Victoria watched Bradley walk away and tried to listen to what Ashley was telling her. Too bad that she was distracted by his perfect body as it made its way to the dressing room entrance.

“Earth to Victoria! Are you even listening to what I’m saying? Stop staring at him, you’re being too obvious!” Ashley was too excited to slow down.

Victoria turned to her and tried to pay attention. “Sorry, what did you say?”

“Oh, my, god. Did you see his cock?”

“Ashley!! That’s my date you’re talking about!” Victoria couldn’t help but laugh at Ashley.

“I know, but seriously! I am majorly jealous of you right now,” she said, cocking her head and raising an eyebrow.

“What can I say? He’s a stripper. It pretty much has to be impressive, I’d think. But yes, ummm, I was impressed, let’s just say that.” She smiled in spite of herself. It was a little weird that her friend was with her the first time she saw his package, but there had to be a first time for everything.

“Did you even know that he’s a stripper?” Ashley asked excitedly. “I assume you would have said something on the way here if you knew. Didn’t he drop any hints?” Her expression spoke of her approval, but also revealed a sense of incredulity.

“No, I honestly had no idea. I’m not sure I would have come, had I known. I mean, it’s not exactly my scene.”

“Come on, don’t be such a snob. It’s a perfectly fine way to spend a night out,” she protested. Then, backtracking, she said “I mean, once in a while, on a special occasion, of course.”

“Yeah, I know. It’s not exactly my first time at such an establishment,” she said, with a meaningful look at Ashley.

“Oh please, it’s not as if I have every single birthday party at a strip club,” she said with a playful pout.

“I know, I know.” Victoria laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

“Doesn’t it turn you on? At least a little bit? I mean, I have to admit that I’m a little jealous. You’re going home with him tonight, aren’t you?”

Victoria had a glint in her eye. “Well, yes, that’s the plan. But don’t get excited. It’s a one-time fling, and it’s not as if I’m gonna marry him. Can you imagine what my dad would say if I brought him home? It would be a nightmare. And what would the firm think?”

“Oh, please. Half the partners there are married to former dancers and even call girls, you know that. They have no right to judge you. And you shouldn’t care what they think, anyways. The heart wants what it wants. And if you fall in love, it shouldn’t be anyone’s business but yours.”

“Falling in love? That’s crazy talk, and you know it,” she said, as she glanced at the next dancer making his way to the stage. “The only thing that’s falling are my panties. Oh, and by the way, not a word of this to the girls. Ever!”

Ashley’s eyes widened. “Oh, come on! You’re not going to keep this a secret, are you? It’s just about the hottest thing ever!”

Victoria gave her a look that seemed to say ‘don’t even think about it’, but she simply said, “If I want to tell them what he does, I’ll do just that. But it’s my news to share if I choose to, ok?”

Ashley pouted, but nodded understandingly. She turned her attention to the stage, and Victoria was happy to finally get a reprieve from her friend’s line of questioning. She loved Ashley, she really did, but she wasn’t ready to answer most of her questions, especially when she didn’t know the answers herself. She knew she liked Bradley more than she wanted to, but she was hoping that one night with him would satisfy the craving and put an end to it. She knew from experience that she was fairly good at keeping sex and feelings separate, and hoped that this would be no different.

She watched the dancer on the stage with amusement. She couldn’t imagine it was that much fun to go up there, night after night. The novelty probably wore off pretty fast, and then there was what? The adulation and admiration of some women on Friday and Saturday night, some extra money, and what else? She didn’t want to judge, but she was questioning why he was doing this when he had a successful career in medicine awaiting him.

A few drinks and a few dancers later, Bradley was once again on his way up towards the stage, and Victoria watched him with bated breath. His movements were so fluid and so sexy that she couldn’t help but imagine what he’d be like one-on-one. She felt her heart thumping louder and louder as the music got faster. She caught herself biting her lip, but she didn’t care. This wasn’t a place for clutching pearls. His muscles tensed as he twisted his body in ways she’d never seen a man do before, and the crowd’s loud appreciation only confirmed her own conclusion: the man was probably a sex god.

Watching him gyrate on the stage was almost as good as actually having sex, she thought. She noticed her arousal, and it didn’t let up one bit. She did feel a twinge of something – maybe, just maybe it was jealousy – when he was giving girls some one-on-one moves, but she quickly dismissed the feeling. They didn’t belong to each other, and never would, so that shouldn’t even be on her radar.

She was almost relieved when his turn on the stage was finally over. She had worked herself into such a frenzy that she didn’t know how much longer she could stand it. The extent of her lust surprised her, but it shouldn’t have come as a shock – he was definitely hotter than any other man she’d been with or dated. It’s not that her exes and lovers weren’t attractive – quite the opposite. But none could compare to him.

Ashley kept nudging her while he danced, which Victoria found cute and annoying at the same time.

“You’re blushing!” Ashley said, teasing her.

“I’m not!” she said, but she knew it was most definitely true. The knowledge that she’d be going home with him that night – and the knowledge that Ashley knew it as well – made her super self-conscious while watching him.

She watched him as he left the stage, and he winked at her as he walked by, once again wrapped in a super small towel. His strong legs and six pack drove her crazy, and she couldn’t wait to get out of there with him.

They watched the next dance, but all Victoria could think about was Bradley, and what a contradiction he was. A medical student, and a stripper? A cocky jerk one minute, and a thoughtful date the next? Something didn’t add up, but she didn’t mind. It was all very exciting and she planned to keep it light-hearted and fun. It didn’t have to make sense for it to be fun.

She kept an eye on the dressing room door the whole time, and her heart skipped a beat each time it opened. Finally, he appeared, and made his way to their table, stopping now and then to say hi to people.

Arriving at their table, he pulled out a chair and sat down between Ashley and Victoria. He put an arm around Victoria and leaned in close. His touch made her shudder with desire, and she noticed jealous glances from several girls in the crowd, which only added to her excitement.

“So, when do you want to get out of here?” he asked her in a low voice. “We can pick up some good food on the way, and I have dessert at home,” he said with a wink.

She put a hand on his leg, leaning in to answer him. “I can use a delicious, sweet dessert, so anytime is fine with me. I think Ashley is done for the night, though,” she said, smiling and cocking her chin towards Ashley, whose eyes had glazed over. It was already 2am, and Victoria figured she must be exhausted after working all day. Sure enough, at one point her eyelids seemed to be stuck together, until Victoria gave her a gentle kick under the table.

“Ok, then. Let me go talk to my manager and I’ll meet you guys right outside. Sounds good?” He stood and helped both of them push their chairs back.

“Perfect,” Victoria said, and gave him a last meaningful look before he headed off to find his manager.

She turned to Ashley. “So, did you want to do anything else, or was that enough fun for the night?” They began walking towards the exit, ignoring the last dance of the night.

“Vic, I’m totally done for tonight. I can’t imagine having more fun. Well, unless one of these hotties wants to come home with me, that is,” she said, laughing and nudging Victoria.

“Ha! Maybe next time. If there is a next time.”

“Vic, of course there’ll be a next time. There has to be a next time! Your boyfriend works here, and it’s your obligation to come and support him while he toils away,” she said with an endless stream of giggles.

Victoria rolled her eyes, but laughed despite herself. “Sure, whatever you say, hon. Here, this is the way out,” she said, taking one look back. She frowned when she saw Bradley in what seemed to be a heated discussion with a man who must have been his manager. Curious to find out what was going on, she paused at the exit, but continued through the door, not wanting to draw attention to herself staring at them.

Back out on the street, she drew a deep breath of fresh air and wondered how long they would have to wait for Bradley. Ashley leaned against her, singing a random song. Victoria really did have to talk to her about her drinking. It bothered her that Ashley seemed to be overdoing it every time they went out. Usually, she followed a mind your own business philosophy, but this was her friend, and she wouldn’t just sit back and watch if her friend seemed to be in trouble. Now was not the time, though.

She heard the door swing open behind them and she turned just in time to see Bradley walk through it. She shuddered with desire at the sight of him. All she wanted to do was bury herself in his embrace, but that would have to wait as well. First, she had to get Ashley home safe and sound.

“Are you ready, ladies?” His deep voice always expressed such confidence and feeling of ease.

She smiled. “Yes, hon.”

“Ok, great. How did you guys get here? Did you bring a car? I hope not, since you’ve all been drinking.”

“No, we took a cab,” Victoria responded, while Ashley stood there with a goofy smile on her face.

“We don’t drink and drive, sir, no, that we won’t do,” Ashley said, and giggled. Victoria couldn’t stifle her laugh, and the pair giggled and laughed on, to Bradley’s amusement.

“Are you all done?” he asked.

Victoria gathered herself together. “Yeah, we’re done. And we’re ready.”

“Well, then, my car is this way.” He led them down a side street to where he parked his car, and as he opened the door for Victoria, he asked her in a low voice, “Are we dropping Ashley off first? Or did you guys want to grab a bite to eat all together?”

She leaned in, and catching him by surprise, gave him a firm kiss. “We’re dropping her off now.”
