Sugarplum: A Holiday Romance by Angela Blake (8)

Chapter Eight

“Where are you going?” Chace asked when he awoke and realized Julie was already out of the bed, halfway dressed. She was putting on her shoes and fixing up her makeup by the time he sat up.

“I need to get back and help Mel and Ned,” she answered. “There’s a big wedding coming up and I need to start talking to the hotel the bride and groom are going to stay in.”

Chace bit down on his lip, stared at her real hard, and then got out of the bed, allowing the blanket to fall to the floor. Exposed, he was in plain sight for Julie to see and she definitely felt her gaze draw towards the sight of his gorgeous, muscle-bound body. With his hair getting long and the muscles rippling across his chest and abs, Chace somewhat reminded her of an even steamier version of Fabio, if that was even possible.

Of course, the sight of his humongous toy dangling between his legs made her nearly drool in excitement. It was getting hard with just the way she stood there and stared at it. To further entice her, Chace reached down and began to stroke his member. He started slowly but as his erection got stiffer his pumps got faster.

“Stop it!” Julie shouted with a big smile on her face. She was giggling and she did try to cover her eyes but she couldn’t help but gasp and peek at him. “Oh my God, Chace, stop it. You’re making me wet here. Don’t blame me if I suck you out dry and then some.”

Chace smiled and slowed down with his strokes. He didn’t let go, however. “Babe, your pretty little mouth around this is like an advanced Christmas gift no matter how you put it.”

Julie laughed and walked over to give his cock a luscious kiss on the head, leaving a mark from her red lipstick. She then got back up and gave Chace a lick on his lips. “Call me, okay? I’ll let you know when we’re done with work and that jazz.”

“You better, girl, we still have practice to finish,” Chace pointed out as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. “You take care now.”

Julie reached down and gave his cock a sudden squeeze before she turned around to head out for the door. “I love you, Chace Matthews.”

“I love you too, Julie Evans.”

More than content, Julie gave one more kiss and then headed out. She had to take the bus back to their apartment but when she did get home she found Melissa at the living room, on her laptop, sorting through their work documents.

Melissa spotted her first the moment Julie walked in and she let out this really long, low whistle. “Damn, you look like you just won the lottery. Was the sex really that good?”

Julie burst out laughing. “You know how good those donuts are from Old Philly’s?”

“No freaking way,” Melissa feigned shock. “Those donuts are the very definition of the phrase ‘better than sex’ so you better have something to backup such a bold claim.”

Julie sat beside Melissa and stared at the laptop. “That’s the couple? Wow, the groom looks like he belongs in a zombie movie.”

“I know right? He could easily win best zombie of the year award with those freaking eyebrows.”

“Zombie? I was hoping he’d play the rotting corpse of a guy with his brains already munched on. Imagine it: you can start with an establishing shot showing a bunch of plague-ridden rats munching on his open skull before the focus shifts to the background where a band of survivors are busy shooting at a bunch of fast-moving undead.”

Melissa laughed and set aside her laptop for a moment. She then looked at Julie one more time and commented. “Honestly though, you really are glowing, you know that? Whatever it is you’re doing there with Chace it’s working. You look like a million bucks.”

“It’s the sex.”

“Of course it is,” Melissa echoed. “See, now you want that lingerie I showed you a while back, huh? Told you you’ll need it the day you remember what a man is.”

Julie snapped her fingers. “Oh yeah, you did explain what guys were. I just wasn’t sure about it because it sounded like a dream. I thought those things were fantasies or at the very least some kind of evil abomination. Why do big cocks and big muscles have to go with little brains and giant egos?”

Melissa shrugged and leaned back on the couch. “Because if it were otherwise then they’d be a girl and we can’t have that happening. We need to fuck and while I can swing the other way I still need a big, thick, juicy dick.”

“Serious needs for desperate times,” Julie lamented with a serious tone. “Well, anyway, let’s get down to business. I want to finish this job so I can go back to paradise for a bit and spend more time with Chace.”

Melissa agreed and took her laptop again so she could continue on researching for the event they were organizing. She then feigned to sob and shed a tear. “This is it. You’re finally ready to leave the cuckoo nest. How quickly you’ve grown.”

“You have trained me well,” Julie patted her on the shoulder. “I will do you proud.”

“Go then, padawan, you’re now truly ready. Just remember the usual tip: when all else fails, moan loudly.”

They both laughed but Julie understood the underlying truth in their conversation. It was time to let go of her attachment with Melissa for a bit and try committing herself once again to Chace. It was risky, especially since she and Chace did get hurt before, but it was a risk that she knew was well worth trying. Knowing this, she got to work.

***

A good three days has passed and Julie found herself lying on the bed staring at her phone at 4 AM. Two days ago she was awake at this hour, busy chatting with Chace. Yesterday she was awake at this hour but their conversation was not as active as it was the previous night. This time, however, there wasn’t a single message at all. Chace last messaged her at around midnight but she knew he was still awake because his icon indicated he was still online, just not active.

“Hold on, I’m just going to finish up this last bit of work for my client,” read the last message he sent her. “It’s just a short code for the homepage. I love you.”

That was four hours ago. He was still online but he hadn’t messaged her yet. Julie pondered about it and for a good long hour she debated on whether or not she should message him first. Maybe he was asleep but his messenger app could still be on. Maybe he fell asleep with his phone in his hand.

She wouldn’t know for sure until she sent him a message. The only problem with that idea was that there was the off-shoot chance that Chace might be awake and he’d get annoyed with her constant bugging. Chace was the kind of guy who didn’t particularly like being bugged whenever he was working and she learned that the hard way throughout their years being together. Now that they were working things out and getting back, she didn’t want to ruin everything by turning into the nagging bitch yet again.

And so she waited until at long last, by 6 AM, it was too much to bear and she decided to let it slide. Julie fell asleep and didn’t wake up until much later in the day. When she did open her eyes, she was surprised to see Chace did message her but it was around noon.

“Better late than never,” she whispered to herself when she read his greeting. It was so casual too, like he didn’t even guess how she had been waiting for him. She let it go since there was no way he could have known she’d stay up at night waiting for him.

When she and Chace met up the following day she didn’t bring it up. They spent the day out watching a movie and dining in one of the fancier parts of town. It was one of those moments when Julie felt grateful they had a lot of clients recently because it gave her the cash she needed to pay for something like this. The last thing she needed was to feel even more reliant on Chace.

Yet even during their date she noticed Chace was constantly on his phone, checking work and talking to clients. She knew he was always busy and that he wasn’t just ignoring her. However, she couldn’t help but feel like she was being pushed away. This was exactly what drove her over the edge last time.

Today, however, she hoped she could finally spend real quality time with him. She dropped by his place to continue practicing their dance and this time around she decided to dress up in a way that would really keep his eyes on her. Julie arrived at his place wearing a jet black top with a dangerously low neckline that showcased the full breath of her cleavage and then paired it with a skirt that was just begging for a strong gust of wind to blow and expose her.

Chace definitely noticed how sexy she was in her outfit and made it very clear the moment she stepped into his home. “Jules, you continue to impress to this day. I don’t know if we should be busting our moves on the dance floor or in the bedroom.”

“If I do a little dance on my own, right here, would you be able to make up your mind?” Julie asked as a follow-up. “Hint: the right answer is to pick me up and bang me in the bedroom.”

Chace laughed and he took her by the hand. Contrary to their little joke, however, he did pursue teaching her more regarding their dance. In no more than fifteen minutes he had Julie tapping away and doing the Cha-cha.

“There you go,” he commented during the middle of their practice. They were doing the basic moves while occasionally letting her twirl during the back steps. “See? You’re getting the hang of it. We’ll perfect this tonight and then tomorrow we’ve got to practice the two big highlights. Once we get those two set and done we’re ready for the reunion party.”

Julie broke off from his hold and then rushed over to her small handbag. “Oh, speaking of the party. I know we’re not supposed to exchange Christmas gifts yet but I figured this one we can do early.”

“Hey, that’s unfair,” Chace protested. “I didn’t know we’re exchanging gifts today. I don’t have anything ready unless if you count a good time in bed an extraordinary gift. If that’s the case then babe, you know I’m ready.”

That got Julie smiling. She could feel the warmth of satisfaction just filling her insides when she heard him say that. It felt so good to hear Chace say these things again. She thought she would never get the chance given what she did to him before. She thought he would always be mad at her.

From her handbag she produced a small brown bag. It had no Christmas decorations or any of the usual ribbons and greeting card on it. It looked like a regular, plain, old brown bag. She handed it to Chace.

“A good time in bed is exactly what the doctor ordered,” she told him with a naughty smile on her face.

Chace opened the bag and found the kinkiest little lingerie piece inside. Along with it were a red gag ball and some pink fur handcuffs. There was a note as well.

“Will you have me for Christmas, handsome?” the note read.

Chace glanced back at Julie and rushed up to give her a kiss on the lips. He said no words and allowed his tongue to tell her exactly how he felt. Before she knew it her lips had parted and their tongues clashed and danced within her mouth. The warmth of his breath and the intensity of his body pressing down against hers were sending her mind off the edge. It was like every inch of her was being electrified but somehow in a very good, very relaxing way. It was as if she was intoxicated by something beyond alcohol and the like.

“O-oh, I guess we’re doing this first then,” she exclaimed when she felt Chace press his hips against her and immediately she felt his erection. He was hard and ready for some action.

“Oh, you know it. I’m addicted to you Jules. I always have been and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t want anyone else but you.”

The words were like music to her ears.

“Want me to put it on now?” she asked. As she stood there she wiggled her bum and seductively gestured with a finger for him to step in closer. Chace crept towards and he did hand her the bag.

“I’d love it,” he answered. “After all this time you still find ways to surprise me, Jules. Who would’ve guessed you’ve got a kinky side to you?”

Julie laughed but she did point out a reasonable answer to that. “Melissa would.”

“She doesn’t count. You two talk to each other all the time it must be like talking to your own reflection.”

Julie shook her head. “I’m just… plain old me. Melissa is a constantly moving ball of fire. I still don’t know where she gets all that energy of hers and it’s even more puzzling given how she’s even bigger than I am!”

“That’s true,” Chace agreed. “Mel can be one heck of an entertainer with her machine gun mouth and her never-ending supply of puns.”

Julie took the bag and first took out the lingerie piece. It was a one-piece babydoll nightgown and the beauty was that the cups for the breasts could be ripped off. There was also a portion at the bottom that could be detached, giving Chace easy access to her without having to take off the whole attire.

“Give me a second,” she instructed as she slowly took off her blouse. She tossed it over to the side of the living room couch and began undoing the fastened clips of her bra.

Buzz!

Chace reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Someone was calling. “Take your time, babe, I need to answer this one real quick.” He then stepped out of the living room and into the kitchen where he could discuss business.

“Oh w-wait, no, no, no,” Julie tried to stop him but by then Chace was already out and busy on the phone. Crossed, Julie let out a groan of disgust but figured she could use the time to get dressed. “Let’s see you do that when I’m wearing all this on.”

She took the lingerie, the gag ball, and the cuffs then headed to the bathroom. She locked the door behind her and stared for a minute in front of the big mirror. “Julie Evans, is there something wrong with the way you look? I know I’ve seen Chace look at me with those pervy eyes like he wants to fuck my brains out but there are times where he’d rather masturbate to his fucking phone more than me. Let’s see him do that again when I’m wearing this.”

Julie quickly removed her clothes, including all her undergarments, and tossed them into the brown bag. She then took her lingerie and slipped it on. It was so revealing but in a way that made her feel even more seductive than usual. The piece was showing enough to get people interested but it hid the finer details that would drive men insane.

With that one she took the red ball gag, popped it into her mouth and then strapped it tight at the back of her head. She couldn’t speak with this ball in her but that was entirely the point. All she could do now was moan and plea for him to keep having his way with her. All she could do was drool in ecstasy when he’d thrust his massive toy deep into her flesh.

To finish the look, like icing on a cake, she took the cuffs and locked one on her left wrist. The other she kept loose and hanging but the key she kept tucked between her breasts, right in the center of her cleavage.

After one final look in the mirror she stepped out and headed through the living room. She looked around but Chace was nowhere to be found. She went to the kitchen, which is where he was earlier, but he was no longer there.

“Where in the world are you?” she thought as she started checking out every room and door in the apartment. It was to her utter disappointment to discover him in his home office, seated by the desk, talking to the phone while checking his laptop and a pile of paperwork.

Julie felt a rush of both anger and dismay. She was frustrated and even when she stood in the doorway, wiggling her hips and caressing her tits to draw his attention, Chace was still too distracted to even notice. It was like she didn’t even exist. It was just him and his work from this point on, a reality that was immediately sinking into Julie’s mind now.

“Chace?” Julie called out after she removed the gag in her mouth. He couldn’t hear her. “Chace!”

She shouted a little louder and then again but now even louder than before. He still didn’t notice her until finally she slammed the door shut and began to walk back to the bathroom.

“Jules? Babe?” she could hear him calling out to her. She didn’t care. Julie stormed into the bathroom and with tears flowing down her cheeks she quickly changed back into her regular clothes.

“Babe?” Chace called out from the other side of the door. “What’s wrong? I couldn’t hear you. I was on the phone. What were you saying?”

She took the gifts she bought and tossed them into the bathtub. It was up to Chace to clean this all up. As far as she was concerned, he could shove the gag ball down his throat.

“I deserve better than this,” she told herself when she finally pushed out of the bathroom and shoved Chace out of the way.

“Hey! What the heck’s going on?” he demanded as he chased after her. They stormed out of the apartment and it took Chace a moment to catch up to her at the parking lot. Snow was falling and both of them instantly felt the freezing cold. Julie didn’t mind it any attention but it did bother Chace. He eventually reached her right as she was stepping into her car. “What the heck’s wrong with you? Come on, step inside. It’s freezing out here!”

Julie looked at him with fury emanating from her very eyes. She scoffed at his comment. “What the heck’s wrong with me? No; what the heck’s wrong with you? That’s the real question here, you fuck. You’re doing it all over again. It’s just happening again. I can stand out here in the snow all freaking day and it would still be a summer’s day compared to the cold black region of your rotten heart.”

Chace had no clue what she was talking about. He looked at her with a blank expression, confused and unsure of what was happening. “Babe, I was just on the phone and the next thing I know there you are walking out in a fit. Please, just take a moment to explain to me what I’m doing wrong here. Don’t push me away.”

“Chace, babe, you’re the one pushing me away,” she replied. Chace’s jaw dropped but before she could really smack into his face the reality of the situation she merely hopped into the car and slammed the door shut.

Julie pulled the car in reverse and began to make her way out of his garage. Chace did try to stop her, running up to the door and tapping on the window, but before long she was moving too fast and eventually she left him in the middle of the street.

“Fuck you, damn it,” Julie cursed under her breath. “I can’t believe I let a single chance meeting screw me like this. Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you!”

She looked into the rearview mirror and watched as his figure quickly faded. Within minutes she was out of the neighborhood and back into the comfortable realm of the highway. Without looking back she drove straight back home, never stopping for anything, not even gas.

Ned was nowhere to be seen but Melissa was sprawled on the couch watching a horror film. Well, it seemed like a horror film but even with the ten seconds that Julie caught as she arrived it looked more like a cheesy gore-fest with horrible actors and no budget for decent special effects.

“Hey, did the SyFy channel decide to give up and just make movies with their lunch money?” Julie asked her as she sat down beside her. She scooted over and handed Julie her bowl of popcorn. Most of it had already been eaten and what was left was drenched in hot butter and salt.

Julie took a handful of popcorn and stuffed the food in her mouth, hoping she could hide the tears and sobs. Despite her best efforts, Melissa still noticed and quickly sat up to check on her.

Melissa placed a hand on Julie’s shoulder. “Hey, are you okay? What the hell happened to you?”

“Fuck, Mel, it’s happening again,” Julie answered. “It’s happening all over again. Chace doesn’t give a shit about me, I can feel it. He’s just saying all the right things because he doesn’t want to hurt me. He doesn’t me to blame him.”

Melissa raised an eyebrow in suspicion. “Wait, what do you mean? I don’t get it. Start making sense, Jules, because you’re sounding like an alien from the wrong Mars movie.”

Julie hastily wiped her eyes, accidentally smudging her makeup, and then looked at Melissa in remorse and pain. “He’s been staring at that fucking phone all day again. He did it last the other fucking day too.”

“It can’t be that bad, Jules. Maybe you’re just over-thinking things.” Melissa rubbed her hand up and down her back, trying to calm Julie down.

That’s when Julie snapped. “No! I’m not over-thinking this, Mel. I know I can be a little too much to handle at times but not this. The other day he and I were making out and I thought we’d have a good night but then his phone vibrated and lo, and behold, all he did afterwards was chat with his clients. He freaking forgot all about me.”

Melissa still wasn’t buying it. “Maybe it was really important. You know he deals with clients abroad and the like. I mean, if he still runs the same web designing and SEO business since we last got to hang out a few years back. He has to adjust to their time zones – not them to him.”

Julie made a fist and shook it with such force Melissa scooted a bit away. “No, Mel, I’m telling you he was pushing me away. Today I decided to do something different and so I got him a Christmas gift – me in lingerie with furry cuffs and a gag ball. Like come on, how many girls would dress up so kinky for their guys, right? But no – he ignored me and was just on the phone doing business.”

“Girl, if you were wearing anything other than the green sweater he bought for you three years ago even I would bang the living the shit of you. It would be the Fourth of July in December,” Melissa seemed to have gotten Julie’s point. “So what did you do? Just change your clothes and drive out of there like you’re Bonnie and Clyde but without Clyde?”

Julie nodded and wiped off her tears. “He didn’t even have a clue why I was so upset leaving. I tried to tell him again and again that I don’t like it when he closes himself in like that. It pushes me away and I don’t know what to do when I’m just standing there like a helpless bystander instead of being right in his arms, where I should be.”

“I worry about you sometimes,” Melissa replied. “If you keep going like this you might just crack one day and I’ll walk into your room only to find you staring blankly at the wall or mumbling mumbo-jumbo to an imaginary rival.”

“Are you saying I’ve lost my mind?”

Melissa shook her head. “I’m saying you will lose it if you don’t fix this issue with Chace.”

“Fuck Chace,” Julie shot back. “I’d rather go with that pervert, Dorian, than to deal with Chace any further. At least with Dorian I know I’ll get the time and attention I want and need.”

“He’ll also degrade you, call you a slut in public, and he’ll fuck you only to please himself but not you,” Melissa tried to reason with Julie but the latter wasn’t having any of it.

Julie just waved it off. “At least he’d be giving me attention and good sex to boot. I don’t get either from Chace lately and even when we do have sex he always seems to be in such a hurry, like he’ll die if he’s not on that stupid phone of his.”

“Jules, listen to what you’re saying. You’re starting to sound like those reality TV stars who have way too much self-pity. You’re becoming a Kardashian, sweetie, and it’s dumb.”

“Shut it, Mel. I’m fucking serious here, why are you trying to make me laugh?”

“It’s what I’m here for, love bug,” Melissa answered and she wrapped an arm around Julie. “I’m the most annoying shithead to be your housemate so deal with it. You can either cry here, with me, and listen to me rant about how you’re turning into an MTV puppy or you can do two other options. One: you can go back to Chace and try to fix the issue. Two: you can get back in your car, let’s go to a bar, and hook up with some random hot guy… maybe a sexy Latino stripper if I get lucky.”

Julie laughed so hard she coughed out snot and had to dry her face from the tears and ruined mascara. When she finally composed herself she turned to Melissa. “Okay, let’s get fucking drunk. It’s Christmas time, I want to find myself some hunk with lips I can dunk my tongue in.”
