Naked Heat (Brothers of Mayhem) by Swafford, Carla (8)

CHAPTER EIGHT

Unable to withstand it another minute, Wolf lifted Sofia’s body above his swollen dick.

“Baby, I need to be inside you.” He thrust a finger deep and groaned. She was so hot and wet.

“Yes.” She started to move off him. He stopped her and grinned when she looked confused. “I think it would be best for you stay where you’re at and control this part. I want you so bad, I’m afraid I’ll hurt you if I let go.” He spoke the truth. The desire to hammer into her needed to be mastered. At least for their first time together.

He wrapped her fingers back around his dick.

“Hold me straight. Yeah. That’s it. Now ease down. Oh, yeah. Fuck.” He released a long moan, closing his eyes for a brief time from the pleasure. “You feel good.” Heat and slickness wrapped around him. “Oh, fuck. Move up and down. Yeah, that’s it.”

Ecstasy flushed her face as her eyes rolled up. He smugly began thrusting. Her beautiful breasts jiggled up and down. He could get used to that view. Unable to resist, he wanted to taste those hard little nipples again. He leaned down and sucked one into his mouth.

She screamed and her body clamped tight and released in succession until a valuable piece of his body wanted to explode. She felt so fucking good.

“Oh, my God.”

“Just call me Wolf.” He grinned down at her.

She blinked a couple times and pushed at his shoulder. “That’s just wrong.” And then she giggled.

He threw back his head, squeezing his eyes shut, and tried to hold on. Her giggling did something wonderful to the muscles clenching him.

“Fuck, Sofia. Do that again.”

“What?”

“Giggle. Not only do I love to hear it but you feel great when you do.”

“You are a strange man.”

He barely opened his eyes. She looked at him with amazement. No one had ever looked at him that way.

Fuck.

Holding her waist, he lifted her and then plunged back into her heat. She grunted. Damn, he needed to be careful with her. Even as ferocious as she acted, he was bigger and could hurt her.

“Are you okay?”

“Wolf, if you don’t hurry and fuck me hard right this minute, I’m going to dig my fingers into your sides until you can’t catch your breath.”

“Yes, ma’am.” Like he already knew, his kitten had claws. She would need them to survive in his world. With a twist, he lifted and pushed her onto her back. His rigid cock still inside her hot depths. She looked up at him with a softness that hardened him even more.

“What are you waiting for?” she asked with a teasing lilt.

He rocked in and out of her with leisurely strokes, trying to go easy at first, but when a finger jabbed a rib as a threat, he pumped into her. In seconds, her fingers dug into his shoulders instead and the little whimpers and moans drove him to continue to move faster, drilling her into the couch.

“Open your eyes and look at me.” He tried to make his tone gentle, but the words fell out as a command. Her eyelids snapped open. “That’s it. I wanted to make sure you knew it was me.”

Her forehead wrinkled. Then as if a light had come on. “Oh, you have no worries. I know it’s you.” The sweet way she said it left no doubt he’d found a special woman.

Arms wrapped around her, he held her tight against his chest as each wave pushed them over the edge. He refused to let her go and waited until the small tingles of pleasure faded. She felt small and fragile, but he knew better. She’d lied to protect him. She was his.

––––––––

If anyone had asked him what was the most beautiful sound in the world, he would say a Harley Davidson in any gear. But when he heard the roar of what sounded like ten hogs pulling up beside his house, he heard the sound of a death knell. Thankfully, not literally death—this time—but the end of their time alone together. He’d only been kidding himself into believing Easy wouldn’t find him there. The man seemed to know where every Brother landed.

He gently shook the soft woman in his arms. “Darling, time for us to dress. In about ten seconds we’ll have company.”

Sofia jerked and looked up with horror on her face.

Damn. That just pissed him off. He hadn’t wanted to see that look on her face again, not with him. He wanted to protect her, and he would.

“Shh. I’ll hold them off until you’re dressed. We’re safe. I refuse to let anyone see you like I have.” He smoothed dark curls out of her eyes and tucked them behind her ear.

“My cousin?”

“Not on motorcycles, baby. Easy and some of my Brothers.”

Pounding on the front door brought them to their feet.

As she scrambled into her clothes, he slipped into jeans. Not bothering zipping up, merely tucking to one side, he walked to the door, blocking a view of the living room. A benefit from his height and width of shoulders.

“About fucking time you answered the fucking door.” The obscene smile on Easy’s face gave away he knew what he was interrupting. He tried to shove his way in, but Wolf held his ground.

“Give my old lady some time to dress,” he said between gritted teeth.

Easy’s eyes narrowed. “I see with your mangled face, you’ve already pissed off one person. Do you really want to make it two?” The older man checked out Wolf’s black eye and swollen cheek. Before another question was shot at him, Sofia cleared her throat.

“I’m all decent,” she said with a touch of nervous tremor.

Easy shoved past him. There wasn’t much Wolf could do. If he complained, it would only push Easy to irritate him further.

“Chill,” Cutter said quietly as he stepped up beside him. “The boss won’t hurt her. Though he’s rough on his own women, he understands boundaries when it comes to other Brothers’ property.”

Bullshit. Wolf moved to stand next to Sofia.

Cutter always tried to play the diplomat. But really, who did he think he was talking to? Wolf was well aware that Easy had beaten and later killed his own old lady. Sure, their current Skull kept Easy on the straight and narrow. With the exception of beating the hell out of his son and then kicking him out of the club, Easy had behaved. In fact, the club had six new prospects, more than ever. Maybe their reputation of being hard-asses was getting around. People liked knowing they had someone protecting their backs.

But one thing he was sure of, if Easy had his way, Wolf would be out bad—in other words, kicked out of the club like Easy had done to his own son, and what he wanted to do to a cop’s brother.

So there he stood waiting to see if Easy would tick him off, knowing that the chapter’s president could withdraw the club’s protection for his old lady. And damn, what a fine old lady she made, chin up and gaze steady on one of the meanest sons-of-bitches. The woman was fearless, and she belonged to him.

“You’re Toro’s cousin.” Easy said nothing else.

“Yes.” Her tone was respectful and even. Smart girl.

Easy stared for a moment more. “Welcome to the Brothers of Mayhem.” Then he slapped Wolf on the shoulder. “The place is a dump.” Easy looked around. “We’re on our way to Trick’s house. He’s invited the whole club to his Christmas party. Pack up your old lady and come on. The bitches outside are probably freezing their asses off. No one likes cold pussy. Unless you’re a sick bastard.”

Then he walked out the door laughing at his own joke certain Wolf would follow.

––––––––

Before Sofia realized it, they’d arrived at Wolf’s uncle’s house. Shivering from the cold, she pulled the leather jacket tighter around her. The well-tended long drive should have forewarned her of the huge home. The two-story brick plantation-style house was beautiful.

The rough-looking men standing around with holstered guns and cradled rifles were another surprise. She thought her cousin distrustful of others, but it appeared Trick Savalas was borderline paranoid. Spotting a guard tower in the trees, she changed her mind. Make that full-blown paranoid.

“Why all the armed men?” she asked Wolf in a soft whisper.

Wolf looked around. He acted as if it were normal. Was it?

“My uncle is an asshole, and he’s got a lot of enemies who would love to take him out.” He pressed a hand to her back as the large front door opened.

Trick stepped out and greeted Easy and then turned to Wolf. “Come on inside. Damn, boy. Who used you as a punching bag?”

“Just a disagreement.”

“All righty then.” Trick merely grinned. “The rest of the boys are in the back room playing pool. Lots of beer in a tub in the sun room. We have ham, turkey, and some of the best damn chuck wagon beans you’ve ever put in your mouth. Who knew that Jennifer could not only give the best blow jobs, but cook too.” Trick leered at a shapely redhead around Sofia’s age. She stood in the kitchen blushing as they walked through to a large room with windows on three sides.

“Don’t tell them that.” Jennifer ducked her head. The overhead light shone on her blush.

“It’s the truth.” Trick punched Wolf’s arm. “Glad you came. I see you found her. Next time, chain her to your bed, ride her long and hard. That’ll keep her from finding the energy to run.” He roared with laughter.

Sofia’s face heated from the crude remarks. Did he really think that was funny? She looked up at Wolf.

He growled, scowling at his uncle.

“Fuck, Trick. Find something else to talk about.” Wolf stepped away, taking Sofia with him. “I’m hungry, and I’m sure Sofia is too.”

“Sure.” He chuckled. “Enjoy yourself.” The older man ambled toward where Easy stood.

“Sorry, Sofia.”

“Not your fault. Are you and your uncle close?”

“He practically raised me. My mom died when I was young. Dad traveled a lot for the family business, and when he was home, he wasn’t in any condition to watch over us. After he died in a car accident, Trick took me and my brother in.” He handed her a beer and opened his. “But hell, no, we’re not close. He’s a dangerous bastard. Don’t let his smiles and jokes fool you. He’ll slice a man’s throat and laugh while he lays bleeding to death.”

With that horrifying picture in her head, she followed Wolf to a vacant chair. He sat and pulled her onto his lap. She draped her arms around his neck and squeezed. The thought of a small boy growing up around a man like Trick made her sick. How in the world did Wolf turn out to be normal? That was, as normal as could be expected in a MC.

“Don’t worry.” His gaze apologetic. “Sorry, sugar. Really, he loves women. Maybe too much, but he’d never harm you. I’ve told him you’re under my and the club’s protection. He’ll honor it.”

Why didn’t that make her mad? Maybe because she liked knowing Wolf wanted to protect her. Angel, Hector, and Ramon had been more worried about Thirty-Second business and never worried about where she was or how she felt about anything. Most of her life she’d been on her own, it was nice to have someone worrying about her.

Wolf nodded toward the line of people near the food.

“When everyone has filled their plates, go fix us one. We’ll share. I’ll eat whatever you put on it.” He tightened his hold of her waist and took another swallow from the beer in his other hand.

She sipped at the beer. She’d never acquired a taste for the stuff, but she was thirsty. Another sip helped. Besides, no way did she want to leave him to get another drink in this crowd.

The room was decorated prettily. So far, she’d counted three Christmas trees. A tinge of guilt hit her. By now she normally had a tree up. If she didn’t put one up for her cousin, he would never have one. Such a humbug. But then again, if Wolf hadn’t kidnapped her, one would be standing in Hector’s living room. Of course, with the attack, she and the tree might be damaged beyond repair. Okay. She needed to quit worrying about everything. Enjoy the short time she had with Wolf and let everyone take care of themselves. How many times would she have to remind herself?

Maybe tomorrow she would find a way to go back to her cousin’s house and explain things to him. She wasn’t sure what she had with Wolf, but she knew she didn’t want it to end anytime soon.

“Babe, we’ll leave after we eat. The boss should be tied up with Mindy then.”

Sofia looked over at Easy and a thin blonde. The girl had bruises on her arms and one cheek was swollen.

“What is up with old men like Easy and Trick beating their women?” Not that she saw bruises on Jennifer, but it wouldn’t surprise her. She should stay out of it, but could never live with herself if she didn’t say something.

“I’ve never known Trick to beat on women. Knock them out with drugs so he could fuck their limp bodies, yes, but he gave that up years ago. He’s changed a lot over the years. That is, that’s what I heard. But Mindy, she refuses to leave Easy. The man is a mean motherfucker. But the woman is nuts. She claims she fucking loves him.” Wolf upended the can, finishing the last drop. “Even Cutter tried to get her to split, but she threatened to tell Easy.” Disgust tightened each word coming out of his mouth.

“It’s a hard decision to make.”

She felt his gaze searching her face.

“Did that asshole ex of yours hit you?” He took the nearly full can from her hand and placed it on a table.

Hundreds of times she’d told herself she had nothing to be embarrassed about. It wasn’t her fault. “Doesn’t matter. I’m no longer married to him.”

“He did.” Certainty was in his voice. “The asshat will never get within a hundred yards of you. I’ll show him how it feels to be bleeding.” He cupped her face and lifted her chin. “No one will ever hurt you again.”

His beautiful light blue eyes stared into hers. How could this handsome, caring man want her? If her ex could’ve found another way to move up in Hector’s organization, he would’ve never married her.

Wolf pressed a kiss to her lips.

Did Wolf have an ulterior motive? Was she a means of reaching her cousin and destroying the Thirty-Second?

“I swear, Sofia. I won’t let anyone do that to you again.” He squeezed her to him and then held the side of her face to his shoulder as he lifted her wrists, kissing the marks there. “Sorry, babe. I promise to never do that to you again.”

“You’ve already apologized and I’ve forgiven you. Anyway, if you ever try it again, I’ll shoot you myself.” She rubbed her cheek carefully against his bruised chest.

She stayed in that position for a few minutes, loving the tenderness and closeness while chaos swirled around them. Men walked over and talked with Wolf. She closed her eyes and soaked in his warmth, letting his rumbly voice lull her to sleep.

“Wake up.” Her comfy bed moved. “Sofia, let’s eat.” Quickly, it all came back to her. She started to get up.

“No. Stay here and I’ll fix us a plate.” She felt him lifting her and then softness cushioned her.

She managed to open her eyes to slits. The party was in full swing and the place was crowded. She watched Wolf’s tight ass move away to a large horseshoe-shaped bar where the food was spread out. When he was making his way back, she straightened.

“Hold this while I get some drinks.” He handed her a piled-high plate of food that smelled wonderful. She couldn’t remember the last time she ate.

He returned just as she finished the slice of turkey.

“Stand up,” he said. “Now sit on my lap.” He placed a fresh can of beer on the end table and handed her a soda. “I don’t want you passing out on me again.”

“I’m not much of a drinker.” She was pulled back onto his lap while holding the plate.

His wolfish grin caused her heart to pitter-pat.

“No shit, Sherlock.” He chuckled. “I’ll take that.” He took the plate. “I see you enjoyed the turkey. Trick smokes a mean turkey. Same thing with the ham.” Wolf bit into the meat. “Here.” He lifted a forkful of mac and cheese.

For the next few minutes, Wolf ate and fed her as she sat on his lap.

Though it felt strange to be cared for in such a way, she had to say she enjoyed the closeness. No one had cared for her in so long. He treated her as if she mattered a lot to him. Even when she was handcuffed, she never felt threatened by him. A little scared by his driving, but not him personally. Feeling contented and loved, she smiled and leaned her head against his shoulder.

By the time they finished eating, Easy’s attention was fully on Mindy. Wolf whispered they could sneak out without being noticed. She was all for it. She had a wicked desire to run her hands all over him.

They had made it all the way to the foyer before being stopped.

“Hey, where are you two off to? The temperature has dropped. You’ll freeze your asses on that bike.”

She glanced over her shoulder.

Trick stood behind them. A serious look on his face.

“It’s not far,” Wolf said, resignation already in his voice.

“Do you really want to freeze sweet thang’s butt off? Anyway, Easy just called church. Something has come up. You sure don’t want to be missing. From what I’ve heard, you been in a lot of trouble while I was gone.”

“You know I’m getting tired of everyone’s concern with my welfare.”

Trick shrugged. “Stash your old lady in your old room and come back down for church. He’s holding it in the sunroom. All the other old ladies and bitches will stay in the kitchen cleaning up.”

She bit the side of her mouth. Calling a woman a bitch irritated her in so many ways. She would never understand why people believed it was acceptable. Sighing, she ignored the ignorant man. Leaving wasn’t an option at that moment. She knew Wolf needed to stay.

“I’ll help the other women clean up.”

Wolf’s gaze went to hers. She dipped her head in acceptance. In a way, his uncle’s worry was sweet. She had no illusions his true concern was of her, no matter what he said.

“I’ll be back in a few minutes.” He leaned down and whispered, “Don’t leave. It won't be safe.” And then he kissed her cheek and walked back into the other area of the house.

“So you’re related to Toro,” Trick said.

She blinked. Her gaze darted to Wolf’s retreating back.
