Not So Casual: Part 2: Bre & Collin #2 (Power Play Series Book 14) by Kelly Harper (12)

Chapter Fifteen

Bre’s jaw dropped when she discovered where Collin was taking her.

“This place has a theater?” she shouted, disbelievingly.

Collin beamed at her.

She didn’t know how it was possible that she’d missed it while walking all around the mansion, but she was definitely staring at the entrance to a movie theater—complete with a ticket booth, movie posters, terrible carpeting, and everything. There was a tiny lobby, just inside, complete with a concession stand. Bre looked around in amazement as Collin fired up the popcorn machine and threw a few hotdogs on a rolling grill.

“This place really is insane,” she said. “You know that, right?”

“I would have brought you here earlier if I’d known you like movies so much.”

“Are you kidding? I grew up on movies!” She cringed when she realized what she’d said. “Is that one of those things I’m not supposed to tell you?”

Collin shook his head, still beaming.

“Don’t worry about it. I’m just glad you like it. After everywhere we’ve gone today, I thought it would be nice to spend the evening hiding ourselves away.”

“I couldn’t agree more.”

They grabbed drinks and snacks and made their way into the theater, where Bre promptly had another meltdown.

Just like anyone would expect, there was a huge screen on the far wall. At the back of the room were two rows of seating. The far back row had recliner seats while the front row had nice executive chairs pulled up to a bar. She imagined it was perfect for anyone who wanted to enjoy a meal while watching a movie.

But none of that was what really set this place apart. What really jumped out at her was the area where all of the other aisles of seating should be

The entire center of the theater was open and looked like it was made of a giant, fluffy pillow. Haphazardly arranged on it were all types of cushions, pillows, and even tiny tables. Bisecting the playful cushioned area and the two rows in the back was the largest couch Bre had ever seen. But it didn’t look like a regular couch. Instead, it looked like it had been made out of a single, huge beanbag chair. She didn’t even know where to begin.

Thankfully, Collin took the lead and kicked off his shoes before walking onto the gigantic play area—she had no idea what else to call it—where he set their snacks on one of the tiny tables. She joined him while he turned on the digital entertainment system that controlled the theater. The enormous screen showed an endless listing of movies to choose from.

It was all so overwhelming that Bre agreed when Collin suggested an eighties movie called War Games with Matthew Broderick. She’d seen it a few times as a kid but didn’t really remember much about it. Not that she could really pay attention to the movie with all of the peaceful excitement running through her. Sitting there watching movies with Collin was the absolute perfect ending to what might have been one of the best days of her life.

They moved to the huge bean bag couch for the second movie. It was even more comfortable than it looked! Since it was Bre’s turn to pick, she went with her all-time favorite—though she was good and kept that fact to herself—Gone In Sixty Seconds. As the movie played, the energy between them dwindled like a candle nearing the end of its wick. They’d had a long day and exhaustion was consuming both of them.

Before falling asleep Bre wondered what life would be like in New York City if she and Collin were actually dating. Based on her day with him, she imagined it would include a lot of wild and crazy sex all over the city. But after sharing this intimate night with him she couldn’t help but wonder if there could be a whole lot more between them than just sex.

More questions bothered her… Was she really going to be able to walk away from him when this was all over? Or was she going to do something about it?

Bre didn’t even know what she could do. She’d never been in this kind of situation before. Everything she felt was foreign to her, and after her day of wild and crazy sex with Mr. Rules, she was way too exhausted to answer any of those questions.

She needed to sleep on it. Hopefully that would give her the time she needed to process things. She knew she was in for more vivid dreams that night, she just hoped they didn’t torment her too much
