Sugarplum: A Holiday Romance by Angela Blake (9)

Chapter Nine

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Julie asked Melissa. They sat in the latter’s car and were in the parking lot for the Caliber Rodeo, a country bar with a live band, small-time gambling tables, pool and darts.

Julie was dressed in a simple pair of denim shorts – they were a little ripped in some parts and Melissa said it was just to get more guys to stare at her – and a white blouse with the lapels and upper buttons open wide. She wore her ankle-high boots and a let her hair drop down instead of tying it in a bun.

Melissa, who absolutely did not tell Ned where they were going, wore jeans and a plaid shirt. She did her hair in pigtails and wore a really nice – and expensive – pair of aviators that Julie just didn’t deem practical. The skies were grey, there was light snow, and the bar was bound to be dark inside. She wore them anyway and to her benefit Melissa did look astounding in them.

“Of course, it’s a good idea,” Melissa replied after shutting down the car and adjusting her glasses. “You want to forget Chace but you still need to get down and dirty with a hot hunk. This is the place to bring on the filthy, honey. Trust me – this is where I picked up Ned for the first time. Cute little idiot was desperately trying to impress me with his non-existent dart skills.”

Julie let out a soft, nervous chuckle. She still wasn’t really sure if she wanted to do this but there really wasn’t any other option than to sit at home and cry in a corner. If she was going to be miserable she might as well flirt around and drag someone into her hole too.

“Fine, let’s do this,” she told Melissa and got out of the car. She was instantly blasted with the cold kiss of the winter air and she immediately regretted not bringing a jacket. Melissa didn’t bring one either but she had the common sense of running straight for the bar’s doors the moment she left the car. Julie followed suit but now she was shivering from the sheer cold.

“Go on in, you two look like you’ll freeze in a matter of seconds,” the bouncer told them right as they approached. He opened the door for them and Julie was pleased to see that Caliber Rodeo was a lot more decent than what she expected.

It didn’t even take them long to get some VIP treatment. Julie feared she wouldn’t get some attention here but apparently every guy in there wanted a girl with some meat on her bones instead of the really skinny types mostly portrayed on television shows and movies. In the first fifteen minutes alone she counted four different guys who were looking their way.

Melissa ordered herself a cold glass of beer and Julie settled with a shot of gin and tonic, a classic mix that she took pride in being able to hold in. It was when taking her third shot that a man came by and asked if he could sit beside her.

“Excuse me, I just can’t help myself when I see a fine lass like you drinking so hard,” the man greeted as he walked up and got right up next to Julie. “The sight gets me a little hard too, if you don’t mind my saying so.”

Melissa giggled and poked Julie to look at the guy who was trying desperately to nab her attention. The man was wearing really tight jeans, snakeskin boots, a black and white button-up shirt, and had a cowboy hat on. Julie didn’t want to condemn the guy as stereotypical but he even had a stereotypical moustache, a handlebar that was thick and slightly unkempt.

“O-oh, hi,” Julie greeted and she reached out to shake his hand. “I’m Julie and this is my bestfriend, Melissa.”

“Hi y’all,” the man responded with a wave. His breath was thick with the scent of alcohol and Julie figured he must have been there in the bar for a while now. “My name’s Griffin, Joel Griffin, and I’d love to get to know you sweet ladies.”

Hearing those words sent a warm flood of emotions down Julie’s body. She knew it was all bullshit and this guy was so drunk he probably just wanted to fuck someone – anyone – before calling it a night but she still appreciated the effort. It was a lot more than what she got from Chace.

“I’d love that too,” she told Griffin and welcomed him to join them.

“Wait, wait, so you’re saying you literally had to stick your arm into a cow’s ass?” Melissa asked Griffin.

It was 2 AM and the bar was still riddled with patrons. Julie had several shots and three bottles of beer. Melissa, who was a little weaker when it came to drinks, managed to drink more than usual while still keeping a sane head between her shoulders. Griffin, to their surprise, was a little allergic to alcohol so he had the least to drink ever since they got together a few hours earlier.

“Well, you see, sometimes there’s no fancy gadget or what not so you just got to do it yourself,” he answered. He then turned over to face Julie. “Now let me get this straight. Mel here has a boyfriend but you’re completely available?”

Julie blushed but she did nod, “I want to be honest with you. I was seeing someone, a guy I was in a relationship with before but we broke up and we got together and then broke up again. I don’t know. It’s a mess.”

“Damn, calm your tits and make a decision,” he told Julie. Melissa laughed but it didn’t exactly amuse Julie. “I don’t want to get drunk over here hoping I could spread them pretty legs of yours only to find out I had no chance at all because of a dying fling you’ve got with an ex. Come on, don’t over think these things, slut, just spread them chunky legs and let plow right into you.”

Melissa reeled in laughing but she halted when she saw Julie’s face was dry and serious. If a person’s imagination could poof into existence, she knew Julie’s ears would be billowing out steam and flames would be dancing on top of her head. Horns would be growing and she would smite Griffin down with a heavy slap.

“H-hey, Jules, you okay?” Melissa asked Julie. “You look a little red. Do you want to go home?”

Julie shook her head, “No, I’m fine. I can handle it. I appreciate it, in fact. At least he’s being honest.”

She then turned her attention back to Griffin and asked, “If I gave you a chance to sleep with me tonight, right now, would you take it?”

Griffin unapologetically reached down and slid his hand in his pants and Julie watched him grab his cock. “Baby, of course I’d take the chance. I’ve been wanting to bend you down over a table and smack your pretty little face with my cock ever since I laid eyes on you.”

“Wow,” Julie mouthed silently to Melissa. She then said out loud, “No one’s ever been that upfront with me before.”

“Well, I ain’t exactly done,” Griffin continued as he finished his last bottle of beer. He summed up every ounce of courage he had and flat out reached for Julie’s breasts and gave a squeeze, much to her surprise. “If I could have my way with you I’d fuck you right now in the parking lot and let your chubby friend here get a good look. Maybe Mel would like the show so much she’d spread her pussy for me too.”

Melissa was on the verge of slapping him in the face. She would have if not for Julie holding her hand down and continuing to ask Griffin for more details.

“Really? I’ve never been smacked by a cock before. Is yours big enough to make an impact?”

Griffin seemed a little offended by the question but he did his best to keep his cool. “Are you questioning my size? Bitch, I’ve got a cock so big I can shove it down your throat and there’d still be enough for your friend here to lick base and my balls.”

“Ooh, you should get it checked,” Julie pressed on and now her tone was getting obviously sarcastic. “I heard you could die if the effects of Viagra don’t wear off after four hours.”

Melissa burst out laughing and then added on top of Julie’s statements. “Now I wonder how his cock looks normally. Is it one of those instances where it’s like as big as my pinky finger when it’s soft but grows abnormally big after taking enhancement pills? It must be such an experience to feel it erect while in my mouth.”

Griffin was losing his cool. His breathing was coming in short bursts and the girls could him curling his fingers into fists. “You both better shut the hell up because I’m getting really pissed. You both better be grateful I haven’t smacked you up yet and thrown you in my barn. I’d tie you both down and fuck you until the goats cry.”

Julie just laughed when she realized Griffin pretty much cemented her next response. “Oh, so when you don’t have girls to screw you just settle with the goat? That must be really hard though because I heard you need a big cock to make an impact with bestiality.”

Melissa caught on and chimed a shot of her own. “Do you only fuck goats or do you settle with cows, horses, and pigs?”

“You’re a pig,” Griffin told Melissa. He was starting to get defensive and the alcohol was clearly affecting his speech. He was slurring more now and each sentence was slower than the one before. “I-I’d make you oink when I blow a hole in your ass and spill my cum on your face, slut.”

Julie laughed out loud. “Sweetie, you can call us anything you’d like but it still won’t make your cock any bigger. Don’t worry though, I’m pretty sure Bessy the sheep will bleat for you just the same when you stumble on home later.”

“Why you little smart-ass,” Griffin was mad – really mad.

“You started it,” Melissa pointed out. “My friend here was hoping to find some love and attention and we were thinking you could be the one to give her all that. You fucked it up when you started insulting Jules.”

Griffin looked honestly taken aback. “I’m the one who insulted her? I was just telling her the truth. She has to calm down, admit she’s a horny slut which is why she’s in a dump like this looking for cock like mine, and let me do my thing so we can both be happy.”

Smack!

He didn’t even see it coming. Julie recoiled her fist from the pain of the impact but the damage was done and when Griffin got to recover they all noticed her punch had broken his nose. Blood was seeping down his right nostril.

“What the fuck?” Griffin exclaimed in both confusion and pure wrath. The other patrons nearby were suddenly staring their way. Even the barkeep was keeping an eye on Julie, Melissa and Griffin in case this would erupt into a full-on bar fight. Of course there was going to be one.

Griffin rushed forward and raised his hand in a fist. Shouts erupted from all corners of the bar as it looked like he was about to slam his fist against Julie or Melissa. The latter shrieked in fear but Julie was as calm as she had ever been.

Julie took the initiative though and before Griffin could even walk up to her to retaliate she took her bottle of beer and slammed it down across face. Glass shattered and the tall, muscular cowboy fell to the floor. He was wounded but still conscious.

“Dude, you should go,” another male voice suddenly chimed in. Julie recognized it immediately and turned around to see Chace standing by the bar, right beside Melissa. He walked over to Griffin and grabbed his hand to aid him up on his feet. “Clean yourself up, you look pathetic man.”

Chace then handed some cash to the barkeep. “Here. This is for the trouble and to make sure your bouncers keep this guy out of here.”

“Sure thing, just make sure to keep a hand on your friend there too,” the barkeep replied. He eyed Julie with a cautious stare before he took Griffin and aided him into the bathroom, along with a bouncer.

“Chace?” Julie asked as she stared at him in wonder. She took a look around and then told the rest of the patrons, “Hey! Show’s over folks, get back to your fucking drinks!”

“Hey, calm down,” Chace tried to soothe her as he approached. He then turned to Melissa. “Thanks for calling me, by the way.”

Julie turned to Melissa with her jaw dropped low. “You’re the one who called him here?”

“Yeah, I texted him almost immediately after we started hooking up with Griffin,” she explained. “I mean, come on, Griffin looks like a crazed pedophile or something.”

Julie bit down to hold in her frustration. She’d just have to speak with Melissa later. Right now, she had to discuss everything with Chace. If he was here then it was very likely that Melissa told him why they were there in the first place.

“H-hey, can we have a minute or two?” Julie asked Melissa.

Melissa took her drink and nodded. “No problemo, kiddo. I’m the one who called him anyway.” She then headed out and moved over to the bar counter. Julie watched as Melissa struck a conversation with the barkeep and another girl.

Julie then turned over to Chace, who had taken a seat beside her and ordered himself a bottle of light beer. “Chace… I’m sorry for leaving like that. I must have seemed like such a pompous little bitch.”

“It’s okay. Melissa explained everything.”

“What does that encompass?”

Chace smiled, “It includes the lingerie and all that came with it. She also gave me a heads up about how you feel. I’m sorry about all that nonsense. I didn’t mean to make you feel ignored and unimportant. This is all my fault.”

Julie shook her head, “No, it was my fault too. I was being unreasonable. I was expecting too much. We just got back together and I was slipping back into the habit of controlling everything – your schedule, your free time. All of that shouldn’t be gripped so tightly.”

Chace shook his head, “No. Julie, you’re doing it all over again. You’re taking too much of the blame. It’s my fault too. I was getting too comfortable having you with me again and I didn’t realize that we can’t just settle back in the routine we had before. It was that routine that pushed you away in the first place and it almost pushed you away again tonight.”

“Cheating is cheating no matter how we put it. I cheated before and here I was about to cheat again.”

Chace suddenly reached forward and hugged Julie in tightly. “I forgive you for everything, Jules. You just have to forgive me too and yourself. We need to get back on a clean slate.”

The warmth of his embrace reverberated through her body and she melted right into his arms. For the longest moment she just rested her head on his chest and enjoyed the beauty of their union. It has been a very long time since she had this luxury.

When she was finally ready to talk she looked up at him and first asked the nagging question that has been bugging her for days. “Wait, does this mean we still have to practice for that Christmas reunion party? I already have my Christmas gift for you, if you’re willing to accept it a second time around.”

“I didn’t notice it the first time so I’m definitely looking forward,” he answered with a wicked spark in his eyes. She could see he was excited to explore their kinks together. “Now I’m curious. How would you look if I put you back in that lingerie, cuff your hands and gag your mouth, and then take you while we’re facing a big mirror in the bedroom?”

“Shut up,” Julie told him sheepishly. “You’re not supposed to turn me on right now, Chace. I’m drunk and I just got into a bar fight.”

“Those are the two ingredients to getting wasted and horny,” he replied jokingly. “I think you’re ready for some love and affection.”

“You do know Melissa is still here, right?”

Chace chuckled and planted a warm, wet kiss on her lips, the kind that was both intoxicating and addicting all at the same time. “Yeah but let’s kick her back home. I want to keep you all to myself right now. I owe you that.”

Julie wasn’t one to argue. They finished their drinks and headed over to Melissa by the counter.

“You too look like you fixed everything up,” Melissa said with a big smile. She was beyond drunk at this point. “See? Not everything has to be like in Mean Girls. You can survive without turning into Regina George every five seconds into a relationship.”

“Yeah, Mel, we need to kick you out,” Julie told her friend flat-out with no introduction or warning. “We’re drunk and horny and it’s the Christmas season so you know what we got to do.”

Melissa guffawed and she dug into her pocket to pull out her credit card. She paid the barkeep for her drinks and then turned back to Chace and Julie. “Fuck you all. It’s a good thing I called Ned to pick me up because I don’t think I can freaking drive right now. By the way, when you do it like rabbits expect a bunch of mini-me’s to pop out of your belly. That’s how children are made, okay, not from factories in China.”

Chace laughed and wagged a finger at Melissa. “You know we’re prepared for anything. Now, are you sure it’s okay we leave you here? Apparently little miss sunshine over here has some lingerie and cuffs and we definitely don’t want to miss on that performance.”

“Yeah, I’m fine,” she answered. “Ned will be here in about fifteen minutes. Go, have fun, make it hot in December.”

“Thanks honey,” Julie told Melissa as they kissed each other farewell. Chace gave Melissa a hug before he then took Julie by the hand and walked her out of the bar and into his car.

“You know, by the way, you really know how to smack a guy,” Chace told her as he unlocked the doors. “That’s the second time now that I’ve come to help you only to discover you’ve already beaten the son of a bitch before I could even throw a punch.”

She laughed and hopped into the car. “Let’s not do it in the back of the car this time. I want you to appreciate what I have.”

“It’s a good thing I brought it all with me,” Chace said as he got inside and opened the glove box and pulled out the brown bag. Inside it was everything Julie put on previously to seduce him back in the house. “Come on, let’s give this one more try.”

“Just waiting on you, captain,” Julie told him and with that he started the car.
