The Baby Offer: She wants a Baby, he needs a Fake Fiance by Samantha Leal (9)

She lay in his bed and looked across at him. He was so handsome, at times, it was a little bit alarming. She went to close her eyes, but just before she did, he opened his own and smiled across at her.

“Isn’t this a turn up for the books,” he said cheekily.

“Don’t be getting too comfortable,” she said. “I’m not staying the night.”

He pulled her to him and held her tight.

“I had a feeling you wouldn’t,” he laughed.

“I mean you have a great bed and all,” she mused. “But we are strictly business.”

He nodded his head.

“Of course,” he agreed. “We just went a little off track.”

Hannah nodded too.

“At least now we know each other a little better,” she said.

“Yes,” he smiled. “And now you can play the part perfectly on Thursday when we go to dinner.”

Hannah wriggled out of his arm and slipped to the edge of the bed.

“Well,” she smiled. “I guess I better get going.”

He leaned up on his elbow and looked at her. He watched as she moved toward the floor and picked up her clothes. She slipped her top on over her head and pulled up her jeans. Her shoes were still somewhere in the living area, and her bra too. She bit her lip and grinned before she took another swig of wine.

“So cold,” he said. “Leaving me like this.”

“Oh come on,” she said with an eye roll. “As if you care.”

He sat up fully and glared at her.

“And the Ice Queen returns,” he said sternly.

“Yeah and the jackass,” she smirked.

“You know, this is why I don’t have time for women,” he said. “The attitude.”

“Are you fucking kidding me,” she snarled, trying not to let him wind her up too much. “You’re the one who is incredibly antagonistic.”

“You bring it out of me,” he said with stone cold eyes. “I’m usually pretty laid back.”

“Whatever,” she said as she shot him a glance that could have cut glass.

“See, now I know why you were in that clinic,” he said. “No one would want to have a baby with you… You’re too much hard work.”

She felt as if he had just slapped her across the face and she turned and stared at him with so much anger she thought she was going to explode.

“You’re a real fucking prick, you know that?” she said with barbs as she narrowed her eyes. “Go fuck yourself and your deal.”

Scott scrunched up his mouth and sighed and dropped his shoulders.

“Han, I was kidding… I was just trying to get a rise out of you.”

If she hadn’t been feeling so worked up and furious, she thought she would have cried. She bit her bottom lip and shrugged.

“Whatever,” she said again and then she scooped up her purse and headed toward the door.

He jumped out of bed and followed her down the hallway. He was only wearing his jeans, and he scuffed along in his bare feet and slammed his hand against the door so that it closed and she couldn’t open it and disappear.

“Listen,” he said. “I really need your help. I didn’t think you’d take that so seriously. I was just playing.”

She looked up at him and glared at him. She may have come across that she had all the confidence and sass in the world, but for some reason, his words had cut deep, and it had taken her off guard.

“I know you need my help,” she said sternly. “And don’t worry, I won’t mess up your fucking precious dinner.”

She pushed past him and out the door and she didn’t turn back to say goodbye. He called after her, clearly realizing the error of his ways, but Hannah just kept on going.

When she got to the elevator, she willed it to come quick, and when she slipped inside and waited for the doors to slide closed, she made a point of not looking up and meeting his eye again.

“Jerk,” she sighed as she leaned against the wall.

She had had such a fun night and then he had gone and made it sour. He really was a jackass. She just wished she could shake him.

The elevator pinged and she got out on her floor. As she walked along the corridor, she still kept replaying in her mind the night they had spent together. They hadn’t had sex, but he had done things to her that had left her feeling weak at the knees. And the way he had cum all over her was such a turn on she was getting wet again just thinking about it.

He had so much to give…

He was clearly so fertile and it was sending her senses into overdrive.

She bit her lip and tried to blank out his foolish and goading comments afterward. She was the one who had said it, and she had meant it…

This was all strictly business.

One person helping another out, and vice versa.

She turned her key in the lock and stepped back into the welcoming comfort of her apartment and she headed straight to her bathroom. It wasn’t overly late, it was only just past midnight, but she was nowhere near tired. She wandered around her bathroom and started to light some candles, before she put the plug in the tub and started to run the hot, steaming water.

When it was full, she pinned up her hair and sank down into it. She sighed and smiled.

“What a night,” she whispered as she closed her eyes.

The water was warm and making her relax. She felt the sins being washed away, even if she was keen to hold on to the memory. She lathered herself with silky soap and she smelled of jasmine and rose water.

When her cell phone started to vibrate on the side of the sink, she felt her heart dance a little. It could only be him.

She chewed her lip and tried to force herself not to reach for it, but it was all too much to bear. She pushed herself up and leaned out of the tub to grab it and then she sank back down into the water, holding it out in front of her.

S: You’re right. I am a jackass…

She looked at the words and she could see the little bubbles that meant that he was writing more.

S: I know you’re not asleep, Hannah… So, if you can, don’t ignore me… I am sorry for what I said, it was a joke that backfired… xx

She grimaced at the screen, but she also couldn’t help but smile. She sighed and bit her lip.

What to write back…

She left him hanging there for a few moments, and then she started to type her reply…

H: Listen, like we’ve said before, this is all business. So don’t worry about it, okay?

S: I didn’t mean to offend you though. I just wanted you to know that.

H: You didn’t offend me. Trust me, I can handle a lot more than you…

S: Ouch…

H: Hurts doesn’t it ;)

S: I am sorry. Really, I am.

H: I know, and I believe you…

S: So, am I forgiven?

H: I’ll get back to you on that… Good night Scott x

S: Good night Hannah… I’ll call you tomorrow xxx

She closed the messages and felt full of power and control. There was no way she was letting him walk all over her. She had had a fun night and she had an incredible orgasm. If this was what business was going to be like with Scott, then he could be her associate for as long as it was making her happy. But she knew she had to keep her head screwed on.

“He’s a jerk,” she whispered to herself. “But he’s a jerk who’s good with his hands… and his mouth…”

She laughed a little to herself and then sank further down into the water. It was almost 1AM and she had a day packed full of meetings to come when she woke in the morning, she was going to have to get some sleep.

She drained the tub, climbed out and wrapped herself in a huge, soft, waffle robe before she sat down at her dressing table and started to apply her moisturizers and hand cream.

She looked at her bed behind her in the mirror and for the first time in a long time, she felt a little bit sad that it was empty.

She turned out the lights and pulled down the covers and climbed in. As she relaxed back into the mattress, she sighed and stretched before she turned to her side and bundled herself up in the covers.

She was trying not to keep replaying how much fun she had had, but her body was so relaxed and satisfied, it was hard not to keep thinking of it… and him… and his incredible cock.

She had to keep it business.

Business. Business. Business.

And if a little bit of pleasure happened to work its way in too… then hey, it was only another win for her.

“Live your best life, Hannah,” she smiled as she drifted off to sleep. “You only get to do it once…”

She fell to sleep with a smile on her face, but she was determined to proceed with caution.
