CHAPTER TEN

Webb’s mouth slid into a sexy-as-hell grin, while Gracie did a quick look up and down the corridor to make sure people weren’t roaming the hallway. All she had on was her thong, which she shimmied out of and, using it like a sling shot, she aimed for Webb’s head.

He reached out and caught it mid-air. His hand fisting around the black lace, he brought it to his nose and inhaled. The growing erection was evident in his slacks.

Oh, the man-beast wants to come out and play.

She pivoted and sauntered away from him.  “Of course, if you’re too tired at your age for more sex—oomph!” Webb tackled her onto the bed, startling the smartass right out of her. “Hey! You scared me.”

“Stay! Brat.” He smacked her ass once before scrambling off her to lock the door.

She stood and tossed the cream comforter and accent pillows on the floor. No need getting chocolate mousse on them. By the time she pulled the top sheet back, he wastotally naked.

“What do you teach at this college?” His hands were balled on his slim hips. There was a definite mood shift. Again.

“The name of the school is Mount Vista College in Coeur d’Alene. I’m pretty sure I told you, I teach creative writing online.”

“So you understand the English language fairly well? Have a good vocabulary?”

“Yes. I like to think so. Why?” What was he getting at anyhow?

He slowly stalked her, which was a total turn on. “Define the word ‘stay’ for me. Didn’t I tell you to stay on the bed in the position I’d left you?” His head tilted to the side. “Are you deliberately disobeying me?”

She hiked her chin. Here it came—the putdowns, the insults. Damn her needy heart. It sank. He wasn’t going to be any different from other men she’d dated.

“How much do you know about Dominant and submissive relationships?” He stepped closer.

“I know what I’ve researched and learned from a friend Bethany Scott. All I’ve ever experienced in real life are the verbal and physical abuse from men who think they have a hold over me. The two don’t exactly jive.”

Which was why she’d asked Bethany to get her a pass to the BDSM club she belonged to. Bethany had been her critique partner for two years. Even though they lived thousands of miles apart, they helped each other plot stories and read one another’s chapters, noting where improvement needed made. They’d become very close. Bethany was good at improving Gracie’s BDSM lingo since she was basically clueless about the lifestyle.

Gracie had to see for herself how women were treated in D/s situations. If she was going to write about it, she needed to do so with accuracy. Who better to guide her through her first foray into the club scene than Bethany, someone she trusted.

Right at this moment, she wasn’t so sure she trusted Webb Mohanty. She took a deep breath and examined his expression. If he was going to belittle her for something as inconsequential as pulling the bedclothes back for smeary foreplay, then he could get the hell out.

Instead, warm arms enveloped her in a gentle embrace. “Some subs get off on being called names or being hit. Do you? I need to know your limits, your desires. Did you ask for that kind of treatment?”

“No. Hell, no. I can’t handle being putdown or struck. That smack on the ass you gave me was okay. It was kind of playful and made me feel things.” A sexually excited wetness had gathered in her core. She inhaled and shook her head. “Believe me, a black eye or swollen jaw is not my idea of foreplay.”

Webb pulled back and blue eyes raging midnight dark with anger glared at her. “A man hit you? Bruised you? Against your will? Do you belong to a club? I can’t believe they’d allow this kind of behavior. Monitors are always walking the floors on the lookout for anything harmful to a member.”

“No. I don’t do clubs. I’m not a submissive. You’ve got me all wrong. I could never be one, not when ordinary boyfriends have been so damn mean. But that’s my fault, isn’t it? I allowed them into my life and forgave them every time they told me it would never happen again. After four men like that, I saw a definite pattern, did some deep soul searching, and stopped dating.”

“Baby, baby, baby,” he whispered against her face before he feathered a kiss in that spot and moving onto another. “Everyone deserves to be treated the way they want, the way that fulfills them sexually. I will never talk in a demeaning way to you. I find you too precious.” He picked her up and laid her on the bed.

“I think you owe me some dessert and I owe you four climaxes.” He kissed the tip of her nose. “Damn those abusive bastards to hell for hurting you.” He lay beside her, encasing her in the warmth of his body. “Promise me.” He kissed her neck and all her girly parts trembled. “Promise me, even if we never see each other after this weekend, that if another man hurts you in any way, you’ll contact me.”

He couldn’t be serious. “Why? What will you do? Leave a football game and hop on a plane to Idaho?”

His hand slapped her bottom, a firm yet gentle contact of his palm. “The raven-haired beauty is also a smartass. No, I can’t leave a game, any more than you could. But as soon as I can, I’ll be in Coeur d’Alene by your side, making sure you’re okay, before I tear apart some asshole for hurting you. That’s a promise.”

He nipped her lower lip with enough pressure to send a zing of awareness to her core. “A promise, sweetheart.” The sexual purr in his voice skittered across her skin. “Even if I never see you after tonight.” His tongue laved the sting from the bite. “Or the weekend.” A part of me will always be with you. The part of me that cares.” His lips covered hers and poured a liberal dose of belief into her soul.

I am totally in over my head with this guy and I’m clueless why.

She melted into the kiss and burrowed closer to his muscled chest. “Gracie,” he groaned.

Kiss followed kiss.

Heartfelt sighs echoed sighs.

Touching encouraged more touching.

Fingers groped into silky strands of hair.

And a web of sensual magic was spun, obliterating thoughts of her shadowed longings. A sweet snare filled with the sunshine of endearing awareness as this man slowly made love to her. He spooned mousse over her breasts and dabbed a thin trail down her to her mound where he separated her folds and scooped in the remaining chocolate.

She’d never experienced anything like this, didn’t know if she ever would again. So, she took the passion he gave and freely gifted him with hers. And still, their own brand of magic developed and took control.

His lips and tongue were everywhere, or so it seemed. Her mouth, neck, arms, and chest tingled with the heat of his kisses. Her breast had been licked clean and her nipples sucked into throbbing pebbles begging for more of Webb’s wizardry. “My nipples need—”

“I know what they need.” His fingers plucked at them while he kissed and lapped his way down her stomach. “Sweet Lord, Gracie, you’ve got me so worked up.” His tongue took one long swipe of her slit and she bowed off the bed. Her clit pulsing for more friction. Begging for a touch, a kiss, a lick, a cock to help bring on a much needed climax.

“Fuck me, Webb. Please. Now!” She was frantic with need. She’d spent too much time in her head and heart dealing with feelings of the moment. It was time to get back into her body and just experience all this man could do to her.

Webb crawled until they were eyeball to eyeball. “Condom or no? I promise you I’m clean. Thunder’s medical team checks us regularly.”

“I’m good, too. No condom. Let me feel you come inside me.”

He wrapped her leg around his hip and slowly slid in. “You’re so tight. Wet and tight.” He stilled for a moment and kissed her deep. Their tongues matched and mated, and then his hips began to move. Slow and steady. He was a thick man who could hit so many wonderful spots.

She relished every stroke. Allowed each to push her closer to nirvana. Her internal muscles began to quiver, to spasm, to reach that glorious state where pleasure is so perfect, there is a tinge of pain to it. She screamed his name over and over as her climax shook her body.

“Keep your eyes open,” he ordered. “Let me see it all.”

Before the internal quaking stopped, he positioned her legs over his shoulders. “Hang on, you beautiful, sweet thing. I’m going for mine, now, and you’re coming with me.”

Her heart throbbed in her ears and she could barely gather enough moisture in her mouth to talk. “I … I can’t come again.”

He was driving into her now. Skin slapping skin. Sweat beading on his forehead, dampening his hair. “You’ll come. You’ll come when I give you permission to come.”

The dominance in his voice started the building of another climax, deep and powerful. He slid his hands under her ass and raised her off the bed a few inches, giving him deeper access. “God, you feel out of this world perfect without a rubber. Fuck, sweetheart. I’m too close.” He lowered her legs and told her to roll over on to her stomach.

“We’re going doggie.” He positioned her on her hands and knees, ass high. And entered her again.

The side of her face lay against the pillow and her hands gripped its top. “Oh, I like it this way.” Tightness coiled low in her abdomen. Surely her body wasn’t getting ready to come again.

He smacked her lightly. “You’ve got the most beautiful ass.” Setting a steady rhythm, he grabbed her hips. “You’re damn near perfect.” His one hand moved to her slit where his thumb circled her clit.

The sensations coiled her muscles tighter and tighter. Her breathing rasped and she murmured incoherent pleas.

“Don’t come until I give you permission.”

His deep dominant command nearly pushed her over the edge. “Webb! Please …”

He bombarded her relentlessly. “Baby, I can’t hold back. Christ, you feel too good.” His thumb pressed on her clit. “Come. Now!” He bellowed her name as his hot essence poured into her depths while he jerked with his climax. He collapsed and entwined his fingers with hers.

They remained like that for a couple minutes before he rolled off and shifted her onto his chest. He rose to grasp the sheet to cover them. “We’ll rest for a bit. Damn, that was epic. Stone cold phenomenal.” He kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her. “I’m so glad you bought that red purse.”

She snuggled her head on his wide shoulder and chuckled. “It was on sale.”

“Well, God bless sales.” His hand slowly stroked up and down her spine. “I don’t want this to be over when you leave New York.” He chuckled. “I can’t believe I said that to a woman, but you’re special. We need time to get to know each other.”

“We’ve only met, Webb.” She reached for her cell and set the alarm.

“True. Yet, here we are. Naked. Satisfied. Sticky with chocolate. Not wanting to spend the night apart. We could do phone calls, texts, Skype, and the occasional visits. If something happens, great. At worst, we’ll be good friends.” He yawned, rolled, and tucked her to him. “Think about it, sweetheart.”

***

The alarm’s burping was a rude awakening. Gracie rolled over to turn it off and an arm snaked out to pull her back against a warm chest. Webb’s erection bumped against her bare ass.

“Good morning,” a gravelly deep voice swept over her as a gentle nip branded her shoulder and a shiver skittered over her flesh.

“Good morning, yourself.” She yawned and snuggled against him. “I’m so groggy; I could sleep another three hours. But I need to shower and get dressed. I have a meeting with an agent this morning. You met her in the elevator. The hat lady. I’m hoping she takes me on.”

“If she has any wits about her, she will.” He lifted her thigh over his and stroked her slit with his cock. “But before that shower …first things first. I believe in starting the day right. Don’t you?” One hand went to caress her nipples and the other did wondrous things to her clit. “A new day begins for us. Let’s celebrate it the best way we can, my beautiful woman.” Then he slid into her and woke them both with touches, slow, deep strokes, and breathless words of praise.

Deeply sated, Gracie inched out of bed and stumbled for the bathroom. She’d sooner have spent the rest of the morning snuggled in Webb’s arms.

She was showered and zipping up her white skirt over a pink and white swirled silk tank top when someone knocked on the door. “Room service.”

She opened the door, allowing the young man to push in a cart. The aroma of coffee from the carafe drew her attention. There were bowls of fresh fruit and two covered baskets of something.

Webb stepped out of the bathroom in a cloud of hot mist, a towel draped around his hips. Water dripped from his long hair and skied a trail down his pecs and abs. He was a glorious sight and she wanted to lick the water drops off him, which wouldn’t work into their busy schedules.

“Sit and eat before your meeting, baby. I’ll sign for this.” He pulled back the napkin on the first basket and nodded. “Well done.” After signing the bill, he sat quietly, waiting for the young man to exit the room. “The big basket is for us to share. The little one is just for you.” He gave her one of his heart-melting smiles.

“Oh?” Gracie pulled the burgundy napkin off the basket to find a jewelers box. “What’s that?” Her heart raced from one beat to the next. “Is that a gift?”

Webb’s eyes twinkled at her over the rim of his coffee cup. “You won’t know until you open it.”

Didn’t he get it? They didn’t know each other well enough for gifts. The corners of her mouth lifted. Sex, yes. Presents, no. Yeah, that totally made sense.

She reached for the box and snapped it open. An oblong bar of jade hung from a gold chain. On the piece of jade were golden Chinese emblems.

Webb’s index finger stroked her knuckles. “I asked the lady at the boutique if she had any jewelry to wish the wearer good luck.” He lifted a shoulder in a shrug. “I remembered you were meeting with that agent today.” He grinned. “The hat lady.

“According to the girl at the boutique, the symbols mean luck, prosperity, and long life. Promise me you’ll wear it on days you feel the need for some good fortune. Better yet, wear it every day.” He stood and took the necklace from the box. “Lift your hair. I’ll put it on you. And damn the man who tries to take it off.” He planted kisses to her neck. “Because baby, you’re mine. And that’s one four-lettered word that’s good.” He banded his arms around her waist from behind and pulled her against his chest. “Mine.”
