Saving His Omega: An M/M Omegaverse Mpreg Romance (Delta Squad Alphas Book 3) by Eva Leon (1)

Chapter Two

Damien

Oh Goddess, my head pounded. I was too hungover to be dealing with a hostage situation. The only problem was that I was the hostage, and I didn’t have much choice. All I wanted was a whiskey.

No, make that three whiskeys. Neat. I wanted them all lined up in a row in front of me. That would make the pounding in my head go away. It would restore me to my gloriously brilliant self, and I could figure out how to get out of the situation I’d found myself in that night.

“You guys are making a huge mistake,” I said to my captors.

There were two hulking Alphas with zero sense of humor, and two Omegas who had even less. It was good that they weren’t personally invested in me. That meant there wasn’t any emotion involved in what was going on around me.

They were professionals. That meant there was a chance I would make it out of the situation alive. If I could keep my mouth shut.

Fat chance. “Hey, party poopers. My company doesn’t pay ransoms so Black Sun can go fuck themselves.” Goddess dammit, Damien.

Part of me began to wish that I hadn’t drunk so much the night before. It’s not like I could have known that I’d be taken hostage, but perhaps it was the perfect example of how unprepared I was for my own life. I’d never even considered that something bad could happen to me, and that was naïve, if not completely stupid.

Money and my father had bailed me out my entire life but now I had no one. My fortune wasn’t going to help me either because, like I told the grumpy Alphas, my company wasn’t going to pay them shit. Not even for me. I’d set it up that way to keep the exact thing that was happening from happening. I guess Black Sun hadn’t gotten the memo.

I wished for a moment that I could pay something for the Omega scientists. It pained me to no end that they could wind up dead too. There wasn’t much I could do to protect them, but I had to try.

That’s when the Alphas decided to teach me that death might not be the worst thing that could befall us. I’d thought they were professionals, but I was wrong. Whoever had sent these particular psychopaths to do this job should be fired.

“Hey, while were waiting for the boss, maybe we should have some fun with a couple of those Omegas,” the big one with dark hair said.

Two of the scientists started to cry, and one sat there with a pale face that looked like he’d gone into shock. Power corrupted, that was for sure. Some Alphas couldn’t resist the urge to hurt Omegas when they had the opportunity. They couldn’t resist their urge to take without asking.

I wouldn’t stand for that. I’d been hurt plenty by Alphas in the past; what was a little more? If I could call attention to myself, maybe they’d be satisfied. I was an unbonded Omega, after all, and the three scientists in the room with me all had mates.

“That’s right. You guys should have some fun with those terrified Omegas. I’m sure it’ll make you feel like big, strong Alphas,” I said.

All three of the scientists’ eyes went as wide as saucers and they did their best to back even further into the corner. It was almost as if I could see their hearts pounding in their chests. They needed to calm down. Their fear was only arousing the Alphas even more.

Sick bastards.

“You wouldn’t have any fun with me anyway. I’m sure both of you together and your little Omega sidekicks couldn’t handle me. I’d probably give you a heart attack.”

“I’m probably going to give you a mouthful of broken teeth,” the big one with the blond hair said. “You need to shut up before I make you shut up.”

“Oh yeah, big boy? How are you going to do that?” I asked. “If you think your cock is big enough to break teeth, you’re probably delusional. Who told you it was that big? Was it your mom?”

His face went so red I thought he’d probably busted a blood vessel. But I’d definitely diverted the attention away from the other hostages and onto myself. Whatever happened to me, I could live with myself for another day.

If I lived.

The blond one looked at the dark haired one. The dark haired one shrugged. “Do what you gotta do, man. I wouldn’t let a pissant little Omega like that talk to me that way.”

With that, the blond one crossed the room and grabbed me by the hair. He signaled for one of the Omegas with him to open the door to the next lab and then dragged me across the floor into the room. The pain in my scalp was intense but I didn’t scream. I wouldn’t give them that.
