Chapter 11

Chase

Having Lily at my side and watching her and Jake together is a feeling I never thought would happen to me. Growing up in foster care and being passed around like a joint isn’t what I want for Jake. My mother couldn’t keep her nose clean long enough to provide for me and in turn CPS came in and put me into the system.

Everytime I was in a house that I thought was stable, my foster parents would change in a matter of weeks and then I just became a paycheck to them. When I realized they were taken me in to fill their pockets, I’d start acting out.

I never had a constant female figure in my life until I came to the club and met Queenie and Dani. I had my mother’s sister, Gina in Virginia but she wasn’t steady. She wasn’t as bad as my mother, but she was dependent on everyone else to take care of her.

Lily’s stronger than she thinks she is, especially to go through what she went through last night and she’s not still crying and looking over her shoulder. Instead, she endured it and it’s as if nothing happen.

She moved out here on her own and with little help from the club, got on her feet again. She has a job and she even bought a cottage not long after she came here. Yeah, I was a prick to her, but after asking around and listening to my brothers talk about her, I found out that everything I thought of her was bullshit. She’s independent and fiercely protective of the people she cares about.

She may not have the greatest relationship with Ginger, but she chose to go with that dickhead instead of allowing him to put an end to Ginger.

In away this trait’s a flaw, because instead of looking out for herself, she’s willing to get herself hurt to protect them. When it comes to Jake, he needs that type of woman around who’s willing to put aside her own safety for his. I know Ginger would never shield my kid. She’s only concerned with herself and she showed that in spades last night.

We’re all sitting in the main room, my woman, Dani, Sadie, Razz, Winter, Ginger, most of my brothers and the kids when Rudy hollers for Church. I get up from my place, but not before I kiss Lily’s forehead and squeeze Jake’s shoulder since he’s in her lap telling her all about what she’s missed out. I feel bad for putting a hold on their relationship, but that won’t be happening again if I can help it.

In Church, we all take our seats waiting expectedly for Rudy and Marc to start.

“As most of you know by now, Lily was taken last night by her ex, David Lambert. Professor has been looking into him since Lil gave him the information.” He turns to Professor.

“As of two months ago, David has been on the run from the military police. Apparently, he’s being charged with aggravated sexual assault on a female airman. He’s facing time in the Stockade. From what I can find on him since Lily left him more than six months ago from his finances, he’s been buying extravagant gifts, a new car and a speed boat. But as of last month, most of that has been repo’d, except his house, which is on its way to foreclosure.”

“He blames Lily for his downfall.” I speak up. “I’m assuming she took care of everything and he reaped the rewards by being able to do whatever he wanted. When she left, he had to take over. Obviously, the thrill of cheating on Lily died and he moved on to forcing himself on a woman. She probably isn’t the only one that he’s raped. She’s just the only one to speak up so far.”

Rudy nods. “You’re probably right. I put in a call to Rip at the Kissimmee chapter in Florida. Some of his boys that are here had already gave him a heads up. He’s going to send a few of his men to the address Lily gave us for David to check it out. In the meantime, I want us all to be proactive. Lily’s never to be alone and make sure all the women know that they can’t go anywhere without having someone with them.”

“That won’t be a problem, Prez.” I growl. “Lily will be either staying at Dani and Ryker’s or I’ll be staying with her.”

“Does Lily agree with this decision?” Rudy asks with his brow pinched.

“I told her last night after we got her settled in her room. I guess I should let all of you know that I’m claiming her. She’s off limits. If she needs to be protected, I’ll be the one doing it.”

“Is that so?” Buzzard snarls from the other end of the table.

“It is. And Buzzard, Madalene says hi.”

“Where the fuck did you see Madalene?” Now I’ve got his attention.

“She’s the cashier at the gas station where Lily hid. I let her know that if she ever needed anything to call us.” I turn my head to Rudy and tap my fist on the table. “I hope that’s alright, Prez.”

“It’s all good. If it had been anyone else that Lily had bombarded, they probably would’ve called the pigs.” I nod. “Alright, if there isn’t anything else you fuckers need to spill, then we’re done. Chase’s claimed Lil and we all know to be vigilante until this bastard’s dealt with.” He bangs the gavel and we all push out of our chairs and head out the door.

Time to get to my girl, but before I can Ginger’s coming down the hall quickly towards me, paying no attention to the other brothers.

“Chase, we need to talk.” She whines.

“Nope, Ginger, there’s nothing to talk about. I’m with Lily. She’s mine and I’m hers. No more fucking around.”

“But Chase, we all know you like variety and you’ve got particular taste when it comes to fucking. She can’t give you that. She’s reserved. The best your cock will be getting is missionary. You ready to give up a good hard fuck for slow gentle love making?”

“I’ll fuck her missionary for the rest of my life if that’s the only action my dick gets. The only thing that matters to me is that Jake and her are happy. You don’t fit in this equation anymore. So get going and attach yourself to another brother, but I’ll warn you, if you fuck with me and Lily, the whole club’ll come down on you.” I bypass her and head straight to my woman and kid. It’s time to get them home.

The rest of the afternoon and evening is filled with the kids playing in the pool and the rest of us watching over them. I haven’t let Lily leave my side very often, especially in the skimpy fuchsia one piece that is high on her hips and cuts to a V in the front giving me a breathtaking view of her tits.

Jake’s been the same way minus being entranced by her body. He swam with the other kids for a couple of hours and then left them to sit on the foot of the lounge chair with Lily while she leans her back into my chest.

I haven’t heard my boy talk this much the entire time I’ve had him, but I love the fuck out of it. Jake animatedly talks with his hands and Lily giggles fully enrapt in my son’s stories. She’s talked to him about school, which I know is an issue with him when it comes to meeting new people.

“Jake, you know most of those kids are just like you.” Lily tells him softly. “Their scared too, so maybe you should pick one other kid and get to know them. They might surprise you and like things that you like that Tate, Rory and Lyla don’t. I know you love your Legos and Tate’s more into the Xbox, right?” He nods biting his thumb nail. “Then maybe there’s another little boy or even girl that likes building things with Legos.” She scruffs up his hair and he laughs.

“Alright, Babe.” Jake states shocking the shit out of me.

“Jake, she’s not your babe, son.”

“Well if she’s your babe, she’s my babe.” He says unperturbed.

“Little dude, I don’t think people will appreciate you calling Lily babe. Maybe you should just stick with Lily or Lil like everybody else, okay?”

“Yeah, Dad.” He murmurs disappointedly.

“You know, bud, you could come up with a nickname for me other than babe or Lil and it’ll be just ours.” Lily tells him while rubbing my thighs with her hands and of course, my dick becomes painfully hard once again. Shit, this woman’s giving me aching balls and a dick that wants to salute everyone.

“What other nicknames are there?” He asks.

“I don’t know. Let’s think about this for a minute.” She brings her face closer to his. “My dad used to call me Toots.”

“Lily, I don’t know if that’s better than Babe.” I grunt. “I can see it now in the grocery store looking at expiration dates on the milk and Jake yelling, ‘hey, Toots can we get chocolate syrup.’ You might want to reconsider.”

“That wouldn’t offend me. Do you want to call me Toots, Jake? You and only my Dad would’ve ever called me that and I would be honored if you did since my Dad isn’t here to do it himself.” Well don’t I feel like an asshole. I’d completely forgot about Wiz.

“Yes, Toots.” He laughs and a wide smile spreads across his face. He hugs her neck tightly. “I love you, Toots.”

“I love you too, Bud to the Big Dipper and back.” Lily whispers in his ear.

Jake pulls away from Lily and glares at me. “Now you’ve got your Babe and I’ve got my Toots.”

“Alright then, I’m glad we got that straight.”
