Brother's Best Friend for Christmas: A Bad Boy Second Chance Romance by Amy Brent (10)

Chapter 10

Amber

After getting Luke off my back, finding Kelly passed out in the booth he left her in and getting all of us home, I passed the fuck out. I had soaked my panties after the furious make-out session Tyler and I had engaged in, and I knew the moment I peeled the soaking wet fabric from my skin I had to have him. My body wasn’t going to be able to keep up this tease much longer, and the more I put it off, the more obvious it was going to become to everyone around us.

I had to go to my parents’ house today. There was this festival downtown celebrating all the holidays we had in our community, and it was a tradition every year for us to go. I needed three cups of coffee just to wake myself up before I downed two bottles of water, but when I finally got the raging headache to go away I started to get dressed.

Stepping into the shower, I couldn’t stop thinking about Tyler. The muscles I felt underneath the grip of my legs last night boasted of how well he’d kept up his body after college. I knew if Luke had not come around banging on the door I would’ve fucked Tyler right in that bathroom stall. I would’ve gladly taken his cock between my legs and rode him off into the sunset.

And when I felt his cock jump underneath the palm of my hand, I knew he wanted me just as badly.

I debated on masturbating in the shower. Just thinking of Tyler puckered my nipples underneath the streams of hot water, but when I heard my eleven o’clock alarm go off, I knew I didn’t have time. Mom was expecting me at the house by noon, and it would take me about that long just to clean myself up and get over there.

I stepped out of the shower and shut the alarm off before I took a good look at myself in the mirror. I studied my neck and my arms, looking around for any possible marks I’d have to cover up. I sighed with relief as my fingertips trailed down my skin, and for a split second I could’ve sworn I still felt Tyler’s lips against mine.

But, my gaze stopped at my breast, and the raging black mark where his teeth had been last night caught my eye.

I felt something in my gut lurch at the sight. My hand danced lightly over the mark as a smirk tugged at my face, and something inside me wanted more marks like those around my body. I thought about what it would feel like to have those on the insides of my legs or cascading down my back. Would he like matching marks? Maybe me raking my nails down his back?

I could feel myself growing wet again, so I decided just to pull on a high-necked T-shirt for the day.

I grabbed a thermos full of coffee to go, then started for my parents’ place. I walked in to find everyone standing around waiting for me, and Mom shot me a look as I walked through the door.

“Don’t look at me like that. I was just trying to piece myself together after last night,” I said.

“What was last night?” Luke asked in an accusing tone.

“The club, you nitwit. We were all out until, like, two this morning,” I said.

“Oh, you all went out! How fun. Where did you go?” Mom asked.

“Probably to that dance club Amber likes so much. Is that where you went?” Dad asked.

“Speaking of dance, I’ve found a wonderful place to rent that would be perfect for my dance studio,” I said.

“Really? Where’s it located?” Luke asked.

“You know where that ballroom dancing studio is on the outskirts of town? That main drag that cuts the city in half?” I asked.

“Oh, you mean that building across from it? That would be a great place. It’s up and coming, so you could still get a good deal on it,” Luke said.

“It’d be a smart business move,” Tyler said.

“Sweetheart, are you ever going to get over this little phase of yours?” Mom asked.

“It’s not a phase, Mom. I’m serious. There are dance studios around the city, yes. But, there aren’t any that cater to both professionals and beginners. Plus, the studio is large enough for me to do something with youth on the weekends to give them a safe place to go,” I said.

“That’s awesome,” Tyler said. “I think it’s great you’re still pursuing that dream.”

All at once, everyone’s eyes fell onto the both of us. I could see Luke’s neck flushing with anger while Mom’s eyes darted between the two of us, and there was a smirk tugging at Dad’s lips that I couldn’t really decipher.

“Business goals are something you guys talked about in your English Lit class?” Luke asked.

“No, it was a project in another class we had in common. I don’t think we had it together, but I think we were taking it the same semester,” Tyler said.

I was trying desperately not to choke him out right then and there. The more he talked, the more of a hole he dug for us. Why couldn’t that just have been an off-topic discussion in English Lit? Why the fuck did we have to add another class to this bullshit mix?

“Uh huh. And what class was this?” Luke said.

“Luke,” my dad warned.

“Econ,” we both said at the same time.

My gaze whipped over to him as Tyler’s eyes kept holding Luke’s. What the fuck just happened? The two of us just pulled the same fucking class out of our asses. If Tyler was digging us a hole, some unknown entity has just thrown a massive ladder down to help us climb out of it.

And I could tell, even as Tyler held my brother’s gaze, that he was just as shocked.

“God, that class was bullshit that semester,” I said. “Did you have Evans or Shuster?” I asked.

“Fucking Evans,” Tyler said as his gaze found its way back to mine. “I swear, he and Shuster were out to get all of us.”

“Glad I’m not the only one who thought so,” I said, mumbling.

“So, you guys had a project in an Econ class you didn’t take together that somehow involved businesses?” Luke asked.

“Yeah. It was a project all the basic Econ classes had to do. Instead of taking a final exam, we had to plan and plot out the finances and logistics of opening our dream business,” Tyler said.

“And you did the dance studio?” Luke asked.

“Yep. Planned, plotted, and financed out,” I said, smiling.

“And what did you do, Tyler? A strip club?” Luke asked, grinning.

“Not quite. I did a Bachelor’s lounge. Fine liquors, cigars, events that entailed easy music and sometimes dancing women. In the daytime, the upper part of the lounge was a full-on salon and spa service for guys, and at night the bottom portion was the lounge,” he said.

“Holy shit, dude. That’s an awesome idea,” Luke said.

“Oh, my gosh. You two should do that one day. If this food business gets going in LA like you want it to, maybe it could be a passion project,” my mother said.

“Oh, so they can have all the businesses they want, but I can’t open my own dance studio?” I asked.

“When will you have time to date if you open your own studio, sweetheart? And what if you invest all this money and it doesn’t work out? Dancing isn’t like food. Not everyone needs dancing,” she said.

“But, this community needs safe spaces for its children, and I could provide that. Plus, I don’t plan on dating. Ever,” I said.

“Oh, sweetheart. Such nonsense,” my mother said, smiling. “Anyway, who’s ready to go to the parade?”

“I have to pick up something on the way to the parade,” Tyler said. “But, I could meet you guys there?”

“Everything alright?” my father asked.

“Oh, yeah. It’s just that we’ve spent so much time resting and bonding with you guys that we haven’t really had much time to get some business things done. There’s a deadline of tonight on something, so I need to go make sure everything’s on track,” Tyler said.

“See, sweetheart? This is the type of schedule you would run if you owned your own business. You’d have no time for family! What would your husband think of that?” my mother asked.

“You mean my non-existent husband that I don’t ever plan on finding because I don’t want to date?” I asked.

“Amber, your mother is just trying to play devil’s advocate,” my father said.

“No, she’s trying to trample my dreams while simultaneously allowing Luke to do whatever the fuck he wants,” I said.

“Language,” my mother warned.

I saw Tyler lean into my brother and whisper something before my brother nodded his head. His eyes flickered over to me for a split second before Tyler cleared his throat. Obviously, they were addressing something about me, I just didn’t know what they were talking about.

“Amber, could you ride with Tyler? I trust him and all, but this part of the business could really use a woman’s perspective,” Luke said.

“What?” I asked.

“Oh, I could go, sweetheart. I’m not sure Amber’s—”

“Amber’s perfect for it,” Luke said.

“Uh, alright,” I said. “I guess that’ll work. I’ll ride with Tyler to the super-secret business stuff, and then we’ll meet you guys at the parade?”

“Sounds good. I’ll text you when we find a good place to stand,” Luke said.

I furrowed my brow lightly at Tyler before he began walking toward the door. I followed closely on his heels, wondering what in the fuck I’d gotten myself into. It had to be serious if Luke was suggesting I ride with Tyler, especially after the fucking fit he threw last night.

It took me almost an hour to get him off my fucking back about where Tyler was.

We got into my car and pulled out of the driveway. The gray Shelby Mustang GT500 roared to life before we pulled out of the driveway, and I rested my arm out the window as we started cruising down the road. The wind was whipping my hair around as the engine rumbled my ribcage, and I sighed heavily while the freedom cascaded down my body.

I knew my mother would never understand or support my business passions, but I wanted her to get off the marriage train. I wasn’t going to ever be tied down to a man who thought he could govern my every move, nor was I going to partner with someone whose permission I constantly needed.

I let the wind of the road flutter over my skin as Tyler slid his hand onto my knee.

I sighed and leaned back into the chair as my legs willingly parted for him. I was no longer going to hide how much I wanted him. His hand began massaging the inside of my leg as we cruised down the highway, and the closer he got to my pussy the wetter I became for him. His hands expertly massaged the muscles of my leg, pulling from me feelings I hadn’t experienced since he took my body all those years ago in college.

I could feel the first few drops of my pussy juices trickling down my ass crack.

“Stop off at your apartment,” Tyler said.

Not a question, not a request, and not a suggestion. A command. A low command that blended in with the roar of the engine of my car. I felt my hips grind softly into his hand as the smell of my juices wafted up my nose, and I careened across three lanes before I took an exit off the highway.

I raced through town to get to my apartment as my leg began to shake underneath his touch. His fingertips were rubbing against my clothed pussy, eliciting from me moans and groans I was trying hard to hold back. I could see the smirk on his face in the corner of my eye, and I knew the moment I parked the car in the parking lot of my apartment we were going to be very late for this parade.

I stumbled out of the car and led him to my door. His hands were all over me while his lips attacked my neck, and I struggled to get the keys into the lock as his tongue raced all along my pulse point.

His hand dipped down between my legs again while his dick throbbed against my ass, and I had to stop and take a deep breath before I could steady my hand enough to slip the key into the lock.

I threw open my apartment door and he pushed me in. The door slammed behind us before he grabbed my arm, and my back hit the door as he reached down to lock it. Suddenly, his lips were all over me. My cheek, my neck, my shoulder. He ripped my T-shirt off to the side so his tongue could dip down to my collarbone as my hands rushed to his hair.

His hands ran all along my legs before he reached around and gripped my ass. I started walking him toward my room, falling on top of him when the backs of his knees hit the edge of my bed. His cock grew underneath my wet warmth as I pulled his lips up to meet mine, and the second I caught his gaze I knew it was over.

I was about to have Tyler Raymond.

And my body shook with unadulterated excitement.
