Irresistible Omega: M/M Non-Shifter Alpha/Omega MPREG (The Eden Pines Omegas Book 1) by Chelsee Vine (24)

________

SEBASTIAN

“Bryan! Bryan!”  I gently patted his face as he lay limp in my arms.  Thank goodness I was able to catch him as he fainted, saving his head from crashing to the floor.

Carl put a cool, damp cloth on his forehead and Bryan slowly stirred and then opened his eyes.  He looked at me and smiled and it melted my heart.  After fainting his first reaction was to smile at me, and it made me feel like a million bucks.  Everything I thought I was going to say to Bryan, every kind of asshole I was planning to be toward him went out the window when I saw the pregnancy tests and he fainted.  He still had to take the test, but the possibility that he might be pregnant changed everything.

“Hi,” I whispered as I smiled at him.

“Hi,” he whispered back with a big smile on his face.

He looked over at Carl and then looked around and looked at me again.

“What happened and how did I get on my bed?”

I helped him take a sip of water as I gently stroked his face and glanced at Carl who slowly nodded at me and looked back at Bryan.

“You fainted, sweetheart.  You threw up a few times today and I came over as soon as I found out you were sick.  Carl brought something for you and you need to take them when you are feeling better.”

“What did you bring me, Carl?  Something to settle my stomach?” He asked as he looked over at his friend.

Carl knelt down beside the bed, glanced at me, and held Bryan’s hand, concern written all over his face.

“No, honey, I bought pregnancy tests.  I think you need to take them.”

The room was completely silent as Carl’s words hung heavy in the air and I could see the wheels spinning in Bryan’s head.  He looked nervous as he looked at me.

“Pregnancy tests?  I think I just have a virus or something.  I can’t be pregnant, Sebastian, I am just getting started with work and trying to get my name out there.”

I could see that he was getting visibly upset and I just wanted to calm him down.  I helped him take another sip of water because I knew he was dehydrated.  This time he finished the whole bottle.

“Sweetheart, no matter what the test says, everything will be okay.  I am so sorry that things got muddled between us.”  I looked at him and held his gaze.  “I promise you that nothing happened with Jason.  I would not hurt you like that, Bryan.  I love you and I want to be with you and no one else.  Can we please pick up where we left off?”

I didn’t care that Carl was in the room; he was Bryan’s best friend so I considered him to be like family.

Tears rolled slowly down his cheeks as he smiled and slowly nodded at me.  I leaned down and placed a soft kiss on his lips and then gathered him in my arms for a hug.

“I love you,” I whispered in his ear.

“I love you, too,” he whispered back.

“Okay you love birds, we need to get this test taken care of.  Bryan, are you feeling up to it?”  Carl asked.

I had almost forgotten he was in the room while I was having my intimate moment with Bryan.  But he was right.  We did need to take the test because we needed to know if our lives would be changed forever.

Bryan let out a deep sigh as he stood up.  “I’ll be right back.”

Carl narrowed his eyes at me and crossed his arms as Bryan went into the bathroom and closed the door.

“You better not fuck this up.  Bryan is the best thing to ever happen to you and you’re lucky he is even speaking to you after what he walked in on in Paris.”

I was a little taken aback at first by his attitude but I completely understood that he was just looking out for his friend.  “Yes, I know.  However, Carl, I swear to you that nothing happened with Jason.  I love Bryan more than I even knew was possible and I would never do anything like that to hurt him.  Don’t worry, your best friend is in good hands.”

Just then Bryan walked out and set the three tests on the counter.

“Well,” he said as he looked at us, “now we wait for a couple of minutes.”

I walked over to him, put my arm around him and kissed him.

“Whatever the results, I love you and I want to be with you.”  Before he could respond to me I knelt down on one knee, pulled the ring out of my pocket, looked at him and smiled.

“Bryan Steele, I love you more than anything in the world and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.  You have changed my life in the most wonderful ways.  I want to travel the world with you, raise a family with you and live happily ever after with you.  Bryan, my love, will you marry me?”

His eyes filled with tears as he looked down at me and he began nodding frantically.

“Yes!” he exclaimed as the tears rolled down his face.

I gathered him in my arms and gave him a deep kiss as I held him tight.

“You guys!  Congratulations!” Carl said when we broke from the kiss.

I looked at him and he also had tears in his eyes, which I thought was very sweet.

“Thanks, Carl.  I’m glad you were here to witness this because I know you’re Bryan’s best friend and you’re family.”

Bryan looked at me and smiled.

“Another reason why I love you so much.  You love my friend and you are so sweet to him.”

“I am so happy for both of you!”  Carl said as he gave us each a hug.

I glanced over at the pregnancy sticks sitting on the counter and looked at Bryan.

“Should we go see the results?”

He looked nervous as he linked his fingers through mine.  “Yes.”

My heart was pounding as we slowly made our way over to the counter but I didn’t want Bryan or Carl to see my nervousness so I put on a brave face.  I told myself that whatever the result, we would handle it together.  Carl sat on the couch looking more nervous than me and I thought it was sweet.

As Bryan and I approached the counter we both looked down at the tests at the same time and I swear my heart skipped a beat.  I squeezed his hand and then we looked at each other and smiled, and then looked over at Carl.

“We’re going to have a baby!”  We both said in unison.
