Jealous Alpha by Jordan Silver (33)

EPILOGUE

As it turns out, I didn’t have to tie her down to my bed to breed her. A few days after our return, I noticed that she was running a slight fever.

Me being the overprotective bear that I am where she’s concerned insisted on taking her to the doctor. It was there we learned that she was already pregnant with my child.

The next few months were filled with terror, joy and excitement. I was accused of being even more of an ass during this time, but it made no difference to me what anyone said or thought.

Our daughter was now in kindergarten, completely healed and healthy and each smile on her face brought my wife more and more out of her shell.

I still haven’t told her that I’d heard her that night and I don’t know if I ever will. It was enough that I knew what she felt, what was in her heart.

So all I do now is make sure I give her nothing to worry about. I spoil the two of them rotten and had a head start on spoiling this new one whether boy or girl.

I was hoping for a girl, a little angel like her sister and mother, who had the best of both of us. Of course to be contrary she was looking forward to a son.

She claimed that once she had one of each that would be it. She was delusional. I won’t be satisfied until she gave me at least four more.

But now the closer we get to her due date, the more afraid I am. Her stomach was way too big for her small frame and the doctor had already told us that the baby was large.

I was so afraid that in her last month I refused to touch her, though she seemed hungrier for my cock than usual; figures.

Lucky for me, as soon as we learned she was pregnant I started training her ass to take my cock. Something we hadn’t tried yet, but I couldn’t wait to.

I’d promised myself not to come anywhere but deep inside her until I was sure she carried my baby, now that she did, it was time to have some fun.

And once I learned that pregnant women became somewhat inhibited in their last months of carrying, I became obsessed with the idea of fucking her ass.

Besides, the thought of not being close to her for any amount of time was unacceptable. It helped that she liked the idea.

I bought plugs and lubricants to make it easy for her to take me. Now I’ve stretched her ass open as wide and deep as her cunt.

Lately in her last month her tummy’s been getting in the way and the only way I can take her is on her side or her hands and knees.

But my fear of hurting her was keeping me out of her tight pussy, so more and more of late it’s her ass that has been getting the best of me.

We’d been married in her fourth month, just as she was starting to show, but only to me. It was only when she was naked that the proof of her pregnancy showed.

It started first in her breasts that were now fuller and more sensitive to my mouth. But then her tummy got this cute little paunch that my hands couldn’t seem to stay away from.

I spent hours over the following months playing with her growing stomach and getting to know my child.

Now he or she was ready to make an appearance and scaring the shit out of me. I sat at my desk lost in thought when my brother walked in.

“I thought you told your wife to stay home bro.” Why haven’t I killed him yet? His ass is always in my house and I think he’s timing her pregnancy almost as much as I am. The man’s obsessed with being an uncle.

He claims that since Amber prefers me already this next one is his. I don’t understand his logic but when have I ever?

He’d also gotten married in the last few months finally, and no matter how I begged my sister in law to keep his ass at their house, it was to no avail, since she too seemed obsessed with my unborn child.

It was true that I’d told Gia to stay her ass home her last month of pregnancy, but the hotel was almost finished and she refused to let anyone else take over from her.

“Why don’t you mind your own business?”

“So you still think you rule the roost huh. Even though you told her to stay home and she’s here.”

“Of course I do.”

“Okay, I’m not arguing with you. By the way, I saw your wife heading into the bathroom looking kinda green.”

“What? Why didn’t you say something sooner?” I rushed from the room and headed down the hallway, stopping only for a second before entering the women’s bathroom.

It was empty. I retraced my steps and went to her office with my heart in my lungs. She was sitting behind her desk looking none the worst for wear.

“Were you sick, how do you feel now?” I rushed around behind her desk.

“I’m fine, what made you think I was sick?” I lifted her from the chair and studied her eyes. “Gavin said he saw you going into the bathroom to throw up.”

I ran my hands soothingly along both sides of her burgeoning stomach where my child was trying out for the Olympics. At least that’s what it felt like in there.

“I was just a little hot that’s all, I’m fine now.”

“That’s it, you’re going home, let’s go.” She started to object but then she stopped suddenly and doubled over in pain.

I yelled for Gavin as I picked her up in my arms and headed for the door as quickly as I could with her in my arms.

The hallway was busy with people who’d heard my yell and Gavin was there, looking almost as green as he’d accused her of being.

“Okay, okay, I’ll call mom to pick Amber up from school, Celia and I will meet you at the hospital with her bag, go.”

As soon as she was settled in the car I told Stanley to put his foot on the gas and called her doctor.

Her cries of pain cut me deep and I felt helpless when all I could so was hold her hand and tell her to breathe.

I’d gone through this a thousand times in my head but nothing was going to plan. It was only because she needed me, because I knew she was afraid, that I was able to keep my shit together.

We were met with a stretcher and a team who rushed her inside. I don’t remember filling out the paperwork or answering any questions before being hustled into the delivery room.

Her cries for me tore at me and I promised myself I’d never do this to her again. I didn’t take my eyes off of her the whole time as she fought to bring my child into the world.

My eyes clouded with tears at the first cry from our child’s lungs, and then terror struck at the rush of movement and raised voices coming from the doctor and nurses attending her.

Only then did I look away. “What is it, what’s wrong?”

“It looks like we missed something.”

“Missed what, what do you mean? If anything happens to her…”

“You can threaten me later, right now you need to help your wife push she’s going back into labor.”

“What?” Her words made no damn sense but I went back to Gia and took her hand again.

“It’s okay baby I’m here, nothing’s going to happen to you.” I didn’t quite understand what was going on until she bore down hard and another little wail rent the air.

I looked from her to down between her legs where the doctor sat, in total shock. My head was spinning and my heart squeezed so tight in my chest I thought I would pass out.

“Congratulations, you have one of each. A healthy boy and now this little one we’ll look over to make sure all is well.”

“Oh Gia!” I couldn’t say another word, too choked up to speak, too lightheaded to think. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” I wanted to squeeze her but was afraid to hurt her so I settled instead for a taste of her lips.

Then we were both laughing and crying and I got up to go see my children who were being looked over.

The nurse passed me my son and I looked at him in awe before taking him to this mother. Then my little girl was handed to me and my heart just laid down at her feet. They were both the spitting image of their mother.

We were soon overrun by family who couldn’t wait to see the newborns. I hated it, hated having to give up my daughter even for a few minutes.

My mother didn’t care how I felt, she took my girl and I knew that look on her face. Her ass didn’t have any daughters so she had designs on mine. There were going to be battles ahead.

After all the excitement had died down and we were left alone with our children, we sat up together with them asleep in our arms.

Amber had just left with mom and dad as excited about her siblings as we were. We’d had some fears that she might not be able to accept the new baby since she’d been the only child for so long, but she didn’t seem to mind.

She had taken a special liking to her brother and proclaimed him hers. I guess she thought he was one of her dolls.

“Look at her Gia, she’s you all over.”

“It’s too early to tell Evan.” She must’ve said that to me ten times in the last few hours but I know what I see.

I was too excited to sleep so I spent the night sitting up in my chair next to her bed with one or the other of my children in my arms.

They were going home tomorrow and I had given Gavin the task of getting things ready for our return.

Since we’d only planned for one child, we needed to get another set of everything. Thankfully Celia and mom had helped her pick out the stuff for the nursery and knew where to get what was needed.

I didn’t sleep a wink the first few days after they were born, too worried about something going wrong.

The doctor claimed that they were all fine but what the hell does she know, she didn’t even know my wife was carrying twins for fuck sake.

I didn’t trust anyone to take care of them so I did it myself. By day three I crashed hard, the adrenaline finally giving out. I was overtired and stressed, but it turned out to be the best thing that could’ve happened to me.

Because I was so fixated on Gia and the babies, not to mention taking care of Amber, I’d neglected myself.

Apparently not eating and staying up for that many hours at a stretch was not a good idea. I’d been going on adrenaline thinking that I had everything under control, but I was wrong.

I’d just put my son down after taking him from his mother who’d fed the little pig. Our daughter had already been fed and put back in the bassinet their mother insisted on keeping next to our bed.

I turned back to go to her and the room spun. I heard her scream of terror before I hit the floor. What the fuck?

I woke up in a hospital bed with my wife crying next to me. My first thought was that she must be scared out of her fucking mind.

“Gia.” My voice came out in a hoarse croak. My whole body ached and there were drummers playing the banjo in my head.

“Gia.” I had to call her name again because she didn’t hear me the first time. Her head flew up from where it had been laying on my chest and her eyes found mine. Her poor little face was drenched in tears.

I pulled her up onto the bed next to me and wrapped my arms around her. “It’s okay baby I’m awake.” Her body trembled and she clutched at me. Her fear was real and I remembered her words from that night.

“Oh Evan I was so scared, please don’t leave me.” Her words were shaky and warbled as she fought to get them out. “I love you, I love you so much please…”

I held her head to my chest and closed my eyes. The joy that rushed through me overshadowed the pain. “Oh baby.” I rocked her in my arms, speaking to her gently, soothingly.

She shook so hard I had to hold on tight before she fell off the bed. “Baby I’m not going anywhere, I’m fine just a little tired is all.”

I was afraid that she was going to be the one needing medical attention if she didn’t calm down. “Look at me.” I turned her face to mine.

“I’m never going to leave you, understand? I’m going to be here with you and our children for a long-long time.”

Just then the doctor came in and reassured her that I was indeed fine and it wasn’t a heart attack like she’d feared.

Once he left and she was calm again I laid back with her in my arms. “Who’s looking after our children?”

“Your whole family has been taking turns going back and forth between here and there. The doctor said they want to keep you here overnight until you’re no longer dehydrated. What were you thinking Evan? How could you stay up all that time?”

“I wasn’t tired, I needed to make sure that you and our babies were okay.”

“Why, is something wrong that you’re not telling me?”

“No, you’re all perfectly fine, but I don’t want anything to happen to any of you.”

“Nothing’s going to happen to us we’re fine.”

“I know that now but I was still afraid of something going wrong.”

“You were afraid for nothing and made yourself sick. What would we do if something happened to you?”

“Nothing’s going to happen to me remember? The doctor just gave me a clean bill of health, by the way I’m not staying here.”

“What? you have to.”

“No I don’t.” I got out of the bed and found my clothes. She argued with me the whole time and even called in the nurses who had no luck keeping me there.

My woman had finally told me that she loved me, this was cause for celebration. I couldn’t take her since she’d just given birth but I’d be damned if I wasn’t going to take her home to our bed so she could tell me again.

After that day not a day goes by that we don’t say those three words to each other. She’d come more and more out of her shell after thinking she’d almost lost me.

She now seemed to take the stance to live each day to the fullest. It was a joy watching her overcome her fear.

Amber was completely fine and was like any other five year old. The twins were growing healthy and strong and there were no lingering after effects from my little fainting spell.

The more time went by the more she realized that she wasn’t some sort of jinx who killed off the people she loved.

By the time she got pregnant for me the second time I no longer harbored any real jealousy against the man she’d once been married to.

In fact, I was the one who told Amber about him from time to time. Now that I had my own children I can’t imagine them not knowing me or anything about me.

I had no doubt that my wife’s heart belonged to me. It showed in her every action where me and our little family was concerned.

It also helped that we were long past the two year mark, that I’d had more time with her that he had. Okay so I’m not completely over it, but she’s mine now and that’s all that matters to me.
