Dark Forest Eyes & Mr. Orna

“You’re late,” my Uncle sang with an angry tone.

“I wouldn't be late if you didn’t forget the chips you needed your party,” I mimicked his song.

My uncle let out a little chuckle. “I’m going to need you to say hello to some old friends. Mr. Cane, Mr. Orna, Mrs. Lettermen —”

I cut off my uncle with a heavy sigh, “Fine, but I need to change. I am a little too casual for this party.”

My Uncle was wearing his favorite Hugo Boss navy slacks and white Calvin Klein button down. He didn’t need a belt with his pants, but he wore one for style. I saw a hint of the brown belt, but disappeared in the front being eaten by his round belly. It was the same “D&G” gold-buckled belt that my uncle made me poke an extra hole into on Christmas.

“I don’t think you’ll be able to change,” he looked over to his right shoulder. “Mrs. Lettermen is on patrol. Bye.”

My uncle bounced away from me so he wouldn't be drowned by Mrs. Lettermen’s upcoming questions. Or should I say interrogation.

“Hello, darling. I thought it was you. You look … different,” she hummed. She studied my inappropriate outfit for this party and observed exactly how “different” I looked. It had probably been at least four years since I last saw these people so of course I’ve changed. I had put on weight, I somehow even grew an inch and now I had pink hair.

There was a moment of silence until Mrs. Lettermen snapped out of her trance and went into interrogation mode. I probably answered more than twenty questions until she interrupted herself.

“Oh. Nature is calling,” she puckered her lips and shuffled away, holding her legs tightly together.

A faint smile escaped my lips when I watched her loose hair bun spring with each step she took. It looked like a white moth trying to flee from her.

I scanned the room, watching all the middle-aged people chatting amongst themselves, exchanging fake laughs or heated arguments. The lawyers always wore suits, aside from my uncle who was wearing a semi-formal attire.

I scanned the room dully until a tall man stopped me in my tracks. He was the tallest man in the room and he was glaring at me with his dark eyes, making me feel like I had just entered a dungeon and I was his prisoner. I turned away immediately, looking outside at the garden and letting the scorching heat from inside of me rise. The words oh my god left my mouth without a second to think. I looked outside the garden for a few seconds until I sped walked over the bar to make sure I was out of his vision.

His face burned into my brain. Those dark green eyes pierced my whole body. His glare was strong, solid and thick, which made me lost in his forest. A dark forest with no trails or life, just secrets and shadows. He looked at me like I was already his but I didn’t yet know it.

He looked like a dark green forest you wanted to get lost in.

I cooled myself down by mixing my Jack and Coke and taking a refreshing sip to reset my body. I grabbed my drink and headed toward the kitchen island where I could get a better view of this mysterious man. I knew I shouldn't, but I couldn't control myself. He made me tingle and grow and I wanted more. Even if it was just a glance. But maybe I could have more?

I leaned against the granite top and sipped my drink, ignoring his presence for now. I held my breath and scanned the room slowly, moving my way over toward him. Our eyes met again and it was just as powerful, if not more than, the first time. A shock charged up in my body and trailed down to my freely exposed pussy.

He was talking to the person next to him, but his eyes were only focused on me. His eyes were orgasmically painful and I wanted more, even though he looked like trouble. I was ready to get hurt. The tall, drop-dead sexy man looked like he didn’t belong here even though he was in the best navy blue fitted suit I have ever seen on a man. He was a lawyer, of course.

He had fair skin that looked even whiter against his black hair. His hair was faded on the side, but long on the top. It was gelled back and looked like black polish with a trail of white running through it. The white streak in his hair was so white that it looked like it was glowing against his jet black hair. His beard was perfectly trimmed and flawless and just as thick as his hair. He looked like he was groomed daily like a king.

He was holding the same crystal glass as mine but unlike me, his large hand gripped around easily while I struggled to get my long nails to touch. I gulped my drink and placed it on the table, staring at the ice in my glass. I needed something else to stare at other than the mystery man so I kept my eyes glued on the melting ice as I fished for my pink sheet and phone from my jean jacket.

I skimmed the rules again and felt my hand shake. I tried to keep it still but couldn't. I knew he was still staring at me with his powerful dark gaze. I looked up to double check — big mistake. His eyes were narrow and mischievous and his jaw was tight and clenched. He looked angry but hungry, and I lusted at the look. My cheeks blended with my hair color as I folded the paper and placed it in its original pocket near on my chest.

I picked up my phone and nervously texted Birdie.

Mal | By the way I’m angry with you but I need your help.

Mal | There’s this guy

Mal | He’s staring at me

I saw Birdie read the message and instantly texted me back.

Birdie | Is he hot? ;)

Mal | Yeah

Mal | Very

Mal | But he’s staring at me non-stop

Mal | IDK what he’s thinking

Birdie | Talk to him Mal

Birdie | He probably likes you

Mal | IDK

Mal | He’s … intense

Birdie | You have 30 days starting today

Birdie | Go talk to him

Birdie | Bye

I refilled my Jack and Coke and headed back to my spot at the island counter. I read Birdie’s last text and placed my phone back in my pocket. I pulled the pink sheet, reading over it again and trying to figure out which one was possibly going to be crossed off today.

1. Send nudes and get nudes

9. Have sex naked (No shirt Mallory)

4. Fuck a man 15 years older than you

I looked up to catch him staring at me again, but this time all his attention was on the pink sheet. I shuffled the paper in its small size and shoved it in my pocket, where he was clearly checking out my chest now.

“Hey,” a large hand dropped down on my shoulder.

“Holy shit! You fucking scared me,” I whined to my uncle who was having a good laugh.

I was so into the mystery man I had almost forgotten where I was.

“I didn't think I was going to scare you,” he laughed through his sentence. “Okay. I’m sorry, but I wanted to let you know that Mr. Orna just arrived and you know how he gets.”

I rolled my eyes heavily and sighed. I hated Mr. Orna. He was a bitter old man who only liked people he could use. I scanned the room for him and found him right next to the mysterious man. Mr. Orna paraded a rare smile across his wrinkly, tanned face. The mysterious man looked at him but he didn't seem care for him.

“Go. Now. I don't want to hear him complaining about my uncivilized niece,” my uncle barked. “While you're at it. Greet Mr. Kelly, he’s the new boss who gave me my promotion.”

Per-fucking-fect.

The mystery man is the CEO.

Shame.

He was just another wicked man fueled by money and depression inside a beautiful body. But at least I only needed his body.

I stood my ground firmly, before my uncle pushed and barked at me to greet the old wrinkly bastard and his boss. I gripped my drink and took a step forward to Mr. Orna and Mr. Kelly, who was already watching my body intimately with those dark forest eyes.
