Rainhorse The Return: Brotherhood Protectors World by Jesse Jacobson, Brotherhood Protectors World (9)

Chapter 9

Monday late morning: Ft. Peck Indian Reservation

Lindsay pecked on the bedroom door, hoping Yellow Wolf would answer, but it was Red Feather who opened the door. She was holding a serving tray.

“Hi,” he said. The disappointment on Lindsay’s face did not escape him.

“Good morning. I brought you a glass of sweet tea,” she said, stealing a glance over Red’s shoulder. “Neha said you liked sweet tea.”

Red smiled, “We love sweet tea,” he said, taking the tray from her. “Thank you.”

“How are you boys settling in?” Lindsay asked. “I’m sorry the room is so small.”

“We’ve both slept in much smaller quarters and in far worse conditions,” he said. “At least we have twin beds.”

Lindsay chuckled, “Yeah, that’s a good thing. I offered to give up my room. It’s larger, but this was the one that had its own bathroom and two beds.”

“This is fine,” Red said.

“Do you need anything?”

“No, we’re good.”

“How about Matty?”

“What about Matty?”

“Does he need anything?”

“I’m sure he’s fine. He’s in the bathroom, now.”

The bathroom door opened just as Red finished his sentence. Mathias Yellow Wolf emerged, wearing nothing but a towel around his waist.  Lindsay’s eyes widened as she took in the features of the stunning Cheyenne.

Yellow Wolf was tall, maybe an inch shorter than Jackson. The young Cheyenne's long hair was sopping wet from the shower but still hung in thick, straight strands across his wide shoulders and a muscular chest, tapering into a small waistline and narrow hips. His arms, thighs and calves would have made even the most ardent bodybuilder jealous.

He strode across the room unaware that Lindsay was standing in the doorway speaking with Red Feather. When he reached the bed, he stood for a moment with his back to the bedroom door and then dropped his towel to the floor.

Lindsey gasped when she glimpsed the young Cheyenne’s smooth, rock hard buttocks.

“Matty, Lindsay is here,” Red Feather said.

“Huh?” Yellow Wolf replied, turning around.

“Oh... my... god!” Lindsay burst out.

“Holy shit!” Yellow Wolf barked. He turned his back to them and reached down for the towel, repositioning it but not before flashing Lindsay a full-frontal view of his genitalia. “I’m so sorry.”

Red Feather began laughing. Lindsay put her left hand over her eyes but more in a saluting position rather than blocking her vision.

“I’m sorry,” she said, her face as red as a Gala apple. “Well, enjoy your tea... I...  uh... need to go.”

Lindsay turned and left. She literally ran away from the bedroom.

She could hear Red Feather laughing and speaking to Yellow Wolf, “Dude, that was funny.”

In the kitchen, she met Neha, who was walking toward her, “What happened?” Neha asked. “I thought I heard yelling. Did you scream?”

Lindsay drew in a deep breath, her eyes still as wide as saucers. “I took them tea. Matty came out from the bathroom wearing only a towel. He didn’t see me and...”

“Dropped the towel?” Neha asked.

Lindsay nodded, “Like a stone.”

“And you saw all of it?”

Lindsay nodded.

“In all its glory?” Neha continued.

A wide grin of embarrassment formed on her face, “In all its magnificent glory,” she amended.

Neha gasped then chuckled, “I’ll bet that was awkward.”

“Immeasurably,” Lindsay replied.

“What did you say?” Neha asked.

“I said, ‘Nice ass,’”

Neha’s mouth gaped open, “You did not.”

“I didn’t,” Lindsay confirmed. “I told him I was sorry and bolted out of there.”

Neha’s eyes averted. Lindsay turned to see what she was looking at.  Yellow Wolf, now clothed, was standing in the doorway, long enough to hear the “nice ass” comment. His face bore a look of shock, looking frozen in place, holding his glass of tea.

“Oh, Jesus,” Lindsay said.

“I’m sorry to interrupt,” he said, “but I need to apologize.”

Lindsay looked back to Neha not knowing what to say.

“I need to do… something... outside,” Neha said.

“What is so important... now?” Lindsay asked, shooting her a glance that said, ‘Don’t leave me.’

“I don’t know,” Neha replied, “but whatever it is, it’s not here.”

Lindsay gave her one more pleading look. Neha shrugged as if to say, ‘You’re on your own.’

Neha left the kitchen, “You don’t owe me an apology, Matty. I owe you one,” Lindsay said.

“That’s not true,” Yellow Wolf replied. “I am a guest in this house and should be more careful.”

“When you came out of the bathroom in the towel, I could have cleared my throat or looked away or something.”

“Red could've said something,” Yellow Wolf said.

Lindsay thought for a second and nodded in agreement, “What do you say we both blame Red and call it good?”

He smiled, flashing a perfect set of white teeth, “I’m for that.”

Lindsay looked at him and returned his smile, “So, now that's out of the way, want to sit and finish your sweet tea? I want to hear all about you.”

Yellow Wolf smiled.
