Ingredients to Love by Dixie Lynn Dwyer (9)

Chapter Eight

Alessa stared at Cobra as he slept. He looked angry, hard, even in sleep. He was older than her by at least ten years, and so big and filled with muscles. The scars on his chest and his ribs brought on a surge of thoughts and emotions. She saw them on Roman, too, even a small scar on Ziek and one on Lenox. They all had survived different injuries. Was it to get to her? To belong to her? To find her and rescue her from this life of disappointment and pain?

She felt the tears fill her eyes. They were all so good looking, charismatic, and magnetic. Which meant other women would find them attractive and prey on them. She didn’t like the sensations of jealousy that erupted in her gut. She didn’t like it one bit, she feared she could screw things up and focus on that instead of them caring for her. Was she dreaming? Was she caught in what she wanted to be real and what was reality? How could four made men love her? It was impossible. Surely they could care. The sex was…oh, the sex was incredible. The bond, the connection so deep and cosmic at the same time.

She swallowed hard. What was she going to do about Roberto? About the fact that he paid off her student loans as if he owned her? She was scared of him. Just as she was scared of Calvin. She thought about this real estate deal, and about what Roger and Calvin could have possibly brewed up to keep the Fiorres and her men, yes, her men, from gaining that real estate. She nibbled her bottom lip as her legal mind began to swirl with ideas. She sat up.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Cobra asked in a deep, hard tone, not even bothering to open his eyes. He was awake? Jesus, he probably thought she was some weirdo staring at him as he slept.

“I need to shower and clear my head. Then we need to see your lawyers, and Collin and Fedarro’s, so we can resolve this situation with the real estate and then sever my ties with Roberto, Calvin, and Roger.” She started to climb off the bed when Lenox grabbed her around the waist and hoisted her up on top of him.

“There are no ties to you and Roberto. He has nothing to hold you in place. To make you feel like he owns you in any way. So what that he got you those jobs with Rogan’s bar and a few others? Your reputation will land you dozens and more of those types of places. You’ll be living your dream and with us by your side as support, security, and guidance,” Lenox told her. She smiled, thinking about how she talked them to nearly death last night in between making love and sharing everything she could with them. She learned about them, too, although they didn’t talk much about family, and claimed they had cousins in Texas, in a town called Pearl, and how they loved visiting there when they had time off. They talked about Francine’s restaurant, and a type of country diner, some boutiques, and the towns’ people. It sounded like a fairy tale.

“How about taste testers, too?” she teased, learning what their favorite desserts were. Well, after they claimed it was her sweet cream and then chocolate fudge brownies for Cobra. Blondies, for Lenox. Cheesecake for Ziek, and apple crisp for Roman.

Lenox rolled her to her back and spread her thighs, then immediately licked her pussy.

“Oh yeah, taste testers for your cream day and night, any time,” he teased.

“Lenox!” she scolded and Ziek chuckled.

Roman reached over just as Cobra did and played with her nipples.

“Taste testing sounds good to me,” Roman said and licked her nipple on one side as Cobra licked the other side.

Ziek stood by the edge of the bed as she moaned and lifted her hips.

He was slapping the tube of lube against his hand.

“My new favorite thing to do. Claim our woman together,” he said and gave her a wink until she felt her pussy spasm, and she came.

So much for getting the day started and helping to her friends and her lovers get what they wanted. Apparently, her men knew just how to control her. With hands, tongues, kisses, and their cocks. She could wake up every morning just like this.

Cobra was more than impressed with Alessa’s knowledge of the law, but even more so of her knowledge of her uncle’s capabilities. She actually had shit on him and on Calvin.

When she pulled out her iPad and started typing on it, and then sending things to the attorneys, the men widened their eyes, looked at her, and leaned back in their chairs.

“So if they want to play hardball, and try to fight your claims, just send that first paragraph to Calvin and Roger. They’ll know you mean business by that statement you sent thirty minutes ago. However, knowing them as well as Roberto and this need for revenge, I wouldn’t put it past Roberto to get Roger and Calvin to do just about anything. Even if that means risking their law degrees and going to jail. The money Roberto promised them must be insane. He’s very wealthy,” she added.

“This is incredible, Alessa. You really have a superior understanding for the law. This is all legit on our end and is bringing up questions to the estate lawyers that will surely get them fearful that they could stand to be prosecuted by law, as well,” Armani James, Fedarro’s lawyer, stated.

“Well, it brings their attitudes down a notch and lets them know that you mean business and want this settled,” she replied.

Armani’s phone rang and he looked at her and then the others. “It’s the estate lawyer.”

“Be nonchalant and tough,” she whispered. He winked at her as he leaned back and answered the call.

Alessa looked over at Cobra, Ziek, Roman, and Lenox and looked worried, but then Armani sat forward.

“My clients would be fine with that. Of course, and as long as the closing goes through tomorrow morning, then I think my clients will accept that as the final offer. No, of course there won’t be a need to contact the local authorities in any way. It’s now a legit deal like was our intention from the start. I’d hope this experience has warned you away from such criminal and corrupt buyers and lawyers like Roberto, Roger, and Calvin,” Armani said and winked at Alessa.

“Yes, the Preston family has generations of lawyers as do the Frosters, but don’t seem to be trustworthy. I, for one, will decline any involvement in any business whatsoever from here on out. I’m also going to tell my associates.” The estate lawyer said.

“Agreed. Thank you and see you tomorrow morning at eleven.”

“Well?” Fedarro asked.

Armani smiled. “You got it. The six of you are closing on the real estate investment tomorrow morning at eleven, and at the original offer you gave.”

“Fantastic,” Collin stated.

“Alessa, any time you want to use that law degree and work for me, even per diem, you let me know. I will higher you on the spot and pay you the highest I possibly could afford. You were amazing, and these men owe you a lot, never mind dinner. I’ll get things rolling and we’ll meet tomorrow,” he said, and the other lawyers stood up, too, and they all shook hands with the men and with Alessa. As the lawyers walked out of the room, Roman pulled her into his arms and hugged her.

“You were amazing. How come you didn’t tell us that you had information on Roger and Calvin?” he asked.

“I was holding onto it for the right time. I always thought I would need it eventually to keep them away from me, and out of my life.”

“So you used your hidden ace for us?” Cobra asked, with his arms crossed in front of his chest. She eyed him over.

“You’re worth it,” she said. Ziek and Lenox chuckled along with Fedarro and Collin.

“Get over here,” Cobra ordered and she did, immediately, knowing that he was in charge, and she was the woman of four made men. It also helped that she expressed how intimidated she was of him, and Roman especially. Not that he was using that. She knew he cared for her deeply, hell, probably loved her. He held her close and ran his palm over her ass.

“Kiss me, woman. Tonight we celebrate.”
