Dreams By the Fire: Sinful Holiday Series #2 by Crimson Syn (10)

Chapter 9

LOGAN

The winds had picked up, and it was announced on the radio that the snow storm was going to be a bad one. Stores were being ransacked and roads were packed with people leaving. They were advising us to stay indoors until the weather cleared up and it was too dangerous to drive and it was too dangerous to drive I had managed to get a few items for myself and in good sense I doubled the food and water to bring to Holly. Thank God I had done so, no one had seen her for days, the girl had no sense at all hidden up in that isolated cabin all by herself. I had tried reaching out to her for the last few days, but she’d avoided all my calls. At one point she did answer, telling me she was sorry and couldn’t talk. She had me feeling frustrated and powerless.

Then this morning everything in my world seemed to stop. As I watched the snow fall along the lake, I grimaced. My heart suddenly took a dive when I heard the radio call and made out her panicked voice. I had kept the radio by my side in case something like this happened. I was going to get her to come home with me even if I had to drag her out over my shoulder to do so.

A couple years back I invested in a powerful truck and I friggin’ loved it. It was one of the few vehicles that could manage to get me through this weather, and it was about to help me get to the one person I wanted the most in this world. As my truck ambled up the pathway to her cabin, I spotted a speck of red through the cloud of snow. I pulled up at her doorway and saw her heading towards the back of the cabin. The wind had picked up making it harder to see.

I managed to fight against it and made my way over to her. “You should be inside!” I shouted over the roaring wind.

“No heat!” She screamed.

“Let’s go!” I tugged at her sleeve and she stumbled into my arms. I held her close as we made our way back. We shuffled into the cabin and Legend bounded over to us, wagging his tail.

“Are you crazy going out there by yourself, you could freeze to death.”

“I wanted to see if I could get the generator running.” I stared at her and melted. Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes were a brilliant blue that shone with determination.

I looked around the cabin, the dusk was settling and there was barely any light. “Why didn’t you start a fire?”

She looked down at her hands. “No wood.”

I smirked. “Get your stuff, you’re coming home with me.”

She shook her head. “No, we’re fine. I just need to get that generator running.” She headed for the door again and I hauled her up against me.

“We don’t even know if that old generator still works and there’s absolutely no way I’m leaving you here alone. Grab your stuff or I’m going to haul you over my shoulder and drag you with me.”

She stared back up at me wide eyed, but I wasn’t taking no for an answer. “Dragging it is then.”

I grabbed Legend’s leash and bent down to put it on him.

She huffed at the doorway, her hands on her hips. “You may be my only source of rescue, but you can’t just barge in here and force me to come with you.”

“I can when you’re putting your life in danger,” I murmured matter-of-factly.

“My life is not in danger...”

I turned to her and started to walk towards her. “The roads are closed, by the time the storm stops, this door will be covered in over ten inches of snow. There will be no way in or out of this mountain for days.” With every step I took towards her, she took a step back until she was pressed against the door. “You have no food, no water and absolutely no experience when it comes to snow storms. So there’s only one way I see this going, Miss Snow. And tonight, you’ll be sleeping in my nice warm bed if I have anything to say about it.”

She yelped as I grabbed her and propped her onto my shoulder. I tugged Legend along as I opened the door. He obediently stayed by my legs as I carried his struggling owner to my truck.

“You have no right!” She screamed.

I patted her bottom and chuckled. She was definitely a spitfire. Reaching out, I opened the door and gently sat her in the passenger seat. She glowered up at me. “You’re a buffoon.”

I smirked and leaned over to adjust to seatbelt. Turning my head, I felt her soft huffs of breath hit my lips. “Maybe, but I’m a buffoon who cares enough to help.”

She stared down at my mouth and her lips parted slightly. A sexual tension filled the air, heating me up even though half my body was out in a blizzard. As I slowly leaned down to kiss her, Legend jumped into the front seat, separating us and completely ruining the moment as he shook wet droplets of snow from his fur.

“Oh, Legend!” She cried out shielding her face into my chest.

I chuckled as I tightened her seatbelt and made my way to the driver’s side. We sat in silence as my truck made its way through the storm. The howling wind pounded against the windows and I felt her shudder beside me. She grabbed onto Legend’s neck and brought him to the front seat, seeking comfort in his warm fur. The dog obliged her, letting her wrap her arms around him.

“Good dog,” I murmured quietly.

After a grueling half hour ride, we finally pulled up to my cabin. I shut the car off and stared at her pretty face.

“Do you want me to carry you inside too?”

She glared at me and suddenly shot out of the truck. I scrambled to go after her, making sure I had Legend secured. “Brat,” I murmured. She deserved a good sound spanking on that delectable curvy ass of hers. My cock lurched, and I groaned miserably as I fought through the gusts of wind. She was waiting for me by the entrance, hopping around like a cute snow bunny. I smiled and shook my head as we tumbled in through the door.

“I think it’s gotten worst,” she stated nervously.

“Yeah. They said it would be bad.”

“I didn’t think it would be like this. Are you sure we’ll be okay here?”

“I’ve got enough food and water for two weeks. And Maggie gave me three apple pies to bring to you.”

I heard her tummy rumble and I met her shocked gaze. “Hungry?” I smiled.

She bit down on that plump bottom lip and a deep rumble emanated from my chest. I couldn’t contain it any longer and I reached for her, slamming my lips down over hers. Loving her whimpers as I sucked on that pink lip that drove me wild. I swept her jacket off her shoulders, letting it drop to the floor as I ran my hands up her back.

“God, I want you so badly Holly.” I nipped at her chin and left wet open-mouthed kisses along her neck. Lifting her hair, I licked along her neck and collar bone, feeling her shiver as I devoured her. “I ache for you,” I whispered capturing her mouth in mine once again and grinding my bulge against her stomach, needing to show her what she did to me.

A soft purr came from her lips and I nearly came right then. Her tummy suddenly grumbled again, and I broke the kiss, pressing my forehead to hers as our ragged breaths mingled. I cupped her cheeks and pressed her tightly to me.

“First, I feed you, then I have you for desert. Understood?”

She gave out a soft whimper and that was all the yeses I needed. Whether she wanted to admit it or not, she was mine tonight.

Hanging our coats, I grabbed her by the hand and tugged her into the kitchen. My cabin was a lot smaller than hers, but it was comfortable. Unlike hers, my cabin was secluded in the woods. It was just one floor with three bedrooms. The best part was the kitchen and living area. It was ample and bright, with rich dark cabinetry. I had recently put down the wooden panels of the floor, and I had installed heating pipes underneath. The living room had two big comfortable love seats, a soft grey shaggy rug lay on the floor in front of the fireplace.

Now, the fireplace was my favorite part of the structure. It had grey stone blocks stacked one on top of the other, creating the front of the mantle. I chose different colors and different sizes to make it pop against the wall. It was the perfect spot to relax and warm your toes after coming in from the cold.

“Your cabin is stunning,” she whispered. “Did your grandfather build it?”

I smiled. “No. He bought the place when he moved us out here. Throughout the years I’ve constructed a few things. I built the fireplace, installed the heated floors, the wooden panels…”

“Did you say heated floors?”

“Oh yeah. They’re really great.”

“Yeah, I know.” She looked at me in almost awe and I nearly blushed from her scrutiny.

“Here, eat up.”

She moaned as I set the pie in front of her and as her eyes glimmered I realized I wanted to feed it to her. As she reached for the fork, I grabbed it. I sunk it into the pie and brought the bite up to her lips.

“Logan,” she whispered, uncertainty shining in her eyes.

“Take it Holly. Let me feed you.”

She hesitantly moved towards the fork, and as her lips dragged across the silver edges she moaned. “Fuck, I love how you eat that.”

She blushed and giggled, and I quickly cut another piece for her. “Tell me, what does it taste like to you.”

She smiled as she took the next bite. “Sweet heaven.”

I chuckled and cut her another bite. “Moan for me again,” I whispered bringing it up to her lips.

Slowly, her pink tongue swept along her lips, and I let out a deep growl. She slowly opened her mouth, the tip of her tongue touching the edge of the fork right before her lips closed down around the sweet apple. She closed her eyes and moaned deliciously as she savored the bite. A tiny crumble lay on the corner of her mouth and I leaned in and licked it off slowly, dragging my tongue into her mouth and tangling it with hers. She tasted like sweet apples and sin. I groaned into her mouth as I held her cheeks in my hand. Slowly we pulled apart and I watched in a lustful gaze as she swayed slightly towards me.

“I’ll show you to your room, baby girl.”

She nodded as she licked her lips and I wasn’t sure how I was going to control myself much longer.
