Chapter 7

HOLLY

I stood there, looking at how composed he was, like he didn’t have the taste of my pussy on his tongue. I caught him licking his lips and my core clenched, wanting him badly. He’d literally destroyed every doubt I had as his tongue made me soar. My breath caught in my throat as I realize he’s caught my stare. He winked at me and wickedly patted the pocket of his trousers, where he’d put away my panties, and I could feel the heat run up my cheeks.

“Are you alright dear, you look a little flushed.” Maggie asked concerned.

Breaking the seducing eye contact I was having I smiled at her. “Just a little warm, that’s all. This is some of the best eggnog I’ve had, and I think it’s getting to me.”

Maggie laughed. “That’ll do it.”

“Actually Maggie, I think I’m going to head out for the night. I have a long drive up.”

“Oh yes of course, sweetheart. Now, if you need anything you let me know.”

I hugged her tightly. “Thank you for everything. As always, your food was exquisite, and your home is lovely.”

I said my quick goodbyes, and as I put on my coat I could feel his eyes on me. I couldn’t look back at him, if I did I’d beg him to come back with me. Ignoring him, I made my way back out to the cold. The wind swept up the hem of my coat and I shivered.

It was nearing one in the morning and Main Street was quiet. You could here the echo of my heels on the cobbled street. I quickly made my way towards my car and as I looked up, my heart stopped. There, leaning on my door, was Michael. He was wearing a long black overcoat. His blond hair looked windblown and his blue piercing eyes glared back at me angrily.

I couldn’t move, couldn’t speak. My body trembled in fear at the sight of him.

He uncrossed his arms and tilted his head as he took in my appearance. “Well doesn’t my girlfriend look pretty.”

“What are you doing here?” I hated that my voice trembled with dread as I spoke to him.

He started to make his way towards me and I flinched inwardly. “When you weren’t home-where I left you- I started searching for you. I couldn’t let you go just like that, sweetness.” He reached out to touch me, but I quickly pulled back before he could put his hands on me.

He sighed and closed his eyes, that anger simmering just below the surface. “Then I remembered you mentioning your grandparent’s cabin. You used to tease me about how I’d never gone skinny dipping and you wanted to bring me. You remember that, don’t you?”

I shook my head. “I don’t care. I don’t want you here. I want you to leave.”

I was glad to be standing in the middle of main street. Maybe if I screamed someone would hear me. I looked back at Maggie’s place, wishing I wouldn’t have left by myself. Praying someone would walk out and see us. He a took step towards me and I slowly cowered, inching away until my back hit the car door. He loomed over me, his expression harsh and menacing.

“I’m not leaving you, Holly. I’m going to take you back to that cabin and we won’t leave until you learn to behave.”

A chill of fear ran through my body as he roughly grabbed at my arm. He started to drag me towards his car, not caring of the pain he was inflicting on me.

“Let me go, Michael!” I screamed, trying to pull my arm away to no avail. He was stronger than I was, and he was angry.

“I don’t want anything to do with you! I fucking hate you!” I continued to yell, my voice carrying down the empty streets. I hoped that someone, anyone would hear me.

He suddenly swung me around, slamming my thighs up against the car and roughly pressing my head against the hood of his luxury car. He pressed his body against my back as I struggled to get away. I could feel his arousal against my backside and I cried out, scared. Yanking my head back, he pressed his lips to my ear.

“I’m fucking getting tired of you not listening to me,” he spat out. “You’re just a little bitch who needs a strong hand to teach her who master is.” He flipped me over, lifting me by the lapels of my coat and raising his hand. I flinched, clenching my eyes shut. I waited for the brutal impact, but when nothing came I slowly opened my eyes. My heart leapt in my chest as I found Logan, seething at Michael. He towered over him, his hand wrapped around his wrist, ready to break it at any given moment.

“Who the fuck are you?” Michael spit out, trying to get out of Logan’s vice grip.

Seething in anger, Logan dragged him off me and shoved him up against the brick wall. His forearm slammed against his wind pipe and I watched in horror as Michael eyes took on a look a fear. The same look he had produced in me so many times over. His arms started to flay out in desperation and Logan nearly lifted him off his feet, his tiptoes grazing the sidewalk, a strangled wheeze escaping him.

“You alright, baby girl?” Logan’s deep reassuring voice wafted over me, bring me back to him.

“Y-yes,” I managed to whisper.”

“Who is this piece of vile shit?” Michael tried to speak but Logan growled angrily, putting pressure on his hold. I could hear Michael struggling for breath. If I didn’t do something Logan was likely to kill him.

“He’s nobody. Just a miserable loser who can’t seem to get a clue.” I whisper sadly, catching Michael’s angry glare as he focused on me.

I place my hand gently on Logan’s forearm. He didn’t have on a jacket and I realized he must have run out of the party when he heard my scream. His ragged breaths came out in cold puffs of air. I looked up at his gorgeously furious gaze.

“He’s not worth it, Logan. Let him go.”

“He put his filthy hands on you,” he seethed.

I nodded. “He did, but yours are clean. Why don’t we keep them that way?” He looked down on me with this intensely savage look. “Don’t allow him to ruin you like he did me.” He growled angrily.

I watched as he closed his eyes, struggling to calm himself down. I might sound crazy, but I loved him like this, protective and feral. When he opened his eyes, the fury had died down some, and in its place, was a dangerous glare that made me shiver.

He leaned in on Michael, placing even more pressure on his windpipe. “I see you near her again and I’ll snap your spine in two.”

He let Michael go and he slumped to the floor, grabbing his throat and coughing for air. He pointed at us both, “You’re going to pay for this!” his voice came out rough and weak. “I’ll fucking sue you both for all your worth.”

Logan took a step towards him and Michael scurried away like a scared animal. His back met the wall and he turned his head, cringing. Logan crouched down before him and smirked. “You can do whatever the fuck you want to do to me, but you touch one hair on her head and I will come looking for you, and I promise you she won’t be there to save you when I do.

He got up and kicked at his feet. “Now get the fuck out of my town!” His rough bellow had Michael scurrying to get into his car. Seconds later he was squealing out, his car sweeping from side to side in a frenzy as he took off.

Logan stood there, his back to me, his shoulders heaving from exertion. And anger. I reached over and touched his forearm.

Logan, I…”

My words left me as he pulled me towards him, wrapping me up in his arms. I hugged him back fiercely as the tears I was holding back, finally slid down my cheeks.

“He’s hurt you before, hasn’t he?”

I nodded against his chest. “Y-yes?”

“He’s the reason you’re afraid?”

“Y-yes.” I whispered, allowing him a glimpse into my heart.

“I should have killed him.”

I shook my head and looked up at him. “He’s not worth it. You are.”

His smoldering gaze made my heart beat faster. Cupping my cheeks, he brought his forehead to mine. “I’d never hurt you, baby girl. You are much too precious to me.”

I hugged him tighter, melting into the safety of his arms. I never thought I’d find protection in a man’s arms again, but Logan gave me just that. A sweet tenderness that pulled at my heartstrings. He felt solid and safe, and I clung to his shirt, burying my face in the curve of his neck, as the thought of never letting him go overwhelmed me.
