Jion (A Sci Fi Alien Abduction Romance) (Aliens Of Xeion) by Maia Starr (12)

Chapter Twelve

Ambassador Jion Lek

Looking at the way she looked at me with her beautiful blue eyes, I could not say no to Lauren. She pleaded with me to forgive her; I had to. Although it made me angry to think of her with K4T, I had to put it in the past. She had forgiven me for taking her from Earth. I had to give her the same forgiveness that she had given me.

I could not say no to her anyway. She made me feel crazy. She drove me wild. I could not keep my hands off of her. After we laid together again, I realize that it was possible that she carried my offspring. I hoped that it was true. She had really opened up to me. She had gone from not trusting me and running away from me to seeing that I would put my life on the line for her. Now, we were going together to plead to the king. I could only hope that he would allow us to live together on my home planet that I loved. I wanted to share my home with her and protect her and guard her for the rest of our lives.

But that decision would be up to the king. I knew that he would punish me. Would he take away my position as an ambassador? I didn't know.

After two days in space, we had arrived outside of my home planet. I was growing nervous. I had to be ready to face whatever happened.

“Jion, what if the king says no? What if he wants you to be exiled? And what if he wants me to stay on the planet? What will we do then?” Lauren asked.

“I don't want to be without you, Lauren,” I said.

“And I want to be with you, no matter what planet we are on.”

“If I am exiled, then I will have to find a way to steal you. We will have to leave the planet together, and we will have to do it fast. So if I suddenly take you into my arms and onto a ship, don't fight it,” I said to her.

“I think I have gotten better at not putting up a fight over every single thing,” she laughed.

“That is true. But I have to believe that the king will side with us. But if he doesn't, we will find a way to be together; I promise you that. I won't let you down,” I said to her.

“Come in, ship; identify yourself,” I heard over the radio.

“What is that?” she asked.

“That is communication in my city. I am not in a Kynon ship. So they don’t know who I am,” I said.  I turned the radio on and spoke into the receiver.

“This is Ambassador Jion Lek.  I am requesting permission to land. I have just returned from the planet X003, where our mission crash-landed; do I have permission to land?”

“Hold please, Ambassador,” the Kynon said.

I looked at Lauren. It was a tense moment. We could be turned away, and I would never get to plead my case to the king. But at least we would be together. I really did mean what I told her: that I would do anything for us to be together, and I would keep that promise. I wasn't going to let her down, even if they turned us away before I could speak with the king.

“What are we going to do if they don't let you land?”

“Then we will go to the nearest moon station where I can fill up on fuel and we will make a plan. There are plenty of planets, millions of them that can sustain life. We will find one that you like and go there and make a new life for ourselves,” I said to her as I reached out for her hand. She put her hand in mine and squeezed it.

“I like the sound of that. Any planet that is Earth-like would be good for me. I like trees and plants and nature,” she said.

I smiled. “Then you are going to like my home planet. If we are allowed to land.”

“Ambassador, you are cleared to land. The king has been notified of your arrival. Stay on the line for communication. Land at port 026.”

“Confirmed. Heading to port 026.”

I looked at Lauren and smiled. She smiled back, and her shoulders dropped. She was relieved, as was I. Now all we had to do was land, plead our case to the king, force him to let us stay together, and then go to my home. It was a lot to think about, so I could only think about one step at a time.

And so we arrived. We were in front of the king and his sons. I had a lot of explaining to do. I was also planning in my head what I would do if he denied me. I had left the ship in the port but did not request for it to be fueled, so I would have to take a different ship. I would have to steal Lauren again.

“Ambassador, it is shocking to see you here,” King Qinov said.

“Yes, I understand how it can be shocking.”

“I am ready to hear what has happened,” he said.

So I pleaded my case to the king and told him everything. I told him how the ship had wrecked, but he already knew. Captain Alicron Qinov had already returned to the planet, which was how the fleet was on the cyborg planet. So he knew that much to be true. Then I told him about how when I woke up from the crash I was with Lauren. I had grown attached to her. Then I explained to him about what happened with K4T and how he deceived Lauren. The king listened quietly as I told him everything. When I told him that I betrayed the orders for me to stay on the mission to look for the other human females and to abandon Lauren, I could tell that he grew uncomfortable.

“That is a serious crime for you to disobey an order from your prince. But you already know this being an ambassador,” the king said.

“Yes, I know that it is a crime. I am willing to accept my punishment. But I needed to rescue this human. I was doing what I thought was right. And I must say, my king, it is possible that this human carries my offspring. So you can see why I needed to rescue her,” I said.

“That does change things, Ambassador.  You leave me no choice. Though you betrayed your prince, I cannot let the offspring that is needed here to leave the planet. You are pardoned for your crimes, and you will take this human as your own and protect her and the offspring. It is the most important thing to do for the survival of our race. But you must never disobey an order ever again, no matter how it might affect your own personal desires.”

“Yes, my king. I understand. I have never disobeyed an order in my life. I take my position as an ambassador very seriously. It is my life. But you know this as you have seen my work personally. I have no intention of disobeying an order. I will take this human female and protect her with my life, as I have been. She will produce offspring and help us escape extinction, the entire reason for the mission.”

“Then you shall take this human female officially in marriage and be united. You will take her to your home. The marriage arrangements will be made, and you will be notified. You are dismissed,” the king said.

“Thank you, my king. We will not disappoint you,” I said as I grabbed Lauren’s hand. She bowed to the king. He gave her a nod.

“Welcome to Xeion, Lauren Kate. May you have many happy days here and produce offspring with Ambassador Jion Lek.”

“Thank you, my king,” she said.

We left the king's chambers. We walked through the castle and out into the city of Gora. It was beautiful, and I appreciated it more after being stranded on the cyborg planet.

“So that is it. We can stay?” Lauren asked.

“Yes, we can,” I said smiling at her.

She smiled back. “It is beautiful here. I never imagined it would be this beautiful,” she said.

“Come, I want to show you to my home. Our home,” I said holding her hand and leading her through the palace grounds. Most Kynon with political standing had homes near the castle since our work was mostly conducted on palace grounds.
