The Alien's Lover (A SciFi Alien Warrior Romance) (Warriors of Luxiria Book 3) by Zoey Draven (21)

EPILOGUE

Two lunar cycles later

Lihvan growled, his luxiva’s generous backside rippling with every thrust he made.  His mate was on her hands and knees before him, heavy breasts swaying just beneath her, in time with his unrelenting rhythm.

He smoothed his hand down her back before gripping her hips, driving, pounding, deeper and harder.  His Instinct purred in satisfaction, as it always did when his mate was taking him from behind.  A primal position.  A dominant position.

“You feel so good, baby.  So good,” she gasped.  Ohh yes, yes, yes!  More!

And his luxiva loved it as well.

The Luxirians of the Kroratax outpost could probably hear them, but it was early enough that, hopefully, most would still be asleep.  As his mate had been before he’d woken her with his mouth between her thighs.

She called him relentless, but mated Luxirian males generally pursued sex with their partners at least three times a span.  At minimum.  At first, she hadn’t thought he was serious.  Soon, she realized that he had been, but his luxiva enjoyed their play just as much as he did.

The light from the rising suns cast his mate’s body in a golden glow and he watched their shadows move together on their furs.  Fucking, mating, loving, claiming.  He felt a familiar contracting in his varx, knew he was close to cumming.

He let out a rough growl and picked up his pace, rotating his hips in the way that Beks loved, hitting a place inside that she called her ‘G-spot.’

His female gave a strangled cry and then began cumming on his cock, her tight, hot cunt contracting, pulsing, trying to draw his seed from him, his greedy, greedy female.

Tev, luxiva, tev,” he grunted.  Brixav ta!” Take me, in Luxirian.  She was learning more and more of his language every day and she understood, shifting her hips back as he thrust forward.  He slammed so deep inside that he sometimes worried he might hurt her, but she seemed to need it, needed to feel him that deep, filling her, stretching her, possessing her.

Lihvan grit his jaw, trying to repress a roar that threatened to rise from his throat and failing.  His varx emptied, seed shooting up his shaft and pouring into his mate.

He continued to thrust as she moaned helplessly and it was only after he emptied every last drop of his cum into her, that they flopped back onto their sleeping platform, panting, energized.

It was his favorite way to start the morning.  The only way they ever did.

Beks sighed happily against him, her cheeks flushed, eyes bright and awake.  “I have to wash this set of furs again now,” she rasped.

Lihvan’s lips curled as he looked between them.  His chest rumbled in pleasure at the sight of their mess.  “I told you to bring whatever you need cleaned to Kervax.”

“Yeah, no.  I am not bringing our ‘love furs,’” he laughed when she made little quotations marks in time with her words, a purely human gestured he particularly enjoyed, “to your friend.  Talk about embarrassing.  I’d be over there at least four times a day.  Our poor hovercraft wouldn’t be able to keep up.”

“Kervax is used to it,” he told her.  His mate was private about sex, he realized.  She’d told him that humans tended to be.  But on Luxiria, those that were fortunate enough to have mates or pleasure partners, were unapologetic about it.  “He has a mate.  He understands.”

“That’s still a hard no,” she told him, leaning up on her elbow to give him a proper kiss good morning.

They’d just gotten back from the Golden City the night before.  Lihvan went more often now, so that his mate could see her best friend, who was truly more like family to her, on a more regular basis.  Kate and Vaxa’an also made more journeys out to Kroratax when they had time, so the two human females saw plenty of one another, much to their happiness.

Last lunar cycle, Lihvan had brought up the possibility of moving to the Golden City, so that she could be near Kate more often.  He could commute to Kroratax every other span, to see out his duties and responsibilities.  It would be difficult, but not impossible.

But his mate had told him, “Kroratax is your home, our home.  I would never ask you to leave it and I would never want to.  Thank you for even asking, love, but I couldn’t imagine leaving this place.”

To his contentment and happiness, his Beks had fallen in love with Kroratax from the moment she’d seen it.  To his confusion, she’d gushed, “It reminds of the Pacific Northwest, but, like, the alien version.”

Lihvan had shaken his head.  Sometimes he didn’t understand her references and he might never fully.  But she talked about how the weather was much cooler, the air fresher, not as hot.  She talked of the stillness and quietness of the mountain, of the trees that surrounded the outpost and the way they swayed with the wind.  She liked to take walks through the forest and they frequently journeyed to the hot springs he’d once told her about.  They’d spent many relaxing mornings and evenings in their waters.

“What are you thinking about?” she whispered next to him, on their sleeping platform.

She’d brought little trinkets back from their walks and from their adventures all over Luxiria.  He’d taken her to the Caves of the Pevrallix, the remaining five Luxirian outposts run by close friends and fellow Ambassadors, the plains of the Ravrax’tor for their mating ceremony the previous lunar cycle…

His dwelling was now filled with those little trinkets and he loved seeing them, knowing that his mate was making her mark on their home.  It filled him with pride and a love that continued to grow and expand with every passing span.

“You,” he murmured, turning his head to the side to regard his mate.

She bit her lip, cheeks flushing.  She was always doing that around him and when he asked her about why her skin turned pink, she said it was because he loved her…and she loved him.

Beks traced the scar on the side of his face, a scar that he hardly noticed anymore or even cared about.

“I…um…went to Privanax when we were in the Golden City yesterday,” she murmured.  “He ran some tests.”

Lihvan’s brow furrowed, trying to understand her meaning, and then panic struck him.  He jolted upright, taking her into his arms.  “Are you sick, luxiva?  I will—”

“I’m not sick, Lihvan,” she murmured, smiling, wrapping her arms around his neck.  “Actually, I’m pregnant.”

Rebax?” he said in shock.

“I’m pregnant,” she repeated, laughing a bit.  “Five weeks along.  It happened even before our mating ceremony.”

Luxiva,” he breathed, emotion choking him.

His gaze strayed down to her stomach, wondering when their offspring would begin to show.  Kate had begun to show quite quickly, so Lihvan suspected any span now.  He placed his hands on her belly, spreading his fingertips so they encircled her hips.

“Female, you honor me,” he rasped.

“We’re going to have a baby,” she whispered, tears beginning to shimmer in her eyes.  “I’m excited, so, so incredibly excited.  But I’m scared too.”

Lihvan shook his head, stroking his hand down her bare back, brushing the sides of her breasts.  “You do not need to be scared, luxiva.  I will never let anything happen to you.  For as long as we live.”

Beks blew out a breath and he saw in her gaze that she believed that to be true.

“I love you,” she whispered, brushing their lips together.  “So much.”

He showed her how much he loved her in his kiss, until the world fell away, and the Kroratax trees went quiet in the breeze outside their window, and it was just the two—no, three—of them.

Lihvan never thought he’d experience this kind of happiness.

Not until his luxiva.
