CHAPTER FOUR

TABITHA

THE MORNING AFTER OUR FIRST night together, Damian had told me over breakfast in bed, with me being the breakfast, that I was to pack a bag because I was staying with him until we went away. The fact that I’d paid for him to go with me was irrelevant now; no way was this just a job. I’d put up a token amount of resistance, but had done as he said anyway. That had been three nights ago, and now we were on our way to the fiery pits of hell.

Damian had surprised me by reversing a beautiful black Range Rover from his garage and then throwing our bags in the back before helping me in and doing my seatbelt up for me. I wasn’t sure how much a butcher earned, but I wasn’t sure it was enough to be able to afford this amazing vehicle with pretty much every function known to man in it. I didn’t want to embarrass him or sound judgmental though so I stayed quiet about it.

It took roughly three hours to get back to my hometown and as I focused on the passing scenery, I realized that we were about half an hour away. Passing the diner that I’d stopped at to make my initial plans to run away, the anxiety of the coming weekend hit.

Looking over at Damian, I took in the way his beautiful hands held the steering wheel and then remembered what those hands had done to me. Images of his fingers filling me as he licked me filled my head and I started to squirm in my seat.

“What are you thinking about?” His voice was a deep growl as he looked over at me. He totally knew what was going through my mind. Not having the voice to answer, I just shrugged and gave him an innocent smile. “Don’t look at me like that while I’m driving, baby. This is a busy road so I can’t pull over and fuck you on the hood like I want to.”

Gulping, I turned away with my face on fire and willed myself to think about things that would calm me down.

“You can bet your sweet ass though, that the second we get into our room, I’ll give you what I’m thinking up,” his eyes were on the road ahead, but his voice was filled with dirt and promises.

And there went my panties for good. Sighing, I shimmied them down my legs and put them in the map holder on the side of the door.

Walking into the pretentious hotel that the event was being held at ended up not being the hell that I’d expected thanks to Damian growling sexual promises at me the whole time.

We were just checking in, when a ‘friend’ of mine from school, Sarah, came up to us.

“Tabitha,” she squealed in her fake squeaky voice. “Oh, my gawd, it’s so good to see you.” She was staring at Damian the whole time, licking her lips. “Who’s this?”

Damian must have picked up on the tension radiating from me because he took a step closer that ended with him pressed against my back and held his hand out. “Damian, Tab’s man.”

Hooking her clawed hands around his hand, she tugged slightly, but he stayed where he was. “Oh, I didn’t know! I assumed that you were coming with Br…”

“Brett?” I asked in a fake cheery tone. She’d squashed her shoulders in that way, so her tits almost fell out of her tramp clothes and given how much she’d betrayed me, I didn’t want her anywhere near Damian. “Why would you think that considering you spent so much time coming with him when we were together?”

Her mouth opened and closed a couple of times and she had the audacity to look shocked and hurt. “What do you mean?”

Stepping forward, I kept my face firm and my voice hard. “Sure you do. Prom, graduation in the guys’ toilets-against the urinals. You didn’t even have the class to get a stall,” I sneered. “Let’s see, where else? Oh, yes, the night he proposed in the restaurant toilet while I called my parents, on my bed at my birthday party. The list is endless really.”

“But, Tabitha, I thought we were friends,” she stuttered, trying to deflect from the guilt and truth being thrown at her about how much of a fucking trash bag she had for a crotch. It got filled and then thrown away for the next thing.

“Tell me, friend.” I made sure to keep my voice loud as I saw Brett’s parents getting closer to us. “Did it feel good to fuck me over by fucking Brett? Did it make it hotter? Better? What? Obviously, you weren’t much good because I don’t see him beside you…so friend, what did you gain?”

The crocodile tears disgusted me, but I’d achieved what I had wanted to as I heard Brett’s mother gasp and look at Sarah in disgust. She’d always been viewed as the virginal angel by the town when really, she was a fucking door knob. Turning to walk away, she saw the look on Brett’s mother’s face and then ran out the door.

Damian had been at my back, his hand stroking my arm the whole time, but seeing how quickly she left he started chuckling. “Damn, baby, that made me even harder. Time to make a move to our room.”

We started walking quickly in the direction of the elevator, when Brett’s parents reached us and his mother, Philippa, looked at Damian with disdain.

“Darling, you can’t believe everything you hear, you know.” She tried to sort the top of my dress out, but I backed away from her hand. Anything to do with this family disgusted me.

I was about to tell her to fuck off, when my parents and Grant walked up to us too. My parents kept a safe distance from me, but Grant chose to always be oblivious so long as he was benefitting, so he walked up to me and gave me a big hug. The draft from my lack of panties and the knowledge that the skirt of my dress had lifted a bit high had me holding onto it. The bastard, Damian, laughed again.

When I was back down on the floor, my dignity intact, I made the introductions. “Grant, this is my boyfriend, Damian. Damian, this is my family,” I choked on the word deliberately. “And this is Philippa and Roger.” I gave a careless gesture to the couple standing glaring at him.

Nodding at all of them, Damian held my hand tightly as he said, “Pleasure to meet you.” I’d told him Brett’s parents’ names before we arrived so he knew who we were dealing with.

“Tabitha,” Philippa simpered with a malicious look on her face. “Come now, we’re practically family. In fact, your fiancé is here.” She looked around, pretending to be innocent and oblivious to the bullshit she was pulling.

I was saved from giving a bitchy answer by the appearance of Grant’s fiancée, the biggest slut in the world and the bane of my life in high school, Rita. “Grant,” she whined, and like Sarah, her tits were falling out of her clothes. She was about to say something when she caught sight of me and her face twisted into a sneer. Damian moved behind me, distracting her attention. She stood staring at him for a good five seconds before her fakery took over. “I’m Rita,” she held her hand out. “And you are?”

“Damian,” he said, but didn’t take her hand. Instead, he stood still with his grip almost crushing my hand.

“Oh, and who are you?” She let out one of her irritating giggles and I just wanted to slap her. Actually, no, I wanted to slap Grant for being such a fucking dickhead. Obviously, my parents had arranged this bullshit because Rita’s dad was the head of a large bank in our area and the money and prosperity would be a huge asset to them.

“Tabitha’s man.” She blinked in shock and then looked back at me. Damian had obviously had enough of the bullshit circus playing out because he tugged me toward the elevators and said, “It’s been great meeting you, and we’ll definitely catch up with you later, but it’s been a long drive and Tabitha needs to lie down.”

Mine and Brett’s parents shot a look at each other before Mom stepped forward and literally yanked me away from Damian. “That’s okay, David.” She deliberately got his name wrong. “I really want to spend some time with my daughter.”

Knowing that she wouldn’t give up, I gave an exasperated nod to Damian reassuring him, before slapping her hand off me. “Let’s go then, shall we?” I started in the opposite direction to where I’d been going, assuming that it was what she’d intended. Sure enough, she and Philippa started following me.

“You look so beautiful,” Philippa coo’d as she tried to rearrange my hair in mid step. “You know, Brett is so looking forward to seeing you again. He’s been talking about it all wee...where’s your ring?” She grabbed my hand and held it up.

Pulling away from her, I laid it out. “Well, when I found him with his dick in one girl and another sitting on his face, I took it off. As luck would have it, a couple of nights later after I’d been filled in on how many vaginas his dick had seen throughout our relationship, and FYI…” I winked at her. “Your son is an overachiever. Well done you! Anyway, I saw this guy with nothing, begging, so I gave it to him.”

Her cheeks were scarlet with either embarrassment or anger, or maybe even both, by the time I’d finished and my own mother wasn’t looking much better.

“That…you…that must have been a mistake,” Philippa said as she straightened her spine and then pulled at the bottom of her over-the-top suit jacket. “Anyway, it would have been outdated now. We’ll fix that.” She shook her head, trying to flick her hair over her shoulder, but it was too short and just got caught on the gaudy baubles in her ears. “So, your mother and I would love to catch up so we organized a private room in the restaurant with some cake and tea. You love tea.”

I followed behind them, unable to stop the grimace; I hated tea. Well, unless it was a Chai, those I loved.

We passed tables filled with faces familiar to me from my old life. Oh, how lovely, there was my biology teacher. The one that had fucked Brett on Valentine’s day while I was at home with bronchitis. Giving her a look that screamed what I knew, I walked past her, delighted when she dropped her fork and whispered to her companion before standing up and walking out. Bitch!

“I need to go and freshen up,” my mother said, breaking off in the direction of a sign that said toilets.

“Oh, I’ll go too. The heat is just too much, isn’t it?” Philippa made conversation as she looped her arm through my mother’s. “Tabitha, dear, you go in and get comfy. We won’t be a minute.”

Knowing in my gut what was waiting for me on the other side, I opened the door and came face-to-face with the man that I once thought was something, but now I knew was no better than a trodden down lump of dog shit.

“Petal,” he walked toward me with his arms open.

Stepping to the side quickly, making sure there were chairs between us, I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms.

“Asshole,” at least I acknowledged his existence. “What do you want?” I wasn’t going to beat around the bush. I wanted to get to Damian, have a shower, have Damian, and then maybe have a drink or five so I could cope with the bullshit tonight.

“Now is that any way to talk to your fiancé?” He had the audacity to look disappointed in me.

Sighing, I walked swiftly to the door, maintaining a safe distance the whole time. “I’m out.”

I’d just reached the door when he grabbed my arm in a grip so tight that I let out a scream. “Oh no you don’t,” he snarled in my face. “This shit is over. I’m going to remind you who has the final say in this relationship.”

I was struggling and trying to scratch him as he pushed me up against the wall and started grinding his limp french fry sized cock into me.

This wasn’t looking good.
