Stranded - A Second Chance Romance by Piper Phoenix (8)

Jack

I slowly rose out of the water face to face with an angry Penny. Her eyebrows were squeezed tightly together.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

I looked around, worried that something had happened while I was underwater. She sucked in a shaky breath.

“Nothing.”

“Well, that’s a lie. Did something happen?”

“It’s just that,” she stammered, “you were under there so long.”

I smiled. “I was not. Were you worried about me?”

“Don’t be an ass. I just didn’t want to have to save you, or worse be stuck here on this island alone.”

“That would be worse?” I swam away from her turning my back toward her. “Yep. You were worried about me.”

Maybe things weren’t as bad off between us as I thought. A lot of time had gone by since my major screw up. It was possible that she was willing to move on.

I knew she wouldn’t ever be with me again, not like we had been, but maybe we could be friends. Or whatever.

But did I want to be friends? Not really, I mean that was a great part of our relationship, but what I really wanted was to rip that soaking wet, practically see-through bra off her and feel her soft, puckered skin underneath my hands.

I would have given anything to press my lips to hers, feeling the warmth of her mouth with my tongue. And if I could slip my cock

“This feels so good!” Penny called out popping my fantasy like a pin to a balloon.

I swam over next to her and watched as she ran her fingers through her wet hair. Beads of water dripped down her neck over the tops of her breasts.

Her eyes popped open and turned when she’d caught me looking at her gorgeous body. Surely she couldn’t blame me.

Penny cupped some of the water into her hands and poured it into her mouth. She pressed her lips together and tipped her head back as if she were in ecstasy.

Christ.

“Try some,” Penny said lowering herself into the water so only her neck and head were above the surface.

I took a drink and quickly realized how thirsty I was. “I wish we had something to store this in.”

Penny smiled. “I don’t think it matters. Pretty sure I’m staying in here until help arrives.”

“You’re going to sleep in the pond?” I asked with a smile.

“Hmm,” she said wearing a cute grin. “I guess that’s probably not a good idea.”

“You know,” I said looking over at the big leaves we’d walked through. “Those would make a good roof.”

Penny started swimming out of the pond. I stared at her amazing body as she stepped out of the water. The sun glistening on every droplet of water. My cock throbbed at the sight of her.

I couldn’t deny it any longer. No matter how badly I should, I just couldn’t do it. I wanted her. I wanted her bad.

Penny knelt down and started pulling at the leaves. “How many do you think we need? What else do we need?”

“Some long, sturdy sticks,” I said stepping up beside her, not bothering to hide my erection. I wanted her to know. I wanted her to see what she was doing to me.

Penny’s lips parted as she glanced up at me. She cleared her throat and stood up holding the leaves tightly to her body.

“Let’s find some sticks,” she said clearing her throat.

Penny turned and started walking back toward the beach. I grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to my body. Her breathing was erratic.

I looked down into her eyes, and she bit her lip. “You’re going the wrong way.”

“Oh,” she said breathlessly. When she blinked and didn’t take her eyes off of me, I knew her mind had gone to the same place mine was. “Jack.”

My name on her lips was enough to send me into a frenzy. I had to taste her lips. Would they be as sweet and succulent as I remembered? I’d often fantasized about her over the years, and now here she was… what the fuck was I waiting for?

I wrapped my arms around her and pressed my lips to hers. Our mouths moved hungrily together as if an appetite we’d both had for years needed to be satiated.

I wanted her. All of her. I slid my hands up her shoulders and over her neck. Penny shivered and stepped away from me.

She blinked several times and let out a heavy sigh. “We should work on the shelter.”

I exhaled slowly, trying to get myself under control. At least she hadn’t slapped me.

“Okay,” I said following her as she walked back to the beach.
