WULF: Elementals MC by Alexi Ferreira (21)

The day after the attack Wulf had disappeared to interrogate the men that were still alive. Jas had felt his rage before he left. About an hour after Wulf had left, there had been a slight tremor. After the tremor Bjarni came to collect her, asking her to follow him to the cells. Entering, the first thing she saw was Draco and Cassius holding Wulf against the wall. Draco had his arm across Wulf’s throat holding his head back, his whole body straining while he held him against the wall. Cassius was holding onto his shoulder and arm. Draco was talking to Wulf, Jas couldn’t hear what he was saying but it did not look as if Wulf was listening. His eyes were trained with a deadly stare on the men inside the cell.

“Go calm him,” Bjarni said from besides her.

“Wulf … Come back to me.” She could feel his breathing calming, he turned his eyes towards her. As their eyes, connected Jas saw Wulf’s muscles start to relax. “That’s it, come back to me.” Cassius drew back slowly, allowing Jas to wiggle closer to Wulf and lay her head on his chest. His heart was racing but his breathing and his body were relaxing.

“You shouldn’t be here,” his voice came out rough, as if he hadn’t used it in days.

Draco loosened the hold he had on him, allowing him to place his arms around her. Wulf looked at Draco and nodded. Jas knew that by that nod Wulf was telling Draco that he was fine.

Wulf kept his gaze away from the fucker that was inside the cell. When they were interrogating him and he had bragged about how he had kept Jas in line. How he used to hit her and how Merdor was going to get her and make her pay, Wulf had lost his mind. The thought of anyone hurting her had him losing control. After the close call they had had the day before, his rage was too close to the surface for him to be able to calm himself. He drew her closer to him, calming himself with the feel of her safe in his arms.

They had learnt that Merdor was after certain women with special gifts. They weren’t able to find out why or which women but apparently Jas was one of them. One of the men they had interrogated had told them before they killed him that Vercin and Merdor already had two women with them. They would get a location for Merdor. They also mentioned that Merdor was getting information from someone with regard to the women and them, but no matter how much they tortured the men, they did not know who it was.

Turning Jas around, he placed his arm around her back and started to move towards the entrance to the cells, looking at Draco as he went, he growled, “Finish him!”

In the following days, the men were on edge. Wulf wouldn’t let Jas outside unless he was with her, and then for a very short time. Cameras and sensors were being installed throughout the property. The walls were being fortified, more wolves were brought in to roam the property. When Jas showed concern at that, the men laughed saying that she must not worry that Wulf would keep them in check. When she looked at him he had teased her.

“Don’t worry Angel, no Wolf would dare come close to you. The only Wolf to touch you is me. They will know who their Alpha is.” All the men had laughed. She had blushed, pulling a face at him. It was the first time she had seen him smile since the attack on the building.

“Celmund we need to up our security here, there will be rounds done to the perimeter. With Jas, here we can’t take a chance of anyone getting through again,” Draco was saying. All the men nodded, this was their home they had lived here for centuries, and they had made sure that it was a place that they could bring their mates to when they found them, that it would be the safest place for them. Not one of them would allow this place to be breached again. “If we are being watched I want to know by who!” Draco demanded in an angry voice.

“Celmund, I want you to do a background check on the Jezebels to see if there are any inconsistencies in their backgrounds or not.”

“Brandr, you need to get hold of our friends at the Bureau and find out if they know anything. For all we know the Feds might even be keeping an eye on us and Merdor got the Intel from agent Finn,” Wulf suggested. He had never liked working with the FBI but they helped each other. If he found out though that Jas might be in danger because of them, this arrangement would be over and heads would roll.

“No one goes out alone, I want everyone in pairs. If you see anything strange, don’t be heroes. Let us know and we will follow it up. We need to be smart about this. I don’t like the idea of these motherfuckers knowing about our movements.” Draco had been in a foul mood since the attack; they all were. The not knowing who was spying on them was stressing everyone.

“If there is nothing else, you are dismissed!” Draco growled, looking around the table. As everyone got up to leave, Wulf and Draco continued sitting.

“Katya contacted me; apparently they had found photos of the inside the compound. As I see it only one of the Jezebels could be involved; but she wouldn’t be the one taking photos of us when we go out. So, there must be someone else keeping an eye on us. I have asked Celmund to track messages and phone calls from all their phones.  If anyone uses their phone we will know. I know this is driving you crazy not being able to know if Jas is safe. It’s driving me crazy too, but I need you to try and keep your cool.” Draco was looking directly at Wulf. “We could find the snitch soon or it could take a while, but we will find them. Until then we’ll do all we can to keep your woman safe.”

Since the attack Wulf knew he had been on high alert. Anything out of the ordinary was triggering his temper. He nearly attacked Caelius yesterday for bumping into Jas. This situation was driving him crazy, they had to find the rat. Getting up, he clapped Draco on his shoulder and nodded. “Let’s go have a drink.”

They made their way towards the main area in the front of the compound, finding Cassius, Brandr and Bion sitting at the bar. Gloria, one of the Jezebel’s, was rubbing up against Bion, whispering in his ear. One of the prospects that had been with the MC for a while now was behind the bar serving the drinks. There were also three brothers from one of their other chapters sitting at a table with drinks and two Jezebels sitting on their laps. They were here to transport the guns. The Elementals MC were mostly legit but they also had their arms deals that all the chapters were involved in, transporting for the Russian mafia. The money was just too good to pass up on.

“Hi Wulf.” He had been so distracted that he hadn’t noticed Sonia one of the other Jezebels closing in on him. “I haven’t seen you around here for a while. Old lady keeping you busy?” she asked, placed her hand on his chest as she spoke.

“You could say that.” Wulf moved a step back making her drop her hand. Wulf had allowed Sonia to blow him every now and again before he met Jas. Now as he looked at her he couldn’t imagine having her anywhere near him.

“Would you like me to relieve some of the pressure I see tensing your shoulders? Your old lady is most probably asleep now.” Again, she placed her hand on his chest.

“Don’t ever touch me again. All of you know I now have an old lady for anything I might need. Go play with someone else!” Wulf growled. Taking hold of her wrist, he removed her hand from his body.

“Your loss,” she turned stomping towards the couches where Ceric and Bjarni were sitting. Sonia had been with the club for just over eight months now. She was good with her mouth and the guys commented that she had some good tricks with her pussy, but she had an attitude on her that Wulf didn’t like. If she didn’t learn how to control her temper he was going to kick her out.

“Where is Jas anyway? I haven’t seen her since this afternoon?” Draco asked, leaning over the bar to grab a bottle of Whiskey. He poured himself and Wulf another shot.

“She has been feeling tired since the attack. I think it’s just been a lot to take in. Her body is trying to adjust. I looked in on her earlier, she was sleeping.” He was worried about her, but she assured him she was fine and that she was only tired. That was one of the things that had him on edge. He wanted her to be happy and relaxed with him; he wanted her safe, not worried about anything. As her man, he was supposed to assure her safety, but now he couldn’t do that and that was driving him crazy.

Celmund approached Wulf and Draco with his laptop in hand, and a frown marring his forehead. “I got something,” he stated, placing the laptop on the bar facing them.

“What are we looking at?” Draco asked, looking at the screen with a table of numbers and times on it.

Pointing towards one of the numbers on the screen Celmund explained. “This here is someone’s number here at the compound. I don’t have this number registered to anyone but someone sent a text message from here fifteen minutes ago.” Both men looked at the screen as Celmund clicked on the number to open the message.

All here, no casualties. Woman seems to be fine.

“Motherfucker! How we going to find the person? Have you got the number of where the text was sent to?” Draco growled, looking around at everyone who was in attendance.

“I tried to trace it but as soon as the text was sent the phone was switched off. I got a location for the other phone though its six kilometres away from here. Thought we could go and pay the recipient a visit that will maybe bring us clarity on who the snitch is.”

“Celmund, you and Brandr are with me, let’s go find this fucker once and for all,” said Draco. “Wulf you stay here. Don’t let anyone leave.” Draco moved away from the bar, signalling to Brandr to follow as he walked out.  Wulf moved towards the pool table. This would take some time. He might as well settle down for a little while and keep an eye on all the Jezebels, prospects and the guys from the other chapter while he waited.
