Peach Tree Love: Gay Romance by Trina Solet (28)

Chapter 28

The yard sale was over and everything that was left was going to be picked up by Mr. Miller and taken to a charity thrift store in Ashbury. Mitch and Rico were waiting for him in front so they could help him load his truck.

Sammy was inside, giving the kittens some extra attention since they had to stay indoors this whole time. Grandma came over to talk to Mitch. "Thank you for all the help today. Just add it to your hours."

"This was for charity. I won't be charging you for today," Mitch told her.

"Oh, go ahead. You're worth every penny. The yard sale was a success," she told him but Mitch still shook his head. Grandma then tapped her chin and looked toward the house. "I've been thinking. You have the place more or less in order. It's time for a housewarming."

"We still have some painting to do downstairs," Mitch reminded her.

"You can have the party out here. Have a few people over. Sammy can play with all the kids. You can meet your neighbors," she said.

"I've met a lot of people already, and I don't even live here," Mitch told her. He just wasn't a party guy, but Grandma wasn't going to let that stop her.

"You do for now. Be neighborly," she urged him.

"If you like," he said, but it was clear that he was just doing what a client wanted.

"That's the spirit. I'll send out the invites." Grandma then went off, and Rico sat on the steps. Mitch didn't though. He paced back and forth in front of him and wouldn't look at him.

This wasn't about the party though. Rico could tell something else was making him tense, maybe even angry, and he dreaded asking him about it. He went ahead and did it anyway. "What's on your mind?"

"Are you staying over tonight?" Mitch asked.

"Sure," Rico said. He was relieved Mitch was asking instead of telling him he should go, that he wasn't wanted.

Mitch nodded, but he didn't look like he was happy about the answer. Right now his face was unreadable, his shoulders hunched. Whatever was weighing on him, he didn't want to talk about it now. It looked like Mitch was waiting until tonight to blow up at him. Great.

That night, after Sammy was in bed, Rico paced the rose sitting room. He didn't even bother getting ready for bed. It was like he expected Mitch to kick him out on his ass or something.

What scared him more was that Mitch might be gearing up to tell him he would be leaving soon, maybe right after the Peach Festival. Rico hoped that wasn't it.

But how could he feel like he was on steady ground with Mitch when the man thought he was straight until now. He might decide to go back to thinking he was straight and to forget all about Rico. Forget what they did and even that he ever met him in some nowheresville called Peach Tree.

When Mitch finally arrived, he knocked, came in and closed the door quietly behind him. Rico was all wound up and Mitch looked grim.

"I can't believe you made me wait all day. Are you trying to drive me crazy?" Rico asked him.

Mitch seemed surprised by his reaction. "I didn't mean to do that. I was just trying to get my thoughts in order, or my feelings. I don't know."

"Thoughts and feelings about what?" Rico asked.

"About you and Sam and Wyatt. If I have any right to get jealous or any reason." Mitch sighed and rubbed his hand through his hair. "I don't know what I'm supposed to feel."

That was the whole problem with him. And if he didn't know what was going on inside him, how was Rico supposed to figure it out?

"You feel what you feel. Just spit it out," Rico told him.

"I didn't like seeing you messing around with Sam and Wyatt," Mitch finally stated with a frown.

"Messing with people is what I do. It's not like I want to have a threesome with them. But if you have an identical twin lying around somewhere, I might consider it," Rico told him.

Mitch laughed in defeat. "I know there isn't anything going on. Maybe I'm just not used to guys showing affection for each other so freely," Mitch allowed. "I'm not saying you need to change who you are. I don't want to pen you in. I don't want you to feel like you're missing out because I'm uptight and don't want to think of you with any other guy."

Mitch was struggling, still trying to find his footing, and that wasn't the end of the world. Looking at him now as he tried to express himself, Rico was just relieved it wasn't anything worse than a little jealousy. Hell, he was guilty of that himself.

"I don't mind as long as you know you have nothing to worry about," Rico told him. "And I'm only missing out if I'm not with you."

"Oh, OK," Mitch said and he looked shy, like one of them said too much, or maybe they both did.

But Rico wanted to say even more. "You're incredible." He placed his hands on his chest and looked into his blue eyes. Then he pushed Mitch until he stepped back. The backs of his legs hit the small sofa, and he had no choice but to sit down on it. Rico smiled down at him then climbed on so he could straddle his lap.

Kissing his way over the column of Mitch's throat, brushing his lips over the beard along his jaw, Rico whispered in his ear how much he wanted him and only him. Mitch growled his name and captured his mouth with a bruising kiss.

Standing up, Mitch lifted him then lowered him to the floor. Mitch's knees were on either side of him as he leaned down. With his hands threaded through Rico's hair, Mitch kissed him again and made him lose his mind.

The kiss left Rico fighting for breath as his hands groped their way under Mitch's clothes. Tearing open his fly, Rico reached inside and found him hard. He moaned at the feel of him. Then he had to bite back an even louder moan as Mitch unzipped him and exposed his rock-hard cock.

Rico fondled his incredible erection, in love with it, but Mitch wouldn't let him play. He got Rico's hand out of the way and shifted to line up their cocks.

Rico cursed, reaching for him, rubbing his powerful chest. Pushing him down firmly with one hand, Mitch gripped their cocks together with the other.

The sensation made Rico's back arch right off the floor. Mitch's cock sliding over his, hard and slick made him insane with arousal. He fought for breath and kicked his feet, digging his heels into the floor. Rico was struggling like he wanted to escape, but all he wanted was to stay in that heated grip.

Looking down at him with hooded eyes, Mitch moaned as he hunched his powerful body over their cocks and pumped them with his fist. Just watching him as he did that almost sent Rico into an oblivion of bliss. But he hung on, moaned through shivers of pleasure, and forced himself to wait because he was dying to come together with Mitch.

They both came hard all over Rico's t-shirt and he had to take it off. Taking advantage of his exposed state, Mitch kissed his way from one nipple to the other then rested his head on Rico's chest.

As they lay like that and Rico stroked his back, Mitch warned him, "I'm going to have to go up soon."

"That's too bad. I like you close. This close," Rico said and he hugged him. Mitch laughed against him then pushed himself up.

Looking up into those beautiful, blue eyes Rico sighed. "You'll be missed," he told him and sat up to give him one final kiss.
