I haven’t seen.”

“What can I say?” she said. “I’m a little drunk and the whole thing got the juices flowing.”

Jessup laughed, “Well…”

“Sorry. That whole scene charged me up. I love watching a good old fashion ass kicking, especially when it saves my bacon.”

“I should have never left you there to begin with,” he said. “Those jerks would not have made a move if I’d been there when they walked in.”

“It worked out the way it needed to,” she said. “Everything you said about Marbury was true. He’s a slime ball. I could never trust a man like that to deliver on his promises. Everything he’s told me was a lie. Then he has the balls to send a goon to pressure me?”

“So, you’re reconsidering your position?” Jessup asked.

“You’re damn right I’m reconsidering,” she agreed. “What time is it?”

“Just a little before nine o’clock,” Jessup said.

“Good. It’s not too late,” she said, pulling her cell. She dialed. It rang twice.

“Mrs. Sweeney, this is May,” she began. “I heard what happened. I’m so sorry.”

“You’re sorry? I don’t know why I should believe you,” the woman replied.

“Why would you say that?” May asked.

“Because Mr. Marbury told me you ordered my termination,” she complained. “I can’t believe you’d smile at me to my face this morning and then stab me in the back in the afternoon.”

“I wouldn’t,” May insisted. “Marbury lied to you. I didn’t know he was doing it. I damn sure didn’t order it, and I don’t support it.”

“What can I do for you?” she asked in a tone that made May believe she wasn’t sure if she believed what she heard.

“I want to hire you back,” May touted.

“What?”

“You heard me. I want to hire you back… and with a twenty percent salary increase.”

“Does this mean you’re staying on after the funeral?” Mrs. Sweeney asked.

“I’m staying, and you and I have a lot of work to do.”

“Are you sure?” she asked. “These people… you don’t know who you’re dealing with.”

“I have an idea. Will you come back?”

“Well…,” she said. “Yes.”

“Good. I’ll see you in the office in the morning.”

“What about Paula?”

“Paula, the receptionist? What about her?”

“They fired her too, right after you left the building. She called me and told me about it.  The termination devastated her. She’d moved out of her parents’ house recently and into her own apartment.”

“Jesus! She’s hired back, too, dammit,” May assured. “Can you do me a favor and call her for me? Tell her to show up and I’ll straighten it out tomorrow.”

“What do you intend to do?” Mrs. Sweeney asked.

“I’m gonna do what my father would do,” May replied.

“Kick ass and take names?”

“Something like that. I’m going to take the bull by the horn and sort this mess out.”

Mrs. Sweeney chuckled, “I heard that. I’ll see you in the morning.”

May hung up and looked at Jessup.

“Everything ok?” he asked.

“Yeah,” she answered. She exhaled, “This whole thing has me fired up. I’m ready to take on the lot of them. Take the next right and follow the road toward the beach.”

Jessup turned.

“Nice car, by the way,” May said. “I like muscle cars from the 1970s.”

“I bought this from a retired race car driver living in Astoria when I got out of the service. It was a rusted junk heap. Had to have it towed to my house. Been working on it for six years.”

“I like it. You know, there are never any cops on this road,” May said. She looked at him with a wry grin. “I’m still a little buzzed and I… have the need… for speed.”

Jessup chuckled, “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying, hit the gas and let’s see what this bad boy can do,” she replied.

Jessup smiled and shrugged, “You know this car goes faster with the top down.”

“Do it!” she commanded, grinning from ear to ear.

“You sure? It’s a little cold outside.”

“It’s over seventy degrees.”

“I know… but…”

“Tell me, Mr. Jessup; did you become a sissy after your military service or have you always been this way?”

She looked at him. There was a sparkled in her eye and a mischievous smile on her face. He chuckled.

“All right then, you asked for it.”

He pulled off the side of the road and stopped so he could roll the top down. “This is a 1970 Chevelle,” he said. “Roll your own window down.”

She chuckled, “My father had a car with windows like that when I was a little girl.”

Jessup revved up the engine, and they took off. May let out a loud war hoop as the wind blew back her hair.  The Chevelle navigated the road smoothly. On the straightaway Jessup topped ninety miles an hour. He glanced at May for some sign of fear but she looked like a kid on a rollercoaster, loving every minute.  They slowed as they made it to the beach.

“Turn left up this hill,” May said.

“I can’t,” Jessup replied. “It says ‘private property.’”

“It is private property. My father owns it. Turn in and drive to the top of the hill. I want to show you something.”

“There’s an electronic gate blocking us. Do you have the key code?”

“Punch in one-one-zero-nine,” she said. “That’s my birthday, November nine.”

Jessup punched in the numbers and the gate came to life, opening on its own.  He smiled and drove through. They followed a winding road up a rolling hill. The night was clear. Every star in the sky was poking through the dark sky.

“Turn here,” May said.

They were near the top of the hill as Jessup rolled to a stop near a guard rail. When he killed the engine, he could hear the ocean’s waves crashing against rocks below the hill. The moon was full. Off in the distance, a lighthouse glowed in a soft amber. There was a slight breeze which Jessup found comfortable but didn’t know how May felt about it.

“Are you cold?” he asked. “Want me to put the top up?”

“No, this is perfect,” she said. “I love it.”

“Wow, this is amazing,” he said. “Look at that view.  No big city lights washing away the night sky. The ocean… the moonlight.”

“I haven’t been up here since I was a little girl,” May said. “My dad bought this property intending to build a dream house here. He never got around to it.”

“Why not?”

May shrugged, “He was always comfortable in the house he had.”

“There’s something to be said for that.”

Jessup chuckled.

“What’s so funny?” she asked.

“The wind wreaked havoc on your hair,” he said.

She chuckled, “I don’t care right now. I want to enjoy this perfect evening. It’s beautiful.”

“You’re beautiful,” he said.

May smiled and touched his right hand; it had been resting on the gearshift. She stroked his hand with her fingertips.

Jessup leaned over and kissed her. His mouth felt warm and moist. She allowed the kiss to linger. The more it lingered, the more she didn’t want it to end.

“So, I see you’ve broken in the engine,” May said with a impish grin. “Have you ever broken in the back seat?”

“I like you with a buzz and an adrenaline rush,” he said.

“You didn’t answer my question,” she said.

“Why no ma’am I have not broken in the back seat,” he replied, somewhat embarrassed.

She smiled and opened the car door, stepping out.  She reached behind her and unzipped her dress. Jessup sat there, eyes and mouth wide open.

“Well…” she asked. “Am I going to be the only one naked?”

Jessup shook his head and sprang into action. Two minutes later both were in the back seat, naked, side-by-side kissing each other deeply. She allowed her fingers to roam south, over his tummy and lower. When they found his manhood, she paused and gasped.

“Wow,” she said. “I wasn’t expecting…”

She stopped mid-sentence and chuckled.

“What’s the matter?” Jessup asked.

“Nothing. I was just thinking of how jealous Suzie and Anna Bell would be if they could see me now.”

“Who is Suzie and Anna Bell?” Jessup asked.

“They are two of the many women in town who lust after you on a daily basis,” she replied.

“I’ve never heard of…” Jessup began.

“Shut up,” May said, kissing him again. Jessup moaned as May stroked him.

“You like that, do you?” she asked.

“Oh yes,” he replied. “I must admit, I did not figure you to be the…”

“The aggressive type?” she finished.

“There’s something about you, Mr. Jessup,” she said. “I knew it from the moment I laid eyes on you. Do you feel it, too?”

“Why do you think I left a note on your car that I was certain would draw a visit from you?”

“You could have any woman in Oceanside.”

“I don’t want any other woman. I want you.”

She smiled. She slid her right leg over his waist and moved her body over him, straddling him. When she lowered herself, he slid into her easily. They both moaned in unison.

May wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him warmly and deeply. Jessup positioned his hands over her buttocks and gently guided her up and down, slowly, passionately.

“You’re such a hunk,” she said to him.

“Why, thank you,” he replied. “You’re pretty all right yourself.”

“Do you like this?” she asked, moving her hips a little faster.

“Oh my god, yes,” he answered breathlessly.

May continued to move her hips up and down, allowing him to ease in and out of her. She gasped again and arched her back. Jessup slid his hands from her buttocks to her breasts, cupping them. She moaned when he ran his thumbs over her nipples.

May quickened the pace when she sensed Jessup was close to orgasm. She came first. It was loud. He followed ten seconds later, stiffening his back and moaning lowly.

She kissed him again. It was wet and warm. They kissed for another minute before she sat up, with him still inside her.

“That was intense,” he said.

“No kidding,” she replied. She kissed his cheeks and neck, basking in an afterglow.

“Jessup, I’m going to fight them.”

“Good,” he replied.

“I want your help,” she added. “I can’t do this alone.”

“What do you want me to do?”

“I have an idea,” she said. “But I want to know if I put myself out there and lay it all on the line, you’ll be there to help me.”

He kissed her, “I pushed you in this direction. Whatever you need. I’m with you.”

“Will you come back to the house and stay with me tonight?” she asked. “Those men know who I am. They know where my father lives.”

“I understand,” he said. “If they do come back, know this—I’m rather energized myself.”

She chuckled momentarily and then froze.

“Ohh,” she said.  She looked down at Jessup, “Oh, my god. I just felt… Are you getting hard again?”

He shrugged and arched his hips sliding himself deeper inside her, “Like I said, I’m energized.”

“I like you… energized.”
