No Good (Good Intentions Book 1) by Kayla Carson (8)

Chapter 8

Take me home. Three words with more power than any others, and they were just muttered by the most beautiful woman in the room. If the woman was anyone other than Zoe Cruz, I would be carrying her out cave man style with a shit eating grin on my face, but Zoe deserved better. Sure, I could take her back to her place, and we could hook up, but that wouldn't change anything. I was still moving out on Monday, and she was still my best friend's little sister.

“Wes?” She said again, lifting her head to look at me this time. “Did you hear me?”

“You know I did.” I said, brushing her cheek with my hand.

“So? What do you say soldier?” She teased, raising her eyebrows expectantly.

“I'm leaving Monday.” I said, in an attempt to sway her.

Her eyes widened, and she took a step away from me. “You're going back to Iraq?” She asked quietly.

“No.” I answered quickly, pulling her back against me, her hands resting on my chest. “My offer was accepted on the house, so I thought I'd stay with Cole until I can move it.”

“So why not make the most of the weekend?” She asked, placing her hands back around my neck, and inching her lips closer, and closer to mine. “I'm dying to know what bad decisions taste like.” She whispered, her lips brushing against mine in a soft invitation. I only hesitated for a moment, before capturing her mouth with mine, fully exploring the sweetness there. My hands moved from her waist to her hips, and I had to stop myself from going any further. I could feel her body pressing against mine, and I knew then that I wouldn't be able to tell her no. So I didn't. I broke the kiss, took her hand in mine, and led her out of the building to find the valet.

There was an awkward silence as we waited, even though her hand was still firmly in mine. When the valet tossed me the keys, I helped Zoe into the car, and got behind the drivers seat. I felt like I owed her an out, so when the turn came that led to her house, I passed it. I felt her eyes on me, silently questioning my plans, but she never said a word. Just placed her hand over mine on the gear shift, and smiled.

I drove for nearly twenty minutes, before reaching my intended destination. The kids used to call it make out point, but no one's used it for that purpose in years. Infact there wasn't a single soul here tonight, and for that I was grateful. Putting the car into park, I shut off the ignition, and turned to face her. “I'm no good for you, Zoe.” I said honestly. “I've done a lot of shit I'm not proud of, and hurting you, and Jake isn't something I want to add to that list.”

“Are you attracted to me?” She asked.

“You know I am.”

“We're both consenting adults, who would we be hurting?”

“You said yourself, that you and I, we're Jake's rocks. I can't betray him like that. As beautiful as you are, and as much as I would love to rip you out of that gown, and take you right here right now on the hood of this damn car, I just.. can't” I said, with evident anger.

I hadn't meant for it to come out as harsh as it did, but I couldn't help it. She was putting me in an impossible position, but I couldn't blame her, not really. I'd offered to go to this damn gala, and I'd enjoyed every god damned minute of pretending she was mine. I'd brought this on myself, and I had to stop it before it went too far. “You deserve someone who can love you, and take care of you. I'm not that man.”

“What if I want to be taken care of right now?” She whispered, lifting her arm to pull down the zipper on side of her dress.

I watched as the zipper lowered, stopping just at her waist. It was then that I realized she wasn't wearing a bra, and as she rolled the top of her dress down, exposing her perfect breasts to me, I couldn't help but stare.

“Don't you want me?” She asked, her voice full of need, and vulnerability.

“Not like this.” I gritted out, reaching over to cover her breasts with her dress once again. “You don't know me Zoe.” I argued, placing my hands on the steering wheel, and laying my head on top of them. “You would regret this. Me. I can promise you that.”

“What have you done that makes you think you're so damn unredeemable?” She asked, anger rising in her own voice. “And what gives you the right to tell me what I would regret? You don't know me either Weston Granger!” She added, reaching for her zipper in frustration, trying to right her dress.

“Here.” I offered, reaching towards her. “Let me help you.”

“No.” She said, batting my hands away stubbornly. “Take me home.”

This time those same three words had a completely different meaning. I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I thought I was doing the right thing by pushing her away, but if that was the case why the fuck did it feel so wrong. I started the car, and when we were back on the main road, I cleared my throat. “I killed someone.” I said nonchalantly, just like I was telling her about another day at camp.

“In Iraq?” She questioned.

“No. In California. I was sixteen years old, and my foster brother Cole, he was ten. We had a real piece of work for a foster father, I walked in on him one night... he was with Cole on top of him. I grabbed Cole's baseball bat from the dresser, and I swung. Even when that bastard stopped moving, I kept swinging. Cole took the blame. They called it self defense, but it wasn't. I killed the bastard. With no remorse.”

“You saved your brother. I would have done the same thing.” She reasoned.

“You would have killed a man?”

“For Jake? In a heartbeat. Is that supposed to make me scared of you?”

“No... I don't know. I just, I've done a lot of shit over the years, and you.. you're just so.. you work with under priveliged kids for fucks sake. Hell, if someone like you had been around when I was growing up maybe I'd have turned out better.”

“Better? You've served your country. You've paid your debt to society for whatever bull shit you may have done in your past, which by the way has nothing to do with you sleeping with me, and everything to do with you being afraid of my brother.”

“I'm not afraid of Jake.” I said, pulling the car into the garage and shutting off the ignition.

“No? Then prove it.” She countered, unfastening her seatbelt.

I knew what she was doing. When a woman says “make me” that's code for “fuck the shit out of me until I can't walk or talk straight.” Prove it was close enough, and damn if I wasn't turned the fuck on by it. Exiting the car, I approached the passenger side, opening the door for her. When I was sure her dress was free from the door, I closed it behind her, swiftly finding the zipper on her dress and giving it a tug, before watching it pool to the garage floor. She stood before me in nothing but a pair of six inch heels, and a white thong. Before she had the chance to stop me, I picked her up, and tossed her over my shoulder, giving her ass a firm slap in the process.

She squealed, at the contact, but stayed quiet as I carried her through the kitchen, and up the stairs to my bedroom. When we neared the bed, I laid her down gently, drinking her in, as I shrugged my jacket off, then my shirt. My shoes were next, followed by my belt, and slacks. I watched as she kicked her heels off, licking her lips, inspecting my body standing before her, my erection already announcing it's arrival in a big way.

Not wasting any time, I kneeled on the end of the bed, crawling toward her, until my body hovered over hers. I heard her breath hitch in her throat as I bent down to capture her lips in a kiss that felt like molten lava. Hot, and carnal, and full of longing. Her hands found their way to my back, and she pulled at me, begging my body to touch hers, to feel my erection against her needy core. Instead, I pulled away, the look she gave me was one of confusion, until I reached for her panties, ripping the delicate material in two and tossing the scrap behind me.

I moved back down her body, placing my hands under her thighs, and without giving her a moments notice, I dipped my head down into heaven. She was already wet, and I had never tasted anything so sweet. I flicked her swollen clit with the tip of my tongue enticing small moans from deep in the back of her throat. Her hands quickly found my head, urging me on, as I lapped at her dripping juices and devoured her. I increased my speed, switching from licking, to sucking, until she began to grind her hips against my face. My hands found her perfect ass, cupping the cheeks, changing the angle, and giving me a prime positon to make her completely fall apart around me, and with a few more flicks from my tongue, that's exactly what she did.
