His Forbidden Mate (Deliverance Pack Book 1) by Matilda Janes (6)

Chapter Six

Adam’s cock throbbed and dripped with pre-cum. He’d had his doubts about taking her virginity in this motel room, but when she rubbed her tight, panty-covered pussy against his cock, her wetness leaking through, all rational thought left, and his baser instincts took over. Adam just barely managed not to tear her panties when he pulled them down and off. He gently cupped her beautiful pussy before sliding two fingers inside of her, groaning when he found her already soaking wet for him.

“I want this pussy dripping for me.” She was tight, and even though he’d assured her they would fit, he couldn’t help but worry about his size. Needing her mindless, he flicked his thumb against her clit as he rubbed his fingers up inside of her. Finding that special spot he’d read about, he had to hold her hips down when she lifted and squirmed against him.

“Oh God!”

“Fuck yes!” Adam cried out when his balls tightened. He nearly came when her juices started to drip down his hand.

“Please, Adam.”

He gently pulled his fingers from her and rubbed her wetness on his cock, mixing it with his own leaking cum before he leaned down and captured her lips again. “Are you ready?”

“Yes!” She arched her body against him.

He lined his cock with her entrance and growled as he as he slowly started to push himself inside her. She was so damn tight, and Adam wasn’t sure he was going to last. He barely had the tip of his cock in her, and he’d never felt anything so good. He tried to hold back, but he could feel cum he couldn’t contain squirting out. His flank muscles clenched as the urge to thrust overwhelmed him, but he held still before he pushed into her just a little more. His body twitched with his inaction, but he ignored his cock and studied every expression that crossed her beautiful face, searching for pain. He took his time and gently eased himself into her before he pulled out just a little. He did this over and over while rubbing her clit until he was fully inside of her. Adam held as still as he could and let her body adjust to his, but he couldn’t stop his muscles from shaking as he fought the urge to pound into her.

Adam gritted his teeth. “Are you okay?” He could feel her muscles pulse and clench around him, making it harder for him to hold still.

“Yes, Adam, please. Now!” She panted, and he recognized the desperation in her voice because he felt it, too.

He kept his eyes on hers as he slowly pulled his hips away until only the head of his cock remained and watched her eyelids grow heavy and fall when he slowly slid back into her.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” He didn’t want to hurt her any more than he already may have.

“Adam, I need to you move. Please fucking move. I’m okay. It hurts good.”  She groaned.

He moaned and had to bite his lip as he fought for control. He needed a moment or he was going to come. He moved his hand to her hip to hold her steady. Her nipples were hard against his chest, and his cock grew even harder. Adam rose up, gripped her thighs, and thrust into her. Hannah squealed, and while it sounded like a happy squeal he had to make sure.

“You’re sure you’re okay?”

“Yes!” she sobbed.

Adam thrust into her again and again, his skin slapping against hers. Hannah broke away from his kiss, and her cry of pleasure drove him over the edge. He couldn’t contain himself. His pace quickened and he pounded into her. Adam desperately wanted to look so he could see himself covered in her cream, but instead he kept is eyes on hers and searched for any signs of pain. Lust speared through him when he found only unfocused pleasure there, as her muscles started to flutter and clench around him.

“I love you,” Hannah gasped out.

Adam’s wolf reared up and his fangs pulsed and lengthened at her words. The urge to claim her washed over him, but he held back.

“I love you, too, baby,” he whispered, and quickened his thrusts until her eyes rolled and glazed over. Adam’s muscles clenched and his balls drew up as he readied to come. He tried to hold back, but he was lost. “Come with me,” he pleaded and reached between them.

He gently thumbed her clit, and her muscles clamped down hard on his cock as he finally let himself go. His jaw dropped, and he grunted when waves of pleasure pulsed through him while he groaned and spurted his cum inside of her. He stayed inside while they both caught their breath. He never wanted to leave.

“You’re mine,” he growled, before he slowly pulled himself out her and reluctantly got up. He may have not given her the mating mark, but she was his. “Don’t move,” he ordered. He rushed to the bathroom where he wiped himself down before he grabbed a wet washcloth and quickly returned to her. She reached for the cloth, but he held it out of reach. “I will take care of you,” he assured her, and she let him pry her legs open. He gently cleaned her tender skin.

“Are you okay?” he asked, worried he’d been too rough with her.

“I feel, really good, Adam. That was…” Her voice suddenly sounded shy. “That was really wonderful,” she whispered.

Adam’s chest swelled at her words, and he tossed the washrag away before he turned off the light. He crawled into bed beside her and held her close. “For me, too.”

Hannah woke when Adam’s warm body pulled away from hers. She opened her eyes to see the room was still blanketed in darkness.

“I’m sorry, Hon.”

Hannah’s stomach flip-flopped, and she tried not to smile. Hon?

“I know we only got a few hours of sleep, but I think we should get back on the road. My wolf’s getting agitated and sometimes it’s best to listen to him.” He jumped up and started to pull his clothes on and handed her hers. “You can sleep in the truck. I’m guessing we have about four or five more hours.”

Hannah shook her head. “It’s okay, Adam, I get it.” She yawned and stretched. She was sore in places she’d never felt before. Last night had been the most incredible night of her life, and she grinned to herself as she got dressed as quickly as she could. Adam held her hand as they snuck quietly down the corridor to his truck. Once they were on the freeway Adam reached over and took her hand, lacing their fingers like before. She didn’t mind that he was always finding some way to touch her.

“You’re mine,” he growled, his eyes flashing yellow.

Hannah wasn’t sure why he needed the affirmation, but she lifted and kissed the back of his hand. “Yes, I’m yours,” she told him, and his eyes turned back to Adam’s blue.

The corners of his mouth turned up, and he smiled sheepishly before he turned his attention back to the road.

“Sorry, my wolf…” Adam shook his head.

After a few more hours of driving Hannah perked up when Adam pulled onto a gravel road.

“We’re here.”

“Where are we?” she asked. They were surrounded by forest, and all she could see were trees.

“Sanctuary,” he told her.

They drove for another mile before they couldn’t go any farther, and Adam parked. He tugged her hand and motioned for her to follow him out the driver’s side. He led her to a path that had been camouflaged by the forest. She would never have found it on her own.

“Stay close to me. They have more than wolf shifters in their pack.”

“What in the hell does that mean?” she whispered.

“We can hear you,” a disembodied voice called out, and Hannah jumped. “Whispering won’t help. Your boyfriend means we have wolves and bears, oh my.”

Adam pulled her close, and she clung to him while he scanned the area around them and sniffed at the air. “Just stay calm. It’s going to be okay. You trust me?” He spoke urgently, and Hannah’s heart was about to beat out of her chest but she nodded.

“Yes,” she whispered as a man almost as tall and muscular as Adam stepped out from the forest. Hannah couldn’t stop her eyes from widening in fear when the largest wolf Hannah had ever seen walked out beside him.

“Would you folks like to tell us why you’re trespassing in Deliverance territory?” he asked, his brow furrowing over narrowed eyes.

“We come seeking sanctuary.” The man just raised an eyebrow at Adam’s declaration. “My father doesn’t approve of my human mate. I think he wants to kill her.” Hannah gasped and looked up at Adam in surprise.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t want you to worry.” He gently squeezed her arms.

She’d figured out his father didn’t approve, but she hadn’t realized it was that bad. No wonder Adam had gotten so upset when she’d almost left him.

“What about your Alpha? What does he have to say?” the man asked Adam.

“He is my Alpha,” Adam answered.

The man’s eyes widened at that before he contemplated what he’d been told. The man and wolf exchanged glances before he spoke.

“All right, boy, you two come on up to the cabin and meet everyone. You try anything, and well, I don’t need to explain, do I?” the man warned them before the wolf turned and ran up the path.

“No, sir,” Adam assured him.

It was unnerving following this stranger through the woods, but with Adam by her side she tried to tamp down her fear. As if he could sense her thoughts, Adam smiled and squeezed her hand. A large log cabin came into view up the path, and the man waved for them to enter. The wolf was nowhere in sight.

“Come on in and meet the pack, get you a cup of coffee, and we’ll get this sorted out.”

They followed him into the cabin, and Hannah swallowed hard when all eyes turned towards them. Several large, well-muscled men sat throughout the cabin.

“Yeah, you kids look like you been on the road a while. Coffee?” he offered, and Adam nodded his head, while she declined.

“Thank you, sir.” Adam accepted a mug from one of the men.

“Whelp, let’s get to business. I’m John McClintock, and I’m the Alpha here.” John held out his hand, and Adam readily accepted it. She watched, fascinated, as Adam turned his head slightly and bared his neck to John, who nodded and smiled. “Thank you, son.”

Hannah figured it must have been some sort of show of respect. The man did say he was the Alpha, and she gathered that meant he was in charge.

“My name is Adam Atwood, and this is my mate, Hannah Martin.” Adam turned to look at the men in the room. “We request sanctuary with your pack.”

John nodded and pointed out the men as he introduced them. “Meet the Deliverance pack. Kellan, Kade, and Kieran Brune are the big bastards over there. Though Kade lives on the other side of the mountain.” The men were huge.

“John, I’ll see you in a couple months or so. Good luck, kids.” Kade reached out and shook John’s hand, while with his other he held an axe.

Hannah stepped aside as the large man and his axe walked to the door. She tried not to stare at the scar that covered half of his face and gulped when he nodded and scowled at her.

“He’s a little anti-social. His bear is hard pressed to like anyone, even his brothers, so don’t take it personal,” John told them after Kade had left. “Over there is Bryce Thompson, Tyler Johnson, and this is Brandon Walker. You met him outside.”

Brandon walked down the hall pulling a shirt over his head.

“It’s nice to meet you.” Hannah felt her face flush when all eyes turned towards her, but her embarrassment lessened when they all returned her smile.

“Doesn’t anyone else in your pack have a human mate?” John asked Adam.

“No, sir.” Adam looked down at her and swallowed. “It’s not allowed for us to choose a human mate. My father hates humans.”

Someone in the room snickered, and Adam’s brows furrowed in confusion.

“Choose your mate? You think you choose?” John asked, and he truly sounded bewildered.

“Or our wolf chooses?”

“That’s not how it works, son, and I’m sorry, but your father is dumb as shit,” John said. “Hates humans?” He shook his head and sounded exasperated. “What in the hell does he think this is?” John gestured towards his own body. “We’re all humans. Shifters just have a little extra.” He pounded his chest. “We all came from the same place. I don’t know where your pack got this misinformation, but that’s not how matings work. We don’t pick our mates. I mean you can, and some do. Their human side tires of waiting or it’s possible to never meet them, but shifter souls split, making room for our animals. Every shifter has another half out there somewhere in the universe, and once you meet your true mate, you just know.”

“That shit is sacred,” one of the men chimed in.

“Do you have human mates here?” Hannah asked him. It would be nice if there was someone she could talk to. She had a hard time wrapping her mind around the fact that she and Adam shared a soul.

“Well, no we don’t have any mates here, but it sure wouldn’t matter if they were human or not,” John said.

“Your Alpha is about to find out the hard way.” Tyler spoke up.

“What do you mean?” Adam asked.

“Fate’s a real bitch when you try and interfere with what she wants.” John answered for his pack member. “If your father is so dead set against this to the point of terminating your mate, I’ll back you up, but I think you know what needs to be done if you want this to end. Is he going to just let you go?” John asked.

“What did your Alpha say? If he’s not doing the right thing and backing you up you need to challenge him. Otherwise he’s not a worthy Alpha,” Kieran said.

“My father is my Alpha,” Adam said.

“Oh, shit, kid, sorry.”

“Is he saying what I think he’s saying?” Hannah asked and turned to Adam.

“Yeah.”

“I can’t ask you to fight your dad, Adam. That’s—”

“You think I give a shit about him? He doesn’t care about me. All he cares about breeding me and continuing our line. That's why he forbade me from seeing you and if he … if he really cared he wouldn’t have done the things he did.”

Hannah startled when an alarm sounded overhead, and Adam pulled her closer when the men in the room jumped into action. Everyone’s attention turned towards a wall of monitors where one of the men sat down. Shadows moved amongst the trees, coming towards the cabin.

“Looks like you two got here just in time. They were right on your tail. Don’t worry, this place looks rustic, but Bryce here has this place wired up with top of the line surveillance, enhanced for our special needs,” John explained.

“I don’t understand how he found us so quickly. He couldn’t have possibly known where we were going!” Adam was pissed.

“He probably GPS’d your truck and has been following you the entire time. That’s what I would do.” Bryce spoke up.

“Fuck, I’m sorry, John. I didn’t mean to bring this kind of trouble. I hoped we could lay low for a while until I figured something out. Fuck!”

“Hey, it’s okay, kid. To be honest something doesn’t smell right with your pack, and I’m a little impatient to meet your father myself,” John said.

One of the men, Tyler, gently nudged her arm, but he took a step back with his hands up when Adam snarled at him. “Sorry, man. My bad.” His expression was genuinely contrite when he turned back to her. “Do you know how to shoot a gun?” he asked.

“No, I’m sorry, I don’t,” she said, and he nodded and walked away only to return a moment later and hand her a baseball bat.

“I’d like this back, yeah? And make sure you don’t swing for me.” He winked before he walked away and pulled his t-shirt off to reveal a wall of muscle.

“Thank you.” She hugged the bat to her body. She didn’t want to hit anyone, but she was thankful she wasn’t unarmed.

Hannah tried to avert her eyes when some of the men started to undress while others checked their weapons. She was startled when Adam pulled off his t-shirt and tossed it aside. She was entranced when his chest muscles flexed, and while she appreciated the display she raised her brows.

“If I challenge him I’ll have to shift,” he explained.

She tried to hide her fear, but she must have failed because he pulled her close and hugged her tight. She could feel his lips on the top of her head as he rocked her. “I love you. No matter what happens, please know how much I fucking love you,” he whispered hoarsely against her hair.

“Adam?” Hannah didn’t like the tone of his voice, but he didn’t answer her. Instead, he looked at John.

“If anything happens to me…”

John didn’t let Adam finish and he held his hand up. “You’re both under my protection,” he said. “She’ll be safe with us.”

“Thank you.” Adam leaned down and kissed her forehead. “Hannah, promise me no matter what you see outside, you’ll stay in this cabin. Promise me.”

Hannah looked up to see yellow eyes implore her. “I promise,” she whispered. She was reluctant, but she agreed.

Someone had opened the front door, and she watched as the men filed out and took up positions along the porch and the ground below. Hannah’s breath caught in her throat as several men and wolves emerged from the forest.

“Anyone comes near you, you don’t recognize,” Adam reached out and touched the baseball bat, “you follow through and don’t hold back. Ask questions later.” Adam squeezed her once more before he stepped back from her. Hannah’s chest ached as he walked out the door.
