Chapter 20
All the time in the world.
***Andy***
Walking down the steps while I’m engulfed by Afon is heightening every step I take. The soreness between my legs, his eyes on me while he’s waiting at the end of the stairs with a heated gaze, all of it is a reminder that I’m fully his.
The dress Unique brought in her bag, the one I’m wearing right now, is a real eye catcher. Afon didn’t get a chance to see my dress. All the time we had together was in the shower before Ford was knocking on the door demanding the two of us get downstairs as soon as possible. Something about an engagement party missing the two who are engaged. Afon went ahead to give me some more time to get ready.
The dress is a dark shade of red, a deep V neck, allover lace with a high slit, it’s elegant and yet oh so sexy. The way Afon is looking at me makes me rub my legs together. I can’t wait to have him again.
“You need to stop looking at me like that,” he growls in my ear when I’ve reached the end of the stairs.
“I could say the same to you,” I whisper back in all honesty. “Would it be weird if we send everyone home and dive into bed for a few days?”
His chest rumbles with a hint of laughter. “I wish. They’ve just cleaned up the mess in the damn ballroom. Let’s just get through the rest of the night in the company of friends, have a drink or two, and then send everyone home. Celebrate the fact that this Marco fucker is wiped off the face of the Earth, huh? We have all the time in the world to fuck for the rest of our lives. Now that we screwed up our damn wedding night.”
“Screwed…up, huh? Yes,” I say dreamily, remembering how he held me up, pinned me to the wall and took me while giving me so much pleasure.
“Did I fucking not mention it a damn moment ago that you should stop looking at me like that?” Afon growls again.
I can barely keep the gloating from my face, delighted he feels the same way. I hit his chest. “It’s your fault, reminding me. Shit. Let’s keep our distance then. I’ll go over to my friends while you will stay over there with the guys, how’s that?”
“Fine,” he grumbles but takes my hand, leading me into the ballroom where we have to walk around first and greet all the guest personally, thanking them for coming and give our sincere apologies for the interruption.
Interruption. Meaning a dead body flying and killing a dude mid festivities. Or that’s what I heard happened while I was busy with Marco upstairs. But whatever. The smile on my face is huge because it’s my damn engagement party so I’ll be sure to enjoy myself.
The night passes quickly and all too soon the house is empty while Afon and I take a late-night stroll in the garden, letting Dozor run around because he’s been up in his room for most of the night. With our fingers entwined, the moon high, and Dozor rolling around in the grass, it seems all too perfect. But yet it is reality. The way my life has been spun around has given reason to my life to start over. A whole new life with someone who has my back unconditionally.
Coming to a stop, I step in front of Afon. Reaching out to cup his face in my hands, I tell him, “I love you,” and give him a lingering kiss.
His hands reach for my ass, dragging me closer to him as he deepens the kiss. Dozor starts to bark, making Afon groan in discontent into my mouth. He tears his mouth away from mine. “Not now, Dozor, go on…play some more.”
All we get in return is more barking, oh…and the squeaking of Dozor’s toy, clearly demanding one of us should throw it. My lips touch Afon’s once more before I whisper, “Go on, throw it a few more times. We have all the time in the world, right?”
“Fuck, yeah,” Afon says, nipping my bottom lip and licking away the sting.
A moan involuntarily leaves my throat, making Afon chuckle. Dammit. He did that on purpose, making me long to have his mouth on me right now instead of later.
Afon reaches down, grabs Dozor’s toy and throws it away, his eyes finding mine the next instant. “Like you said, all the time in the world. Maybe we should wait to have one another again, make our wedding night special.”
My eyes widen. Is he serious? His head tips back, a bark of laughter filling the air.
“You ass,” I say and smack him in the chest.
Dozor barks from far away, making me turn toward the noise. Afon’s arms wrap around my waist, plastering my back to his front while he gently rocks us left to right. “Every fucking second with you is special, amina mia. Every. Damn. Second.”
Leaning back against him, I close my eyes and release a deep breath. In all my life I never experienced such bliss. Happiness, righteousness. Afon completes me in every way, one soul split straight through the middle, walking the Earth in solitude until life intervened and brought them back together again.
“Every damn second,” I agree on a whisper.
