Jasper: Northern Grizzlies MC (Book 1) by M. Merin (19)

Flint

Fuck.

This is a new fucking ballgame.

“Kitten, sorry to ask, but can you give us twenty minute?” I ask Emma, as I walk into Jasper’s room.

“What is it?” She stands, blocking Jasper from my view; as though to protect him from me.

“Club business,” I return, raising an eyebrow. “He needs to hear this. Just him.”

She turns and kisses Jasper’s brow, before bestowing a look of impending doom upon me. A threat to not overtax her man.

“Vice has called Church,” I start as she closes the door behind her. I go on to explain Gunner’s suspicion, that the Spiders may have targeted us in the craziest way possible.

“Jesus Fucking Christ, Flint.” Jasper looks dazed. “I want Wrench reviewing the feeds, see if we can track any of the girls and pick one up. What about you, do you need to get tested?”

“Me?” I laugh. “Fuck no, all the ass that comes in are my daughters’ age or younger. What about you?”

“That random chick that Vice had in a couple months ago blew me before that California trip, but I tested clean when Emma and I went for tests.” I shake my head. “The real problem will be with the Ol’ Ladies whose men are fucking around. They’ll go ballistic and we have to get in front of any fallout.

“Gimme a pen and paper.” Jasper orders. I look around and see a notepad near the workstation in the room. He takes a minute to write something out. “Read it and flush it.” He directs as he hands the sheet to me.

“Okay.” I say after a moment. Nodding to myself, I know it’s necessary but…well Fuck It. I ain’t the President anymore. I flush the paper and turn to head out. “Gonna head back now, make sure everyone stands down.” I add, like the room might be bugged. “The other three will be here with you and Emma.”

Walking outta the room, I see Emma talking to Jake. He’s looking around, obviously uncomfortable in any situation where he’ll have to speak to anyone.

“Jake, go catch up with Jasper. Emma, Jake will wave you in real soon, sorry to do this to you, kitten.” I say, squeezing her shoulder as I head out. I call Vice back with orders to hold everything until I get there.

Jasper

I explain the situation to Jake, not mentioning the orders I gave to Flint. He’ll find out about those real soon.

“Get me the Doc,” I add next. “Gotta head home tonight.”

“Fuck,” He looks at me. “You sure?”

“Yeah, grab the boys but don’t fill them in yet.” I say. “Um, don’t say anything to Emma. I’m gonna need you all here as back up when she finds out.”

He laughs as he walks out. Emma rushes in immediately afterwards.

“Jas?” She looks panicked.

“Darlin’, everything’ll be fine. Gunner just caught on to some shit the Spiders’ have been pulling. Can we talk about it later?” I ask, not even trying to conceal my yawn. “Can you trust me on this?”

“Got room in there for me?” She asks, nodding towards the bed. I feel even worse knowing that she hasn’t left the hospital since I was shot, that if the nursing staff didn’t occasionally slip her hydrogen peroxide pads, she wouldn’t be tending the small cuts from the glass spray. The circles under her eyes, testify to how exhausted she is.

“Only, and always for you, Em.” I smile at her.

I’m woken by the doctor a bit later. I insist on being discharged and promise to handle all the follow up appointments once I get home; knowing I won’t have time for that shit. Not in the coming days.

Jake, Connal, and The Russian enter the room as the nurses are transferring me to a wheel chair. Emma, is standing to the side, visibly unhappy. Within minutes, we’re in my truck with Connal and Jake in the front. Mack hooked up a trailer to get their bikes back with us, there’ll be too much shit going on to wait for them.

Emma

“Darlin’?” Jaspers starts after we get him situated in the SUV. “Gotta brief the guys about what’s happened and what we’re going to do about it. Any chance I can get you to wear these?”

Jake hands back a box with a new set of noise cancelling headsets.

I snort and roll my eyes.

“Emma, this isn’t shit that gets discussed in front of Ol’ Ladies and I’m not asking for your opinion on any of it,” He continues in the firmest voice I’ve ever heard from him. “I don’t have time to waste, so we’ll talk club business in front of you this once but don’t get it in your head this’ll happen again.”

“Understood,” I say giving him major side eye, letting him know that I won’t undercut him in front of the men he leads, but we will be having a conversation later. He nods at me, understanding.

He starts talking and I am more than a little shocked at half of what I’m hearing. Sending women with VDs anywhere other than a hospital? I get angrier with every word but keep my mouth shut, until I get an idea that will help them.

“I’m really, really sorry,” I start. “But…”

“Emma!” He snaps.

“Drones!” I yell out before he can further reprimand me. It doesn’t sound like they thought of that and I’m sure it’s the safest way to solve their surveillance issue. “Drones can scout their HQ and some really expensive ones can drop stuff, didn’t Amazon consider using them?”

I stop talking and the men all sit staring straight in front of them.

“Your woman is right.” The Russian says, looking across me to Jasper.

“Text Wrench, get him to buy a dozen top of the line drones right now.” Jas looks across at Russian before smiling at me and squeezing my hand. “Fuck Emma, what else you got for us?”

“Just drones,” I put my head on his shoulder. “You’ll be careful not to hurt the women when you attack the Spiders’, right?”

“We may try to drop some explosives if we can figure it out with your idea, but just on their bikes or outbuildings, not the clubhouse where the women will be.” Jas assures me.

“You should really get a rocket launcher for times like this.” I tell him. This sets everyone off laughing. “What? They shot you in the head Jasper! I don’t care what it takes, I just keep thinking about those women who are being used like this.”

“Preacher’s daughter, my ass.” Connal deadpans from the driver’s seat.

Getting back to the clubhouse, Jas heads straight into his office and Jake carries our bags up to the room.

I only pause a moment before I got to search out Roy. Betsy points me in the direction of his room, suddenly I get nervous as I’m about to knock.

“Yeah?!” He yells out before opening the door. “Oh, Miss Emma! How’s Jasper?”

“He’s in his office,” I start without greeting him. “Can you keep an eye on him? He left the hospital against the doctors…”

“You have to be exhausted. I’ll stick to Jasper like a shadow, you get some rest and I’ll have Betsy bring you food in a couple hours?” Roy cuts in.

“Thank you,” I say, knowing I can trust Roy to look out for Jasper. “You’re always so good to me.”

“Hush now, Miss Emma,” Roy grips my hand, smiling. “Patched you up, now I’ll go make sure your man’s brains don’t leak out.”

Settling into Jasper’s bed, I fall into a deep sleep; waking later, Jasper is wrapped around me and I see a food tray on the dresser beyond him. Wanting nothing more than the bottle of water I see on it, I try to disengage myself.

“Em…” He mumbles groggily. “Y’okay?”

“Shhh,” I grab the bottle and slide back into bed.

“Those assholes were supposed to come wake me.” He says next, more alert.

“You needed your sleep, they’ll get you when it’s important.” I assure him. “I need you, too, Jas. I need you to be alright. Take the rest when you can get it.”

Jasper

I sigh and take a sip of the water she offers before pulling her back into my body. She’s been through so much in such a short time but her resilience is inspiring.

“Where should we get married, Emma?” I ask, trying to distract her from the trouble outside our door.

“Here, Jasper. Among your MC.” She says as she lifts one of my hands to lay a kiss across the knuckles.

“Our MC now, Darlin’,” I remind her. “You’re one of us now.”

She laughs softly at the thought.

“Can you just imagine the “Where Are They Now?” portion of my ten year high school reunion?” She grins at me over her shoulder. “Betcha no one saw this coming!”

“You gonna show me off?” I raise an eyebrow at her.

“I have to get things settled there, Jasper.” She sighs. “Other than that, I have no interest in returning there.”

“Jessup can have your money transferred to a local bank. When this settles down a bit, why don’t we go there and pack up anything you want?” I offer.

“I think I want to sell the house and land also, he can help me with all of that, right?” She asks.

“You sure about that?” I fully intend on her staying here but am surprised. “I know the past year was hard, but you grew up there?”

“There’s nothing left for me there, Jasper.” She rolls to face me. “I want to look into donating half of it to a local woman’s shelter, then the rest we hold onto for our children or emergencies.”

“You know how wonderful you are, don’t ya, Darlin’?” I lean down to kiss her. “I’ve got plenty to provide for you and any children, but if you want to keep it in an account; we don’t tell them about it. Maybe if our children want to go to college, that’s what we use if for, but I don’t want them growing up thinking they’ll get a pile of money one day.”

Nodding up at me she leans back for another kiss. Getting harder by the moment, I shift my hand over her breast, tweaking her nipple into a hard point before moving it lower.

“Jasper!” She squeals as I start to insert the tip of my finger into her folds. “You aren’t well!”

“I know, I’m in a LOT of pain,” I say as I grind my hardened cock into her hip. “Gonna need some relief.”

“You left the hospital early! And don’t you think I don’t know you have no intention of going to an actual doctor here!” She hisses, trying to evade my hands.

“Then you best be gentle with me,” I pull her head toward mine to distract her with a kiss. “Come on, don’t make me chase you, just jump on top.”

After a bit of coaxing, Emma slides onto my dick. She rides me on her own terms - slow and easy, as I lay back to enjoy the view. Bracing herself with one hand, she slowing slides her other hand down her body until she reaches her clit.

Seeing the blush spread across her face as she starts to rub her clit under my harsh gaze has my balls tightening up, I grit my teeth and hold back my orgasm.

“Easy, Jasper,” Emma pants, as I reach over for her hips.

“Cum for me, Em, I can’t hold on much longer.” I say as I shift my hands up to her breasts. I lightly pinch and tug her nipples as her fingers work harder on her clit.

“Now. Now. Now, Jas.” She cries out and I feel her tight sheath tighten around me. I grab onto her hips and thrust into her a few more times until my release overwhelms me. I feel my seed shoot in streams up into her as she collapses down onto my chest. “I love you.”

“Ditto, Darlin’. Fucking ditto.” I grit out, holding onto her for all I’m worth before I give into my body’s demand for more rest.
