Finding His Omega: M/M Shifter Mpreg Romance (Alphas Of Alaska Book 2) by Emma Knox (7)

Chapter 7

Riley

I didn’t want Kyle to waste time with worry and anxiety over what his pack was going to think about him being pregnant or how they would react.

I tried my best to convince him that everything would work out in the end, just like it always did.

I stroked his hair with delicate, graceful ease. He was so adorably sexy. I wanted him to feel protected by my embrace, so for tonight, I made sure to cling on to him extra tightly.

“You are trembling,” I mentioned, breathing into his neck. I felt the chill bumps instantly prickle across his skin.

“It’s okay…I’m…fine.”

Kyle wasn’t convincing, but I decided to appease him by pretending to believe his tone.

“So what if your pack doesn’t approve,” I growled. “Does that mean you should have to stifle your own happiness on accord for what they want?”

Kyle laughed bitterly. “You don’t know the members of my pack.”

I pulled away from him and scoffed. “Please tell me you aren’t serious.”

Kyle’s eyes looked fretful. “What?”

I shook my head and chuckled with the irony. “Can you really look me in the eye and think that me, growing up as an Alpha, didn’t have to go through shit from my pack members? That my own father wasn’t so tough and hard on me that I didn’t feel like running away sometimes?”

Kyle and I gazed at each other for what seemed like eternity, then his expression relaxed, faded into something that was less rigid than before.

“I guess you are right.” He chuckled gently, flickered his eyes to the floor carpeted floor of the living room.

“Of course I’m right.” I laughed. I was only teasing him. I didn’t know Kyle very well yet, but from what I did notice already was that normally he was charismatic and untroubled.

I hated to witness his emotional collapse over something like this.

“I am going to take care of you, and the pup growing inside of you too,” I reassured him carefully.

I rubbed his stomach, grazing the top of my fingertips over his belly button. He wiggled and sighed with contentment.

“That feels so good,” he marveled.

“I want to make sure you are always happy,” I admitted. “I know we haven’t gotten to spend an exorbitant amount of time together yet, but all of that is going to change now that you are carrying my child.”

Kyle’s body physically relaxed in my arms. “I hope you are right.”

“I’m not afraid of an Omega pack,” I chortled. I didn’t mean any offense by it, but I could tell that he was placed on the defensive after that.

I tried to quickly recover. “You know what I mean…” I trailed off.

“Right, you are an Alpha…the superior race.”

Kyle’s voice was full of contempt.

I lifted his chin with my thumb and index finger. “Don’t talk like that. I respect and adore you.”

“Yeah, well…” Kyle droned with sarcasm. “You might just be the only one.”

I was growing more frustrated by the minute. “Honestly, why do you care so much about what your family thinks of you?”

Kyle’s eyes reflected harsh pain when he stared into mine. I knew he was on the verge of tears again. Crying Omegas made me swiftly uncomfortable and I would do whatever it took to make sure that didn’t happen again right now.

I knew that he was under enormous amounts of stress already, then add the pregnancy on top of that and Kyle was a raging ball of emotional and fraying nerves, on the brink of collapse.

“Hey…” I whisper softly and search Kyle’s eyes, the windows to his soul. “They can’t hurt you. They’ll have to get through me first.” I puffed out my chest with egotistical pride.

This finally made Kyle smile and he chuckled lightheartedly. “They are so demanding.”

I shrugged. “Families can be that way sometimes, but there’s got to be another solution here.”

“Yeah,” Kyle said and played with a loose thread of fabric that was wearing off of one of his couch throw pillows.

We sat together, enjoying a peaceful silence before I finally broke the silence. “I’m glad you went out searching for me,” I confessed.

Kyle laughed. “Well, I didn’t want to be a single dad alone, you know.”

I snorted. “Now you won’t have to be.” I squeezed his hand and cradled it in mine.

He gazed up at me inquisitively, as if he were trying to figure me out or scrutinize my behavior.

“What?” I laughed.

Kyle shook his head. “Nothing really. It’s just…well…” he fumbled for words.

“Come on,” I leaned up with a saucy grin. “What is it, spit it out.”

He smirked at me in response. “You are just…I don’t know, different than the other Alpha’s I’ve been with.”

I narrowed my eyes playfully. “Just how many other Alpha’s have there been?”

Kyle rolled his eyes and tossed the pillow next to him over at me. “Don’t be stupid. The past is the past.”

“Are you saying I have competition out there now?” I raised an eyebrow. I loved giving him grief for some reason.

“No!” Kyle adamantly shook his head and looked horrified. “Absolutely not.” He rubbed his belly affectionately. “I’m beyond thrilled to be carrying your child.”

“That leads me to the answer to your question,” I told him softly and traced a circle around his pajamaed knee.

Kyle’s voice perked with interest. “What is it?”

I took a deep breath. I wasn’t used to exposing my feelings to anyone, much less an Omega. I felt comfortable around Kyle. I felt like I had known him my whole life and that our relationship was natural. It might have been flawed, but we had each other and cared for one another and that’s all that mattered to me.

“I’ve always wanted a huge pack of my own,” I reminded him. “You are a gorgeous man and I feel like you will be the perfect parent.”

Kyle blushed with the compliment. “Thanks. I think you will be a great father too.”

“I hope so.” I laughed and cracked my knuckles. “I certainly don’t have any experience in the area.”

“Um, hello,” Kyle pointed to himself with charming sarcasm. “This is going to be like the blind leading the blind here.”

“We will get through it together,” I assured him.

Then something wild and crazy happened to me. I was overwhelmed with emotions of joy that I couldn’t resist or swallow them. Tears pooled in my eyes and spilled over, dripping down my cheeks as I tasted their salty perfection.

These tears were the endearing proof that I would do whatever it took to protect Kyle and my unborn child.

They were mine, and I was theirs. I would be bonded to Kyle for life, and I couldn’t imagine spending my life with anyone else besides him.

I thought it was funny, in an ironic sort of way. I had been jealous of my Alpha peers for so long. The more of them that ran off and got married, starting packs of their own, the further I sank into a solitude of depression.

Now, I had a pup on the way and I was elated to meet the little guy in only a few months’ time.

“I’m sorry,” I sniffed, now embarrassed.

“It’s okay,” Kyle soothed and rubbed my back in a consoling manner. “I know how you feel.”

I glanced into his eyes, pouring my soul out to him with a tear stained expression. “I just can’t express my excitement any other way than to cry about it,” I joked.

I cleared my throat, trying desperately to compose myself once again. “Being a father is all I ever really wanted.”

“Now your dream is coming true,” Kyle whispered with soft affection.

I grinned as a thought of wonderment came to me out of nowhere. “I wonder who he’ll look like?”

Kyle giggled. “If he’s lucky, he’ll be gorgeous like you.”

“Are you kidding me?” I scoffed. “I would kill for blond hair like that.”

“You think so?” Kyle pondered my compliment and ran a hand through his thick, yet short locks.”

“Absolutely.” I nodded with a twinkle in my eye.

He shrugged. “I’ve always kind of hated my hair color.”

I gruffed. “Why the hell would you say something outlandish like that?”

“I don’t know,” Kyle laughed, “I guess I want to be tall, dark and brooding like you.” He glanced up at me with longing.

I hugged him tightly. “You just leave that for the Alpha’s. That’s what makes us so desirable,” I teased.

Kyle rolled his eyes and smirked. “You are so full of yourself.”

“So?” I laughed. “What’s your point?”

Kyle reclined back in the couch. “I guess I don’t have one.”

“We are going to be great parents,” I said with a burst of confidence. “I can’t wait to teach our pup to run through the forest and hunt.”

Kyle made a sour face. “I’ve never been the hunting type.”

“Of course you aren’t,” I teased him. “You don’t have to be.”

“Well if you are the one teaching him then I guess I approve,” Kyle testified.

“That’s right,” I retorted. “That will be one lucky kid.”

Kyle stared off into space.

“What are you thinking about?” I asked.

“I’m thinking about holding my baby for the first time, being with you when we officially become a family.”

I sigh as the dream comes to life in my vision too. “That will be a wonderful day indeed.”

I think about my own pack, and how I have watched my nieces and nephews growing up. I know that because of the practice of being around them, I’ll probably know what it takes to be a dad by the time the new baby comes.”

“How are you feeling?” I asked Kyle.

He glanced up at me with a comical look on his face. “You mean besides the roller coaster of emotions going up and down?”

I laughed. Kyle was playful and lighthearted even through the burden of stress he carried around and I respected and admired him for that.

“Yes.” I nodded with a pat to his knee. “Besides that fun stuff.”

“Alright I guess.” Kyle shrugged. There are certain smells that turn my stomach over, but for the most part I’ve been alright with morning sickness.” He picked at his nail. “The irony of my life is that I’ll probably double over with sickness just for stating the fact that I feel okay.”

“I’m sure you will be fine,” I told him.

Speaking of scents, I noted privately how Kyle had a different smell to him now. It was not the same as when he was in heat, but it was pleasant and appealing all the same. I had a hunger fueled by desire that began to rise once again in my belly.

My cock tingled in my pants and begged to escape, to be free to explore Kyle’s puckered little tight asshole.

Even in pregnancy, he was exceedingly handsome, glowing from the hormones.

A million fantasies skirted through my mind, making my pulse quicken. My heartbeat raced in my chest as Kyle and I exchanged a look.

Without words, we undressed each other with our eyes, longing for another night of incredible passion together.

I sat there, drinking him in. He was so adorable in his pajamas and I wanted to rip them from his body.

The animal side of me threatened to expose itself to the surface once again and I knew I’d have to pounce on Kyle before the night’s end.

I leaned in and planted a soft and delicate kiss on Kyle’s neck. He moaned and conformed to my touches, coaxing me on and driving me with an ignition of passion filled lust.

“I love the fact that you are carrying my child,” I whispered seductively in his ear and nibbled on his ear lobe until he giggled with pleasure. “It’s such a turn on. It’s so…hot.”

Kyle returned my kisses. His mouth pressed to mine and destroyed me with desire and passion. He moaned, grunted and climbed on top of me as I ran my hands through his hair with desperate need and affection.

Our hands were shaking, fumbling to remove our clothing and we couldn’t keep our hands off of each other.

I clawed at Kyle’s back, digging my nails in as the heat of passion consumed and filled me up. I could feel his hard shaft poking at my belly and I couldn’t wait to pull it out and play with it.

Kyle had a look of wild and naughty mischief on his face as he unlatched the buckle to my belt.

He worked to tug off my pants and finally free the beast within. My cock pulsed and throbbed as Kyle teased me, grazing his fingertips up and down my shaft.

I needed him with frantic, crazy desire. Each beat of my heart was for Kyle and our unborn child.

When I was with him, the world melted away and disappeared into the distance, becoming a fuzzy blur. All that was left was us, and the chemistry that created a union of sexual energy around our bodies.

“Kiss me,” Kyle begged, panted into my ears. He was on top of me, straddling me as I planted a showering of kisses all over his body, rubbing him all over.

We were naked, sweaty and hungry with desire. My heart felt like it might explode at any moment.

Kyle drove out the wild and untamable nature that I contained within myself. When I was with him, I felt like I was on top of the world and nothing at all could stop me…or us. Nothing was in our way and for a few brief moments, the cares of the world disappeared.
