Paranormal Dating Agency: Heavenly Scents (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Silver Streak Pack Book 2) by A K Michaels (15)

Connie huffed as she carried the box into the cottage, her back sore and her feet even worse. Damn it, this was hell. Pure hell. She couldn’t take much more of this and if she had to . . . well, she just couldn’t.

Rocky rushed toward her, his eyes wide, and his tone sharp. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

“Excuse me?” she snarled back. Her temper rising. She had a short fuse today and he had no right to talk to her like that. No right whatsoever. “Who do you think you’re talking to?”

“I’m talking to you, baby.” He hauled the package from her arms, placing it on the floor and taking her into his arms. “What were you thinking? You shouldn’t be carrying that, it’s too heavy.”

“I got the card saying there was a package at the post office,” she moaned, leaning against him. “I went to get it. How was I to know it was that big?”

“All you had to do was call and I would’ve come . . . right?” He leaned back, raising an eyebrow.

“Well, yeah, but I was there already and you were here working.”

“I still would’ve come and you know it.” He smirked down at her. “But you’re headstrong and stubborn and you’re grumpy today. So, why don’t I try and help with that?”

“Grumpy? I’m grumpy?” She scowled up at him, knowing he was right. Shit, she’d been grumpy for days.

“Yes, grumpy. But I can help.” He smiled cheekily, his hands running up and down her back.

“How? How can you help.” She tilted her head, relaxing already as his touch calmed her.

“You know how . . . does this feel good?” His head lowered, his lips kissing along her throat and sending jolts of pleasure through her body and causing her to gasp.

“Hmm, that doesn’t feel so bad,” she admitted.

“What about this?” he asked as his hands slid her dress up, cupping her ass and kneading her before slipping inside her panties, one at the front and one at the back to work their magic on her.

“Oh god, Rocky. Move away from the windows, anyone coming back here will see.”

“Shh, how does that feel?” He slipped a finger inside and his thumb ran small circles around her clit, her moans escaping unbidden as she clung to his shirt.

“Shit!”

“Good? Do you feel better?” Rocky murmured as he kissed the top of her head.

“Don’t you damn well stop,” she gasped as he carried on.

He chuckled. “I don’t plan to, baby.”

She ground against his hands as he brought her higher, pleasure rippling through her and building inside her. He was a master at work. He knew her body so well and continued to work her into a mess of desire. All other thoughts flew from her mind, nothing else mattered but what his magical hands were doing to her, his fingers inside her, others on her clit, rubbing, thrusting, and she could feel her own juices flowing from her as her orgasm came ever closer. It was going to be huge . . . she could feel it growing, growing . . . a cascade of overflowing sensations invading her body until finally it exploded inside her and she screamed his name against his chest as her legs gave out.

Rocky’s arm behind her moved so fast, grabbing her and holding her upright as she rode the wave of delight, the one at the front still flicking her mercilessly to wring every last marvel of desire from her body. He was her mate and knew how to achieve every last delicious moment from her orgasm out of her. She was a sopping mess in his arms when she was finally done, with Rocky cradling her on his knee on the sofa, and cooing her name as she came down from the endorphin high.

She couldn’t even remember him moving them! Damn, he was good.

“Feeling better?” he asked.

“Hmm, hmm,” she mumbled, reaching up to tangle her fingers in his hair. “Sorry for being a grump.”

“That’s okay. I know it’s . . .”

“Shit! Rocky . . . let me up . . . now!”

He shot to his feet, placing her on the floor a split second before a gush of water shot out between her legs. “Damn,” she cried out, placing a hand on her engorged belly. “Looks like my water just broke.”

Rocky grinned, his arm around her waist. “At last! I thought our son was never going to make an appearance.”

Connie turned to look up at him, smiling. “I know. I can’t wait to meet him, darling. Our own little . . . heck, what will he be? A Lion and Wolf mix?”

“Connie, he’ll be our son. Plain and simple. Whatever he turns out to be won’t matter. He’ll be our son to love.”

She nodded, knowing everything was going to be just fine. With Rocky at her side how could it not?

Gerri sat back, grinning. “So, what’s the latest? And what’s this?”

Theron placed a box emblazoned with Heavenly Scents on the worktop, the delicious aroma filling the kitchen and making her mouth water. “This is a present from Rocky, he asked me to drop it off. And Connie’s almost due with Rocky walking about behind her like she’s a piece of fine china about to shatter into a million pieces. It’s so damn cute to see them together, Aunt Gerri, we did something good.”

She sipped her coffee, raising an eyebrow over her cup before setting her nephew straight. “We? We did nothing. It was my skills, Theron, darling. I merely used you to start things rolling, it was my fantabulous abilities that knew they were soulmates, darling boy. But I’m happy for them, very happy indeed. Another success for the Paranormal Dating Agency, even if it was a freebie.”

Theron chuckled, shaking his head. “Freebie? It wasn’t exactly a freebie for me. I had to pay for that huge order, remember?”

“Semantics, Theron, and you made Talia happy when you arrived home with a trunk full of delicious delights from the bakery . . . did you not?”

“Happy? Heck, she was over the dang moon. She was very inventive in showing me just how happy she was.” Theron grinned wickedly.

Gerri waved her hand over at her nephew. “Away with you, leave me in peace so I can delve into this box and see what Rocky’s sent me. Whatever’s in there, it smells divine and I plan on putting my feet up and enjoying them all by myself . . . no sharing, Theron, so off you go.”

“I’ve got my own in the car. I’ve got to get going anyway, Talia’s waiting on her fix. I’ll see you soon, Gerri.”

“Bye, Theron . . . oh, remember to let me know about Connie,” Gerri shouted after him as he opened the front door.

“Sure,” he replied as he left.

She slid a long red nail under the lid of the box, opening it slowly to reveal the contents of a selection of baked goods, each one looking and smelling as delicious as the one next to it. “Oh yummy, thanks Rocky,” she muttered as she reached in and snagged the one nearest and settled down to enjoy the delights that the Lion shifter had baked. The first mouthful elicited a moan from her and she knew without a doubt the name of his bakery was perfect if each of his creations tasted like this . . . Heavenly.
