UNBREAKABLE: The Kings of Retribution MC by Daniels, Crystal, Alvarez, Sandy (26)

Grace

Stretching my arms over my head, I open my eyes. The morning sun has started to bask the bedroom with its warmth and light making it a perfect start to a beautiful Montana day. I can not believe how much our lives have changed. Ronan and his family are gone. They are no longer a shadow looming over our lives, and I no longer have to run or hide. There are so many wonderful people in my life to thank for the fact we are free of worry. Waking up every morning for the past few weeks finally able to breathe a sigh of relief that we have been able to go about our day to day without having to look over our shoulder is our new reality now and I'm beyond thankful. Remi has gone back to school, I've been working at the bakery every day, and Jake has been able to focus on the rebuilding of his shop.

"Come here," Jake rumbles, his voice raspy from sleep as he pulls my body close to his.

"Morning," I softly say and run my fingers through his beard.

"What are your plans for the day, babe," he asks palming my left breast.

"The usual. Dropping Remi off at school, going to work." Leaning in close his warm breath causes goosebumps to spread across my flesh as he drags his lips down my neck, then across my shoulder. I lose concentration when Jake gently rolls one nipple between his thumb and forefinger and takes the other into his mouth. My hands begin to explore his bare chest, back, and strong arms as he brings his massive body to hover over mine. My legs open letting him settled between them and his thick, heavy arousal presses against my inner thigh.

"I've barely touched you, and your pussy is hot for me." Jake moans and I continue to press against him. "You are so fuckin' beautiful, Little Bird." He tells me before stealing my breath with an all-consuming kiss as his lips claim mine. His hand skates down my side, and over the flare of my hip as he lowers himself. Wrapping his fingers behind my knee, he guides my leg to rest on his shoulder. Feeling bold, I reach between us and wrap my small hand around his girth giving him a few strokes. "Fuck, babe, do that again," his eyes close. I stroke him a few more times. "Keep your hand wrapped around my cock and guide me into that sweet pussy, Little Bird." He demands. Pulling back, Jake pauses. With my leg still draped over his shoulder he slowly sinks into me. Taking his time Jake's movements are slow as he makes love to me.

"More, Jake," I beg.

"I. Will. Never. Get. My. Fill. Of. You. Grace. Never." He grunts with every thrust. Bearing down, Jake's pelvic bone makes perfect contact with my swollen clit sending me over the edge. My orgasm so intense my back bows and I moan out his name. At the same time he growls "Fuck," as he finds his release with me.

Resting my palm on Jake's cheek, I gaze into his eyes. "I still can't believe you're mine," I whisper.

"I'm the lucky one, Grace." He replies.

Later in the day, I close the bakery to meet Glory for some lunch. "Have you been in touch with your parents yet?" I ask Glory whose sitting across the table from me while we wait for Finn to show. He called this morning and asked us to meet him this afternoon.

"I called them last night," she picks the menu up and glances over it as she continues. "I told them you're having a baby, and now my mother is harping on me about giving her a grandchild," she gives a quick pause accompanied by a smile, "so thanks for that," she teases. Glory is over the moon happy for us. It didn’t take long before she practically knocked the door down on the day we found out, after Remi ran off to tell her. Since then not only do I have Jake shadowing my every move; my best friend has begun doing the same.

Laughing off her mother's eagerness to be a grandma I try to decide between the Cobb salad or caving to my cravings and order the double bacon chili cheeseburger. Catching notice of Finn walking through the door, I wave at him to grab his attention and he strides in our direction towards the back corner of the small restaurant where Glory and I are seated.

"I appreciate the time, ladies," Finn greets with a smile and pulls a chair from the adjacent table and joins us. In his hand is a folder and he hands it to me and clears his throat. "As you are aware, Ronan didn’t have any more family besides his father. All remaining relatives were distant cousins. Since you were legally still married to him, by default, all his assets go to you and Remi." As he is explaining all this to me I open the folder and thumb through tons of papers and legal documents stunned by what I'm hearing. "You'll find that many assets have been liquidated due to some back taxes owed to the government, but you were still left with a good chunk of money."

I glance at Glory. She knows what I'm thinking. Putting the papers back into the folder I slide it back towards Finn. "I don’t want his dirty money."

Just as quickly Glory snatches the folder before Finn reaches for it. "Wait, how much money are we talking about here," she says and peeks through to find the seven-figure number among the pages. "Grace, honey. Maybe you need to think on this. You deserve this money. That bastard put you through hell. Take the money."

"No." I clarify. Glory gives me another 'are you sure' look before letting it go.

"What do you suggest be done with this money then, Grace?" Finn asks. The waitress walks up. We order lunch, and as we wait, I think about how I can use the money for good. When I look back to Finn, I know what I want to do. I want to help others. Grabbing the folder, I tuck it away in my shoulder bag. "We donate it." I smile knowing who I'll be making the check out to.

"So, Finn, what are your plans? You going back to the city?" Glory changes the subject just as our food arrives.

"I'll be leaving tomorrow. A new undercover assignment was offered, and I'm taking it." Finn tells us.

"So this lunch is also your goodbye," I state.

"For now," Finn says. "I'll check in from time to time. I happen to like this town and the people in it, so you'll see me again."

Trying not to let my emotions get the best of me I tell him, "There is nothing I could ever do to repay you for everything you’ve done for me and my daughter, Finn. You saved us."

"I may have helped, but you saved yourself, Grace." He says full of pride.

I'm currently enjoying a cup of decaffeinated coffee curled up with a light throw blanket draped across my legs on the back porch swing as I watch Jake and Remi feed the horses apples.

Two days ago, Jake surprised Remi with the fact he bought the two horses she's been attached to the moment we arrived out here weeks ago.

I take another sip of my coffee. The light breeze carries the smell of rain of the distant storm clouds and I can see Remi bounding up the porch steps. "I'm going to go pack my overnight bag," she stops long enough to give me a quick hug before disappearing inside. She and Kat have become the best of friends since meeting at the clubhouse during the threat and have been inseparable since. So, on our way to Bella's house today we'll be stopping at Victoria and Quentin's house.

When Jake makes it to the porch, he leans down kissing me. "Hey, beautiful."

"You spoil her too much," I jest, with a hint of seriousness. Setting my mug down, I throw the blanket across the back of the swing and stand.

Tucking me into his side, we make our way indoors just as thunder rumbles in the distance. "Get used to it, Little Bird. I plan on giving you, Remi," Jake places his hand protectively over my stomach, "and our baby in your belly everything I can give."

"All we need is you, and your love, Jake," I admit.

A couple of hours later we've dropped Remi off, and Jake has just dropped me off at Bella's house while he and the guys meet with the insurance adjuster in town about the garage. All the ladies are here today minus Glory. She decided to fly home for the weekend and spend some much need time with her parents. Since it's wet outside from the storm, we are all gathered in the living room. Lisa has even joined in on today's visit and true to her nature has been busy cooking alongside Bella. Once the kids have been fed and put down for naps, we gather in the kitchen again.

"How's the pregnancy going so far, Grace?" Lisa inquiries as I stand with my hand hovering over a large bowl of chips.

"Good so far," I pop a corn chip covered in cheese in my mouth. "Because of my age I'm considered high risk, but everything is looking good," I tell her.

"Kids are asleep, so besides the pregnant ladies, who here wants wine?" Alba announces as she enters the kitchen and begins taking glasses down from the cabinet. After pouring one for herself, Lisa, and Emerson she hands a drink over to Mila.

"Um, I think I'll pass," Mila tells Alba.

"Wait. What?" Bella says. "At dinner the other night you passed up wine and now again today? You never pass up wine, Mila." Bella eyes her suspiciously. The rest of the ladies have their full attention on Mila, and her eyes dart around the room. She bites her bottom lip for a moment. Caving she explains, "There's a possibility I could be pregnant."

A round of gasps and 'oh my god, that's great' are repeated around the room.

"You haven’t taken a test yet?" Emerson immediately questions her.

"No, I'm a week late, though. For some reason I'm nervous. Reid and I talked about giving it a go about two months ago, but what if it's a false alarm. My heart wants it so much. I don’t want to be disappointed."

"Mila, I understand how you feel," Bella looks at her, "We all do," she smiles and rubs her swollen belly. "But I say let's find out. Today." Bella turns and holds her hand out towards her sister. "Come on," she wiggles her fingers, "you carry pregnancy test around like currency."

Rolling her eyes, Alba crosses the kitchen into the foyer only to return to the kitchen with not one but two different at home pregnancy tests causing all of us to laugh out loud including herself as she shrugs her shoulders.

Mila briefly excuses herself to the bathroom. Upon returning she sets the tests carefully on a napkin and onto the counter. Anxiously, we wait for five minutes to pass.

As soon as enough time has passed, Mila walks back to the counter and looks down. Her hand instantly goes to her lower abdomen, and a smile overtakes the nervous look she had on her face. "I'm pregnant."

We surround her with congratulations and hugs. After discussing with Jake just before getting here, I decided to make my announcement on the heels of the new baby news. "Mila, I have something I need to give you before Jake picks me up," I tell her. Retrieving my bag from the kitchen table, I pull out a white envelope and walk back towards my friends; my family. "I came into some money. Money for reasons I'm sure you all would understand I don’t want any part of. That being said, I believe it would help others." She opens the envelope containing the check made out to New Hope House, The Charlotte Scott Foundation. A halfway home her and Sofia have recently started operating out of her late grandmother's home.

Tears pool in her eyes, "Grace," she whispers. "I was fortunate to find my happily ever after and I hope this can be a good start at helping others find theirs," I too start to tear up. Damn hormones.

Mila doesn’t try to give the check back. She doesn’t ask questions. She hands the check to over to Alba and hugs me and says, "Thank you."

After promising to keep the news of Mila's pregnancy under wraps until she and Reid see a doctor and choose to share it with the rest of the family, we sit around for the next hour laughing and planning another baby shower. Mine.

Later that evening with the house to ourselves Jake and I spend our time together on the back porch watching the sunset and listen to the soothing sounds of the river's current rush downstream. The weather is turning a little cooler, so Jake goes inside and returns with a blanket large enough to wrap around the both of us. Snuggling as close as I can, I warm myself with the heat of his body. Completely content doing nothing, we sit like this until the darkness of nightfall engulfs us and the stars become our only source of light.

"Look," I point to the sky at a falling star. "Hurry, make a wish," I quickly say as it skirts across the midnight sky.

"Marry me," Jake whispers in my ear.

I turn, connecting my eyes with his. "Is that your wish?" I smile warmly at him.

He pushes my curls from my face and nods. "Marry me, Little Bird."

On a breath, I answer, "Okay."
